Your client's hair is where mine is now. I would love to see a video step by step of this. The result is gorgeous! You are so talented and generous with your knowledge!
🌟 i’ve been watching your videos since waaaaay back in like 2014, never been a hairdresser, never had the urge to do so yet i still watch nearly every video and love them all 😂 they definitely help me tell my hairdresser what i want and you’ve saved my behind on toning my own hair!! love you!
🌟🌟🌟 i went to school for hair but became an esthetician instead! Now I’m a manager at Sally Beauty & I love content like yours to further my hair education to train people & inform customers !! You’re the bomb
aw this comment makes my day! Thanks for being here.
Hi. Can you do a video for people with med/dark brown hair with highlights or multidimensional color on how to take care of it? Thanks.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I’ve been watching you for years and I’m now in Cosmetology/Barber school!! Career change prompted by quarantine. Thank you for the inspiring me!! You’re amazing!!💜💜💜
✂️ 26+ years as a stylist. Been working on my own in a studio for the last 15 years and realised without fellow staff to learn from your skills can stagnate, videos of other professionals like yourself taking the time to share their work and talent helps keep mine fresh and the passion alive in my work. Keep it up. Especially as more of us leave salons for our own studios due to salon wages being generally so poor. Respect from Melbourne, Australia! 🙏🏾
🌟you’ve taught me sooo much! I only found your videos and started being interested in this about two months ago, and now in the current situation with the quarantine I’m so glad that I’m able to do my own hair (and my daughter’s!)and so far it looks really great!!
🌟🌟 I love learning about the different techniques and formulas, I feel like I understand what my hairdresser is doing to my hair. I love it! 😍😍
Hey girl ✂️ full time hairstylist since 2013. Always love your videos and learn at least one thing every time. Cheers to continued education 🥂
This was such perfect timing! I have a client coming in soon with a very similar starting point and this was going to be my same exact approach! Thanks for sharing your process and knowledge! :)
thank you so much. Over the years, I learned so much about coloring. Since years I only follow your advices and I buy hairdressers products. Since the my hair stays healty and shiny.
Love this! I do a lot of lightning services and am always open to learning new techniques and formulas!!! ✂️
🌟 I'm dying my hair within the next few days. I spent all day researching how I'm going to go about it and I keep circling back to your videos. Thanks for hooking us up.
✂️I love how you always simplify the formulas.....Keeping it simple is always best in my book. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. You are fantastic!!! I learn so much from your videos. ❤️
Absolutely beautiful results!! Thanks for sharing again. ✂️
🌟 I love you and so does my stylist! I do my own color and cut and go to her about twice a year for a full cut. She says I do a good job and I have some decent knowledge on blonding techniques and products and it’s mostly due to your education. So thank you and keep doing this!!! 💕💕💕
🌟 but I went to Avalon cosmetology school in 2013.
I just want to say that I’ve been watching you since 2015 and I have learned from you better than I did with my instructors. I’m somebody who needs to hear things more than once but when you explain things it just makes perfect sense right away.
So thank you so much for all of your hard work and time!
🌟 I love these type of videos even if I'm not a hairdresser!!! Your hair looks amazing by the way!!!
Love how you explain everything ✂️ always learning 💕
Pretty hard to find a “colourist/stylist” with your type of knowledge
followurheart11 agreeeedd
Absolutely! Some of us here non pro knows more with these great vids!!

🌟 love your videos. Learn new things about hair , fashion and etc all the time. You are so pretty!
🌟 Love love loveeee your videos! I’ve learned A Lot! Thank you💖
Beautiful result!! Pure hair inspiration! 🌟
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Sylvia, thank you so much sharing! You’re brilliant and an amazing educator. You’re my favorite 😽
i dont mean to be off topic but does any of you know of a tool to log back into an Instagram account?
I somehow lost the account password. I love any assistance you can give me
@Jabari Quinton instablaster ;)
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Love your vids! I have been getting blonde highlights a couple times a year. Watching your videos helps so much when I'm conversing with my hairdresser! :)
Can we just appreciate this beauties hard amazing work 👏 😍🔥🙌🏻 Perfection at it’s finest 🥰
✂️✂️ love your videos and love you girl! I feel like I relate to you so well ❤️ you should do a videos reacting to subscribers hair and what you would do to make their hair the best for them and their hair goals!! Again LOVE YOU!!
🌟 I've learned so much from your videos. I do my own hair now since I've never been able to find a stylist with the knowledge or skills to get me the results I want.
I would love to see you with brows a shade or two lighter or just with less ash in them. I love the bolder shape you've adapted over the years, it adds structure that is complimentary to your natural beauty. I only wonder if the ash is draining your glow a bit. Just a thought experiment, if your loving your aesthetic ignore me, no really ignore me. I can't see you outside of your filming light and am just picking at perfection anyways.
She’s naturally gorgeous, but the brows are starting to look unnatural and they’re overpowering.
such a good result 💜
✂️ Thanks! I love to see what other cosmetologist are up to! I've been a hairdresser since graduating in 2001!✂️ Hair dye has never been my favorite thing.. Lol!😆 However, I do love giving cuts! And I've also done my own cut for more than 10 years. Your videos are always fun to watch! Thanks for another great one!
🌟
I just love you and learning something about hair even though I'm not and won't be a hairdresser 😉
You did an incredible job! Thank you for sharing!
Your channel is so inspirational Sylvia! Love from a Swedish girl living in Norway ✂️❤️
🌟Started watching your channel in May and you helped get me past the apprehension of doing my own roots. Thank you💕💕
✨ This is exactly what I was looking for, I do my own hair and want to tone down the warmth that I have like her and still keep highlights so thanks.
What did you end up using? & how did it turn out?
@@yacinellasbo9099 for my bleach hair I just ended up doing low lights in foil. I used Sally's generic shades EQ 8n and 8v and then toned with a 10v, I liked how it turned out. Next time I will just use a 8 v for my low lights because my natural roots are very ashy and I'm trying to let them grow out and just have highlights instead of the all over platinum I have.
🌟I am not a hairdresser but I do my own highlights and have learned so much from you, that I actually don't like anyone coloring my hair because I can't find anyone that gets the same results I do in my area.
✂️I absolutely love how you explain every single detail,I am currently a cosmetology apprentice I need about 4 more months to graduate. After 2 years working at great clips an only haircutting salon. Want to do color on the side . Thanks for the awesome videos you make for us that love this profession.
🤩🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Thank you! You are an absolute gem of an educator and so generous with your knowledge and time. Your videos have taken me from feeling down-in-the-dumps (as I can’t see my hairdresser due to Covid lock downs) to feeling happy and empowered again! You are a star! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🥰😘 (Also, FYI, I’m naturally a medium-dark blonde with highlights) From a fan in Australia. :D
🌟 I highlight and time my own hair. Still working on getting my toning formula and time down pat. Thanks for the tips!
You are a true artist. The results are beautiful
Talent! Such a beautiful result.
I wish we could see the process, not just pictures would really help!! XO
Thank youuu. 💗 You have helped me alot.
I needed this video so bad. Thanks!
🌟 Hoping to share with my hairdresser! The before pic is my hair exactly. Thank You!
end result is beaiutiful! i love your videos ✂️
So gooood!!! I love your hair as well!
🌟thank you so much for all your tips! You have helped me tremendously🌟
Kudos to you!! You are a true scientist. All hairdressers must worship at your feet.
Wow! The end result is very pretty.
🌟 from Montreal QC, ill be doing my hair for the first time next week since we are on lockdown too. My hairdresser has told me how to do it but I still needs some tips.... I love your videos 1!!
👌thank you Silvia . Always interesting to listen your recommendations
🌟 I'm not a hairdresser but I'm so glad I found you on RUclips!! What I've learned so far from watching your videos is so helpful!! Prayers & Wishes Lisa Hampton 😃
Nice work. Her hair looks great!✂️
🌟 your knowledge of hair is just fascinating! 🤷♀️
✂️ great way of explaining your techniques!
✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️ I love watching your videos 😊 I've learned so much more with color.
This video is so interesting to realize the steps involved in correcting highlights. I don't think the average hair stylist knows or has this kind of knowledge and that is why it is so difficult to get the color / tone that you really want. It just seems when you do go to a hair stylist, there are very few steps involved and I think some times more steps are needed based on expertise and knowledge of hair coloring.
Love your channel so informative ✂️
I love your work, and have been following you for years, recently I’ve moved to Europe and here it’s impossible to find the redken toners, I manage to highlight my hair but I’m a bit struggling with the roots , can you please do an episode where you do the root smudge with normal dye?
Thank you.
✂️✂️✂️ found this helpful! I’m doing a balayage today and wanted similar colors!
✂️ since 2004, recently retired during COVID but still loving the hair education and techniques❤
You are the divaaaaa of blondy hairrrrrr
🌟 You are an inspiration.
🌟Thank you for your knowledge and art that you always inspire me with. Much ❤️ 🌟🌟💕💕💕💕
🌟 but love to learn from you as I'm doing my hair myself :)
🌟 thank you for another informative video!
Step by step video would be awesome!!!! Great job! :). Thanks for your transparency.
Love your videos! 💕✂️
🌟 I have learned so much about my hair (color and health). Your videos are so helpful. Thank you. :-)
✨️I love watching these videos
Hi Sylvia! Love your videos and recently subscribed. You are so great in explaining your processes. I have a question regarding the toner and root tap Shades EQ application in this video. Did you mix the Shades EQ color with the Shades EQ developer, or did you just mix the colors and apply without developer? Thanks in advance!
🌟
I’m here to take it all in! Product/beauty junkie over here ❤️
Very informative Sylvia, thank you 😊
✂️ awesome tips! Thank you!
Great video!! I’ve been struggling with this exact issue regarding a clients warm roots, can’t wait to try!✂️❤️
Hello , definitely has helped me clarify how wrong i've been applying color , ( honestly i'm sure i was doing everything opposite of how you explain your way about color correction 🤔 , LOL ) thanks for the info !!!
Oooh your eyes are soooo dynamic and beautiful!!! im so envious !!! 😮 they are like a mythical creature
⭐️⭐️⭐️ love your color!
I like that you kept it simple this time. And it looks just wonderful... Instead of the star I leave you one heart of mine and one for you. ❤️❤️ In the past you use also Goldwell. Would you maybe want to use Golwell again? I have the impression, since I switched more and more products to that, my hair stayes much more healthy.
✂️ pro here. I been following you for years 😉❤️
✂️I’m definitely newer to using Redken shades so this helped a lot
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I love you hair color! You always have wonderful hair tips 🙌🏻 your always so fashionable put together. 💁🏼♀️
✂️ too bad there aren’t more cosmetology instructors out there to teach this kind of stuff in school. But you know what they say, those that can’t do teach lol thanks Elle!
Wish there was a colorist with your expertise around here 😍🌟
Am trying to base bump level 5 roots to minimise constant highlights.. This was helpful... 👏👏
🌟Thank you so much that’s answer my questions!
This is beautiful video thank you
Love this!!!! I wish that they sold shades EQ at Sally’s or somewhere that diy people could use.
They have the generic Shades EQ🌟
🌟 Although More for fun and I cut and color etc... my own hair ( Salon fried it 2 times 2 different salons 😳) So I trust myself and can’t get to your Salon or I would !! 👍 But I live in VT and I work a ton. So I started with my own hair then people would seek me out for haircuts and color etc... For free I’m just all about hair , products , beauty , style as well. But I’ve learned a ton from watching you on here 😬 loved the info in this video 💖
Totally agree about having a root shadow. A solid color from root to tip looks wiggy
🌟 im here cuz i f-d up my hair!
🌟
I’d love to see you do a highlight at home with the infamous cap method! I’m wanting to do a ombré look with highlights but trying not to break the bank 🤑
Great info I will keep it in my fav, love her color, I have a nice color but would love to keep a darker root look. BTW, looks like your sweatshirt is worn backward, or that is a new style? :) - I just noticed since the following vid in the list (Updated Easy Everyday Makeup Routine + Catching Up!) you're wearing the same but not backward LOL.
🌟🌟 love your vids!
🌟 Thanks for the great videos!
🌟I started to watch your videos, because I was never happy with the results I was getting from the salons. My hair became fizzy, dry and eventually it got damaged really badly. I end up cutting my own hair short What I started to do now, I’m dying my hair with box dyes and then applying a toner. Last time the results were greenish, I used 9N toner. This time my roots are orangy and all over colour is still slightly greenish which toner could fix my situation? 🙈
I wanna thank you for uploading one my favourite kind of videos while we are all confined here in Spain because of corona. It makes me feel better while entertained. Thank you Sylvia. Muito obrigado.🌟
When you applied the level 6 base color, did you pull that all the way down to the ends? Or stop about where you did with the highlights?
