They had only elementary education because they had to work to support their families. In Canada I was able to obtain student loans and.also get high paying jobs to put myself through university. In Uganda I would have been lucky to complete high school in those times. All my brothers found good jobs and within a few.years we were also able to purchase a house. An impossible dream there for us!

I also wonder if its only Uganda that faced a slump in economic growth in the 1980s and 1990s. It isn't; funny enough, all the other countries didn't expel Asians. So the argument that expelling Asians explains the dormant economy that came later is bullshit. It's an argument only made by salty Asians on RUclips.

The people in the area he tried to annex have more in similar with neighbouring Ugandan (and Rwandan) communities than with other Tanzanian communities. Technically, he was right that the area should have been part of Uganda.
He also had a superior army to Tanzania's, at least as far as weaponry was concerned; his problem was having taken out competent commanders and surrounding himself with yes men. His military command let him down.
