Fun fact in the comic books, we find out what really happened to Zuko and Azula’s mom. She got her face changed by the face stealer spirit Kous mother her name is the mother of faces and the moment she did that she also wanted to forget everything so she could live a normal life and in the comic books, Zuko and Azula find her Azula goes on a rampage, and Zuko in the end, goes back with his mother, and she goes back to jail, I think oh, and throughout the comic book, she was losing her mind even more and started seeing her mom left and right
SPOILERS AHEAD: She actually didn't lose her face to Koh, she had her face changed by his mother: The Mother of Faces (I think that was her name). She gave Zuko's mom a new face (and I believe had her memory erased) so she could live in secret. Her lover had done the same thing and they made a family together which I think is really wholesome actually.
33:03 Azula and Zuko's mother is still alive. She left the fire nation, changed her identity, erased her memories, and started a new life with her childhood love. She was forced into marrying Ozai because she is a descendant of Avatar Roku.
Fun fact of the day, Appa is played by the guy who played the Clones in the Clone Wars, Admiral Zhao is played by the guy who played Lucius Malfoy and William Tavington, Fire Lord Sozin (As in Sozin’s Comet) is played by Ron Perlman, Long Feng (the leader of the Earth Kingdom’s secret police) is played by the guy who played Captain Hadley in Shawshank Redemption, and Fire Lord Ozai is played by Mark Hamill. Yes, that Mark Hamill.
6:33 The ponytail is actually a sign of honor for firebenders, but if one were to lose an important Agni Kai (like Zuko vs Ozai), they'd have to shave parts of their head bald, leaving only the ponytail intact. I wish the show talked about that instead of making us fans read the comics to know. 7:45 Metalbending??? Put some respect on Toph, my boy 😤 8:00 Do you mean combustionbending, like Combustion Man? That would be a sub-skill of firebending, then.
Well there's also plant bending with water and shooting compressed fire to make a explosion on impact with fire as well but that one weirdly needs a extra step of a tattoo on your forehead.
Ok for those who care about the other variations of bending Fire Benders: Combustion, lightning Earth Benders: Metal bending, Lava Bending, Mud Bending (if you count it as both water and earth), Sand Bending Water Benders: Blood Bending, Swamp Bending, Mud Bending (same applies for Earth Bending) Air Bending: flight, spiritual Proejection (basically moving your spirit aka soul to one place to another) As explained by iroh, each element plays off eachother. if it has just a little bit of said element,it can be bend (like how toph discovered metal bending) or learn during drastic situations. for katara it was blood bending BUT in korra we learned it doesnt have to be on a full moon if you skilled enough. For bolin he was about to be melted alive so he took a risk and lava bended even though he always wanted to metal bend
I blame her mom, had she been stronger and less self centerd to acrual care for both her children equaly like a real mother and nurture the the weakness and strengths and unconditional love the flaws Azula would been just fine. It's the fact azusa didn't have strong guide to mirror though she had her dad as for as strength gose but that was just a small fraction to adults being she had more than just strength unlike her father and he despised that about her but what she didn't have was a guide lime her brother someone who could understand her someone who came from the same playing field which ther uncle did not being the golden child. If could he would've took them both in at the same time but like the knowledge And wisdom to guide azula, tho he was wise just that his wisdom did not reach the peak in order for him to be able to nurture her to....truly one of the sadess stories around and really should not have been allowed to play out like that for that character way to much to take in all at once which is why um avid fan of azula she shows the curse and the blessings of true passion, something I can relate to all to well from the mother on down
@@bennyjames558 You clearly did not pay attention at all to the series. Ursa was an abused wife. The things we see of her are through Zuko's memories. And Azula was a messed up kid that Ursa tried to provide guidance but Azula has always supported the idea of dominance and fear. She isn't willing to understand love, respect, or loyalty. Ursa did not up and leave. She is banished. Ozai says so in the show. Banished does not mean she gets to take the kids. It means she is supposed to get her shit and leave. But somehow, a non-firebending woman is supposed to defy her firebending master of a husband who is a king with a whole ass army.
@@bennyjames558No. Ursa has definitely tried to get through to Azula on numerous occasions. The key difference here is that Zuko would come to her and from that he gained her gentle heart and approach while Azula sought guidance from Ozai who was ruthless and conniving. Ursa was also just as much a victim of Ozai as the rest of the family so no, Ursa was not responsible for how Azula turned out.
In the episode where Zuko and Iroh go on the run, they weighed their options. If they are found in the earth kingdom they’d be killed, if they were found by the fire nation they’d be handed over to Azula. They went with the earth kingdom
32:53 a bit if a correction their mother is not dead. She is alive but living with a new face and identity. The face stealer bit was a spirit that when found would grant one wish to the person who found it. And so Ursa(zuko and azulas mother) wished to forget her past life and live a new one with a different face. All of this is revealed in a comic called The Search.
Zuko and Azula, a perfect example of a stable Fire-Nation royal siblings relationship since Zoryu and his brother, Chaejin, or Sozin and his sister, Zeisan
Zuko and Azula mother was always alive, Ozai banished her when they were kids, that’s why when Zuko became fire lord in the last episode he asked Ozai where she was the face stealer stole one of the past Avatars Wife’s face. Aaron needs to rewatch the show
fun fact: Zuko and Azula's mom isn't dead. She actually went to find the lady with many faces to change her face, and i think lose her memories, to live a better life. She eventually got another, much better husband and had a kid with him. Eventually Team Avatar, Zuko included, went to find Zuko's mom. they eventually did find her and had her memories restored. The part where they find his mom is in the Avatar the last airbender comics.
With regards to the secondary types of bending (of which there are more). These are the ones we know of across both TLA and LOK: Air: Airbending but with the exception that Zaheer learned how literally fly with airbending. Water: Waterbending and Bloodbending. Earth: Earthbending, Sandbending, Metalbending and Lavabending. Fire: Firebending, Lightningbending. Combustionbending.
Easily the GOAT of avatar villains 👏 Gonna say it tho, had she had somebody in her life directly by her side like uncle iroh was to Zuko to give her unconditional love and support instead of her insane sociopathic control freak of a father grooming her to be a phsycho she’d NEVER have turned out the way she did. People forget she’s also a literal child forced into this situation just like everyone else and just because she’s a jerk doesn’t mKe it any less sad ESPECIALLY when she has a full on mental breakdown at FOURTEEN. The only difference between Azula and bitter season 1 Zuko (other than competence) is Zuko had iroh to teach him right from wrong. Azula never had that. Hopefully zuko can eventually be that voice of unconditional love for her 🙏🏻
I think they really hammered home in the finale that, though definitely a villain, Azula's story is truly a tragedy. She was a kid who desperately needed to be raised by a good father, and instead got stuck with the worst one ever. Ozai was trying to mould _both_ his children into weapons for his war - Azula was good at it, so he rewarded her for it. Zuko was not, so Ozai made an example of him instead. I could never help but wonder if part of it was to show Azula what could happen to _her_ if she failed him, too. Sokka's takedown of the airship fleet and Aang's battle against Ozai were action-packed fight sequences of good vs. evil. The last agni kai was a slow, solemn, contemplative battle between siblings trapped on either side of a war they were born into. So it really kinda makes me sad that so many people end the series seeing her as just some crazy psychopath.
@@TrackpadProductions You take away her agency as a villain if you only see the sob story. Ozai also has a sob story but we don't go into it because his backstory does not matter more than his actions. He is also a product of the war - raised to be a soldier. But he was the spare, not the favored son. It was his brother who was on the front lines achieving victory for their father. Imagine going through life, belittled because you are not the eldest son. But this does not matter. He plans to finish the war in the most despicable way. He has to be stopped. Azula is just the continuation of the cycle. What makes her a good villain are the choices she makes. This 14 year old girl managed to take over Ba Sing Se without lifting a finger, in example.
@@CorrineThrasherI hope I didn't come off as trying to make it _into_ a sob story. I completely agree, and I really thought al; that was a given; she's definitely evil. I'm just trying to impress that her arc is a lot more _complicated_ than just "she's evil and crazy", which was a lot of people's takeaway.
@@TrackpadProductions What makes her complicated is that she's evil and crazy. In fiction, there is a desire to make an intelligent, calculated villain who is worthy of being a threat. A villain who is simple is Zhao. He lacks foresight of his actions and has a temper. Even early Zuko was a simple villain. He kept charging in without a plan, getting beat up in the process. It took 2 seasons for Azula to lose which is due to her extremely careful plans falling apart. I'd say a perfectionist with malicious intent breaking down because they can't handle a loss is a complex situation.
@@CorrineThrasher...I agree entirely, and that was exactly the point I was going to make, but for some reason this kind of reads like you're disagreeing with me about something? I'm sorry if I'm missing a cue here...
7:58 to Aaron's point, there are 4 main elements: Air, Water, Earth, and Fire. Then, there are Sub-Elements of he main Elements. For example, Lightning is a Sub-Element of Fire. There are other examples, as Aaron stated. - Explosion and Lightning Bending are Sub-Elements of Fire. - Blood and Ice Bending are Sub-Elements of Water. - Mud, Lava, and Metal Bending are Sub-Elements of Earth. - Uncertain about Wind.
(33:00) mother is not dead, her story is in the forth book that we never got. she was banished, and forced (or choose?) to have her memories removed. the forth book was suppose to be azula's redemption, as the team was looking for the mother.
So for anyone who doesn't know, this isn't apart if the show but it is a cannon fact. After she went to the asylum and started kidnapping kids and everything, Azula was locked in actually prison in a metal box, she spent her days shooting lighting at the walls to bounce back at her so she could learn to redirect it like Zuko did. She couldn't live knowing he knew something she didn't, and because of this, she ended up striking herself in the heart with the lightning and committed suicide. It's not in the show or books but it is a confirmed fact, or at least a theory i don't really remember, and this is a kids show
@@EternalStorm796 oh really, I sadly never got to read anything after the show, didn't know there was anything after it. I just know things I've heard, thx for correcting me
Zuko and Azulas mother was banished and just started living on the country side. Started another family but still had love for Zuko. The face stealing happened to Avatar Koriks (the water nation Avatar before Aang) wife. Ko was tge spirits name.
I just heard the creators are working on a Azula redemption arc, it's basically been confirmed with the new comic book coming out for her. I really hope they do it right, I think she can do it but she's gonna have to struggle to get there.
7:57 for the bending (a RUclipsr once summed up every element shown throughout avatar & Korra) fire has lightning and combustion, Water has blood, earth has metal and lava and air has floating (was shown in Korra and only 2 dudes did it apparently)
Azulas mom didnt die. It was hinted at with the very last scene between ozai and zuko that she may be alive. But the show wasnt renewed for an epilogue season, so in the comic book continuation we discover that zuko was actually supposed to be killed originally due to ozai trying to snake iroh for the throne after iroh jr died in war and fire lord azulon demanding ozai pay retribution. (This was briefly hinted at by azula who overheard the conversation) So to save zuko, his mother crafted a poison that ozai slipped in azulons drink, and in exchange for Zukos and zukos mothers life, she was banished and zuko was spared. Later on zukos mom was stricken with soo much grief from having no contact with her kids, so she eventually went crazy (which is where the crazy side of azula comes from) and as a result. The face stealers mother “the face giver” offered to craft her a new face that would wipe away her memory and live with her secret lover that she was actually having a long affair with even back when she was with ozai (who also was banished). Her memory eventually gets returned and zuko and azula (who was let out of jail briefly to help zuko find her) get to have a convo with her and she basically admits that she was put in an impossible situation, when asked by them both how she could just completely give up and abandon her kids & then have a new life and new kid with her ex). Zuko forgives her and eventually the face giver gives her old face back. And there is an adjustment period for zukos new little sister who only knew the new face and not the old one. But she gets it and they become a happy family. Saddly things go south for Azula because she is basically only welcomed in by zuko, and their mom essentially tells her that she is basically a combination of ALL the worst qualities from mother and father, so azula gets closure but its the worst kind of closure cuz the mom basically admits that she hates everything about azula. At this point azula is no longer crazy, but shes still a war criminal and eventually gets arrested again. But i believe zuko basically lets her live freely since she isnt a harm to anyone any longer. Kinda like what happens to orichimaru in naruto.
33:02 Sorry to inform you but their mother is not dead she left with her new man and got her memory wiped by a wish spirit. This all happened in the comics so it's not common information.
To help out what Aaron said back at 7:56 Almost all forms of bending had a sub class that they could use. Fire- lightning and explosion Water- ice and blood. Earth-mud, metal and lava. Air is the only one that doesnt have a sub class because they were already classified as gods, back in aincent times. I also read if they wanted to, they could fly but in order to do that, they have to let go of all mortal attachments. For example aang would have to stop caring about his friends. Side note: idk if you watched legend of Korra but air benders could take the air right out of someone's lungs making them die
So here’s the sich on bending Firebenders have techniques that require years of training, one is the ability to project explosion from their minds and the other is to separate positive and negative energy to create lightning. Earthbenders can train to bend metal, lava, and sand Waterbenders can learn to bend blood under a full moon when their power is at its peak. Airbenders can (this is a later addition from the Legend of Korra) ascend through giving up all earthly possessions to gain the ability to fly without the need of any tool. They can also collapse your lungs by pulling every bit of air from your lungs
Honestly Azula got a shit hand since if you actually think about it she was more abused than Zuko but nobody wanted to help her, not Zuko, not iroh, and not even her mom! Is it surprising that she latched onto her dad and then later had a mental breakdown? Edit: also the apple thing with Mai is a hundred percent Zukos fault, yes she suggested the game but A Zuko was the one to bum rush Mai when she very clearly wasn't in danger of getting burned B Zuko and Azula were skilled enough to not hurt her and C she's like nine at that point she's not going to be planning ahead like that
@@martinhill9561 when exactly did she do that? Because in the flashbacks that we see the two major things we see her do are saying irohs weak for not avenging his son and telling Zuko he's about to get killed She never speaks to ozai or her grandfather during the flashbacks and the only thing she did to "upstage" him was perform a sequence of moves she was told to do, yes she taunted him after but she was like nine at the time and Zuko chose to get involved himself which was his choice Also let's not act like Zuko wasn't an evil shit at the beginning of the show and he had both iroh and his mom helping him, Azula literally had nobody
@@majerjines7726Evil? I thought he only wanted to capture the avatar? And IIRC, he told people to get to safety at one point? I never watched this show, so I’m looking for context here.
@@ultraheroes2383 you should definitely watch it, well I'll admit Zuko wasn't exactly evil since yes he didn't specifically go out to hurt innocent people but he still burned down some people's homes in one episode and threatened people's lives and that's just off the top of my head My point is that early on Zuko was just as bad as Azula and he was a full two years older than her and had both his mom(while she was around) and iroh trying to teach him to be good so it's kind of shitty to call Azula pure evil when she was in the same situation with no help and was constantly called a monster instead of anyone actually trying to teach her WHY the behavior she was doing was wrong Like in a flash back she's told her cousin is dead and then later she calls iroh a loser for not avenging his son which you know isn't right but makes sense from the view of a child
@@majerjines7726 Ah, well that makes sense. I agree she isn’t pure evil, as she’s waaay too tragic and broken for that. Do you know where I could watch the series?
All bending and their sub categories fire: rare- lightning even more rare- combustion bending, water: common- ice rare/specific tribe-plant/swamp bending very rare- blood, earth: rare- metal bending, rare-crystal very rare- lava bending, Air: NONE, avatar specific: everyone- avatar state extreamly rare (only aang and korra)- energy bending Non benders: semi rare(learn able)- chi blocking very rare- permanent chi blocking
Ice doesn't really count though since control of the temperature of the water is just part of water bending. You also forgot about plant bending and crystal bending
Actually, update on Zuko & Azula's mother being dead: There are official comics showing some things that happen in between A:LTA (after the 100 year war) and LOK showing them finding their mother. The woman who was killed by Koh the face stealer was the lover of the previous Waterbending Avatar before Aang & Korra.
Good to see y’all reacting to this. CJ’s new series is gonna be as good as the BAF round table and I’m glad to see it. 1:25 Aaron’s retort was hilarious here 😂 4:176:58 that’s how we know you didn’t watch ATLA but to be fair you did say that earlier but still 😫 6:21 Iroh was playin no games and yeah he didn’t even need to fire bend to knock them out 😆 7:07 ya know what? That’s fair Mikey and I agree 7:44 it’s also Metal Aaron 9:42 just a menace
To educate Mikey on the bending abilities: Fire = Lightening, combustion bending (Combustion Man was the first to be introduced to have this power. It was later expanded on in Legend of Korra) Earth = Metal (Lava is introduced in Legend of Korra) Air = None (flying and taking an opponent's breath was introduced in Legend of Korra) Water = Bloodbending. For Fire, Air, and Water, master benders can create tornadoes around themselves for elevated height and defense. For waterbending, bloodbending can only be done during a full moon. Firebending gets amplified during Sozin's Comet every 100 years.
Air benders have spirit projection and spirit bending/energy bending (from tlok) also suffocation with air bending isn’t a sub element it’s just an technique (kinda like how water benders can freeze their water but it’s not exactly a sub element)
7:50 someone prolly already said all this for yall, but: Fire sub bending= mostly lightning, as well as combustion as a rarity. Water sub bending= plant/swamp/moss and healing, bloodbending and spirit manipulation as a rarity Earth= lava and metal both as a rarity, most benders can only manipulate earth before toph taught metalbending. Air= mostly flight, and as an extreme rarity. I think one other niche bending style but we rarely got to see it if there was another one.
Anybody who has seen this at least from the beginning to where She was going crazy which was scarier the beginning where she was calm and calculated or when she went into the deep end of insanity cause she was always scary but that I was shaking in fear for the characters
7:29 he meant to say about the second element on each bender Water benders can also be blood bender, earth benders can also be metal bender, and fire benders can also bend lightning Ps if you noticed it's blue lightning and blue fire burns brighter
Fun fact azula and zukos agnikai IS a reference to the two dragons episode, also the one when zuko saved appa and got sick, the blue dragon is azulas voice and the red dragon is uncle iroh!! Good and evil.
8:04 the sub elements for each are fire=redirection,lighting,combustion/ water=blood, healing, spirit bending /air= flight, spiritual projection, temperature regulation/earth=lava,sand,metal that all of tthem
their mom wasnt killed. the girl that got her face taken was the gf of the previous water avatar. zuko and azula's mom was simply banished. and in the books actually has remarried and started a new family. azula is also getting a redemption arch now in the latest book.
33:01 Actually most people thought she was dead but turns out she's alive and kicking but instead of meeting Koh the face stealer she met Koh's mother and she gave her a new face and new memory to keep herself and her true love safe with their new daughter, you should read the comics
Not true. The air nomads also had secondary bending. Guru Laghima and Zaheer could fly after unlocking the airbending ability of weightlessness and Avatar Yangchen could release deafening screams by manipulating the air in her lungs. Basically sound bending.
fun fact Zuko and Azula's mother, Ursa, was still alive. {spoilers ahead} There were comics released in the years following the series that serve as kind of epilogue stories. In one of them both Azula and Zuko find their mom who started a new life with the man she loved before she was forced to marry Ozai and she had a new face and another daughter. I also really appreciate that fact both because they ended Zuko's arc on asking his dad wth happened the day Ursa disappeared and also because despite the world having spirits as real, Azula was definitely hallucinating at that point with her mom in the mirror.
In terms of bending every element has 3 levels of bending: basic, advanced and almost unique. For waterbending level 1 is water and ice manipulation. Level 2 is blood bending during a full moon. Level 3 is blood bending without the need of a full moon. For earthbending level 1 is bending rocks, mud and sand. Level 2 is metal bending. Level 3 is lava bending. For firebending level 1 is just fire generation and manipulation. Level 2 is lightning generation and manipulation. Level 3 creating combustions/explosions with an attack from the forehead. Airbending is a bit difficult to determine the full levels, but let's say that level 1 is just airbending. Level 2 is bending the oxygen out of people. Level 3 is obtaining unassisted flight. Note that a praticioner of level 3 bending of an element doesn't need to be able to bend at level 2. But needs access to level 1 bending.
Water benders can do blood, earth benders can do metal and lava(more so bolin), and fire benders can do lightning and combustion(only two people could do it), air benders can just do air(but in Korra she could bend spirit energy)
His mother is actually alive. In the conics that continue the story, zuko finds his mom in the earth kingdom. She repressed her memory of being his mom, and had another family. The whole comic he spends the day eith her and her new family and never reveals hes her son but at the end of the comic its revealed she knew and was happy her son helped end ozais reign
Actually Aaron, Zuko and Azula's mother is alive in the comics, canon to the show. The mother of Koi the face stealer replaced her face with a random face, and later restored in the comics.
Big spoiler: Their mother isn't dead. Their mother traded her face for another one, and gave up her memories as well. She basically took on a whole new identity and life to escape Ozai.
Lightning is the advanced version of firebending. Not every firebender can perform the lightning technique. Iroh learned how to use it by studying waterbenders. Airbenders can create literal tornadoes. Earthbenders have 2 advanced techniques. Metal and lava. Waterbenders can bend literal blood.
BRO AARON IN THE COMICS SHE GOES OFF TO TRY AND KILL HER MOTHER ZUKO CAN MEET HER so in the comics they find out the mom was alive the whole time and just ran away and Zuko, Aange, Katara, Sokka all of them go on a journey to find her and they bring Azula because they think this could help her NOPE SHE ESCAPES AND TRIES TO KILL HER OWN MOTHER SO ZUKO NEVER CAN SEE HER AND WHEN THE MOTHER SAYS SHE LOVED AZULA AZULA STILL TRIES TO DO IT BY BURNING HER ALIVE
Water has healing, spirit, and blood bending Fire has Electricity, healing and combustion bending (mind controlled explosions) Earth has metal and lava Air has energy bending and is undisputably the strongest element (you cant see the air thats bent, also Zaheer v.s. Earth Queen)
The explosion was a for of fire bending. Also Earth's secondary is metal. You only get lava if you are a dominant earth bender with recessive fire bender genes.
I remember learning somewhere YEARS back that originally the creators intended for the scene in season 2 episode 1 where her Boat captain outs her plan to capture iroh and Zuko that she was going to like, INSTANTLY turn him into a pile of ashes just by touching him or something. 8:00 Do you mean combustionbending, like Combustion Man? That would be a sub-skill of firebending, then.
4L Facts
Well there's also plant bending with water and shooting compressed fire to make a explosion on impact with fire as well but that one weirdly needs a extra step of a tattoo on your forehead.
Ok for those who care about the other variations of bending
Fire Benders: Combustion, lightning
Earth Benders: Metal bending, Lava Bending, Mud Bending (if you count it as both water and earth), Sand Bending
Water Benders: Blood Bending, Swamp Bending, Mud Bending (same applies for Earth Bending)
Air Bending: flight, spiritual Proejection (basically moving your spirit aka soul to one place to another)
As explained by iroh, each element plays off eachother. if it has just a little bit of said element,it can be bend (like how toph discovered metal bending) or learn during drastic situations. for katara it was blood bending BUT in korra we learned it doesnt have to be on a full moon if you skilled enough. For bolin he was about to be melted alive so he took a risk and lava bended even though he always wanted to metal bend
you forgot that water bending has ice bending.

Ngl, reading the books about what happened to Azula afterwards honestly just almost made me start to feel bad for her. (Almost)
@@CorrineThrasher say what you like my point still stands
@@CorrineThrasheraye greater women have done more. Horrible mother that took the first chance to save herself.
I'd be lying if I said I'm not excited seeing Aaron, Mikey, and CJ uploading in the same day
you mean not?
@@Vidishness yeah
All I can say for Azula is this: “From the streets did she emerge, and to the streets she shall return.” Latom 🙏🏾
The fire force reference at the end is crazy
In the episode where Zuko and Iroh go on the run, they weighed their options. If they are found in the earth kingdom they’d be killed, if they were found by the fire nation they’d be handed over to Azula. They went with the earth kingdom
32:53 a bit if a correction their mother
is not dead.
Bro reading Kyoshi's 2nd book...Zoryu and Chaejin kinda hit different. I really was like "Are all Fire Nation Royal Siblings dysfunctional af?"
6:55-7:05 the transition of A-aron going from so hype to dissapointed AF was hilarious
With regards to the secondary types of bending (of which there are more). These are the ones we know of across both TLA and LOK:
Air: Airbending but with the exception that Zaheer learned how literally fly with airbending.
Water: Waterbending and Bloodbending.
Earth: Earthbending, Sandbending, Metalbending and Lavabending.
Fire: Firebending, Lightningbending. Combustionbending.

Aaron, air does have a secondary move. It's not common but it's spirit projection. It's seen in Legend of Korra.
Easily the GOAT of avatar villains 👏
Gonna say it tho, had she had somebody in her life directly by her side like uncle iroh was to Zuko to give her unconditional love and support instead of her insane sociopathic control freak of a father grooming her to be a phsycho she’d NEVER have turned out the way she did.
When fire gets really hot, it turns into lighting since their both plasma. For water benders, blood is a type of liquid.
Aaron can confirm this and so can everyone when I say iro singing to his dead son hits different it makes me cry every time
ngl that show was the best and it might be the best nickelodeon show of all time ✨
7:58 to Aaron's point, there are 4 main elements: Air, Water, Earth, and Fire.
Ice bending doesn’t count it’s just the temperature of their water;Air bending has spirit projection/energy bending
Airbenders can bend Breath/Vacuum. Basically, choking someone.

Earth: Lava, metal
Air: Spirit

I love how Azula from Avatar and the Voerman "Twins" from Vampire: Bloodlines has the same VA. Miss Grey has some talent with the crazies
To help out what Aaron said back at 7:56
Almost all forms of bending had a sub class that they could use.
Fire- lightning and explosion
Water- ice and blood.
So here’s the sich on bending
Firebenders have techniques that require years of training, one is the ability to project explosion from their minds and the other is to separate positive and negative energy to create lightning.
Earthbenders can train to bend metal, lava, and sand
Waterbenders can learn to bend blood under a full moon when their power is at its peak.
Edit: also the apple thing with Mai is a hundred percent Zukos fault, yes she suggested the game but A Zuko was the one to bum rush Mai when she very clearly wasn't in danger of getting burned B Zuko and Azula were skilled enough to not hurt her and C she's like nine at that point she's not going to be planning ahead like that
Yes she could and did. She did everything possible to slander Zuko in front of their father and grandfather.
@@martinhill9561 when exactly did she do that? Because in the flashbacks that we see the two major things we see her do are saying irohs weak for not avenging his son and telling Zuko he's about to get killed
She never speaks to ozai or her grandfather during the flashbacks and the only thing she did to "upstage" him was perform a sequence of moves she was told to do, yes she taunted him after but she was like nine at the time and Zuko chose to get involved himself which was his choice
Also let's not act like Zuko wasn't an evil shit at the beginning of the show and he had both iroh and his mom helping him, Azula literally had nobody

@@ultraheroes2383 you should definitely watch it, well I'll admit Zuko wasn't exactly evil since yes he didn't specifically go out to hurt innocent people but he still burned down some people's homes in one episode and threatened people's lives and that's just off the top of my head
My point is that early on Zuko was just as bad as Azula and he was a full two years older than her and had both his mom(while she was around) and iroh trying to teach him to be good so it's kind of shitty to call Azula pure evil when she was in the same situation with no help and was constantly called a monster instead of anyone actually trying to teach her WHY the behavior she was doing was wrong
Like in a flash back she's told her cousin is dead and then later she calls iroh a loser for not avenging his son which you know isn't right but makes sense from the view of a child

To educate Mikey on the bending abilities:
Fire = Lightening, combustion bending (Combustion Man was the first to be introduced to have this power. It was later expanded on in Legend of Korra)
Earth = Metal (Lava is introduced in Legend of Korra)
Air = None (flying and taking an opponent's breath was introduced in Legend of Korra)
Water = Bloodbending.
7:50 someone prolly already said all this for yall, but:
Fire sub bending= mostly lightning, as well as combustion as a rarity.
Water sub bending= plant/swamp/moss and healing, bloodbending and spirit manipulation as a rarity
Earth= lava and metal both as a rarity, most benders can only manipulate earth before toph taught metalbending.
Air= mostly flight, and as an extreme rarity. I think one other niche bending style but we rarely got to see it if there was another one.
Y’all also forgot….Azula is only 14. Girly is a whole KID! Like traumatized, spoiled, crazy manipulative kid!
I’m digging this new series from CJ!
Can’t wait to see who the kingly royal companion to Azula will be!

Fun fact azula and zukos agnikai IS a reference to the two dragons episode, also the one when zuko saved appa and got sick, the blue dragon is azulas voice and the red dragon is uncle iroh!! Good and evil.
Azula was my favorite loved how her fire stayed blue and i read her mom was alive just lost her memory and had a new family and they talked
{spoilers ahead}
There were comics released in the years following the series that serve as kind of epilogue stories.
She is the YANDERE of western animation, Azula is way more psichotic than Harley Quinn
Water benders can do blood, earth benders can do metal and lava(more so bolin), and fire benders can do lightning and combustion(only two people could do it), air benders can just do air(but in Korra she could bend spirit energy)
Not only bend air but take the air out of your lungs(watch Zaheer did to the earth queen), and fly.
@@Patti326 i remember that. Though the only way they can fly is when they let go of earthly possession
@@stealth_mode7351 yea, he had to let go of his woman who got killed during the fight, in order for Zaheer to fly.

The whole comic he spends the day eith her and her new family and never reveals hes her son but at the end of the comic its revealed she knew and was happy her son helped end ozais reign

water has blood and ice, fire is combstion and lightning, earth is lava and metal, air is flight, chi-bloking and energy bending
Y'all should watch the amazing digital circus
Mikey has pained me more than anyone ever has in this episode
Azula is one of those anime characters that won't let the protagonist finish transforming.
Earth Bending has another evolutionary step, too. Metal Bending.
7:50 earth also has sand bending. Just letting you know Aaron
Water has healing, spirit, and blood bending
Fire has Electricity, healing and combustion bending (mind controlled explosions)
Earth has metal and lava
Air has energy bending and is undisputably the strongest element (you cant see the air thats bent, also Zaheer v.s. Earth Queen)
The explosion was a for of fire bending.
Also Earth's secondary is metal. You only get lava if you are a dominant earth bender with recessive fire bender genes.
