So after long consideration I placed my order for the M3 LR I went for a test drive today and the car was quiet, comfortable. It is very fast. I don't need a performance, I never go to the track, l don't drive more than 75 on Freeway, 50 on city streets and I don't want to worry about driving over potholes and ruining my rims and LR has better range. Glad I'm officially part of Tesla family. My first EV. Stealth Grey black interior
@@Evject. yes I have 94 shares but I don't know how I feel considering I bought when it was 266 🙈🙈 Im in it for long term hopefully it will go to the moon in a couple of years 🙏🏻🙏🏻 what are your thoughts 🤔
most of the changes are good but they should not have deleted the stalks and they should have brought back ultrasonic sensors. In locations that don’t have California weather, the rear camera gets covered in dirt easily so it can’t replace parking sensors
Tesla seems to add the most to their updated models, along with introducing new features that don’t involve the “old” technology. Whatever happened to indicator stalks and a regular hazard button? Mercedes has all of those awful screens too and other competitors are getting just as worse smh
I drove this thing in Europe, it is an amazing upgrade over the old Model 3. Especially the seats, faux leather is finally pleasant and does not feel like rubber. Ride quality is way better. Interior quality in general is a huge step forward.
You're lying. I own the new Highland and M3 2023. This is a step backwards. Tesla has stripped the interior to barebones, the software is glitchy, and there is not much ride difference. The autopilot is even more problematic than before with excessive phantom braking, and low definition park assist. Active cruise control is buggy, something which $20K cars from Korea and China have mastered.
@@alimohammed437 so where am I lying? I did not use the autopilot and I do not use cruise control at all, the software worked fine for me. I noticed a much better ride quality, especially over bumps. My biggest issue with older Model 3 was faux leather that felt like rubber, they got it fixed in this new one. I also liked ambient lighting in new Model 3. You have your opinion, I have mine.
I’m so over the bubble look of the first model, and those base model wheel covers just got played out way too quick. The new one is a breath of fresh air, can’t wait to see them on the road. Love the new refresh
Drove this recently. Coming from an early 2018 3, this thing is a huge improvement and such a steal for the price. Waiting for performance model release before upgrading.
Any comments on suspension comfort and road noise compared to the ‘18? I had a ‘19 M3P (yes bigger wheels) and was going to go with an I4 for better comfort but now I’m wondering if this redesign is enough of any improvement to with this again.
@@HorseInTheHospital I’d say road noise and suspension harshness were the two biggest noticeable improvements, which are my two biggest complaints for my 2018 3.
We drove the new 3; love the look. We are early adopters with a 2018 Model 3 Mid Range. I am a buyer, but wanna see the Performance before making my decision.
The steering wheel is nicer looking, but stalks.. not to beat a dead horse, it's just a nicer driving experience being able to interact with your vehicle. This just seems really unsatisfying to use
I'm pretty sure that's the camera focus lense that shifted due to another focal point entering the camera. Kinda like in ipads during facetime calls. It follows the subject.
for the vast majority 340 vs 305 mile range makes absolutely no difference in their decision. The average driver drives 37 miles or so a day. Its silly, get the one that is within your budget and looks you like
I drove the "Highland" last week. The heated/ventilated seats definitely make the car feel more complete than the initial version. Though the ambient lighting is unnecessary, it does help make the car feel slightly more futuristic considering the interiors of the new Mercedes EQ vehicles. The touch-screen to shift gimmick is annoying. I think it would have been better done as simple press buttons - but fortunately the buttons have a redundancy on the ceiling panel. The windshield wiper toggle and turn buttons take getting used to. Honestly, with Tesla, it's like taking 2 steps forward and 3 steps back. Everything they do reeks of lack of beta testing - evident by all the problems they're having with the Cybertruck now. The Model 3 and Model Y will both benefit from these improvements I think.
Tesla does a good job at combining both luxury and performance, even though their history is mostly about performance. I like this update but don’t like the taillights..
The look of the front is a huge improvement. I’ve always disliked the bland slab design of the front end of the Model 3. The rear is a nice change, too. I would consider buying one of these.
Hopefully now the headlights won't blind every single person they drive past on the highway. It's amazing that the car has the most easily adjusted headlights I've ever seen, yet no one has them properly calibrated, so they're all pointed waaaay too high.
A mate of mine just bought one made in china in cosmic blue...nothing illegal here. Elon would agree, a highly intelligent 🚘 automobile...lock me in Scotty.
One correction...you mentioned 360 cameras. Nope, the model 3, nor any Tesla, has a front camera so no 360 view...only rear, left and right views. Also no top down view like every other auto manufacturer that offers true 360 visibility. This is a real miss Tesla. Also, getting rid of the steering wheel stalks is another mistake...will make many drivers uncomfortable.

I was interested in getting the new revised models this year but no stock no thanks. This is like their forced yoke steering wheel only to reverse later on. Telsa is trying way too hard to change the way we drive when no one is asking them to. I'm sure most of use are not saying damn I wish all of these stocks would go away cause they so get in the way of driving. To me this is all bout the look and not so much bout functionality. What if I want to signal while I'm turning wheel. I would have to stop first to signal? I'm sure BMW drivers are fine with this change tho. 😊
Really dislike the glass roof, would rather have it be deleted entirely and covered for rear passengers. I would never want to sit back there and constantly be in the sun in a place with lots of sun. Otherwise I really like the updates.
The older people will have a hard time to adjust to the ultra minimalistic design of this car. I feel Tesla made a mistake with their decision to remove the stalks. If anything I think they should instead added more physical buttons/knobs for essential controls.
Tesla as convinced so many that the word “minimalist” is a good thing when used describing the interior. Minimalist means featureless. The seat material is super cheap and changes color (black seats from Shanghai ) sitting under huge glass in the hot tropic weather where I live. Not even any hand holds, this guy has to really work hard to say anything nice about this interior that looks like a base Toyota sold only in South America. It’s great they are coping the surround led lights that BYD has been doing in China for years. Teenage boys should love that. No hud? No inferred vision? That would be tech. Yea, it’s coming this time, really. Please plunk down 15k and hold your breath.
At first, I was excited about the Highland exterior refresh. But, I seem to have gone back to appreciating the most recent culmination of small changes over time, more than the Highland. I prefer the pre-refresh headlamps and the size of the brake lights. Given how terribly people drive, I prefer larger brake lights so they can see me! Having said that, I am excited about some of the interior changes such as the ventilated seats. Indifferent about the missing stalks. Dislike the interior LED strip, seems cheap. Had a 2020 LR and currently a 2023 Performance, and I don't see much of a change between pre- refresh and Highland as far as design. What Tesla really needs to improve is their terrible mirrors that do not dim, the half-ass rain sensing wipers that only seem to sense large falling rain drops and not moisture on the windscreen, and the climate control that doesn't know when the windows are fogging over. Euro manufacturers have had these three features figured out for decades.
