      The so called black British established a colony in Uganda in 1894, and in 1901 the REAL royal family had to flee there-white Caucasians would not be able to survive in Uganda, white Caucasians would not voluntarily live in Uganda

    youth forum this is so screwed up on so many levels. To think that was my uncle through marriage that dashed Mutesa out of presidency. This is so sad and the colonial references make me sick man. How long were they all up in the place controlling and changing us up. Will add this to my plans in regards to blogging and learning about Africa. Thanks Youth Forum early steps of me learning my roots.

  • @byttlejuice145
    @byttlejuice145 5 лет назад +2

    I don't think it was right for the Kabaka to be the president, I wouldn't mind a Muganda, but the Kabaka being president doesn't promote a clear image of the country, because he is supposed to, and will somehow represent the interest of only the Baganda people.

    • @joshkayizzire4522
      @joshkayizzire4522 5 лет назад +1

      Edgar pithua. Muteesa never wanted to president, but he was manipulated by Obote and fellow Buganda officials with the help of British coz they never wanted him personally and Baganda at large till now. So muteesa never knew that it was a setup.

      @@joshkayizzire4522 See, this is another problem, the idea that the Kabaka's are never wrong. That he was tricked, Buganda was a big player in Uganda's colonisation by the way, they played a big role helping the British, and the British gave them a piece of Bunyoro people's land, and after independence the land was returned to Bunyoro which angered the Kabaka, which led to the issues with Obote and the government, so you can't just keep passing blames left and right with no evidence, it was wrong of the Kabaka to be president, and until the Baganda people learn to take faults for their mistakes, its going to be hard for us to move forward.

      @@byttlejuice145 you can't teach me about my country and it's history coz of the history you read and written by whites. I do know that Uganda had tribal conflicts not Baganda only, but agreements were made and reconciled, but the British governors with queens orders divided them so that they can rule and steal resources grab land in every angle,train the captive indigenous people in army then they were taken to fight their stupid wars. It's true Obote tricked mutesa and Baganda political officials who were the co-founder of Dp, that's why Dp in uganda is called the cursed party for what they did and Baganda people are called hypocrites, don't try to lie that Britain wasn't behind it! The British have been exiling and sabotaging our leader(kings and presidents) who never agreed or obeyed their interests,rule or laws and their agendas in the country at large. So Mr. Tell me any country the British colonized without rules and agreement when granting them independence for their own interests. But now it's done by political leader especially the president to divide and rule them most especially in some parts of the country where he knows that people doesn't like and can't vote him what he does it to preach motional and hatred speech to people against other tribes.

    • @byttlejuice145
      @byttlejuice145 5 лет назад

      @@joshkayizzire4522 It wasn't a trick, it was an alliance by DP and UPC to defeat the Kabaka Yekka party or whatever dominant party it was back then. Of course there were minor tribal conflicts, but Buganda kindom was playing the main role in some of these conflicts, in exchange for guns and being made a British protectorate. I am Ugandan too, and neither am I trying to diss the Baganda people, am sure they had their reasons then,as we were not a country when the British arrived. The Buganda kingdom resisted the British later on when they saw no interest with British interaction. My only problem with what u have written is it makes the Buganda Kingdom seem like saints. yet it wasn't the case. U seem to blame everybody else but the Buganda leaders, even though some of these problems were their wrong doing. Perhaps the biggest mistake Obote made was sending Amin to the Kabaka's palace, and had that not happened you would not be seeing many Baganda people complain of his leadership.

    • @joshkayizzire4522
      @joshkayizzire4522 5 лет назад

      @@byttlejuice145 my cue wasn't about praising the kingdom, but to blame the individual political leader and Baganda hypocrites with the help of British governors. British came here in 1840's "if I'm not mistaken" but not during mutesa's reign.
