Honestly, Jericho and Grant were treated better by Slade in the comics. Original run of the Judith contract ( Jericho was the Judas for Wilson's family ( kind and heroics bidding on sins of the Father )
and Tara was the Judas for the Titans.
Oh and Tara was just a psychopath who actively wanted the Titans destroyed. Comics are weird.

I think they imply that the dust Slade had in his mask was fear toxin from Scarecrow, which honestly explains a lot on how Robin interacted with everything.

@@racingflash6292 that is actually incorrect. None of the Titans ever went to the school where she was. Plus she can be seen talking with two other students. And there's also BB's fight with Slade and how he acknowledges that she's back but says he didn't do anything. And have you forgotten that her body was missing from where she was turned into stone? She's back but she just wants to be a normal kid.
@@wyattchandler6359 When they decided to bring heavy gaslighting and psychology manipulation and gas hallucinations it's not easy to tell reality from illusion who knows maybe Terra is living a normal life or slade took her statue and poisoned BB it's not like he cannot do it at anytime he feels like doing it.
@@racingflash6292 again she is literally seen talking with other students. Plus there was no prior event in the show where he could have been poisoned. Robin was infected with the dust in Slade's mask. No similar event has occurred. The scene with Slade and Beast Boy was one of the few where he's being genuinely truthful. There are even comics that take place after this episode where Beast Boy meets Terra's brother who says that it's best to leave her be and let her be happy as it's what she wants, no more fighting. Look up these comics and you'll see. They wouldn't do all that if she was a hallucination.

From the OG comics, Slades reason for going after the Titans so much is because his son Grant [who didnt know his dad was Deathstroke at the time] Was in HIVE and wound up coming to blows with the Teen Titans. He got mad at being defeated, so wound up, through HIVE, going through the same super soldier experiment Deathstroke [his dad] did to gain such super strength speed and all that.
Unfortunatly he wasnt as succesful with it as his dad and it sapped his life force for using it. He literally killed himself fighting the Titans and died in his dads arms. Thus Slade's vendetta against the Teen Titans.

He was a normal kid at first born to Slade Wilson, a loving father military veteran and a businessman and Adeline kane former military officer retired
He along with his brother was raised in a loving household.
However, everything changed when a group of mercenaries wanted to get revenge on his father ( Jericho, Adeline and Grant did not know about his father being a fucking mercenary) they were willing to pay Adeline was willing to pay the marks off.
But he didn't because Slade was a prideful arrogant fool.
One thing led to another and in a scuffle the mercenary had Joey with a knife to his throat . Deathstroke. Had a gun to that man's head
He shot the bastard, but Joey was hurt. His throat was slit! Severing the vocal cords irreparably.
Adeline was pissed that her husband lied to her and took revenge on her own accords
Walking up behind him and shooting him in the back of the head.( He was aware of the gun) yet did not make it in time

So she settled for divorce also took the kids
Jericho is important because he is the "Judas of the Wilson family"

You know he’s messing with Robin for the fun of it. It’s Batman’s Side Kick who left on his own to prove himself, how could Slade resist? From day 1 of the show Slade has his attention square on Robin, with the intent to make him his apprentice. It’s Robin the guy doesn’t have anything real special going on, he’s literally just a kid who got trained by Batman. He wanted to mess with this boy for the laughs.

So a fun theory someone told me awhile ago:
When Robin is gettin whooped by Slade, that isn't trauma. That's actually Slade. Because at any point after he died, he could've interacted with Trigon and become an ACTUAL demon that decided to haunt Robin.
I could imagine the conversation going like this:
Trigon: I want you to be my servant.
Slade: I am no one's servant.
Trigon: I'll let you haunt Robin and whoop his ass one more time as a down payment.
Slade: ...
Trigon: ...
Slade: ... You had my attention. You now have my Curiousity.
Well I mean in the video, you clearly see trigon interacting with the nigga so yk. Not really a theory if it’s in the show XD
I had actually thought that Slade was using some kind of active camouflage to torment Robin after his supposed death. So, it is possible.

One time the Justice League had a meeting to re-classify supervillain threat levels. Batman suggested moving Deathstroke from national to continental. Superman and the rest of the league voted to bump him down to street level. The next time Deathstroke showed up he soloed the whole league, beat everyone's ass and critically injured Superman. Instead of killing Superman, he suggested the league re-think their classification. Deathstroke was spying on the league for another assignment he had but felt some kind of way. Deathstroke is a menace.

Well though it's not specified in the show. In the comics the reason Slade was so obsessed with the Teens Titans was because he blamed them for the death his son. When his son died he was hell bent on destroying the teen titans at all cost. I believe that was the reason he also wanted a apprentice so bad was because he was trying to replace his son.
I say it's because his wife took the kids.

Slade is one of those anime/cartoon villains who lives inside the main protagonist head rent free and they got a problem with the protagonist being happy for 0.01 seconds. (Ahem) Sephiroth with Cloud for example
5:40 From what I remember in the original comics (Idk if its the og issues or a new backstory) but the reason why slade originally starts attacking the titans is because his son joined the teen titans and died. So he basically thinks they either left him for dead or didn't protect him or something. But thats probably one of few versions.

We’ll Deathstroke is one of Batman’s biggest rivals, I imagine in the beginning he specifically targeted Robin to get one over on Batman. Then after he failed, he stuck around to get revenge on the Titans. That’s my head cannon anyway

I don’t remember Slade ever touching up on that but maybe it was just implied given that he never really went ALL OUT against the titans in fights and still beat them. Plus his lack of care of messing w Robin cause he knows that if Batman steps in, he’ll spin his block too

@@anarchomando7707 At this point in the TV show/this continuity, Slade had died and was resurrected as an undead by Trigon, Raven's father. He had basically become a zombie with fire manipulation abilities. As far as the "DC's evil Captain America" thing goes, this show never states at any point before his death that Slade had any powers whatsoever. In fact it's unlikely he actually did have powers, or at least if he did then they worked different than the ones his comic book counterpart had since comic book Deathstroke had healing powers, but Slade in this show died from falling rocks.

Honestly your explanation was way easier than mine, because after I started reading comics as a kid, I thought the reason Slade used to harass the Titans was because the show writers couldn't tell the "child audience" that Slade still thinks that they were responsible for killing his son Grant. Slade's methods were rigorous and impersonal, constantly belittling Grant for not living up to his high standards. Slade explained the concept of an "Achilles' heel" to Grant. Eventually, Grant ran away during his teenage years to escape his parental instability.
Grant was hired by HIVE to take out the TEEN TITANS during an early lineup. Seeking to emulate his hero, Deathstroke (not knowing Deathstroke to be his own father), he allowed H.I.V.E. to give him extensive genetic enhancements. He took the name RAVAGER and provoked a fight with the Titans. However, the genetic modifications H.I.V.E. made on him led to his heart giving out during the battle, years later, when the collective memory of the Teen Titans was erased from the world in the aftermath of a battle with mister twister, Slade would forget how his son died.

1st Red X - Dick Grayson (1st Robin/Nightwing)
2nd Red X - Unknown (the one that took the suit from Robin/Nightwing but is also the mentor of the 4th Red X. Also Glenn Murakami the creator said he'll never reveal the identity of this specific one)
3rd Red X - Unknown (either hasn't been created yet as a character or already is but kept secret until the 1st reveal)
4th Red X - Brick Pettirosso (gets killed by his mentor the 2nd Red X. Has actual powers, a Metahuman. He's a literal walking EMP)

Slade is a true definition of a menace and I love the teen titans 03’ version of him because he accomplished so much as a damn human. He’s cunning, manipulative, intelligent, and down right diabolical. Like the man tormented these kids and enjoy it. He’s like the boogeyman or that guy at night in a dark alley. The From the grave section of this video is hilarious and absolute savage. Just proves that Slade is menace to society and is a demon. I love the teen titans 03’ that’s my childhood show. For the longest time during the show when it was running as my morning cartoons......i thought slade was batman in disguise and he was simply providing a test on Robin and the Teen titans. He saves them sometimes just to "Beat them more" but it always felt like he was just testing them even when he and robin fought he commented on it like a person teaching someone to fight would in a spar or something. (I never watched all of it. i need to just so i can know but i just always felt this fit and would work for why it wasn't deathstroke and why we never see his face.
Never thought about it like that but that could be an awesome AU of the original story maybe with Batman being affected by some sort of mind altering item that changed him into a villain but his will forced the item to make it so he wouldn't kill the Teen Titans and instead become obsessed with tormenting them until they could defeat him

It would cost money (or theft) and it being a batman test would explain both the likely expensive tech and the absence of the other heros

The episode where Slade was haunting Robin was my introduction to psychological horror. When I think of dark episodes of kid shows this episode is one of them.

In the comics even Batman can't beat him solo, Deathstroke is waiting for somebody to take out a contract on Superman just so he can test his skills. Yet nobody wants to pay him for that.

First: I’m sad that TT never got into Slade’s son more even though they showed him. And I’m also sad that they didn’t show his daughter. I didn’t read the comics until I was older and already watched the show. And do you know how SHOCKED I was to find out Slade had not 1 but 2 kids!
Second: The thing that I like about Tee Titans and Slade, is that he’s *the* main antagonist for the Team. It’s like this:
(Super)Hero shows, comics, etc. have main a villain, arch nemesisses, and final boss villains. And it’s these guys together that makes whatever team great.
The main villain is someone who can only be defeated by the *whole* team working together (besides the first encounter). A good example of this is Shredder from TMNT. And Slade executes this BRILLIANTLY!
The nemesis is a personal arch or opposite of whatever hero is on the team. They have some historic or freshly made beef with them specifically that ties them together to the point where “it’s on sight. A good example of this is Wolverine and Sabertooth. Slade is the leader’s nemesis, *and* their main villain! Not everyone can pull that off, and it illustrates his threat.
And the final Boss is a world ending (or really great threat) that tasks the heroes to not only work together but go *beyond* their limits to win. A good example of this is the FF and Galactus. For them it’s Trigon, but still.
Also, I hate that everyone keeps saying “oh he’s beating up teens” Yeah, SUPER TEENS! Not to mention Robin was trained by Batman, who the h-l wouldn’t want to try and have him as a successor? I mean they’re the god d-n Teen *Titans* not the pre-K bubble blowers, *put some respect on their name* ! If the bad guys don’t take them seriously then they will fail pure and simple. Also: Evil doesn’t give a d-n, and kids/teens aren’t as weak as some self entitled dip-s-ts think/say.
Ravanger (Rose) to was not made until after the series was over. She was reintroduced to the comics variant of teen Titans
But they still could have shown more of Jericho. He should have been the anti-tera!

Lmao I'll always remember Slade from the comics as the one who point blank shot Kid Flash in the kneecap to get the TT attention. And then later he got paid to protect Dr Light and he took on (big) Flash, Hawkman, the Atom, Green Arrow, Zatana, Black Canary, and Elongated Man when they came to jump Light

I think people forget that at this point in his life Slade was a literal super soldier. They were training soldiers to resist truth telling serums and he basically had a super power allergic reaction that basically made him captain America. Dude can lift at least a hundred pounds in one hand which just makes that gut shot even more painful to watch 👀

There are actually 4 different Red X characters in DC.
1st Red X - Dick Grayson (1st Robin/Nightwing)

you know the funny part is i just started re-watching this show and i was like slade is a grown man beating up little kids
Here's the genius of Slade. He keeps telling Robin that they're the same, which they obviously aren't, but in the process of making Robin dance to his tune, he worms his way into Robin's head until Robin is obsessed. Robin's not trying to fight crime anymore - just beat Slade by any means necessary even if it means becoming the baddie. Slade has been living in Robin's head rent free long enough by the time he dies that the trauma has induced psychosis. The scene where Robin is getting beat up by a hallucination is really similar in my opinion to Fight Club when Tyler Durden beats the shit out of Edward Norton's character. Only Tyler Durden was part of Edward Norton all along, and similarly, Slade is now a part of Robin. He didn't start out being the same as Slade, but Slade made it so.

Has super strength, super reflexes, speed, can regenerate like crazy, has an armory including every weapon, has a blade with Kryptonite edge and ca use 100% of his brain so even Bats cannot see him coming.
