Hi Lara, Thats indeed Rick Springfield. She mention in Howard Stern that she did not fooled around with him but she met him and fooled around with some of his band mates.

So funny that a local news channel, decides to interview the "Queen of Deep Throat". She was certainly a 'generous" lady. Time has not been kind, she used to be a hottie. Dickie Betts claims that he was the one who "taught her how".

One of the oldest 64 year olds ( in this video) I’ve ever seen. Now you can knock me all you want, but tell me it’s not the truth. Surely she was sick in some way then, which was two years before she died. More power to her-she lived life HER way, which is much more than most of us can say. She will always be a part of helping me remember the Summer of 73 just before I started high school.
She was very sick at this point in her life. She ended up with liver and kidney disease she was a fair drinker and lord did she love her weed. The years of constant partying were not kind to her but she had a fabulous life and was happy. And in the end that’s all that really matters right? RIP sweet Connie We miss you-The Wardrobe Mistress’s
Guess she had a rough go when she heard Eddie Van Halen died. If he was her favorite, where was Valerie Bertinelli? She was certainly attractive when she was young. The presenters made her becoming a teacher sound like it was a disappointing life choice. I saw a lot of concerts...the small pile of backstage passes I have, some I got because I worked for a concert promotion company as an intern when I was in college. Doing my task of bringing snacks and drinks to the dressing room, you've never been told to F*ck Off until you've been told by John Waite (at a Babys show). It was hysterical; just doing my job, dude. The Babys stole or broke everything in the dressing room. Yeah, that's rock 'n' roll. Sorry, John, for whatever it was you were pissed at, I still like your music. You were good when I saw your show a few years ago in Kentucky.
I'm thinking they may have changed one word to make this acceptable for general radio audiences. "Show"="Band." Well, it's one way to live. Once she was over 18, unless one could prove prostitution or the Mann Act or whatever, it wasn't against the law, and it appears she was able to make a decent living in her private life. (Anyone who's had to put up with substitute teachers knows when a good one shows up.) There are plenty of "virtuous" or at least innocuous women who have ended up with hard lives and died fairly young, so it's luck of the draw in some cases. I can't see putting oneself to a lot of unnecessary trouble and relationships, but if that was her ambition, so be it. Pity, though, that she couldn't make it to the 80s or whatever. My nurse/ nurses' aide friends always used to say that ladies with a "Past" were often the most enjoyable and interesting to care for, with the best stories.
Was she drunk during the interview? I like the photo of her in the broken frame holding a beer can.. Her book should be called "Used and Abused- My life on my knees"

Did she actually admire any musician at all ,just seems she wanted to make a name for herself thru the lowest means possible.
Pun intended?
Considering there are people who murder others to make a name for themselves, I dare say being good in bed isn't "the lowest means possible" Not sure why there are so many slut-shaming people on here when this video is about a groupie. Why even watch it?
To the commenter who said, "I guess ears keep growing.". That is what the rockers held onto.
Rock and Roll will never die.
I love this!😊
Funny how so many people are trashing her here in the comments but what about the guys??? Those dudes threw to anybody who was catching in those days, including underage girls. Why is nobody trashing THEM? Connie was having the time of her life doing exactly what she wanted to do... just like the guys. Why should she be shamed for it and not them? Personally I'd love to sit with her and hear her stories.
You're so right. Isn't it amazing how our culture still looks down on the woman and celebrates the man?
Yeah the old men are studs women are sluts smh
It's a man's world!! They get to dictate how women behave, and if we don't conform to their rules on sexuality, we're whores. Nothing like the good old double standard.

She knew how to rock! R.I.P. Aug. 21, 2021
She died?!? Man, that blows big-time. :-(
I remember seeing Connie interviewed by MTV in the late 80’s. It may have been early 90’s but I’m gonna say late 80’s. I remember her and she was a school teacher at the time if I remember correctly. But just noticed from online search she passed away August 21, 2021. RIP CONNIE. rock with the angels.
I watched her old interview she slept with hundreds of rock stars, security guys, stage guys and anyone just to get to backstage she lived her life her way.good for her 😂
Man it;s great to see her here in a recent interview. I always thought she was maybe 20 years older than me but it turns out we are only 9 years apart. I gotta ask Jim Dandy about her next time I see him. We both live in Memphis and I see him pretty often, even jam with them at practice sometimes on Wednesday nights (before the pandemic). I've known Dandy about 37 years now and I always bring up Ruby Starr when we're partying and burning one. Rock on Sweets!
@RockNRoller Jim Dandy to the rescue!!! Still remember that song. Glad he’s still alive and playing music. Would love to hear his stories about Connie.
MAY SWEET SWEET CONNIE FLY HIGH WITH THE ROCK N ROLL ANGELS UP ABOVE !!+!! IM SURE SHE HAS THE WHOLE SHOW...AND THATS A NATURAL FACT !!+!!
@2:26 "..and then one thing would lead to another." I'm guessing what she means is that after 'wandering" around the backstage area, they got hungry and left to get a soda and some fries at the concession stand.
SAD NEWS....CONNIE HAMZY, " AKA SWEET SWEET CONNIE" died today 8/22/2021 in Little Rock, Arkansas at age 66 years old. So Long Connie, I'm sure you've located the rock groups in heaven.
I love that song & crank up the volume every time it comes on the radio. Thank you, now I can put a face to that line in the song, I always wondered. She was a beautiful young lady back in the day, just wish I could have met her.
One thing for sure, she's got a pretty valuable collection with all the rock & roll memorabilia, back-stage passes, autographs & who knows what else. Good for you Connie, cheers!
that's 20 miles of bad road.
Good for you Sweet Sweet Connie! Lived a charmed life.
I just saw her on Geraldo 1991 episode, she was 36, and pleasuring her way through bands who visited Little Rock. She was a legend.

Beautiful back in the day! Rest in peace! Is that Rick Springfield at 1:50?
Hi Lara, Thats indeed Rick Springfield. She mention in Howard Stern that she did not fooled around with him but she met him and fooled around with some of his band mates.

Why are people praising her. She gave her body to so many people... who would want that.
Good for her. She had fun. I'm thinking probably more fun than you've ever had. As long as she doesn't feel bad about herself, then who are you to judge her? Did it affect you? Did it hurt you in any way? I'm thinking not, so why do you care? Why don't you just stop worrying about what other people do and concentrate on making yourself a better human being. I'm thinking the first step for you should be stop worrying about how other people live their lives.

" Sweet sweet Connie was doing her act, she had the whole show and that's a natural fact." American Band!!
In other words, she did the whole band, and it was an entertaining spectacle.
Read an interview with her years ago and she talked about how Huey Lewis was the "largest" of the larger than life personas she met.
I hear she had a bet with (loose) lois Griffen, reminds me of a joke, what did Cinderlla say when she got to the ball? ...aggga grr aaah uuuuggu
Huey Lewis was famously proud of his "manhood". There was a movie in late 80s or early 90s he is in and his character was filmed taking a piss.
That's "news" to me.
She was on one show, maybe Geraldo, and said Huey was "Bigger than life". 😄
I'm not sure which interview it was, but it was about 20-25 years ago I think where she named Huey the biggest, Frampton the smallest, David Lee Roth the biggest disappointment, and Don Henley the best.
Seen a many concert in that coliseum! Good times !
Cool story and cool life!
First concert was Steppenwolf!!! I'm sure she was in mind when they wrote "Hey, Lawdy Mama".
Needs to be a movie about her life
Agreed..
I thought I remembered her name from a Led Zeppelin lyric. Looked it up just now, Southbound Suarez:
"And a little bit of sweet con-carne"
Just close enough to make me wonder if that's about her. The meat related nickname makes a certain kind of sense.
She's lived more in 65 years than most people would in a couple lifetimes.
I like that she got a college degree to be taken seriously and not just a Flake, that she had a Brain and Lived her life by her own Rules. True to her self & owned her own home too! What she did with her life was no one's business but her OWN. Rest easy Sweet Connie.

Guess she had a rough go when she heard Eddie Van Halen died. If he was her favorite, where was Valerie Bertinelli? She was certainly attractive when she was young. The presenters made her becoming a teacher sound like it was a disappointing life choice. I saw a lot of concerts...the small pile of backstage passes I have, some I got because I worked for a concert promotion company as an intern when I was in college. Doing my task of bringing snacks and drinks to the dressing room, you've never been told to F*ck Off until you've been told by John Waite (at a Babys show).
