I used to have a Diesel Juke Tekna as a company car. In black the car looks excellent and the Oil Burner is superb, really easy car to do overtaking manoeuvres with. Give it a bit of throttle even in 6th gear and it'll happily pull away. If you're a fan of the looks then give one a test drive. Comfy, solidly built, good MPG and not a wallet breaker.
Recently, my partner and I purchased the pre-owned 2014 Nissan Juke for our 3rd vehicle. And honestly... I like but I don't love. However, the only reasons for not loving-the-vehicle are because 1. No Touch Screen, 2. Light Tinted Windows, and 3. No Reversal Camera, 4. White Color. This being mentioned, installing these features is affordable and bypasses the 2014 Nissan Juke's cons. 2014 Nissan Juke pros indicate hatchback, unique exterior style, sun roof, good gas mileage, 3 drive-modes (Eco, Normal, and Sport), and adequately spacious for a shared compact vehicle. I doubt we'll modify the color as this would cost over $1,000.00. We plan to install the touch screen, tint the windows, and install a reversal camera (though, the reversal camera isn't necessary as the hatchback allows a perfect view for reversal parking without a camera). Our goal is to essentially follow the path of financial freedom. We'll drive this cute, unique-looking good-on-gas-mileage hatchback to save money as our Vintage Dodge and luxury Dodge Trucks are costly to drive. We not only saved mega bucks from purchasing this vehicle versus a more updated vehicle; we're a step closer to being debt-free. In short, recommended if you'd not mind installing advanced features (touch screen and reversal camera). I'd much rather have the 2014 Nissan Juke and only pay a few hundreds out-of-pocket for installing mentioned updates versus the financial-tie to pay for an updated vehicle that is costly and prevents or slows-down the path to financial freedom. Our goal is to retire early and comfortably. I'm 27 years of age and my partner is 38 years of ago. Thank you for the informative insight.
I wanna be honest, I don't hate the Juke, sure it looks odd but I don't think its a bad looking car, especially with 18inch Alloy wheels it looks pretty cool. If i had to describe the Juke with one word is "Unique".
When the Juke was first released, I thought it was the ugliest car on the road. I must admit however that its grown on me and I know think it's one of the better looking cars on the road. It's not pretty, but it's interesting and kinda handsome in a brutish way. It isn't very practical though- when looking at one, I found the boot to be rather small and had a rather large load lip. While the legroom in the back wasn't bad, the headroom wasn't too great, and I can't help thinking that glossy, metallic trim around the gearbox and doors will get scratched up horribly pretty soon. Having said that though, you can easily get a top spec Juke, low miles, that's only a couple of years old for around £10,000. If you can see past the pokey interior, I'd recommend it
TRASHoftheTITANS The reason they were so successful was due to the Juke R, lot's of young kid's were buying them once they saw what the Juke R could do. It didn't matter how it looked because it was one of the fastest cars on the road.
I think now that cars are all looking the same, I think that Juke stands out in design. Whenever I see it on the roads, I immediately look at it, not cause it's ugly but because it's different. I definitely would check it out if I was in the market for a car.
Great little car! Call it Puke, call it Frog, whatever. At least it looks different from a VW Polo or Golf, that since 1974 are booooooooooring. The fact that over 500.000 people have bought one, tells you that Nissan has a winner here! I love it.
Got one like this - only thing I'd say is that contrary to the review it goes great in town and on the motorway and as ever the MPG figs quoted are misleading - I get 38.4mpg overall. The corner grip IS something of a bum clencher AND the brake feel is very poor though stopping power seems fine. Super reliable - 25k miles in 11 months and nothing has gone wrong - more than I can say - far more than I can say - about my previous Ford CMax
I've had one as the family car for the last six years it's an eleven plate accenta in red I have to admit it's been a really good car very reliable only cost us wear and tear the only reason I'd sell it is my three children r outgrowing it I would recommend one .

The Juke gives crossover driver's height and easy driver access. I think it's a weird coupe alternative. Personally I don't like the Juke's cramped size or styling but most coupes aren't practical either. Add the Turbo and AWD to a Versa Note and then you've got something, but Juke sales don't lie...
Dear Carbuyer , Why there is only one single owner review of the Nissan Juke in the owners Carbuyer page ? I mean this is the UK best seller car , right ?
Atleast Nissan didn't kill it's charm with the facelift like Skoda have with the Yeti !!! Can you get AWD as an option now on all the engines unlike before, I hope so, otherwise it's just gonna remain a car driven by pensioners , like Matt eluded to in the review !!!
The 2014 1.8 turbo is plenty quick and handles great. It's easy to find a comfortable position(I'm 6'0) and even as a fwd, it's impressed me. Fun to drive, but really easy to speed.
For as much as I love to hate on the first generation of Juke, I've been in a couple of them over the last 2 years, and they're actually not bad cars. The worst thing about actually being driven, or driving them is how cramped the back seats are, and how poor rear visibility is. Otherwise though, they actually drive pretty well. And there's no doubting how much better the 2nd generation is.
Greetings from Mexico Matt, you are lucky to have 4 wheel drive coZ' at lease here in Mexico there's no such a think like that, not even in a full grade model
Gashhh, I was chosen between Juke and Sportage and chosen Sportage - better car, a lot more space, the drive quality is perfect and it looks like a real SUV, than GOD that I not chosen the Juke which is far away from Sportage :)

This car looks so ugly as it is. Honestly, if Nissan was smart and put a normal front end on this thing, it would sell like mad. It has a low starting price, and the rest of the car actually looks pretty decent in my mind. Its just those damn crocodile eye headlights that are scaring off everyone. Its a shame they couldn't cash in on the small CUV craze because this thing could have enjoyed a good 4 years of being the only option on the market. Now every automaker is releasing a small CUV, whether its honda with the vezel or chevy with the trax
ok for a 1st time driving looking at one of these which should I pick Nissan juke, Renault Captur, or the Vauxhall Mokka. I like the look of all 3 but need more info
If a frog on a skateboard has road presence, then anything does! But I have to admit it's great to drive, especially on the motorway. The 1.2 engine is hardly trying at 70 mph; it's doing just 2350 rpm, still pulling strongly, and with the cruise control on it's effortless. About 45 mpg too, so fuel consumption isn't as bad as some people think. Overall, a nice little car just as long as you're not bothered about how it looks, and nothing like as thirsty as many reviewers tell us.
I don't know about that. Done a number of longish journeys in the last month or so, and my Juke 1.2 has averaged 48 mpg; these were a mixture of town, extra-urban and motorway driving, much of it in hilly country with quite a few long, steep ascents. Whichever way you look at it, that ain't bad for a car that is often maligned for poor fuel consumption and is about as aerodynamic as a housebrick!
I just bought one, however i want to know why nissan was lazy about the hand brake position? its in the same place no matter left or right hand drive, in the uk the hand brake feels far away and at times almost hitting the person sitting in the passenger!!!!! lazy.

Yeah, that's what I thought at first. Bought one of these for my mother, who is 92 and has trouble getting in and out of low cars. Looks aside, it's actually quite fun to drive, very, very good on the motorway, and once you get the knack of eco-driving, not bad at all on the juice. Ours is the 1.2 Acenta Premium; took it for a 150 mile round trip yesterday - the vast majority of it at 70 mph on the motorway - at it returned 44 miles per gallon. Don't know about you, but I reckon that's pretty good for a tall car.
