I find the biggest problem with the design of the juke is that it needs a strong colour such as bright yellow for it to really work. But everybody bought them in dull colours like silver so they seem weird rather than as a design statement.

I have a 2013 Nissan Juke Shiro (top of the line limited edition model, even better than the Tekna) finished in gorgeous deep aubergine-like metallic color. It has a 1.5 dCi with a 6-speed manual. The odometer reads 325k kilometers and from those 325k, I've done 300k kilometers. One of the most reliable cars I've had. Really nippy in the town, really great for long distances considering the size.

Love these cars, had two of them, a red one I gave to my mother, and now I have a white one in n-connecta spec on a 66 plate , both with the 1.5 dci engine, which has been fantastically reliable and punchy enough when needed. The ride quality is awful for a car with raised ride height and the interior quality is questionable too. I'm 29 and have been lucky enough to have had brand new audi's and bmw's in the past which where both impressive as expected. but I love the cheap and cheerful nature of the juke, the low running and servicing costs. You can park it anywhere without the fear of someone dinging it. I think they make a a great second hand purchase but could never buy one new.

Just want to say thank you, Matt, your videos have helped me immensely in looking for a new car for the wife. Case in point: Went to see a Focus yesterday. Immediately spotted the car was from Inverness (cold, salty roads in winter, near the coast. Found sand behind the headlights, found a rotten engine bay, knackered suspension, bad paint repair, suspicious oil speckling on areas of the engine that has been missed in a steam clean that suggested very hot, high pressure oil failure of some sort, I noted the tyres and brakes down to the date codes (to be fair, the tyres - 2 Goodyear and 2 Autogreen, all with good tread - were the best part of the whole car!). Ultimately I decided that I didn't even want to test drive it since the suspension was shagged, and that it was a rot bomb waiting to happen. Without your videos (and those of Salvage Rebuilds UK) I wouldn't have spotted half of that stuff. So thank you, your videos are extremely informative and helpful!

How is that possible ? 127 thousand miles on original clutch and gearbox and only paid £600 for it back in 2017 I think you should buy and sell on a few of the old Colts as good thing is you would never have a customer come back to you for any warranty claims , seems to be the way with most Japanese brands.

I remember catching a lift in a friend's Juke, I managed to resist asking what possessed him to buy it, as the lift was appreciated. But the Juke was so cramped, and felt cheap, and it was slow despite his best efforts.
Now everytime I see one, I just wonder why they've chose it, and they're the same as the Renault Captur (correct me if I'm wrong), and that was the worst car I've ever driven, I gave it back to the hire company and asked for something else, it was dreadful. I give those a very wide birth, with the logic only a complete idiot would have spent their money on a Captur.
The new Juke is actually a lot nicer, still fugly, but less fugly, feels more spacious inside, still feels cheap though, I think I'd be happy to drive one without a paper bag on my head, I wouldn't want one though.

    Juke…..
Bought one for my daughter for her use while at Uni here in Canada.
Bought as a 3 year old, low kms, excellent condition in and out, $13500 for cash. She had the car for 4 years while doing her Vet’s degree, changed the oil annually at ‘Great Canadian Oil Change’ in Saskatoon, needed a battery somewhere along the way and sold about 30000kms later without needing anything else, not even tyres.
Quite honestly, as transport for that use it was ideal. It had to live out and received several dinks and scrapes during her use then was traded on a new GMC truck (for farm visits as a new vet) after she graduated, for $7500.
She never even complained it was uncool, so that was a bonus!

Dealers and the car registered and bought under a business doesn’t count as owners I believe. As a dealer, he would have trader insurance so he can drive almost any cars he wishes with the owner’s permission and if he owns it. Some normal car insurances for individuals also has the “Drive other car” clause that allows you to drive any other car (excluding rental, lease and some other cars) with 3rd party cover only
      Hope that helped

@@Codzilla71 so the way I understand it is that if your other car is already insured but the insurance doesn’t include you, then you can drive it with your insurance with 3rd party cover
The pre-requisite here is that it will require the other car to have a valid insurance first, and to get the registered keeper’s permission to drive it
