Glad the repair was on point! It would be pretty cool if the car saved the info you put so you have a digital save in the car at all times.
That’s a great idea! It would keep me from having to track everything separately.
I wonder if the oil pan leak is a common thing because my 22 Ascent also was leaking from the pan. Thankfully the leak was caught in time and it was a very tiny one. Subaru took care of it right away.
Yeah, it’s super common unfortunately. I didn’t know that the Ascents are having similar issues. Subaru is great about the repairs though!
Thanks for sharing. I writing this because my 2022 subaru ascent was leaking oil noticed by subaru dealer technician during oil change at 24000 miles. We had to leave it for a few days, oil pan reseal they said. Here we are at 36000 miles, just had oil change at the dealership on friday, didnt drive it again until two days later on sunday and suddenly its leaking oil again, smoke coming from under the hood from oil dripping. Im waiting to have it towed back to the dealership which is 60 miles away. Didnt feel safe to drive it. This is our first Subaru and first new car in twelve years. Very frustating to say the least. I will update what they find this time..this may be my last subaru. I hate it because its such a smooth riding and great handling car especially on long trips.
Unfortunate to hear that it’s leaking again. Seems like a never ending cycle. Hoping you got it taken care of as planned.
@@ronfromportland turned out to be a faulty oil filter gasket on the oil change, oil got all over the engine they had to keep it three days to get all the oil cleaned off. Im just relieved it wasnt the oil pan leaking again. I really do love my Subaru it's a great handling smooth driving car especially on long drives. Hope you enjoy many trouble free miles with your outback. They gave me a 2024 outback loaner and its a great driving car too.
@@johnhanson3693 very good to know!!! I love mine too 😃
Thanks for the update - any mods planned for the coming year?
No problem, thanks for checking out the video! Just some minor things in the works, I don’t want to go too crazy with this build haha
Are those black filters always going to be in stock now at all Subaru dealers? I thought they had to be ordered from Japan to be honest.
That’s what I was told, at least until the dealers run out of the blue filters.
@@ronfromportland thanks I’m gonna buy some tomorrow probably just to stock up!! Cheers! Glad your OBW is okay
@@AudioHead809 glad to help! If your dealer has a parts site, check that first and see if you can place the order for the black ones.
@@ronfromportlandI might have to go in person because on their site when I put it the right part number it shows a picture of the blue one. Don’t wanna order the wrong thing. I have to go there soon anyways for warranty work on my 17 sti. Rear door speakers are both blown out due to previous owner. The car has the Harman/Kardon system so I couldn’t deal with it honestly haha. But I appreciate all your help and I’ll report back if they have it in stock. Fingers crossed!
Is oil pan leak part of the power train warranty?
If the leak isn’t caused by damage to the oil pan then the leak should be fixed under warranty. In my case, it was leaking due to a defect from the factory so Subaru covered it.
Dope bro. We would like to collab with you on a product review. We have emailed
so why are you at 6100 for oil change u want to kill your motor?
This is the third oil change in 6100 miles
