@barrios2293 The vacuum works great! The hose separating from it's coils has happened to me twice. Although, Milwaukee replaced the entire vacuum with a complete new one under the warranty rules. Having said that, you have to send the entire vacuum to them (on their dime but your time and effort) in order to have it repaired/replaced.

Vince, if you are able to give them any feedback, ask Milwaukee of they can add an extra button/switch for full power if they make a gen2 vacuum. I run into that issue you demonstrated in your test vacuuming crevices, where it's not giving me full suction. I know the vacuum has plenty of power to do it, but it's not ramping up for me. They definitely need to have a switch/button to max out the power for when you need it. I love the vacuum though. It's been great for home renovations.

Hey, great video/test, it was just what I wanted to see. I didn't realise that the Fuel would vary it's power depending on the load in it. I want one of these vacs to use as a tool dust extractor, so it will never have any load on it, meaning the Fuel wouldn't ever give me full power, so probably wouldn't perform as well as the VC2. @VCGconstruction Did you have the fine dust particulate filter for the M18 fuel pack out that they say you should be using with the pack out unit? I would wonder if that makes the difference because that is one thing that I did not even know after having mine for an entire year that I actually should be using to pick up fine particulates like sawdust and sheetrocked us. Knowing that they use that small bag to collect that fine dust particulates I'm wondering if that added suction pressure from that would actually allow it to suck up that particular just as good if not better as the old briefcase back. I don't know why they don't really advertise the need for the foam filter for the water and the microfiber bag for the fine particulates but like I said after having an entire year I was unaware that there was even these accessories to buy with that Shop-Vac.

Even though it is a supposedly standard sizing of 1.25 inch it is in fact not a standard 1.25 in sizing because other 1.25 in industry standardized accessories don't fit the Milwaukee so it is in fact not standard even though it claims to be.... I have the M18 fuel stick vac and the M18 suitcase vacuum.. at least both of these vacuums use the same hose sizing so the accessories between the two are interchangeable....
Milwaukee should not be claiming that these vacuums are industry standardized 1.25 in because they are in fact NOT!

The best 'suck for the buck' is that little ~$29 "Bucket Head" wet/dry vac that snaps on top of a 5-gallon bucket - been using it for HVAC service for years and it won't die.
The house and an extension cord wrap up and fit neatly inside the bucket when you aren't using it or you're carrying it to/from the jobsite.
Primarily use it for getting water out of 2ndary pans when A/C's have plugged condensate lines in attics - SUPER easy to pop the top off and carry the bucket down.
If you have a helper or the home owner wants to 'help' you can do two buckets at a time and pass them down when they get half-full to expedite the process.
It's kinda use-less for getting leaves of of condensing units during maintenances due to the smaller-diameter hose...but VERY useful at smaller tasks - DEFINITELY worth the small amount of space it takes up in the van (fits perfectly in a milk crate FWIW).

@VCG Construction. My complaint with the nut and bolt test, it seemed 2 nuts were next to each other for the packoit vacuum letting it do the test after/easier. Second, even if the nut didn't go all the way down the hose, you could've sucked them into the hose before lifting it into the bucket. Granted, I understand it was to prevent clogging. In that case, line up each one evenly and suck each item one at a time for a 100% even test. Love the channel regardless!
Edit: I don't have the packout, but it seems the add on tools have a slightly different design from the M18 version? Couldn't really tell. If that's the case, it may not be the vacus fault, but Milwaukee's "fault". But I get it. That's what the vacuum comes with and thats what was tested. So no hate there!

Hoses are junk on them. Took my m12 back and went to Lowe's and bought an electric 4 gallon tool box style Dewalt for the same price of 99 dollars. Only used my m12 four times and had it 2 1/2 weeks.

This video sucked! LOL I have the first gen vacuum and it has served me well and continues to serve me well and I will use it until it dies. Well, that is unless I up my packout game some more, then I will get the Packout one, but really, you can't go wrong with either of these.
