- Is it possible to beat a Hardcore Nuzlocke using only Pokemon species with names beginning with the letter G? Watch this video to find out!

The Hardcore Nuzlocke rules for this challenge:
1. Only catch the first Pokemon on each route, as long as the species name begins with "G" or evolves into one starting with "G". Re-roll on non-"G" and duplicates.
2. If a Pokemon faints, it must be released.
3. No overleveling above the gym leader's highest level.
4. No items in battle.
5. Play on Set Mode.

Ff: in germany treecko is called geckarbor, grovile is reptain and sceptile is gewaldro which means if you played in german, you could have evolved it in sceptile

just to name two; there are also some pokemon becoming unavailable by using german names, like Entoron (golduck) for example. It´s actually surprising how many pokemon names start with g in english and german
that makes sense cause germany starts with a g

Also, if you didn't ban it, you could have actually gone to route 111 and used dexnav to add a Gible to get a Garchomp for the team, since natdex gets unlocked after you beat groudon

I feel like the elite 4 would be more interesting if you used rare candies after each fight and only leveled up to the ace of the next elite. Otherwise you're just overleveled for the entire elite four and kinda overleveled for the champ.
8:07 You made a big mistake here man, Dragon Rage was capable of taking Torkoal out, if you have did that, neither Goldeen or Grovyle would be killed

I was referring to the player actually beating Wallace in Emerald and becoming the Champion, making Wallace the “ex Champion”. But then we get into “Does Emerald exist in the ORAS timeline” rabbit hole…

Damn this must be hard. Anyways, great video! This video gave me memories of me clearing this game. My team was Blaziken, Gardevoir, Latios, Gyarados, Groudon and Metagross.
Nice video, btw for future runs the way speed is calculated was changed in gen8 to include speed changes that happened during the turn (tailwind, bulldoze…) so when megas are brought back the mechanic that made metagross slower won’t work.

Found this channel recently and I'm going through all the videos loving the content (And I've never been a Nuzlocke fan!) but the pokemon u have used like Graveler here and Electibuzz in the past, isn't there a way to evolve them through trade on emulation? Would love to see final evolutions in the future. Keep up the good work man!

Fun fact- In ORAS, if you delay Treecko's evolution until level 21, you learn Giga Drain, which Grovyle and Sceptile don't learn by level up

Megas keeping their original speed for a turn was changed in Gen 7. Now, they immediately change to their new speed stat
When i was playing ORAS ,i didnt plan it to be a solo run , but gyarados decimated the whole game on solo !
Should’ve used the dexmav encounters to get gardbodar, gothitelle and more. Also mirage islands may have g Pokémon as well so yeah you could’ve got more Pokémon

As with Braixen, Wartortle, and Dewott, Grovyle is cooler looking than its final evolution anyway.
