That's interesting, great observations. I've always found the first two weeks to be the most difficult, and after that it becomes easier to build momentum and keep on going. Not that it just becomes easy, rather it becomes a lifestyle.

hey bob i am on day 100 right now. in week i am showering 4 or 5 times COLD the benefits are soo good. I am more discplinate more focused more menatl healthy i am so proud of me and so greatful to you bob that u make such a good content. I wish you all the best and people who are struggling on No FAp guys dont give up !! never!!! OVERCOME TRIGGERS the triggers are the main reason why people are relapsing. Excellent advice. Take it one day at a time. The only goal is to avoid PMO today. If you only worry about making it through today, you can go any length of time you want, especially like Bob says after day 30. So hang in there.

This is exactly what I was thinking now. It's day 14 for me and on my last attempt I relapsed on day 14 which preceded it on day 17 so I realized I always struggled in the third week because I'm moving forward too early.
my longest streak was 21 days when i started nofap but fell into binge relapse and second longest streak was 14 days

I have a question i am on my 20 day streak but yesterday i relapsed 2 time's in one day so much damage it caused to my streak or i have to start from zero?
Hey Bob; do you hear of guys complaining of fatigue and lack of energy who find these problems solved after they go without PMO for some time?
I’ve noticed an increased fatigue over the past few years and just a general lack of motivation and drive. Sleep is pretty unrefreshing.
I find that when I give up PMO for awhile I experience what I can only describe as withdrawal around weeks 3-4. Intense emotional lability, highly sexualized dreams, depression, etc.
This seems to be a trend and it’s occurred each time I’ve quit PMO for awhile. I’m interpreting this as a good thing because it would seem to indicate something is going on here…

Yeah. I think your brain is rewiring, so its good.
I see this with guys all the time. And it's often worst 2-4 weeks after quitting, but then it gets better and better. Way better than back when the guys were fapping a lot to porn. Of course there are a many other things that can cause lack of energy as well, but if porn was the cause, you can definitely expect to see an improvement after a few weeks.
@@ScandinavianBob Yeah for sure. Coincidentally I found out a year or two ago that I have mild sleep apnea lol, but apparently sleep apnea is complex and mild sleep apnea doesn't necessarily explain the kind of symptoms I've been experiencing (if I understand the literature correctly).
I got tonsillectomy last year (mine were huge) so for all I know my sleep apnea is resolved, but I haven't tested again so I have no idea. It would be so easy to just use that as an excuse to keep using PMO. Like, no way PMO can make me feel this way right? That's what the voice in my head tells me. It would be so easy.
But here I am roughly 40 days after putting it down once again and I've experienced the same fucking thing again. Around day 30 I got hit with a wave of depression, complete and total lack of drive (could barely get out of bed one day and I'm not exaggerating), and even damn near suicidal thoughts (moreso the whole "life is meaningless" kind of thing if you catch my drift).
It's fucking wild man. This has to mean something. At the same time, I feel like I want to use PMO to feel good, but I shouldn't need it to feel good! It's just crazy; it seems like the writing is on the wall and all I have to do is just stick with this long enough to hopefully see some light at the end of the tunnel.
I'm putting my trust in this process, and also the evidence that I've found in my own experimentation with this (in that every time I put it down, I experience what I can only describe as withdrawal). These are the things that I lean on when I go through the really tough days; I use that pain as fuel to keep going.
Thanks for the response Bob. Love your videos on this stuff. And I really wish you would post more success stories again; I really loved watching those and I find them very motivational. Why'd you stop?
@@Ivan_KV Man, I hope so. I've forgotten what it feels like to have that energy that I once had. I've been chasing dragons the past few years trying to figure this out and this is one thing that I haven't given enough of a chance to see how it might bear out. The most I've ever managed to go is around 60 days without PMO and that was sometime last year.
I just passed day 40 recently and I feel like things are slowly starting to trend back up after day 30 or so when I got hit with this massive depression and shit. Every now and then I feel like I get a little glimpse of what it might feel like to be "normal"; like today at work I found myself smiling while talking to someone, which isn't something that usually happens. In fact, for many years people have asked me "do you ever smile?"
I don't know if it's in my head or if something is actually slowly changing; all I know is that I shouldn't need PMO to feel good and I want to remove it from my life regardless of what the end result may be.
@@Luke-ih1oc, The success story videos are almost impossible to make because when guys send me emails sharing their success, it's not in "story form". Which makes it almost impossible to make a good video out of. But I'll see what I can do. I think many people would like to see more of them...
129 days so much energy
I'm on day 83 now. Making it to 90 from here should be easy, but I find myself still asking "Why am I doing this? Does it even matter?" What about day 91, and 92 etc. My longest streak was somewhere around 150 days when I succumbed to that "who cares" mentality. I came close to that last night too. Tonight is better, but tomorrow... who knows?

Mine is 7 days. I tried to keep going, but my balls seemed like it would explode. So a relapsed, now I'm on it again. But knowing I can do it give a great boost in motivation

Hello Bob, I have some weird question to ask. Ever since I've stopped masturbating I've been dreaming about guys (It happened 4 times already) I know this sounds weird that's why I'm concerned. Have Youd heard someone with the same problem? I've never had a gay dream until I started doing no fap( almost 4months of no fap). Everytime I wake Up i feel regret for dreaming about a guy. I know I'm not gay because throughout my day I'm attracted to woman.
Dreams can definitely be all over the place after quitting porn. Probably the brain processing stuff. It's very normal...
First I start no fap and I relapse after 58 days but I do it wrong way I guess then after relapse I face the caser effect and after a year failure and failure I started no fap on February 13 2023 and I relapse on 8 June 2023 almost 108 days and again facing the caser effect but I learnt many thing from this ...now I last watched porn in February after that I never watched porn till the date and m sure I will never watched it again ...after relapse I never disappointed now a days I just try and try and try ND I believe I will sure break my previous record wish me luck ...thank you bob

Day 34. Can't sleep anymore. Can someone give me some advice? Really have problems with sleeping. Do I've to go to the doc?
I can't give you advice with regards to medical stuff or seeing a doctor. But I can share my own experience. I also noticed that during longer nofap streaks I sometimes had trouble sleeping with all the extra energy. Over time it went away naturally as my body adjusted. But what I find works well is a combination of intense exercise to burn off the extra energy and meditation in the evening before sleep to calm the mind and body down. Having a set routine that you stick with before sleep is certainly very helpful, especially staying away from technology at least an hour before bedtime if not more. Hope that helps!
