I used to listen to chosun ninja’s vlogs once in a while back in the day. He was a super nice guy when responding to comments. I don’t think I ever saw any of his technique videos- but watching this- man this kind of stuff was taught in dojos across America for the longest time. It’s amazing what we found acceptable back then.
Rest In Peace Chosun Ninja. His techniques were questionable, but he was cool dude.

Ramsey! We have to do a collab soon! I have some hypotheses for ways to use Capoeira in a non-bullshido way, so potentially that could be a followup to your awesome capoeira in mma video. Korean media criticized Greg as "the most embarrassing Korean". Koreans living in Canada claimed that Greg was "an act of degrading Koreans by Japanese disguised as Koreans." note that. Some of the people who agreed with Greg's policy of "teaching martial arts to many people for free" and some of Greg's students were more skilled than Greg. Those people soon left Greg. His former students were instructed to act like he was the good guy. And he acted to Greg's script, but he left him shortly after. Greg directed other students to harass those former students. Greg himself abused student accounts and passwords to criticize Japanese people online. last year. Greg owns FB.

I've come a long way since then, but I got my start with a lot of misc Choson Ninja's techniques back as a teenager. I never understood why he was so defensive about his odd stances on history etc. But in terms of basic techniques (kicks, multi punches etc.) it got me started with martial arts. I was glad to see this video was pretty rounded and respectful of something that clearly wasn't that ideal. Good on you guys.

One small advice. At 12:40, the correct technique isn't just moving your hands up and towards yourself. The movement goes like this: start exactly as you did, but when you feel that the strength of his grip has been broken, don't keep going the same direction, do a fast flick movement with your forearms (your elbow will be very important here, engage it in this small movement) towards him and then (and only then) retreat in the original direction. It's hard to explain over text !!

“Falling Falcon” in Ed Parker Kenpo strikes the bicep nerve y’all are taking about in technique two from a From Two Hand Grab. But the attack is from a single lapel grab. Also when Shinigami did what I was learned to be called “Clutching Feathers” the first strike can be to the armpit instead of the bicep nerve for more effectiveness.

All you have to do is use the other hand to grab the groin. The one in front just by his groin. far easier than picking him up. And picking up a big man who headlocks you does no damage, causes no damage and doesn't loosen the grip, it just guarantees you go to the ground.

I remember ChosunNinja. He's actually really talented, but as a teacher he is egotistical and shows really impractical moves. He lies a lot about his Japanese heritage, and changes stories about it. He wants to sell his martial school so he created a weird narrative about how his school originated from Koreans of Japanese heritage and thus "Nintaijutsu" was born. He uses religion to manipulate his subs to thinking he is a good Christian, yet lies a lot and does irresponisble things to his students like having them hold a cucumber so he can cut it with a sword. Also, let's not forget his infamous Ninjato video.

First of all, don't get into a headlock. 😂 Second of all. I'm 5'9 and was playing around with a friend one night. My friend was about 6'2". We were both drunk and playing around. More likely than not, I'm probably going to get my tail kicked if I'm drunk. My friend was larger and he would aggressively place me in a headlock then squeeze and use he's weight to sling me around before I could respond. The truth is that if the larger person gets you into a headlock, they can swing you around like a rag doll. They have the leverage and momentum. However, if and when on the ground, you can escape. Critique my point if you will but if a person is bigger and stronger, then they're going to swing you around like a rag doll.

Every martial art and every martial art style is not adequately formulated for every body type. Jean-Claude Van Damme recently gave a podcast from Facebook headquarters indicating what he called "scientific martial arts". He went on to explain in the modern world we know that certain body types are able to perform actions and movements for defense and offense that other body types cannot.
For relatability, you tried to replicate his physical range of motion but were unable to do so. At least in his demonstration, he's not showing any difficulty within his range of motion, for completing the defensive move that he is suggesting.
    Once more, saying,
"One good way to get out of..."
G.P.'s instructional video *DID NOT* say that this maneuver is suitable for every body type.
For example: in classical Chinese kung fu there is a move, after being translated into English, called "mounting the horse".
I guarantee you *super-chunk* in this reenactment video would not be able "mount the horse". The move as it implies takes advantage of another person's use of the horse stance. Chuck Norris was a master of this take down.

Respectfully at 11:41. NOOOOO! First of all, if a 6'3" man grabs a much smaller person by the wrist as illustrated, and let us just assume that the attacker is 6'3" and grabbing a female who is 5'3", the female is probably not going to be able to break the grip of the other person. Some people have ridiculous hand strength. As well, the wrist grab scenario is taught in about Every " Self Defense " school for beginner training. It's not only completely impractical but is also a very rare occurrence, if any.

You first technique won't work because of the relationship between your body and your opponents body, wrong tool wrong time. The guy applying the head lock has his inside leg, his left leg, back and the victim's inside leg, his right leg, is in front, the technique won't work. Chosen has his inside leg behind the attackers inside leg. I'm not defending Chosen and his techniques, I am however defending honesty in the calculus of what works and doesn't work in various situations.
