- Disgraced South Carolina lawyer and convicted murderer Alex Murdaugh appeared in Beaufort County court Tuesday to be sentenced for his financial crimes.
The son of former housekeeper, Gloria Satterfield, spoke to Murdaugh in court during his sentencing today.

He showed more grace than I could have.
The evidence is in the hospital records of 24 days, which clearly indicates she had recovered from the fall and was taken out of ICU but LATER coded due coronary.
Those records are in the civil law suit which Nautilus Insurance Company brought against Alex Murdaugh ("AM") in federal court to recover the money AM got by fabricating the dogs-tripping-Gloria story. Nautilus is using these records to prove that the fall at Moselle did NOT cause Gloria's death; and AM's answer IN THAT LAWSUIT is basically, "You knew that, or could have known it, before paying the settlement."
The evidence of Gloria Satterfield's pre-existing diabetes is in those hospital records AND even in Becky Hill's own book, page 49 where Tony Satterfield reminesces on how he misses "filling her meds, going to her appointments with her to make it a field trip."
Incidentally too, even in testimony in AM's two-murder trial, Tony Satterfield could not remember how long his mother was in hospital before she died because he rarely visited her there.
Tony was a fully-employed grown man; and his mentally-challenged half-brother had government disability payments. Those horror stories about AM starving Gloria's boys out are extortion ploys. They already got $7.5 million and want even more SOLELY BECAUSE they can and/or because Eric Bland keeps telling them they can get more from other lawyers.
AM did not cause Gloria's death anymore than Buster caused Stephen Smith's death; but that does not stop Eric Bland from telling lies about both deaths all over the place.
His Mama raised him well.

WOW! What a testimony. It's so wonderful to forgive those who use people and betray them like that. Only the Lord in people can forgive like that. I hope Alex turns to the Lord in a real way and receives eternal life. Then, Alex will find real peace and forgiveness.
I was blessed hearing him share the gospel. He showed the love of Christ rather than the wrath of man. Many seeds were scattered.

@migbham1 it is a biblical principle to extend forgiveness to those who wrong us. To extend to them the love of Christ in the same manor Christ has forgiven us and still loves us. The wrath of man will never produce the righteousness of Christ.

Bless this young man. I can't imagine what it took for him to be able to say what he said. He has been a class act from day one and I cannot express how sorry I am for what he has gone through. I can only imagine his anger and pain. To tell the person who destroyed your life and the life of your mother, that you forgive them, that takes the strongest person. When the victims say they have forgiven him and hope for the best for him, it doesn’t really seem like that’s true. It seems like they still have a lot of anger which is understandable but doesn’t that mean they haven’t forgiven him? Forgiveness means letting go of anger and resentment. They are also speaking in support of the harshest sentence possible- again not what you do if you have forgiven someone. Why don’t they say their piece and leave out the forgiveness bit.
I'm a Christian, but it would take a LOT for me to forgive this piece of garbage for the things he has done.
Well to me it looked like Tony's words just ricocheted off Alex (who is heartless and soulless). He has had no remorse for stealing from all these ppl nor for killing his wife and son. The only thing he is sorry about is he got caught. Those boys lost their home due to evil Alex and he didn't give a whit. I’m sorry. I could not forgive that Bastard. Mrs Satterfield brought her boys up right. Can’t say the same for Alex and Maggie. I know she didn’t deserve to be murdered. I do believe she knew more than she let people believe. She just couldn’t have been that ignorant of what her husband was doing! I think she found out a lot and he executed her. Paul was just a liability to him because of his boat wreck while intoxicated and for murdering Mallory Beach! So he was executed too. Buster needs to realize that if he had been at the kennels that night he would have been executed as well. Buster was an embarrassment to him for his behavior and the involvement in the murder death of Stephen Smith!
