- My Ruger PC Carbine has been a very enjoyable firearm. I have 500 rounds through it at this point and it needs a good cleaning. In today's video we look at the disassembly as well as a basic cleaning in a general field strip and basic cleaning.

ordered the 19117 and your vids are super helpful TY
Another great informative video can't wait to see what you have planned for it. I have both 10/22 and PC9 and your videos have helped me much.
Thanks! Glad to be helpful. Project complete and edit in the works! I appreciate your support!
You cannot use a torque wrench to unscrew, because it requires more force to turn the screw than if it would not already be tightened and there is loctite on the screws, which greatly distorts the data. so they are not that tight
Great information thanks you so much it's going to help me out a lot.
A lot of my friends at the range opted for a Ruger PCC and they are good guns. However, not to be pompous but one can field strip a CZ Scorpion in 10-15 seconds to the same level as the above Ruger PCC. Easily under 10 if you are racing a clock ...
The manual has the torque for charging handle and chassis screws
Good video bud, I have a telescopic stock on my PC,, but when you flip the gun over only one screw is visible and I’m guessing the other one is in the grip and it’s a nut not a screw
Hey great video! Got myself a PC Carbine and this is super helpful as I get to cleaning it. One question though, what torque screwdriver are you using there?
I use a couple torque drivers, but I have one from Vanpo that I find I use the most. It's covered in detail on my channel if you're interested. Thanks for watching!
Awesome, thanks!@@OuterLimitless2
Nice slow showing for me as i have just bought the 9mm
Congrats... I think you'll be very happy with it. I'm working through some ejection issues but I'll have it all figured out and documented through my channel
I will watch & wait to see what issues you have hope that's not a common thing on these.I also have a High Point 995 9mm just recently bought also if you will be doing a showing of that eventually would be fun to see.@@OuterLimitless2
As a beginner, I have a question, do you need to worry about lead contamination while you are cleaning guns without putting on gloves? Thanks.
I think it's likely more about the solvents getting through your skin...I think the lead would need to be ingested... But I'm no expert.
@@OuterLimitless2 thanks!
What's the reasoning behind only running the cleaning rod one way? What kind of groups are you getting?
Some theories say pushing in the same direction as the travel of the projectile can minimize the potential to damage the rifling. I don't truly know if that's real or a myth. But I definitely pay attention to the details when I can.
I've filmed most of my shots... They're pretty tight so far... Good enough for self defense shooting
@@OuterLimitless2 I don't think I'm getting all of your video notifications.
What I read from other videos, some said that pushing it one way will avoid bringing the debris back into.
what is is with just showing the disassembly. Every video disassembly video should include the reassembly.
Play it in reverse?
In all seriousness, this was the disassembly just prior to me putting in the vinyl wrap. If you watch my next PC Carbine video or was wrapping the entire thing in a vinyl wrap. So I couldn't reassemble as part of this particular video.
LOL@@OuterLimitless2
Juat get on with how to clean the damn thing. 3 minutes is and your still jabbering about nothing.
You won't like my channel...I talk about things. You should watch another channel. Or use the handy fast forward feature?
Should I get the regular hand front stock or the MLOK?
Depends on your needs. For me I wouldn't consider anything other than the M-Lok. I want the flexibility and versatility
