Determination is the right word. I'm 182 cm and i can dunk with one jump leg, without training. I learnt that the passion is the key to realize the dreams.
eat in a calorie deficit, you can use an app like myfitnesspal to track your calories and see how many youll need to eat in a day, for me, im 6'2 and 165lbs, to lose 1lbs a week i need to eat only 1800 calories in a day, but i can eat more if i do exercise too, so if i do an hour of walking and half an hour o running i could probably eat like 2300-2500 in a day, and id still lose weight at the same rate
Do what Mtg Might said. Also, a helpful tip is to cut out juice, soda, and alcohol - drink only water. You’ll be surprised how many calories come from drinks alone.
Khristian Kim facts drinks are just empty calories that are easy to take, also don’t eat food that doesn’t get you fill like potato chips you can eat tons of those and they give so many calories.
Hieratus doubt ur 5 percent nba players aren’t even 5 and they train and live healthy. Also body builders are usually that level once they in competition and they can see each individual muscle strand at that level
yes fat is a hold down. but from my experience when I was 13 and 210 at 6’0. i was able to dunk pretty well. I was squatting 315. it’s all about the power going thru your legs. although it I would’ve been 160 at 6’0 or even 170 I would’ve been flying looking back at it.
this is my workout : ( im using a couple of 10kg db because its all that i had at home ) 1) lunges (20kg db) 3x11 each leg 2) 20kg db jump squat 5x5 3) 20kg db split squat 3x5 each leg 4) 20kg db squat 3x10 5) 20kg db deadlift 5x7 6) 10kg db snatches 3x3 each hand i do it 4 times a week....and do pylo 2 times a week...it is okay ? or did i over training ? can i get your suggestion to improve or correct my training ? i really want to jump higher ..thank you !!!
abu sedut yo what’s up i was lowkey On the same workout routine as you that i made... i did it for 1 month and a half and I’ve gotten VERY explosive and my vert has increased... BUT i stopped weights training for this month to solely do plyos and speed work... jumping everyday will increase your vert faster than doing lunges.. jump squats box jumps, pogo jumps depth jumps will increase your vert. Look at ja morant for example he did. Hella jumps a day
Hi! Appreciate your vid! I am 14 yo and 6'1 and have a 26 inch vertical. It feels amazing because before i could barely get my feet off the ground. But now I feel like I can't improve this. Any tips?
You need to start lifting heavier, if you don't have weights to lift with then try pausing at the bottom of your reps then explode to gain some more explosiveness. Assuming you don't have weights and you have a backpack you can put as many textbooks in your backpack as you can, then tighten the straps a bit so it doesn't move around a lot when you have it on, then do lunge variations with it on. This will help you a lot if you don't already have weights. Try to do legs around two days a week and always stretch beforehand. Remember you wanna be exploding, so if you can do pause reps with the backpack on then do it, if not then just keep working out until you can pause it eventually, you'll start to jump higher.
@@XENOX-777 as you read, he is 14 years old. You suggested him to start weight lifting but all the trainers in my team say that weight lifting before 18 years old reduces height gain which sucks
@@gpetrakhs They are not good trainers if they really believe that, you may not wanna believe me because they are apart of your team, but just know that your height being reduced by working out is a complete myth.
I’m 6’2. I have a high vertical and I know I could definitely dunk when I was 5’11. I was able to rimgraze and lightly dunk the ball. But what are some tips I can use to get the right footing so I can slam it in there? I always seem to come up short when it comes to get high and slamming even though I have the vert
King Kuto17 I take one huge step then jump while accelerating this helped me dunk and I’m 5’7. It’s all about the arms swinging u up and getting the right footing
How to increase your vert: Step 1: Exercise your calfs Step 2: Be tall or wish for good genes Step 3: You can't. You're not just gonna get off the couch and instantly start jumping higher because you watch a RUclips video. This is years of jumping, running, and working out from an early age. Everyone and anyone that's can dunk or even touch the bottom of the net is outside dunking or touching net. Not watching how-to videos. You either can or you can't in everything in life and those that can, aren't sitting in the house, only those that can't. Think about it, whenever did a "how-to" video help you do anything? If your answer is anything, but "It didn't" maybe you should check yourself.
@@Stark_x So you know calfs aren't the most important.... but you say you did add the most important steps. You obviously aren't as smart as you think.
Guys balance and calf strength really matters too i would recomend squats and box jumps on one foot that strengths the calf’s there for your more explosive and have much better balance no matter how tall you are balance matters.

how would u recommend loosing the body fat to help u carry less weight
eat in a calorie deficit, you can use an app like myfitnesspal to track your calories and see how many youll need to eat in a day, for me, im 6'2 and 165lbs, to lose 1lbs a week i need to eat only 1800 calories in a day, but i can eat more if i do exercise too, so if i do an hour of walking and half an hour o running i could probably eat like 2300-2500 in a day, and id still lose weight at the same rate
Do what Mtg Might said. Also, a helpful tip is to cut out juice, soda, and alcohol - drink only water. You’ll be surprised how many calories come from drinks alone.
Khristian Kim facts drinks are just empty calories that are easy to take, also don’t eat food that doesn’t get you fill like potato chips you can eat tons of those and they give so many calories.
can't help bro I'm 6'3 and 170lbs with 5% body fat lmao been trying to gain more weight and muscle
Hieratus doubt ur 5 percent nba players aren’t even 5 and they train and live healthy. Also body builders are usually that level once they in competition and they can see each individual muscle strand at that level
I love this video, no one really talks about bodyweight and how it affects vertical
yes fat is a hold down. but from my experience when I was 13 and 210 at 6’0. i was able to dunk pretty well. I was squatting 315. it’s all about the power going thru your legs. although it I would’ve been 160 at 6’0 or even 170 I would’ve been flying looking back at it.
13 and dunking? I'm 15 and cant touch the rim.
Tips pls
Love This Vid! Watched it many times

i do it 4 times a week....and do pylo 2 times a week...it is okay ? or did i over training ? can i get your suggestion to improve or correct my training ? i really want to jump higher ..thank you !!!
Hey how are the results so far?
Overworking. Try 2-3 times a week cuz muscles need recovery time
How r the results so far
abu sedut yo what’s up i was lowkey On the same workout routine as you that i made... i did it for 1 month and a half and I’ve gotten VERY explosive and my vert has increased... BUT i stopped weights training for this month to solely do plyos and speed work... jumping everyday will increase your vert faster than doing lunges.. jump squats box jumps, pogo jumps depth jumps will increase your vert. Look at ja morant for example he did. Hella jumps a day
Stupid dont do legs everyday weights is just extra spend your time doing light jump and yeah plyo
I am 13. 5 6 and I can dunk a dodge ball but now I can dunk a real basketball with ur tips thanks so much
My man! Glad you liked it and glad it helped
@@gpetrakhs Do not believe them, you can weight lift at ANY AGE
@@gpetrakhs Do some research this is not true at all
@@gpetrakhs They are not good trainers if they really believe that, you may not wanna believe me because they are apart of your team, but just know that your height being reduced by working out is a complete myth.
Your channel on point. I'm here before you go Hollywood.

Editing on this video was amazing
You deserve a millions of subscribers
I'm 14 and I'm touching the rim at 5'7 with a potential to be 6'5
Why am I here???
Cause your most likely not gonna be 6’5” 😂😂😂 lmao unless you haven’t hit puberty yet. Which is almost Impossible. Prolly 5’10” tops

Nobody:
Uzi after seeing this video: 👁👄👁
Vertical leap mastery would help so many players in many sports!
How to increase your vert:
Step 1: Exercise your calfs
Step 2: Be tall or wish for good genes
Step 3: You can't. If your answer is anything, but "It didn't" maybe you should check yourself.
step 1 is hella wrong.... calfs are not the most important muscles for jumping.
isaiah anderson where did I say it was the most important? You must jump off using you heels?? Sit down somewhere
@@Stark_x Then include the actual important steps and stop trying to sound smarter than you actually are.
@@TheNamezZ I did and I am smarter than you.
"Fat dont fly"
Shaq: Am I a joke to you?
Shaq isnt fat ik don't start a war in the comments
Shaq don't fly, he is just super tall
Nah he's fat
@@user-ki4xw2rb8qNope, Shaq almost has a 40' vert but he's so tall his jumps look small
@@jm.printz1956 if that's true he should be able to hit the rim with his shoulders..
I’m 5,9 14 years old and can dunk on 9ft but so close to 10ft so I hope this video can help me
