Choosing an axle with offset pumkin on front is always good for clearing rocks a little better as it's closer to wheel therefore rising a bit higher when getting it up over compared to a centred pumpkin. Usually allows you to slot the motor a little further forward while keeping it low. You're putting out great videos, I'm sure you're helping a lot of folks understand the hyped up world of belly draggers. Cheers mate 👍
Just found this video and I subscribed as it was very informative. I'm looking into building my first lcg chassis and can't wait. Unfortunately being a single father and having a rare medical condition my budget isn't very high so I'm stuck using those cheap chinese crawler parts for the scx10,trx4,etc. on ebay, lol. But I'm still looking forward to the build and glad to find this channel as it was very helpful in understanding. Thanx 😎 👍
Thanks again! I did enjoy the video, very helpful! There are a plethora of options and so many different variations will get the results people are looking for if they have an open mind. That’s why I love your content. Performance focus for a lot of crawler folks 👍
Plastic housings are under rated. They slide over rocks better than aluminum. No doubt the scale appearance and durability of the VP SS or treal as I have seen though. I like the ar44 and look forward to the continued development of the ar45
Love my AR60 monster thing is a straight beast . I used the carbon steel frame and have a mamba and 3500 puller pro in it thing is just nasty and hella strong with that steel frame .. To The Top.
I looked for aluminum axles for my Element for a long time and couldn't find any. However I did find Beeftubes which are Factory Grey or black housings with brass sleeves pressed into both sides of the tube. 57$ per axle and they have done great so far, love the weight gain. I plan to get a set of the Vanquish when I can afford to do so, I like the way the Rock jock housing looks. Just not sure how much fab is involved in fitting them on an Element. So far though I'm super happy with the Beeftubes.
Yea beef tubes are the only options for element axles really. And 10.2 rock jocks won’t take much to fit. The element axle links are near identical to 10.2. So only links you might have to work a bit with are panhard and drag
@@TRDAdventures that's not bad, I run a 4-link front with SOA so that should make it even easier. But the Beeftubes are holding up great even with the 3300kv Axe system that powers it, I may just go with another set of those till someone comes out with a direct-fit aluminum replacement. Honestly, I figured they'd be available before now. But I'd recommend Beeftubes to anyone.
I was hoping to see axle shafts comparison - different joints for cva part. Strength, steering angle, wear resistance, swappability. Can't find info on that anywhere.
Thankyou very much again for helping out the new guys. A friend is hooking me up with a gspeed v3 C10 chassis, so I am starting a build soon and was confused by the axle choices, the ar 44 conversion kit seems like a good deal with the included gears etc. Would you recommend the included shocks or should I go with the 90mm desert lizards I have on hand.
I know this is an older video of yours. But I’m having issues with my element axle and wanting to go to the new f10 straight axle. Do you have any size comparison between that and the element axle? I would very much appreciate it.
@@blowback8852 correct Capra is wider. Narrower axles like the Ar45 will have tighter overall turning, wider like Capra can help with stability like on a side hill. Also depends if you’re jus making all over fun truck or looking to comp and class could come into play as well.
i want to build me one i am in this nursing home i have a few crawlers but i want to build me one i need a chassis an cant get one from here an i need some portal axles the wide ones but i dont know how to get them i got hurt about 3 years ago an i am crippled from waist down but i still get out an crawle i want one them chassis an wide portals can you help me find some if you got some exterwide portals or a bent chassis send them to me you know something you not useing to help me build me a belly dragger you all call them that would be a dream come true thanks for the great videos keep them comeing thanks my friend heritage hall 2966 slate creek rd grundy va 24614 thank you

Well put, man🤘
Love your videos Tim! You are doing a lot for the new comers like me in the LCG realm. I appreciate all the info and keep up the good work.
Thank you, much appreciated
When it comes to gspeed this dude has the best advice! Just ordered my chassis yesterday! Coming off of a scattergun build so this should be fun

I agree, I prefer plastic myself.

Awesome!!! Learning about rc crawler building and you are the main source I go to. 🔥🚀
Does everyone use a scx10 ii skid and trans? Will that work with ar60s?
Thank you for this video. Excellent job laying this out.
Nice bro..thank for the video..it will help me to choose the best axle for my rig

I would recommend 90mm shocks, or you can mod and limit the shocks that come with it, they are just too tall for my taste
What up nice and informative
Great insight, thank you!
Great vid buddy! 👍
@TRD Adventures do you ever shave the bump stops on supershafty cp44
great info and video
Well said Tim
Thanks bro
Another great video
Great info thanks

Stock AR44 are good and cheap, cheaper than getting a donor rig.
Definitely
Hey Tim quick question please. I know you have the clear boom racing wheels. Any idea if they will take beef patties on them please?
I think the clear only come in 5 lug, so not sure if that pattern is the same as the ones beef tubes offers.
Ar45 portal or capra?
Looking for durability and turning radius.
Thanks
Both options are very similar the choice here is width, do you want a narrow track with it wide.
@@TRDAdventures the capra is wider correct?
But what is the advantages and disadvantages, if any, of wider track width over narrower?

Do u know of any underdrive options portal gear options for Capra axles ?
Underdrive nope.
hey brother,just subbed great video....
Are there any after market parts for the ar45 straight axles yet🤷🏼♂️
Little but becoming a popular axle fast, some have said they’ve gotten 10.2 knuckles to fit. I haven’t tried yet
@@TRDAdventures i know what I’m doing today lol
Let me know if they do, I’ll order some and try as well

Wat skid could I use for keeping my capra transmission with v3 gspeed rails. I or do I have to got to ax10 trans and skid
There a few custom ones out there for Capra trans to scx rails. I ditched the Capra trans when I did mine
Does anyone run redcat portals?
I’ve seen it but not many do.
Pepsi blue?? 🤔
Yup it’s back here in the states
