ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS: - the recipe in details: Get a blue black box hair dye, use a table spoon of the dye mix (paste and liquid) add to it 3 table spoons of shampoo (white or transparent regular shampoo) mix then add a tea spoon of water. Keep mixing and apply it to dry hair in a good light source to see it until it reaches a shade you like then wash it right away. Note that sulphate free shampoos and such don’t work. - wet or dry hair? I tried it on both but wet hair tends to look darker so it’s hard to know when to wash it off. Also anything you do to wet hair is more damaging as the hair follicle is open so you can’t comb the color through to get even results.
Thank you so much for the awesome video, Im very excited to try it out. I just had one question, I got my hair highlighted blonde awhile back and that has maintained a nice blonde color that I like, I simply need to "tone" the orange/gold part that hasn't been highlighted. Will the blue-black dye effect the highlights in a negative way? Edit: Ive been looking through the rest of your videos and they are all great, I just subscribed! thanks again
Oh my GOD - spent a fortune yesterday getting lightening foils to blend my grey hair after a bad, red brown dye job. Came home with ORANGE hair. Got told by a hairdresser that I was basically stuffed and the only thing was to go back and get very costly toning treatment. Tried this as I cannot cope with light orange hair with my skin tone. It was AMAZING. Have now made myself a wee kit to keep on top of the brassy colour. It will also keep my incoming greys looking a nice steel grey and not yellow and not ruin my natural dark brown hair. You have saved me a fortune and made my going grey process so much easier. This comment might help someone. I had bleached highlights throughout my whole head, ranging from orange, yellow, and then banana yellow right around my face. I used this method kinda, but with a twist. I wanted to tone all 3 colors in my hair without messing this up, so here’s what I came up with. First, I mixed together my blue-black box dye (the color+the developer) (I used Revlon natural blue-black dye) , then I literally squirted out a tablespoon of it into a mixing bowl. To that, I added 1 1/2 cups of conditioner and a tablespoon of water. *optional* I added the tiniest dab of manic panic Violet to the mixture to help with my really blonde parts. (I decided to dilute the hell out of the blue box dye w/conditioner because I was taking noo chances lol. Plus, I had a whole head to tone, not just the ends of my hair...) I applied to dry hair with my hands very quickly starting with the darkest parts first, then did the banana yellow parts last. I kept an eye on it and ended up washing it out after 4 min. It really worked and I was def surprised. It gave my banana yellow a perfect ash blonde with the slightest undertone of grey. It cooled down the brassiness of the yellow and orange too. No complaints!
Thankyou!! So many videos and people seem to just have the yellow, or just the orange but I like have really light, then bright icky Yellow fowed by light orange followed by very orange followed by dark orange and then brown(?) ...ummm... sooooo what you offer here is so friken awesome thankyou!! I will try next week
@@Think-dont-believe YW! I just updated my profile photo to my current hair (1 month after doing this). I have not needed to tone it since. Sorry I don't have a before photo but you can see how it has the ashy undertones now
So nice of you that you share this. I'm sure it will help people. I don't need this, as my hair is solid blonde. But it's just generous of you. This is why I like You Tube. 😊✌️
This is one our old school stylists tricks. Back in the day we actually had to make our own color, meaning the weren’t pre calibrated like they are today. So when we would tone, we would put a dab of black in our formula and POW ! Perfect platinum. It’s a great method, thanks for reminding me!
@@nothingworksworks3511 Angie used both and said shampoo is better. Last longer so I’m gonna give that a try next time. I used conditioned and started to see a little brass two weeks later. Not bad though.
This is the first video on RUclips I’ve commented on in 15 years. Only to say THIS VIDEO IS EVERYTHING YOU NEED. I did just as directed but I did mine 2 min after I did a test strip because I had a lot of Orange. But now my hair is a beautiful ash brown blonde. THANK YOU SO MUCH
Just tried this. My hair is naturally a 7 Dark Blond and I lighten it to 8 Medium Blond. It always picks up brassy tones and I have tried everything. I mixed this and poured it on my wet hair. I shampooed for about 1 minute and washed it all out. When I dried my hair it was very shiny and most of the brass tones were gone. I probably should have left it on a bit longer but was not so brave my first time. It did not make my hair darker. It just made it more a medium ash blond which is what I want. Thank you Angie! So clever!
This is my holy grail!!!My hair started looking red and orange after 1 month of colouring and I tried this! OMGGGG!!This works magic! It takes away orange and red from hair! Now my hair is completely blond!! Thanks a lot for saving my hair!!!! So grateful to you!you are the bessstttt
I've tried this with Garnier's blue black hair dye on my level 6-8 asian bleached hair 3 times now and it looks soo good!. I left it in a bit longer than usual the last time and it came out almost grey in the lighter areas and ashy brown elsewhere and just soo nice. My only gripe is it doesn't last super long on the more orange areas but its easy to do and I dont wash my hair very often (2-3x/week) so it helps prolong the toning. Highly recommend everyone try it out!!
I have been Colouring My Hair Since I was 13. I’m now 58 & “A Big Shout Out To Angie”. Thank You FINALLY AFTER ALL THESE YEARS ,”ANGIE TAUGHT ME SOMETHING MY HAIR NEEDED ! Lynn H.
I have blonde& platinum highlights over dirty blonde natural hair. I tried this and it WORKS!! one thing she doesn’t mention is that you need to leave the color to develop fully before applying. I sectioned my hair, started my timer after my hair was fully covered and saturated. 1min 30 seconds before I rinsed. Amazing results!! Helped blend my roots too! Left my hair so soft and healthy feeling. Used L’Oréal dream lengths shampoo. I used 1 teaspoon of each in about 1/2 cup of shampoo.
A hairdresser ruined my hair and I don't know how to fix it. Dark roots and platinum ends. Tried to do a root smudge but obviously didn't know what she was doing. She Tried to add highlights to the roots and it is now orange dark roots and platinum ends. Someone help me 😭 would this work on my hair. I'm scared to do anything don't want to make it worse ugh
THANK YOU ANGIE! At 65, I decided it was time to go blonde so I had my hair bleached and some parts of my hair (not the roots) came out orange. I was going to have it lightened again in a couple of weeks but found this video and thought I'd give it a try. I was VERY nervous and put it off for days. I'm so glad I plucked up the courage. I followed the directions and most of the orange is gone and I'm mostly left with a nice ashy blonde. Just a little orange tinge remains on the ends of my hair but I'm confident that another session will do the trick. If I'd used a bit more of the dye solution as instructed for orange hair, it probably would have been done and dusted in one session but I wanted to tread carefully. This is such a great trick and I'm very grateful that you shared it.
@@nothingworksworks3511 I didn't use it on any grey hair. The roots had bleached blonde, the rest was orange, probably from red tones in colours I'd used previously.
Hi hey girl I just want to say you're a genius! I've tried EVERYTHING imaginable to tone my red and orange brassy hair! I just happened upon your video while endlessly searching for a solution that works - it worked!! it is incredible - how in the world did you figure it out! Like you said, it's revolutionary - I cannot believe more people are not talking about it. Well, anyway, just wanted to say thank you. You're the best!
It WORKED ! OMG you are a goddess!!! It worked , I spend all my life , trying to figure it out , and it worked. I used conditioner . Sending love and happiness and good vibes to you and lovely Egypt !!
So you didn’t use shampoo as she did? Just conditioner? I want to try 😩 I just lightened my hair using bleach and the ends are perfect ash blonde but my top half of my hair is orangy 😭 so another question, should I only apply to the top pet of my hair? Help
hey everyone !! finally i listen to this video , carefully and i finally did what lady suggested ! i did get garniel black blue ,i did mix as she suggests, i just have lots of hair and next time i need double of everything ! it is so super nice ashy ;) i had few different colors on my hair and highlights , i had brassy , yellow and this works perfectly !! but please do as she says !! it will work ! cheers
Everybody, this works!! Remember to double or triple the amount of the dyes whether you're toning orange or red tones respectively. The first time, it only half worked for me with some spots which stayed orange... That was because I didn't use enough dye!
My hair is thick and long. Started with the mix and the brush from my root's. It was taking forever. So I just slapped in on my ends and worked my way up. Next time I wash my hair I'll need to start in the mid section, go over all the last of the orangey brassy sections. Also, might be a good idea to have an extra person to check my back of hair sections. All in all I'm impressed with the outcome. And my mum has the same (fighting the copper problem). I'll be doing hers from now on too. 😊
I did the old quarantine bleach job and became light orange. I’ve suffered for 3 weeks and put way too many other products on my hair. I tried toner and ash blonde hair color. I ordered Olaplex from Amazon and applied it for two hours to repair my hair. It worked too. I finally found this video on Friday and thank heaven above! I used Revlon Colorsilk with no ammonia Blue Black mixed with conditioner. Be very careful on how long you leave it on. Mine was about 1 minute 30 seconds. If you have long hair I would advise doing it in two stages so you don’t over color and make it too dark. Thank you so much to Angie for this! I know that hairstylists have done this in the past without telling me! It works so well!
If you want a more gentle option, check out Arctic Fox hair dyes (if you haven't already; they're semipermanent, vegan, nontoxic, no ammonia/harsh chemicals)! I mix their blue/purple shades with conditioner to tone my brassy brown hair! Can basically create your own custom Overtone dye for a fraction of the price :)
You saved my life...I've tried so many ways, cost me a lot for all that stuffs but nothing seem worked, purple shampoo didnt work either toner. Then I came across your RUclips video, I wish I knew this earlier. Can't thank you enough. Much love xxx
IT WORKED!!!! My hair went from ghetto to high street thanks to this method. But be careful! don't take to much of the dye and developer. Follow what she says in the comments. No more expensive toning that only lasts 3 weeks! This is revolutionary! 💗 Thank you Angie! 🥰
@@JaneSmith0709 i saw another video like this and all you have to do is take a handful of shampoo in a bowl and add a teaspoon of the dye. You don't need the developer.
Thank you! This works! If you’re thinking about trying it. DO IT! You won’t regret it. Turned my hair from orange to honey blonde. The color I was going for.
This absolutely WORKS, do it exactly as she indicates. If you go a little bit more on the amount of hair dye yes it turns blue specially the more bleached highlights. With The amount she indicates is safe and effective. I overdid it with the amount, turned a bit blue but now it’s perfect after a few washes, orangy is gone.
OMG Angie, I'm so glad I decided to give this a try. Worked like magic on my waist-length stubborn brassy hair in under 2 minutes. I used Wella Koleston 2/8 + some random color developer I had at home, and now I have perfect cool blonde hair. This is a life-changing tip! Thank you so so much!
Francesca #Keto #Omad I tried it for 47 seconds & it’s still brassy. Does it take a few hair washes to notice the change? And do you put it on wet or dry hair?
@@NE0Nwhip Hey there. It took just one wash to tone down all the brassiness. At the first attempt, I used too little because I was scared, and it didn't work, so I followed Angie's advice and used more hair dye right away (+ cream developer + shampoo) and got perfect results. Apply on wet hair and lather up. I think you just need to add more hair dye. Test it on a strand first. The color got a little bit darker on my ends because they're dry, but I've washed my hair a few times since I've used this trick, and the color is perfectly blended now. The orange is gone
Francesca #Keto #Omad Thank you so much! The thing is I used more than Angie and to me it looked like she used barely any but I will definitely do this. Have a great day :)
@@NE0Nwhip Let me add this- Depending on the thickness of your hair, you might need a higher volume developer to see results. I have fine hair texture and 20 volumes work for me within seconds. If 20 volumes don't work, then maybe you need 30. Just keep in mind that 30 volume developers open up the hair cuticle more, so the color penetrates deeper into the hair and it lasts longer, but it might as well turn out much darker than expected. So just test the mixture on a hidden strand of hair to find the formula that works for you. And, for the test, don't make a small amount, make the amount you need for the whole head, because otherwise it's difficult to make the perfect amount in proportion. Good luck!
Watched this like 5 times thinking no way.. went for it and it worked so so well. I have balayage that was slightly brassy now its back to salon quality just with this trick. Thanks for the hack, anyone watching that thinks its BS don't hesitate just try it and trust. But wash out almost as soon as its in your hair! :D
I usually don’t comment on videos but I tried this and it actually worked!! I dyed the tips of my hair with L’Oréal’s Bleach Colorista and it left my hair VERY orange so I decided to give this a go. I bought a cheap blue/black dye, did everything Angie said and wow, all the orange gone. Thank you, thank you, thank you! (To anyone in this situation or similar, try this, it works like a charm)
Can you explain it to me I'm confused when she said she put a little bit of that liquid and would do anything to your highlighted hair purses your lowlights please help thank you
When you purchase a box of hair dye it usually gives you two liquids inside to mix in order for you to make the color on the box. She did not want to mix both liquids in one bottle because she will make too much color than needed. So, instead she mixed the portion she needed on a bowl and added shampoo.
Holy crap this actually worked on my busted mess that I decided to bleach during quarantine. I was worried because this wasn't really a process video but I went for it anyways because it's cheap and I figured I could dye over it if it didn't turn out. So that you can understand where I was at - my hair was a CARROT orange all over. It's now a perfect blonde. The only thing was I had to do my roots a few times for some reason but I did it out of the shower and in my kitchen sink so that I could watch the progress. The box dye I used was nutrisse indigo I bought at Target. Thank you!!
okay so lol silly me, i used box dye on my dark brown hair and my hair turned orange, and like 4 cm of my roots even brassier lighter orange. I bought blue semi permanent dye toner, and mow my hair is like a weird blue green muggy color, luckily no damage. now i have t wait till this color washes out and see to continue toning. I wish I knew this before! I have dark blonde box hair dye, black box dye and dark blue box dye. so i have back ups, we will see what happens lol, Quarantine makes us really give into our boredom!
@@mariabrindusoiu2863 I did it on wet hair and once on my whole head and about three times on my roots. I based the amount of dye I mixed with my shampoo on color. Because my hair was really orange I made mine a darker blue and left on a few minutes. Not a professional or anything but I'm an artist so colors make sense to me
Payton McGowen hi! So I also decided to bleach my brown hair and it’s ORANGE with some yellow spots, does this really work? I don’t want to bleach again and create more damage so this is really my last resort since blue shampoo would take forever to ship.
The rinsage technique has been forever used in my home country, Lebanon. I was just yesterday hoping to know how to do it and I saw your video. THANK YOU
I just did this after watching this last night ... it worked!!! I’ve always fought brassiness and never can fight it properly! It actually turned my highlights the exact shade I’ve always wanted a very ashy-grayish with no brass and it blends with my natural silver strands! That’s what I’ve been striving for THANK YOU!!!! 🥰
This really worked well on my hair. I did it twice. First time on dry hair and waited 2 minutes but there wasn't that much of a change so I did it the second time on wet hair staight after for 5 minutes. Orange and red completely gone. Thank you
you really discrube my processus too. I did it twice straight away. it all about the best timing. mine needed a good 5 minutes. 2 minutes was to quick for my brown brassy hair. now its a beautiful cool light brown and match perfectly with my 6 months regrowth hair.
You make more sense than anyone on this topic. Tired of wasting my time and money on toners, etc. You just have to use your head with this. Depends on how thick and long your hair is, plus how brassy it is! Just use a little and for a very short time to start, and work your way up. Thank you!!!
Angie!! Thank you so so so much! You are brilliant!! I have been trying for 42 years to get this shade!! you are awesome! Spent thousands... now less than $5 and so many applications! Brilliant!
This actually works very well !! Although I’m darkblonde and turned orange , luckely only at the roots, after I used a blonde 8.0 dye. I couldn’t find the 909 so I bought 101 perfect gloss which is a non permanent coloring and used that instead following the procedure you discriped and it turned out PERFECTLY!! I’m really happy with my haircolor now, beige blonde !!! Thanks so much for sharing this secret tip !!!
I just HAD to comment...THANK YOU! I changed the formula a bit. I used blue black hair dye. I used about 1/4 teaspoon of the developer and colour cream and mixed with about same amount of shampoo you used, but instead used conditioner. I did my roots first as they were the worst and warm brown. The ends were blonde. So on roots I left it about 5-10 min (I did a few tests to see how long) and the ends that were blonde I only lathered through and then rinsed. After washing my hair a couple times it's PERFECT ash toned.
wow you need to make an update video of this, please! I´m happy I´m not the only one experimenting with her hair during the quarantine, watching videos with carrot hair lol Stay safe!
Just used this the other day and just wanted to thank you so much for this secret. It worked with the shampoo, I did it a few times because I was too scared to leave it on too long 😅, but it worked like magic and my stylist thinks I had it toned at a different place, that’s how great this worked!
Update: washes out in about two weeks or less. But whatever you do do not use Wela toner’s, they Lighten the color of the rest of your hair even my roots turns radish using the T 14 and only using a 10 volume cream developer I have dark hair
It works!!!! I did it this morning and the horrible orange is gone! But you were right, I left it in for about 2 minutes and it was TOO long!!! Thank you so much!!!!! 💚💚💚💚💚💚
Thak you soo much Angie, I'm 51 and you taught me something new. This worked perfect. I used the cheap Revlon blue black dye and mixed with conditioner instead of shampoo. The ashey color that turned out was the best I've ever had. Once again thank you and bless you this will save me money and save my hair.
Thank you! This saved me from having to go to work with yellow/orange hair. I bought the blue/black dye and used the same amount as in the video and mixed with conditioner. Applied on dry hair and left it on for about 5 minutes before rinsing it out. It toned down all the brassiness, love my colour now!
@@annikaakinna236 hi! I want to try this. What’s the application process? Do you lather it on like you would a shampoo? Use a hair coloring brush? Apply and then brush hair?
OMG, this is amazing! I have at home some professional hair colours/toners and a developer, but was using way more of it than I needed. This secret saves your time, hair and money - I love it! Thank you for sharing 😚
THIS!!! I tried almost everything. Purple shampoo, blue shampoo.. but still warm/orange tones. I put the same amount you shown in my conditioner and left for 2-3 minutes. The results were amazing! FINALLY something that really works. Thanks 🙏🏼💜
I watch alot of RUclips and this is the best advice I have gotten. I used it for grey-blending. Since I have been going grey, I have tried different levels of blonde and they always turn brassy quickly. You do have to be super super careful. I did a tes strand first. Then mixed a dime size of each bottle of the Colorsilk Blue Black and about 2-3Tblsp of shampoo and started at the scalp, then used water to mix it into the rest of my short hair, waited about 5 min, then washed out and I get a light chocolate color with greys looking like highlights. Easy, cheap, fast. Works for now at 46 yrs old.
I just tried it . I went to get the same blue black hair dye she used . It toned down the orange hair !!! I will repeat the process if needed in the next few days . Wow , this is great ! thanks !!
I have dark blonde hair with bright blonde highlights and this trick 100% worked for me! It was extremely messy though and I stained my bathroom paint so make sure to prep your area really well before you start! Thanks so much ❤️
30 years !!! 30 years I’ve been wasting money on purple & blue toners. Hairdressers telling me I need to go every 6 weeks!! This is amazing. Thank you!! I did it twice because my hair was very orange, I also left it on for about 5 minutes the second time. My hair did go darker (because I left it on a while) but it’s a lovely ashy grey/blonde.
Did this tonight and I'm amazed! I was super quick with it because I was afraid of ruining all the progress I'd done lightening it but it made a huge difference. So grateful for this trick, thank you!
GIVE THIS ANGEL MORE CREDIT! This fixed my ultra orange, newly bleached (asian) hair. I followed her instructions (pinned comment) exactly and left it on for about 2.5 minutes and it came out looking a lot more ashy/somewhat of a dark blonde. Obviously this wouldn’t turn your hair into that perfect ash brown/platinum colour but it definitely beats orange! Thank you so much for sharing this tip! Saved me money and embarrassment lol
Blonde here. Took the plunge and tried it. IT WORKS!! How well it works depends on how much bleached hair you have and how long you leave it on your bleached bits. It DOES darken bleached blonde, so you gotta rinse out after 2-3 minutes! I bought a $2.50 box of Revlon Blue Black dye, I mix up a spoonful of dye, then mix that with my shampoo. My hair is waist-length, I cake quite a lot of it on my roots, and lather downward. My hair was bleached but it's halfway grown out. So I don't lather it much on my bleached ends. My hair was a brassy mess from dying it light blonde for years. I'd been toning with violet Punky hair dye without ever getting the ashy hair color I wanted. The black hair dye gets that result! Currently I'm toning with a scoop of Blue/Black, scoop of violet Punky, and a drop of ION Blue Ash intensifier. This mix creates perfect dark Ash Blonde/ light Ash Brown, costs pennies, and is super gentle on my long thin hair. Cheap Easy Secret was Right. You Rock Angie!!
I did this today. Had my hair professionally done in February and was in need of toning. My hair was getting very orangey. My hair is naturally dark black. I left it on longer than recommended though and repeated the process because the first time I left it for only a 1:30 mins and needed more. It cost me €7 vs €50 (what I usually pay for toning at the salon). Great alternative for temporary upkeep. I'll still go to the salon for professional service when I need a major touch up. Thank you so much for this video 🙏😊 my hair is acceptable again.
@@NoSuchThingAsGoodbye I had balayage in my hair and the process of toning with the blue/black dye got rid of the orange tones that came through. The resulting tone was a light ashy brown, but my hair had been lightened quite a bit prior to doing this. I think the tone you will end up with will depend on how much lifting of your own natural color was done in the first place. I like the tone I get after doing this, but it's not the original tone that I had when I had it colored+toned at the salon. That's why I think this method works well only in between professional salon appointments. I'm quite satisfied with this method overall as I've done it 3 times now. I hope this helps & good luck!
@@NoSuchThingAsGoodbye I concentrate the hair color to the highlights parts. I use wide tooth comb to distribute the color evenly in those areas and use my hands, with gloves on, to really work the color into the really orangey strands.
People it works!!!!! 😍I have long super thick brown hair with some mild highlights and my hair gets reddish/orangy super quick… dark brass… you know what I mean if you ever tried to have light brown highlights on brown hair. I mixed Schwarzkopf Blue Black color with normal Shampoo… put it on on a test strand and tadaa… after 3-4 minutes my brassy-brown hair turned suuuper ashy! Rinse with cold water! Use standard Black Blue color, cheap box dye. Be cautious don’t leave for long otherwise it will turn too ashy! Do this in day lights as you can see how far the color developed! Good luck ladies and fellas! Thanks Angie!!! You’re a lifesaver!!!!💐💐💐💐
Absolute genius, I did this and my brassy tones are completely gone! I had to dip and then rinse a couple of times to get the desired tone, but it worked an absolute treat!
Thank you so much for sharing this life saver! I am into grey transition, so have 7 cm. grey hair and 30 cm blond colored hair. I did your trick with dye and conditioner, let it sit for 5 min. and it turned out fantastic. So happy with the result, have now a natural ashy result. Bless you.
I used a bleach highlighter and waited the entire 45 minutes and orange. I did not want to ruin my hair nor did I want to go out in public to purchase a fix! I mixed a Ash Brown cool tea 1 tablespoon color and one tablespoon of the developer to the shampoo and kept it on my dry hair for 10 minutes! It worked! I would refine the recipe to adding it to a sulfate free conditioner instead of a shampoo (I used OGX Argon Oil of Morocco Conditioner.) This is very good to refresher your color as well and so much less damaging. Thank you so much! Never buying toner again!!!
Love this amazing tip! Thanks Angie! I tried this after using purple shampoo, blue shampoo and ash blonde timers to no effect. I used your recipe but it didn’t take as much as I would have liked so after towel drying it off, I took a deep breath and just mixed up a small amount of colour (as though I was going to dye my hair black) and put it on the brassy (light orangey) top section of my hair. I left it on about 2 mins then washed it off. It worked a treat - turning the top half an ashy darker shade - almost like balayage - and it looks so so much better (like a natural slightly darker roots area). Very pleased. I would totally recommend this method - don’t be afraid to try it. The very little time it is on won’t turn your hair black or anything! Just keep checking every 30 seconds or so to see how it’s going. It 100% removes all orangey tones. Trust the very glamorous salons in the Middle East to do this “rinsage” method! Thank you Angie for putting this out there.
Do you think it can work on yellow with orange hair. I bleached it and I dont know what to do anymore for my next step for a toner. I havent tried any type of toner because I’m scared i’ll ruin my hair. I just want to even it out already because I look crazy
@@pbird0808 i tried it with no developer and it did not work on me , but if u put a little developer it works in like 1 minute the thing is that you really need to work in small sections and have someone help you because it works so fast
I tried it with a little bit of developer and since my hair was red, I left it on 7 minutes. My hair turned blue black!!!!! I immediately used Color Oops and within 5 minutes my hair was back to red! Thank God!!!
I cannot thank you enough. OMG, m hair is exactly how I wanted it!!! I have dark brown hair with balayaged dark blond ends, and I always wanted the ends to be near grey. I left the shampoo mix on it for 5 to 6 minutes, and the result is stunning! Very ashy, but just with color enough to be called brown! Amazing! My saviour :)
Hello! If you don't mind sharing did you apply this mixture only to ends? I have same hair situation dark brown hair with blondish ends and was wondering if I should apply this on whole hair or only brassy ends, thanks so much !!
I did the whole hair, it doesn't affect brown too much tbh, just maybe a tiny bit. Also, maybe leave it 3 mins first and see how your hair reacts - might be different for someone else's hair. Better go slow :)
Just tried (almost) this. I used 4C on hair that is between 7 and 9 throughout the length with lots of orange and yellow, and worked really beautifully. So, yes, THANK YOU! Genius! Much better than all toners, masks and shampoos I've tried so far. Hair feels soft also, no extra damage. Used on wet hair for faster easier application.
I just tried this and it works!!! I applied mine on wet hair and just used my hands to rub it in and left it on for 3 minutes. It’s been able to kill the brasiness of my hair. Love this tip!!!
I did try this tonight and it does get rid of the brassiness. You just have to be careful not to put too much of the dye when mixing with the shampoo. If you do that you will see green blueish tone. This works better then blue shampoo. Also I tried it on a strip before doing it all over. Once when you put it on wash it out immediately cause it turns the brassiness down fast.
This “trick” saved my sanity! Natural hair color is medium ash brown with gray/white mixed in. Stopped dying my hair the warm chocolate/caramel color 8 months ago to grow out my natural color. The bottom five inches of my hair were bright/brassy orange and I was wearing my hair in buns & ponies for months since my hair looked gross. since I have very thick, medium length hair, I quadrupled the recipe of toner and dye and added two small travel size bottles of shampoo. I managed to have enough to cover my entire head and I left it on about 10 to 12 minutes after finishing the top layer. I was extremely nervous and didn’t want to overdo it, but I am happy with the results. The brassiness is gone and the line of demarcation between my natural and the orange is practically invisible. My gray/white hairs are a tint of gray/blue, but look fine. The next time I do this, I will definitely leave it on for about 15 minutes or so, especially on the top layer ends as they are not as processed as the underneath. Thank you for this tutorial!!!!
OMG OMG OMG... I really thought my hair had to be bananas yellow to have my dream silver hair.... I doubled... maybe tripled her example that she showed and put a ton of shampoo because I was terrified it would turn out dark... my hair was yellow, orange, and still had red in it... I followed her instructions and it did help but only worked on patches... I washed it out and recovered the darker redder spots... and so on... my hair went from orange to a NICE NICE silver... I love it.. thank you so much! (P.S. I had some leftover purple hair dye and added a little smidge to the concoction..)
This is the best advice I've ever seen! So quick and easy...who would have thought! Worked for me from the first time and I'm amazed. Might need to add some violet pigment, for my hair was not only brassy, but also a bit green-ish. But overall result is awesome! Thanks a lot!
It worked!!! I fixed my own hair! Thank you! FYI my hair is light brown. I had dyed it light ash brown but it turned very brassy orange. I tried this with the blue black dye as instructed with a sulfate shampoo in dry hair for about three minutes. It took some brass out. The next night I used the same combination but left it on about six minutes and the two rounds really killed the brass! Do not mix developer with dye color until you mix it with the sulfate shampoo. From what I’ve read if you do not mix dye with developer, it lasts a while so I am saving it for another treatment if I start to get brassy in a few weeks. I was terrified to do this and watched this video about 100 times before I did it but so glad I did. I would be afraid if I were a blonde, but for brown hair or darker I think this will work. Good luck girls!
I tried also with the same brand as Angie "Palette Blue Black dye" on yellow & brassy dry hair and it works WONDERS! BUT you have to be EXTREMELY CAREFUL not leaving it too long because the hair could turn GREENISH or an undesired colour. It's better to first try with very small amount or only a strand and wash it immediately and repeat if needed. Thanks for this useful tip!!! 😊
@@petraromanova1938 it happened to me and I washed it three times with dandruff shampoo and it faded out. It will wash out, don't panic! That's why you have to leave it only 1 or 2 minutes to avoid greenish or blueish tones. If it's still greenish you can try the same method with a dark purple dye and it will balance out the green tones. But just a very tiny portion and only leave it a minute! Good luck!
@@petraromanova1938 you can try wash out with blonde shampoo or dandruff shampoo, it will fade out quickly. It's definitely better than having 🍊 hair 😂
For all those blondes out there who have brassy yellow blonde hair I would recommend the same technique just use medium brown hair dye - but the dye must include purple undertone. After you apply it rinse it out right away and you will be left with beautiful cool blonde.
Research and you will find that purple is for yellow hair and blue is for brassy orange hair. Purple will NOT get brassiness out of your hair only blue will !!!!
Thank you thank you thank you! You don’t even know( or maybe you do) the aggravation of having dark hair and getting highlights and them always turning out orange and never pretty!!!! I just did this and it’s the easiest thing to do and worked perfectly!!!!!
I've done it 15 years ago in high school. :)) You mix black dye with shampoo and stay with it 5 minutes. It can go green if you keep it longer or if the brand of the dye doesn't contain much blue. :) But then it fades so it's not forever.
THIS WORKS! THANK YOU ANGIE ANGEL! Greetings from Australia. Hope you, everyone and their loved ones are keeping safe and as well as can be over this Covid-19 period. I follow your clear instructions like you say in your video. I wear gloves to avoid finger staining. I am so happy with the Ash Tone results I get every time I do this process. After drying my hair it looks like... WOW! That's the best word to describe it. Thanks to you Angie for sharing "the secret" and enlightening me and anyone else who is fortunate enough to come by your video. xo
This really works! I searched for a dark orange fix and this trick provided! My hair was complicated to fix, I'm a natural brown/chestnut with highlights done 8 months ago, used a blonde from L'Oreal that turned my natural hair caramel/red and it wasn't awful , but it just didn't suit me. So I had highlights that I wanted to keep and orange that had to go. I got a blue black from L'Oreal, mixed all of it, not knowing how much I will need, got a conditioner from L'Oreal, since I didn't wanna waste mine. First I added about a table spoon of dye and 3 of conditioner, applied quickly on all the hair, left around 3-4 minutes and rinsed. It was far from being perfect but it did something. OBVIOUSLY not all hair is the same. I mixed about the same proportions again, applied just on the roots and just waited and looked in the mirror for the right shade, color. I think it took around 5-10 minutes and PURE DYE added on top of the mixture on my head to get rid of that reddish color. Some of my highlight are greyish silver now, but it looks great! This fix actually works, it wont stain your hair in just 2-3 minutes. Don't be afraid to reapply and play with concentration if the orange doesn't go away the first time. If you have highlights it might make them grey if you leave it for too long, but 2 minutes won't ruin your hair! Promise! Good luck! P.S.: I really wanted my roots to also be a bit darker, thus the undiluted dye added. Overall I am really happy with the results!
Me I'm here in 2024, this woman is a genius! Saved me time, patience and the most important MONEY! I had to revisit to do this on my hair again. It does work! But rinse immediately!!
Thank you Ingie!! I was looking on youtube for a solution to the same problem, and came across your video. Not so many Egyptians on youtube; I'm glad I found you! Thank you!!!
Thank you for sharing this secret. Gotta say yep, it certainly changed my hair knowledge forever! Followed your instructions and my hair looks amazing. Sending a big hug!! Thanks again.
Omg so I tried it. Why on earth did I not know this before. I was struggling with blue shampoo. It dripped and caused blue greasy buildup on my scalp. So I bought Syoss midnight blue and made the shampoo, applied to dry hair for two minutes and rinsed. Tip, add a lot of shampoo to the mixture because dry hair is harder to lather in. Mix it well and let it develop into a very dark blue. When I dried my hair I couldn't believe it. My hair is so so ashy. A tiny bit darker too but I love that because that looks fresh and it's summer, my hair was getting too glassy. I love love love this, it saves me so much money on Fanola orders. I even consider throwing out the Fanola. It makes my hair too dry and the effect is not great. Thank you thank you thank you a million times!
Thank you so much!! For the benefit of other readers, this works. I have (dyed) level 7 medium brown hair which had a lot of gold and red tones through it. I used the same brand of hair colour as you and the same amounts of colour and developer, mixed into about a cup of cheap conditioner. I washed my hair as usual and left the conditioner on wet hair for about 2 minutes. I used it with conditioner and wet hair as I was being cautious - my hair picks up green tones if I use any hair colour with ash in it, and I wanted to prevent this. This process has toned down both the red and gold colour, and left my hair a sandy coloured brown. The process hasn't added any darkness or depth of colour to my hair, it has only toned down the brassiness. My hair tends to fade to red and gold because I like to re-colour only the roots most of the time, to keep my hair as healthy as possible. I have just done this process to get rid of some of the brassiness before I re-colour my roots. I have a LOT of grey roots at the moment and this hasn't changed the colour of them at all. For anyone with very light blonde hair, I would definitely try this. If you are worried about doing it, just try it on a small section of hair underneath first. Given that it has not changed the colour of my greys, I think it will work for you. It is so quick, easy and cheap! Thank you again!!!!
Thank you for sharing! Going to go Grey but want to put a couple of silver highlights in to speed up the process. Had a bad experience with purple toners on a previous bleach attempt. Off to the store I go...
@@shehzeenshahid6637 Hi. I would just prefer to have conditioner sitting on my hair for a couple of minutes than shampoo, and I wanted to use a large amount of the conditioner to play it safe for the first time, as I didn't know how much colour it would add. Since my original post I have done this treatment about 3 more times and love it. I now know I didn't need to be so cautious and shampoo vs conditioner didn't make any difference.
This is INCREDIBLE 100% approved, my hair was CARROT and its a honey gold now. It’s so beautiful thank u ❤️❤️❤️( I used 1 table spoon of dark blue l oreal,3 table spoon of head & shoulders and 2 tea spoon of water. Amazing.
Thank you for posting this Angie! This saved my hair! I went from pumpkin orange to a dark blonde with gold undertones (I plan to do this one more time). After I left the dye-developer-shampoo mixture to develop it turned into a navy blue. I was hesitant to use it but I’m glad I did. I left it in my hair for two minutes and rinsed it out. Now my hair looks a lot more natural :) for the record: I have very thick shoulder length hair that’s naturally dark brown.
thats excatly my hair right now, organgy pumpkin, thick hair, each strand is thick and shoulder length, can you pls tell me the propostion of color developer shampoo, also did you start with roots , was your hair dry when you applied, pls pls, thanks in advance
@@monikabhoir8820 I mixed twice the amount of shampoo I use to wash my hair, a bit of dye (a 3 cm long squirt maybe? xD) and 2-3 drops of developer. A bit too much shampoo is better than too little shampoo btw. Yeah I started applying from the roots, and on wet hair because it was easier. I recommend using smaller amounts of dye and developer on your first time, and increasing it for the next wash if it doesn't tone your hair enough. Good luck! :)
Just received my new wig unit which was supposed to be dark blonde with light highlights (I have alopecia but my bio hair is black). When I opened the box I nearly cried - it was pumpkin orange with the light yellow highlights. I knew I couldn't wear it with my skin tone so I researched my butt off for an answer. I was just about to purchase the blue Manic Panic and add a few dollops of it to conditioner and use that technique since so many have had good results - then I saw your video. I just so happened to have a good quality blue black dye in my cabinet so I did your hack. I think it is going to dry perfectly except for my roots - I was really scared of accidentally darkening the lace so I went too gentle on the roots and I think they're gonna still be orange - but I plan on a second application only on those areas once this dries. The hair isn't light as before, it's not a "dark blonde" or whatever they called it - it's more of a medium brown with gorgeous looking silvery blonde streaks where the yellow highlights were. I can't wait until this dries so I can see it but I can already tell it's done a tremendous job. Definitely gonna love cutting, styling and wearing her. My next wig will be for winter so I plan on getting a light blonde unit and try this technique to get a more "icy" ash brown for the season, then in Spring gonna get another light blonde and go for a coolish light pink color so I can match the cherry blossom trees! You are a life changer! Thank you!!!
@@arianaspillane3727 I used Gariner’s Blackberry Mojito (BL21). I mixed the color and developer in the provided bottle and in a separate bowl added about a tablespoon worth of the hair dye and about a 1.5 cups of shampoo. Mixed it well and applied it to my hair. I let it sit for about 3 minutes (looking at the color as it toned) and washed it out when I liked where it was at. I also massaged the mixture into the hair for that 3 minutes. I hope this works for you. I was skeptical, but the results are fantastic and I’m a believer!
I tried this "rinsage" recipe. It worked ever so slightly. I used 1/8 tsp of blue black creme (Sally's Ion), 1/8 tsp 20 developer ( Sally's Ion), and 1 tbl of the Argan shampoo in my plastic bowl w/plastic spoon (never use metal). It mixed up into a nice blueish gray color. I only left it on for seconds so perhaps I did not leave it on long enough before rinsing. I am due to color my hair again in one week so I am going to add 1/8 tsp of the blue black creme (Sally's Ion) to my medium ash brown liquid dye (Sally's Ion) with the 20 developer and leave it on for 60 min. This is what the colorist was doing at the Salon that I used to go to and I was paying $70 every 4 wks so I want to do this myself and save money. My old colorist said she was adding 4 drops of black to her mixture no mention of black w/blue. I am sure she was not telling me her full on secret in order to keep me coming back. I am tired of throwing money down the drain..literally and I hate sitting in the Salon that long where everyone can see me with dye on my hair. If anything this "rinsage" gave me the confidence to experiment with the blue black in my coloring. I have got to say tho... I am now in love with the Hask Argan Oil Shampoo (and conditioner) that Angie is using in the video. I found it on the shelf at my local Target and it was not expensive at all. It is sulfate free and it made my hair super soft. Sulfates are what fades your color every time you shampoo. Angie, you rock! I Love your personality... you are so cute in your videos and I am now a subscriber.
You probably did not mix up enough dye/developer/shampoo unless you have very short hair. I think she had a 1 tablespoon of dye with 1 tablespoon of developer, and 3 tablespoons of shampoo (someone else said 1/2 cup shampoo.) For 1 1/2 - 3 minutes (for most people) checking it until you reach the desired color; which might be more or less time for your hair.
Brilliant! Thank you for this video! I just tried it last weekend and it worked perfectly! Just wondering how often should this be done? Thank you so much!!😊❤️
Thank god I found you. I have jet black hair to go blonde is a struggle and I’ve tried everything and nothing really worked. And I didn’t want to damage my hair too much either. And let me tell you I hope u can see this because u saved my hair. Thank u so much for sharing ❤️
My hair is just like you so pleaseeee 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼tell me how long did you leave it on your hair 1,2 or 5 minutes? because comments vary about the time they leave it on and im afraid i might go back to dark hair
I had a lot of color in my hair. So I bleached them to take all the color out. With L’Oréal permanent treatment no 5AB mocha ash brown my tones did come orangey red. And I wanted it to go away. This was amazing! The technique worked beautifully to take out all the brassy red color and left my hair beautiful ash brown ♥️♥️♥️ Thankyou so much for sharing!
This worked great! I have long dark brown hair that has been highlighted, bleached, dyed red, and toned a ton of times over the last few years. Now I am growing my grey hair out and as it grows in you can see the cool dark brown of my natural color. The brassy orange of my formally dyed hair was driving me nuts. So I followed this video, purchased a "Black Indigo" dye and a sulfate free shampoo (the brand she shows in the video) just at the drugstore. I used about three(mainly because my hair was dark orange red and long) dollops/swipes like she shows of the color and then three dollops of the developer, mixed in about 2/3 cup of shampoo. I started on my ends because they bothered me the most, then worked my way up. This way was great because I didn't have to cover my natural color at the top. I had my phone stopwatch going and made sure to wash it out before it hit the 2 minute mark (1:44). I rinsed out with cool water and then applied the conditioner that came with the dye. I let that sit for 2-3 minutes and then rinsed and air dried. It's perfect. I was prepared for a big oops that would lead to black hair, but no. It's a lovely dark ash/mushroom brown that resembles my natural cool tone brown hair. I will maintain it with blue conditioner and saved the rest of the box for the next touch up. Thank you so much!!!!
This comment was very helpful. My wig hair is a dark reddish-brown, & if I follow this method, I know (from your comment) I'm likely to get a ashy brown. I think I'll bleach again tho. Thanks again
It is like you said, iy should be like a shampoo..it is something I learned in beauty school a longtime ago..you can also use blue shampoo for your regular hair care routine..it will wash out yellowish of your gray or blonde hair
It made wonders to my hair!! Finally I reached the color of my dreams in the easiest cheapest way ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Girls! It works perfectly.. you all have to try it!! 😍😍😍😍
@@lindokmohammed9132 thank you! No I didnt section my hair.. I have thick curly hair so I would just lather it up the same way I do with normal shampoo and it works perfectly!
ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS:
- the recipe in details: Get a blue black box hair dye, use a table spoon of the dye mix (paste and liquid) add to it 3 table spoons of shampoo (white or transparent regular shampoo) mix then add a tea spoon of water. Also anything you do to wet hair is more damaging as the hair follicle is open so you can’t comb the color through to get even results.
you should PIN this comment to the top :) A lot of girls are asking for the recipe and won't see that you added a new comment

what's the best brand and dye to use? the one you used in the video isn't available in the UK
Angie thanks
Plus, I had a whole head to tone, not just the ends of my hair...)
I applied to dry hair with my hands very quickly starting with the darkest parts first, then did the banana yellow parts last.

This is one our old school stylists tricks. Back in the day we actually had to make our own color, meaning the weren’t pre calibrated like they are today. So when we would tone, we would put a dab of black in our formula and POW ! Perfect platinum. It’s a great method, thanks for reminding me!
to dry hair? or shampooed hair, also do you think it's best to mix w conditioner or w shampoo?

So clever!

How can blue black hair dye take away brassiness ? Your hair would be blue black

So I shouldn’t rub it like I was putting shampoo? I should section and apply section by section with a brush?
Also, how much do you wait to the color to develop?
You’re basically using it like if you’re applying a toner.
How did it treat your greys?
@@nothingworksworks3511 I didn't use it on any grey hair. The roots had bleached blonde, the rest was orange, probably from red tones in colours I'd used previously.

i did get garniel black blue ,i did mix as she suggests, i just have lots of hair and next time i need double of everything ! it is so super nice ashy ;) i had few different colors on my hair and highlights , i had brassy , yellow and this works perfectly !! but please do as she says !! it will work !
Saundra B I wanna see before and after!
What bottle did you use? The white one or the darker one?
If you want a more gentle option, check out Arctic Fox hair dyes (if you haven't already; they're semipermanent, vegan, nontoxic, no ammonia/harsh chemicals)! I mix their blue/purple shades with conditioner to tone my brassy brown hair! Can basically create your own custom Overtone dye for a fraction of the price :)
So I shouldn’t rub it like I was putting shampoo? Or should I section and apply section by section with a brush?
You saved my life...I've tried so many ways, cost me a lot for all that stuffs but nothing seem worked, purple shampoo didnt work either toner. Then I came across your RUclips video, I wish I knew this earlier. Can't thank you enough. Much love xxx

IT WORKED!!!! My hair went from ghetto to high street thanks to this method. But be careful! don't take to much of the dye and developer. Follow what she says in the comments. No more expensive toning that only lasts 3 weeks! This is revolutionary! 💗 Thank you Angie! 🥰

It would be so much fun if you showed before and after shots! 😩
Check minute 3:45 :)
My two images where before and after the 1st time I did it as now I touch up only.
Angie can ir be right after bleaching ? Or has to be before ?
Sabine D that part!!! How you want ppl to just take your word!!! She’d make a great politician 👀
Which one is before and and which is after?
@@Nohanih DUH!! stupid question.
GIRLLLLLL THIS IS LITERALLY LIFE CHANGING!!!!!!!
(To anyone in this situation or similar, try this, it works like a charm)
did it turn out like grayish blonde? I also have really orange hair but I'm afraid to fuck it up even more :/
Can you explain it to me I'm confused when she said she put a little bit of that liquid and would do anything to your highlighted hair purses your lowlights please help thank you
Use a blue corrector
When you purchase a box of hair dye it usually gives you two liquids inside to mix in order for you to make the color on the box. She did not want to mix both liquids in one bottle because she will make too much color than needed. So, instead she mixed the portion she needed on a bowl and added shampoo.
Yes u could see she add the second later in camara over
Can you do a more in-depth tutorial on this?!
Thank you!!
Payton McGowen how did you do it exactly? And how much amount and for how long did you leave it on?
okay so lol silly me, i used box dye on my dark brown hair and my hair turned orange, and like 4 cm of my roots even brassier lighter orange.
@@edrossmishka6855 maybe the dark blue would work with this trick. Yes quarantine is a hair disaster waiting to happen.
THANK YOU
Elsa Zed hello! Do you know if I bleach it, dye it blonde, and then tone? Or do can I bleach it and go straight to toning?
Brisel I don’t have the answer to that. But I remember that it’s bleach, dye, and final step tone.
Can we use this method frequently?
That's exactly how it happened for me. Except more recently.
I cant believe how well this worked. This is such a easy fix, I wish had seen this video years ago.
For roots I used 1/2 teaspoon in bowl of conditioner. When I was done with roots I added more conditioner to not turn the ends too blue.
I used conditioner instead of shampoo and it worked. I put it on my hair dry.
Charine van den Bergh did you wash your hair with shampoo and then go in with the conditioners?
wow you need to make an update video of this, please!
@@jazar6740 how often do u wash ur hair??

The ashey color that turned out was the best I've ever had. Once again thank you and bless you this will save me money and save my hair.

THIS!!! I tried almost everything. Purple shampoo, blue shampoo.. but still warm/orange tones.
I put the same amount you shown in my conditioner and left for 2-3 minutes.

Thanks 🙏🏼💜
So glad you shared your experience! I've tried almost everything and the oranges were never gone! I'm trying it for sure! Thank you!
Gigi lins what's the result?
Did u do it on wet hair?
3 years later.. and I came looking for this comment! THANK YOU!
I just tried it . I went to get the same blue black hair dye she used . It toned down the orange hair !!! I will repeat the process if needed in the next few days . Wow , this is great ! thanks !!
What color is your hair
I did it and it works, it’s been almost a week and it washed out to ashy blonde. Thank you 😊
Maneh Ladia how long did you leave it in your hair for and how many times did you do it ?x
What is the name of the dye you used?
AC ❤️
did you use poroxide? and if so, what % and how much of it?
You Rock Angie!!
please make a video of step by step or tell me step by step...i don't want to end up with black hair
Interesting formula! I will try yours on my bleached hair! Already tried Angies formula and it worked perfectly for my orange parts.
Jw if you had balayage/highlights done and if this method worked to refresh the colors instead of making it too dark/canceling it?
@@mjplate1311 Thanks for the reply! Glad it worked out so well for you :). Did you only apply it to your highlights or the whole head of hair?
The heavens just parted and the angels started singing as you revealed the hair gods secret! This will come in so handy! So awesome Thank you!

Bless you.
Can you go into more detail I’m transitioning to gray also but have so much warm red
@@Wallswonder I have quite blond colored hair, not so much warm red. Maybe decolour your redness first and then use this trick?

Omg! You are a genius!!! I just tried it on wet hair, in the shower, mixed with conditioner. Amazing! I'm speechless!

@@abiigarciiav same here. Did you try it??
I'm going to do this but I"m soooo scared, ugh
@@petraromanova1938 it happened to me and I washed it three times with dandruff shampoo and it faded out. It will wash out, don't panic! For all those blondes out there who have brassy yellow blonde hair I would recommend the same technique just use medium brown hair dye - but the dye must include purple undertone. After you apply it rinse it out right away and you will be left with beautiful cool blonde.

2:37 the secret
I've done it 15 years ago in high school. :)) You mix black dye with shampoo and stay with it 5 minutes. It can go green if you keep it longer or if the brand of the dye doesn't contain much blue. :) But then it fades so it's not forever.
THIS WORKS! THANK YOU ANGIE ANGEL! Greetings from Australia. Hope you, everyone and their loved ones are keeping safe and as well as can be over this Covid-19 period. After drying my hair it looks like... WOW! That's the best word to describe it. Thanks to you Angie for sharing "the secret" and enlightening me and anyone else who is fortunate enough to come by your video. xo
Wow you’re brilliant this actually worked 😭 I just saved $80 and only spent like $8
Do you know if it had to be blue black? Or can it just be black?
I can't find this hair dye in store. Where can I find it?
Me I'm here in 2024, this woman is a genius! Saved me time, patience and the most important MONEY! I had to revisit to do this on my hair again. It does work! But rinse immediately!!
It worked super fine! Mixed with hair conditioner and kept maybe 2 minutes, hair is toned perfectly and just a liiitle bit darker
Where can I get this hair dye?

@@gvalle978 no, I used a regular shampoo and then mixed conditioner with only the colour part of the dye (not the "developer" part)!

Why did you wash with conditioner as opposed to shampoo?
Amazing.
How long did you leave it on?
Good luck! :)
What color did you use
What color did u use
Thank you so much for this video. My hair turned out same as I get it toned from the salon. This is amazing ❤️❤️
This works WONDERS! I just tried this method and am in LOVE with the results. Thank you for sharing Angie!!
what hair colour did you start off with and what should the mixture look like
@@arianaspillane3727 I used Gariner’s Blackberry Mojito (BL21).
I Love your personality... you are so cute in your videos and I am now a subscriber.
she didnt use the developer
@@ahmedbenamara2338 yes she did. 1:1 plus shampoo
Thank you so much!!😊❤️
Why didn’t I see this sooner 😭😭 Just ordered 2 purple dyes a couple days ago 😩
Return them lol I bough the blue and will go back to Ulta tomorrow :)
This is nuts. Totally worked. Love it better than salon toners I pay a fortune for! So awesome. Thanks!
So I shouldn’t rub it like I was putting shampoo? Or should I section and apply section by section with a brush?
Thank you for the tip. How exactly do you apply it to the hair? Like a shampoo or like a hair colour?
It is like you said, iy should be like a shampoo..it is something I learned in beauty school a longtime ago..you can also use blue shampoo for your regular hair care routine..it will wash out yellowish of your gray or blonde hair
The old-time hairdressers I have worked with always said to put a cap of black haircolor with your blondes! But i never had nerve to try it!
yeah, I have seen this trick too...
It is even better for the hair to use blue, turqouise and violet SEMI permanent hair color! ((: its less agressive!
but it wont last long.....i tried it, after two hair washes my hair is brassy again. this method might work better
so mixing blue semi permanent hairdye with shampoo like the video?
It made wonders to my hair!! Finally I reached the color of my dreams in the easiest cheapest way ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Girls! It works perfectly.. you all have to try it!! 😍😍😍😍
Congrats..but did you section your hair and used a brush to apply the mixture or just lathering it up as you usually do with your regular shampoo???
@@lindokmohammed9132 thank you! No I didnt section my hair.. I have thick curly hair so I would just lather it up the same way I do with normal shampoo and it works perfectly!
Is this safe to use for highlighted hair? Will it affect my non dyed (dark brown) hair?
*from experience* be careful around your roots if you’re using 20 volume!!
