Anthony Farrer operated for years as a luxury watch dealer but federal prosecutors claim he was actually a conman struggling with addictions to gambling and drugs. Farrer was based in Beverly Hills until he traveled across the country last year hoping to gather $5 million to pay back investors and clients. Law&Crime's Angenette Levy shows us the police body camera video of Farrer confronting another jeweler in Arizona and talks with former federal prosecutor Neama Rahmani about the alleged Ponzi scheme in this episode of Crime Fix - a daily show covering the biggest stories in crime.

The crazy thing about ponzi schemes. The perpetrators are always intelligent and charismatic salesmen, who if not for their greed and impatience could be legitimately successful.

The most tragic aspect about Anthony is that... had he come into the marketplace as a sales person and built his wealth steadily through commission based work (meaning he would be rewarded for his skill yet not be exploited for his talent)
He would be looking at a successful fun productive life right now.
Yet he chose this ridiculous other path thar will now cost him everything. Never having a life never having a child never having life moments. He will see a cage forever
And its such a damn shame.
We need to teach our youth and explain to
Them how valuable a lifetime is

This guy got the attitude to become rich. But that attitude is what’ll also make you confident enough to not care about any consequences. Everybody has that guilty judgement later when you’re calm with no adrenaline about what you did. Remember that calm moment to make your decisions before doing something bad.

I figured it out when I started getting calls from private investigators and figuring out he owed everyone money for these weird contracts he made. Long story short he ended up dead. What goes around comes around!

But I am sure he will begin all over again soon enough and he will mess up a lot more people before he gets his wooden suit.
