    The foster mom, Andrea,is my good friend and co worker. I watch you ,Christina, every week and have for a long time. I appreciate your heart and compassion in your videos. So when I saw this video, it hit close to home. I thought you did a good job of researching and covering this story. Please know that the foster mom still thinks of Dylan every day and mourns his passing. She is a caring loving soul, just as you portrayed. Dylans loss was such a sad and unnecessary loss. I too wish the best for Dylans brother and think of him often. May Dylans memory last and laws be passed to prevent this from ever happening to another baby. RIP sweet baby Dylan.

    I live in Australia and I just want to say that the Department of Child Services is just as negligent here- I was in and out of care from age 10-18. They would prematurely place me back into the care of my mum and then within 2-4 weeks I was placed into foster care again. At age 14 I was placed back with my mum, 13 days later she knocked me unconscious with a pan. A COOKING PAN. I needed stitches in my head. The signs were always there, I was vocal about the abuse and I was still put into their care time and time again.

And cps was called and she has been working hard af to get her child back for the past 9 months. I hate the system. Yes! I've always said, "every child deserves a parent, not every parent deserves a child". The system ABSOLUTELY failed this child. The foster mom SHOULD have been granted custody atleast for an extended period. They should be smart enough to know if you are married to a H addict then the spouse must likely is as well .. not always, and I'm not saying anything bad here.. addicts can change IF they truly want to, but in this case someone should have HAD to watch him pee TO BE SURE that he wasn't making someone else do it for him. The system ABSOLUTELY failed in so many ways in this case.

    Hi, Christina. This actually happened where I live. 2 DCBS workers have been indicted for child endangerment relating to this case AND a separate one where 5 year old Annabell Greene was also murdered in the same county, July 2020 suffering multiple injuries and bruises about her body/head. Other children placed in their home (grandparents) had also been abused. DCBS is 100% liable in these cases along with the abusers for not properly doing their job and ensuring safety for these children. In baby Dylan's case, documents had been forged and home visits weren't done when they were supposed to be. Baby Dylan died in March at only 2 months old. The community was/is absolutely OUTRAGED towards DCBS when these murders occured that could've been avoided. These cases have left a scar on the community. DCBS needs to step up around this area because precious babies dying at the hands of monsters due to neglecting their jobs is UNACCEPTABLE!

    • @Jaya-zn7vr
      @Jaya-zn7vr 2 года назад +2

      I feel for your community but DCPS is underfunded, overworked and exasperated by their inability to do the job they chose to do properly! Imagine having 40-50 families that you have to visit every month at least once! 50 families like these people that need heaps of time every few days yet they are hinged by laws eg having to give baby Dylan back to these killers even if you know in your heart it's the wrong decision....This job is SOUL DESTROYING!! BL, governments need to see DCPS in a different light, one that helps in the moment to help in the future! Give them all the funds they need, change laws e.g. blood tests instead of urine tests before babies are returned AND only 15 cases at a time for each social worker! These people do a thankless, insurmountable job!

The biggest thing I cant figure out is how they sleep at night and live day to day knowing how evil they are, I've NEVER heard a good story, not even partially coming from a child that was in their custody, ALWAYS horror stories and when they need to make a sound decision look how it turns out, with death or children being hurt in their custody either worse than being home... they need to involve themselves and make the parents educate themselves and be positive towards the children but never remove the child from the home because it messes up the childs head, unless its dire and a child court judge told me that when I interviewed him... so maybe there's a 1 percent chance of good workers but its scarce and on interview of some ex CPS employees, they liked the paycheck and it was pretty much a leisure posistion that they took out of college because they needed the experience or to make money until they found their way to their job of choice.

    From what I've seen & heard: Child services either puts a good (good enough) family thru hell, OR let things like this happen. And I DO blame them as much as the abusers/killers bc obviously Child services are the only sane ones in the room... expectedly anyway.

      They're currently putting my kids, husband, and I through hell. We love our kids. We care for our kids day in and out. They're fed, clothed, have every toy they could want, yet the school called in a report of neglect because my son was considered underweight because of the meds he was on. Here we are a year later trying to get our case closed but they're dragging it out. Despite talking to my kids and them telling the social worker that I cook dinner every night and they eat a bunch at the sitters. They grilled my children. Asked them how they get punished. Asked them if they feel like mom and dad love them. They asked my kids if anyone touches their privates. Like that was never even part of the case. I asked them why they'd even ask that. Their response was "you were molested as a child. Most victims go on to molest their kids." I'm over it.

    If I were to ever be in prison, and someone like her came in and I know what she did... let me tell ya, I’d be willing to get more time to take care of that situation. I really hope she’s getting what she deserves in prison! And CPS is a very failed system!
