you can't tell me one great crime the British committed that isn't full of shit or taken out of a context where the actions are going both ways.

Why didn't the so called "insiders" start businesses, the economy and build the railway tracks? You do not know what you speak of. Africa is doomed and always will be. The point he is making is and it is correct. The British bought in the Asians to build the railways. What he is asking is, why did they not use the black population and teach them how to do this rather than bring people in from outside. Remember the Asians were 1% of the population and received a 5th of the national income at the time of expulsion. The Asians lived like Lords compared to the black population. Now, whether in the 1890's the indigenous population was available to lay track is another thing altogether, the world in 1890 is very different to the world today. In my view, Idi Amin Dada looked at a happening or a situation at the outcome, rather than looking a bit deeper to see how the end result had happened.

The people in the area he tried to annex have more in similar with neighbouring Ugandan (and Rwandan) communities than with other Tanzanian communities. Technically, he was right that the area should have been part of Uganda.
He also had a superior army to Tanzania's, at least as far as weaponry was concerned; his problem was having taken out competent commanders and surrounding himself with yes men. His military command let him down.
