- Welcome to Noro's Halloween Special 2019! We're going up against seven allied Castle AIs as Necropolis with starting hero Galthran, the skeleton specialist. Necromancy is an extremely powerful secondary skill on maps like this and Galthran is uniquely good at taking advantage of it.

Necro has such a unique play style.
1.Necromancy skill with artifact to boost it
2.Death ripple and Animate dead spell
3.The only castle without low tier archer option
4.Almost two-headed dwellings(Dread knight might be the best T6 in the game)
It may not be the best option in high resource map, but there's a lot of potential to find out.
Vampire Lords and Death Knights are both the best units in the game from their respective tiers, but at the cost of Ghost Dragons which in my opinion, except their special skill, are a pure garbage.

Yes and no.
The aging effect is extremely broken against larger stacks since it cuts half the helth away and it almost equal to give you double dmg output on the aged stacks(magic included).
So it's not garbage, it's situational.

And the reason of being squishy is because the animate dead spell.
Any more atk/def will be too op.
@@user-dy6zy2gq3j It is garbage if we consider chances for this skill. Officially its something about 20%, but in reality it activates far less often than Gorgon gaze (f*a*r*t) or Wyvern toxin.
Animate dead spell can be a reason for dragons weakness, yes, but not quite valid, because its the same as with Resurrection targeting Archangels or Titans, which is totally allowed. In my opinion the reason is as I stated before, both Vampire Lords and Death Knights, which already are making a strong lineup even without the dragons.

That's because EACH gorgon will proc the gaze effect or not, but the aging dosen't seems to be affected by the scale of the stack.
It's always the same probability no matter you use 1stack or a bunch.
So the best way to use it is to 1stack them and TRY to proc aging on enemy's main stack and take out the retaliations and let the dread and lord do the fatal blow.
I'm gonna stand my point that it's situational. BTW resurrection is completely diffeent from animate dead because you don't need earth magic to revive the undead completely, and the chance of necro find anime on 3rd is greater than else getting resurrection on 4th (and also you can choose Thant to completely ignore the odd, but you need at least LV3 on the resurrection hero like Jeddie, and still you have to be lucky to learn advence earth magic early.)

my buddies hated when i played him :) master Necromancy as fast as you can. back up in spell points. kill it all. raise as skells. bonus to skells. heal skellies... Onward Christian Soldiers Marching Out to War.
first time I did it I ran from them killed all the map spawns. kept running away then crushed a smaller faction. chased all his champions down raised em as skellies. marched to the next and piece by piece took down every one. my other champions where just recruiters and home defense.

a thing people so rarely give credit for is to how human-like and functional a 1999 AI is able to generate massive random maps. i love your homm3 plays, hope you will play it more!

7 free for all castle AI's is a bigger challenge than 7 castle AI's that are all on the same team. That way you can get gargantuan unit stacks coming at you later in the game.

They need to make a mod that allows only allied faction heroes. I just don’t see Sando allying with castle, fortress, etc.

Hmmm... I slightly disagree with your decision at the end of week one... you have Shakti already, buy the goddamn estate so you can get a few more vampires and then the NEXT day do the skeleton transformer... that forward hero can pick up a couple of smaller fights until the skeletons arrive just a day later

Why medium-sized map? It seems more difficult than xl maps for 1vs 7
Very interesting 12 series and experience.. Just reinstalled it on Steam.. and was surprised how I couldn't make randomly created Map and there is no Conflux town.
What HOMM 3 version are You playing?
Edit: I've also noticed alot of great features this version has. Such as distribution of units from little menu

You got the Ubisoft "remaster" of the game that is missing all the expansion content and does not work with the HD mod.
Please!! How do u split the stacks so easily? I biught the complete version of the game, but the hud is a bit different... spliting the stacks is my hardest problem, since i need to choose 1 unit each time I split.
Can someone help me?

Sorry for the dumb question, but which exact version of Might of Magic is this? Because I have Heroes III complete, but it's not the same as this one.

how come my game doesnt have autoresolve and how are you splitting your soldiers so fast???? i love the series :D

Shadow of Death is the height of Necromancy bullshit. It's the expansion that introduced the Cloak of the Balanced King.
The only true necromancy nerf is in HOTA tbh.

I'm bad at this game. I have only recently started playing it though. I can't bat anything on normal difficulty. Lol I have to stick to easy. But then I still struggle.

Bless doesn't but Prayer does. Bless is considered a "mind effect" which is why it doesn't work.
