Totally agree! The entire defense team are a part of the good 'ol boy, privileged eminence of South Carolina...so arrogant. Folksy when they want to be to 'connect' with the normal people. This lawyer / politician is a caricature of every southern politician, sadly. The defense is getting their arses handed to them...and I laugh at the pundits out there criticizing the State. The state's case, so far, has been nothing short of spectacular and riveting...strong witnesses. And I think we can all admit the nail in the coffin is the kennel Snap video. That's the smoking gun. Hope there is justice for Paul and Maggie...but the entire Murdaugh family I am sure knows way more than they have ever admitted. And perhaps benefitted! I'm pretty sure there are many people in Hampton that are celebrating the demise of the Murdaughs...past and present.

You can see him swinging between trauma at the memory of the awful, messed up way his wife and child died, seeing their loved and trusted protector was their murderer in last moments of their lives and dying in anguish - and rage that he's been caught and is being put through the court process, confronted with facing the monster he's become.
