  • Dak Prescott has been the Quarterback in Dallas since 2016… And 2024 could be his last..
With Dak under center, the team has never had a losing season, with a career record of 73 wins to 41 losses.
But it might be time that the #DallasCowboys move on, and see if they can get their quarterback somewhere else

I totally agree. I believe Dak Prescott is at Best a guy that can get you close but his head totally collapses in big games you can tell by the way he gets so nervous like a DEER, in the headlights look during big games… The game is mental. If you can get the physical part down, it’s the mental part that put you over the hump. I remember a story about Joe Montana, and they were in a big game and they were down and they had two minutes left to go, and Joe was joking about and talking about all the people he was meeting and seeing on the sideline and he was pointing from the huddle look over there that’s John Candy wow that’s John Candy. He was not gonna let the moment take away his fun, and he was relaxed, and he was having fun. Mr. Prescott. Does not have fun in big games it’s all pressure no fun and you can see that clearly.

I can't count how many times I've used deer in the headlights in regards to Dak in big games.. nothing this team does to inprove will be enough with Dak's lack of mental fortitude costing the team games. Sure it's a team effort but I would venture to say that the team is seeing the same thing we are seeing... no confidence in the QB probably affects how well guys are gonna play if their leader is in a full blown melt down...before you know it it looks like the whole team didn't get off the bus.

He is already getting over 20% of the cap. Salaries are out of control. The cap should be on player’s salary, not total team salaries. $10 mil a year is more than enough for any player! That should be the cap for any QB. All other players less than that. There should be a max salary for each position and a minimum.

I honestly believe that it wouldn't matter who the QB is.. if they're getting franchise QB money.. they're hamstringing the TEAM!
The market is absurd in my opinion.. they seriously have to stop the next contract up mentality in the NFL.. and pay these guys accordingly!
If you're the tenth best player at a specific position.. then you get tenth best money!
Or have a salary ladened with performance incentives.. with insurance backing up the players in case of injury!
IDK.. but the Jones do NOT believe that they can win with a QB eating up sooo much money!

Jerry is very skilled at making money. He's not very skilled at managing a limited budget. Since he won't put someone in his place who actually knows how to manage a budget, I would count on more seasons like the one's we have had. Better than average, but not good enough for a deep run.

Just look at Green Bay, here ya go Jordon Love, take the ball and win some games. When on to beat the shit out of two really good team and should have beaten the Niners and it will be awesome to go into the playoffs and beat the Niners, with their guy, who they gave a lot to pick him in the first round. I have seen enough of Dak chocking almost every time he plays against a team with a winning record. Lets build a great offensive line. If we can establish the run and protect the quarterback on passes then an average quarterback can lead the team. We also need to add big mean defensive linemen to give our linebackers the chance to stuff running backs. If the quarterback is pressured then our defensive backs will shine. Dak costs too much. Brady lowered his salary to be surround with greatness, how many Superbowl rings did he earn with that plan?

Good stuff but it gets even worse. You left out if the Cowboys decide to try Lance next year in 2025, it means they would honor Lance's 5th year option, thus costing the Cowboys $23 million alone just for Lance next year. That's not including owing Dak $40 million next year if the Cowboys decide to move on from Dak after this year of 2024. The Cowboys best option is to resign Dak right now to another extension. The longer they wait, the costlier it will be.

The one key ingredient your missing is a coach and his staff knew how to win against the Cowboys. The Cowboys measured
their team vs. the Packers and you had a talented QB and the young team that will win in the future. It was obvious a 1 yr QB
vs. 8 yr QB in talent was very lopsided and the money your paying doesn't equate to Dak's play. Dak should have outpaced Love

They both won The Walter Payton Award (where Trey won it in his only year as a starter)…Trey had 30 TDs with only 1 INT. This is very unrealistic, but he was literally on pace to throw about 90 TDs and 3 INTs in his college career if lasted about 3 years. He has barely played any NFL football and he hasn’t played in an NFL game in over a year so who knows how he plays in a game presently. The guy literally has left behind Shanahan’s QB coaches because they weren’t doing sh*t (remember, Kyle or his father have never developed a QB) and then hired Mahomes QB coach, Jeff Christiansen, since he last played an NFL game. Why don’t we see how he actually plays before assuming what he can or can’t be.

Dak has recently benefited from one of the top scoring and TO defenses in the league until late last year and a bad division outside of Philly for just as long. And outside of playing well against an 8-9 Tampa Bay team who shouldn’t even have been in the playoffs, he’s been mediocre to awful in the last three playoff games, especially in the first half where slow starts have been a real problem for him. It’s time to move on, either with Lance or with a QB they draft. There may be some growing pains, but we’ve seen enough of Dak at least in a Cowboys uniform to know that he’s just not mentally it.

Jerry ain't getting any younger, he needs another ring, the best option is to extend Dak. I think that same blog talked about doing a "Legacy contract" so he retires a Cowboy at the end of his career which I think is smarter.
Jerry and Stephen are the problem, they don't know wtf they're doing and how to run a team because they won't bring in a GM. Last season was showing how close we got, then they botched the trade deadline and botched this offseason with signings when all they needed were a couple pieces to be a Superbowl contender.
Biggest mistake of all was not extending Dak and restructure others to sign other players to fill the gaps of what the team needs. If I had to bet, they'll pull a bonehead move and let him play out this season and bank on Lance who's nowhere near a starter. The front office is the problem.

Dak is a talented, but not elite quarterback with an elite receiver in Cee Dee.. When watching Dak, I'm always nervous. Sometimes he has a deer in the headlights demeanor to him. I like the idea of Trey Lance as the future for Dallas, He's young, and was a #1 draft pick who SF never really tried to develop. I think Lance could take them to the promised land, but we'll see.

Just let dak play it out, then he will play alot better because he will be needing another team that want him. Which will be like Elliot hoping to get on a team. Dak will be the same next year. Just let him play out the year. But u gotta win a superbowl dak for another team to want you for 55mil.

I think bad team management is operating out of fear of the unknown and not taking chances. @Doublemove so your saying you would rather have a Kirk cousins and Vikings situation because your SCARED!? Nah I’m good on that I’d rather miss the playoffs for the next 5 years trying to find the next Troy aikman than keep dak and KNOW we might win 10 games every year and not get past the 1st round. In order to succeed at anything u have to be willing to take risks

No it’s not all Daks fault we need other help but Daks contract isn’t allowing us to be able to sign other players and although I just said it’s not all his fault if you look back over the history of the NFL if your QB hasn’t at least got you to a championship game in 8 years he’s not going to later either there comes a time where you have to let go , I mean if all you want are winning regular season games keep him but if you want a super bowl you have to move on

Start Trey Lance in 2024 and sit Dak out. Play hardball and let his skills deteriorate unless he agrees to a trade. Get rid of him asap. He can’t get you to the Superbowl. That is obvious. Don’t look back on your decision.

I can’t have a quarterback, missing his routine passes when he’s under pressure. There have been so many quarterbacks that have gone to the Super Bowl and won with much less than what Dak Prescott has had his whole career. Great quarterbacks do a lot with a little Dak hasn’t done shit with a lot, he is slightly better than Luke warm I will gladly take the losses with hopes of a Super Bowl, but to be stuck in thisdak vortex, Groundhog Day, same shit different season we all need to be done with this nightmare .

Trey Lance will not be our QB in 2025 because we're not picking up his 5th year option at $25M. The only way Lance is our QB is if he (1) lights it up somehow this off season and pre-season, and then (2) somehow agrees to a contract less than his 5th year option (why would he do that?).

Letting Dak walk is the worst scenario for many reasons.
1.) You get nothing for him. If you would’ve traded him you would at least gotten 2 #1. Look what the Broncos gave up for Russ.
2.) Dak is a top 10 QB. So they are banking on Lance being able to be a top 10 QB. Which is odd, because he wasn’t even a top 10 QB in the NFC West. And that’s with Kyle Shanahan.
3.) We are closer to winning the Super Bowl with Dak on the roster. Get him a running game, and stop putting safeties a LB.

  • @peterhunt6480
    @peterhunt6480 Месяц назад

Try to trade Dak right now. If that can’t happen, cut him after the June cutoff to spread the deadline money hit. Start Trey Lance this year. If he hits, you’re good. If he flops, you’ll have a pretty good to great draft position. At this point, I will give up 2 to 3 years to rebuild.

Must NOT sign or keep Dak. Any other option is better in this situation. Only, and I mean ONLY, if he takes 5yr contract that is less then what he had. To me, Dak owes us fans a big refund. So 35M a year, 5yr, mostly guaranteed I believe is fair for both sides.
