So what a night! True 60's experience and ecstacy. The moon landing that very night, a Zep gig, up close and personal with them in the dressing room before the show (what a bunch too!), and that night a huge storm raged thunder, lightning, and unholy wind. Blew this tent till I thought it was coming down. And my GF wishing she could be one of Zep's women! I don't know if she really heard the concert. It was a totally awesome night!

The music of that whole era has got to be some of the best ever - incredible the number of really good bands, musicians, the great inspiration of the times, and so many last-forever type songs. The gorgeous long hair guys - oh my. On a summer afternoon in some park, shirts off ... Oh yes, I'd go back for day! A week! A year! I wish! I think it takes a long time to really begin to know oneself, what you really like and want. I'd like to make some new choices and do some new things!

She was enamored with the stories told by another model, Sable Star who’d already been part of the scene. So she was all too happy to start going to the different dance joints. There were a lot of underage venues on the strip back then. Her agent told her to go and Jimmy saw her and dumped his GF, Pamela Des Barres there and then. Pam tells the story herself. Jimmy told her to go outside & wait for he limo. She does. He walks out with Lori on his arm & leaves her on the curb. They go to another venue (Pam catches up). Jimmy leaves that venue early. His manager escorts Lori to the limo (the “kidnapping”) & the next thing she knows she’s in a hotel room with Jimmy. Of course, when he’s done with her, a similar thing happens, but uglier. She goes back to their hotel room and he’s banging Bebe Buell. He says nothing to her at all and didn’t after that. He was just done with her. Bebe Buell confirms this. She was a model who was an older friend to Lori before hooking up with Page. She saw the damage it did to Lori, especially after Lori took Quaaludes and had a pretty bad meltdown. 16 year old Cameron Crowe became good friends with Bebe during that time, especially after she hooked up with Todd Rundgren. He named one of the characters in “Almost Famous” after her first name (Bebe) and used the Quaalude story about Lori in the climax when Kate Hudson’s character overdosed and has to have her stomach pumped (Lori didn’t OD, though.).

It's weird how on the one hand there are shows like To Catch a Predator, where they purposely trap some guy who's after underage sex, humiliate the person on TV, arrest him, sometimes send him to jail, and basically screw the person's life over for sex that was never even had. The moon landing that very night, a Zep gig, up close and personal with them in the dressing room before the show (what a bunch too!), and that night a huge storm raged thunder, lightning, and unholy wind. Blew this tent till I thought it was coming down. And my GF wishing she could be one of Zep's women! I don't know if she really heard the concert. It was a totally awesome night!

They go to another venue (Pam catches up). Jimmy leaves that venue early. His manager escorts Lori to the limo (the “kidnapping”) & the next thing she knows she’s in a hotel room with Jimmy.
Of course, when he’s done with her, a similar thing happens, but uglier. She goes back to their hotel room and he’s banging Bebe Buell. He says nothing to her at all and didn’t after that. He was just done with her.
Bebe Buell confirms this. She was a model who was an older friend to Lori before hooking up with Page. She saw the damage it did to Lori, especially after Lori took Quaaludes and had a pretty bad meltdown.
16 year old Cameron Crowe became good friends with Bebe during that time, especially after she hooked up with Todd Rundgren.
