    Let’s talk a bit about the dreaded second week of NoFap. Yes, the second week is no joke and for a lot of guys the second week can actually be the toughest period of the whole reboot.

    Exactly what I needed to hear. Thank you Bob! Yesterday night I relapsed after a 12 day streak. It was heartbreaking. Its like being possessed by something; going into autopilot mode. You cant control anything when that point reaches. Willpower doesn't help you, trust me.
    So I wrote down what the hell happened. Turns out it was my insomnia and the habit of using phone in bed. So I built strong defences this time. Phone on my working table when I sleep and only books are allowed in bed. Got myself a bedside lamp and a small phone just for alarms. Back on the horse and this time for the win! I hope this helps anyone!

    Started again and hitting week 2, my longest streak was 112 days, but that was a little to much in my opinion.

    The only problem for me and i think for many people is that we have sometimes “nothing to do”. Cause everytime i managed to reach 2 or 3 weeks nofap, (the longest time i reached is 4 week nofap), i only reached them because i was very busy. I was at a trip for 4 days then again at a big family meeting then again in a foreign land then again somewhere else, then when i was at home i was busy doing things i didnt have to before. But everytime after having free hours at home alone in my room, my brain just seeks for pleasure hormones and we all know the end of that..

      Actually I can relate so much! I’m having huge amount of energy and it feels crazy. Maybe it’s Autumn or planets aligned but I’m just feeling like I have to run marathons every day to exhaust myself and yes, free time is a dangerous time. Too much of it can lure you into the dragon pit so stay aware and stay strong man!

      Story of my life right now Today Is My 2 Weeks In .... I’m good all day but when night time comes and I’m chilling at the crib playing games or watching tv them urges kick in and from then till the time i wake up the next day I’m fighting 🎃

      i have social anxiety and no job and im on week 2 i wish i could find my passion but i just can't i don't think i will have the same benfits because i pretty much have no real life

    Stepping into 2 week tomorrow, again. Good timing here Bob! I have to say you’re right about second week and also every 7 days you mentioned in your several videos. Also, are you guys having increased energy (and urges) this time around? I don’t know if it’s Autumn time or specific period of life for me, but I feel like I’m having way more energy than I can use during the day and it’s hard to sleep and urges come and go quite frequently. I am happy to feel that way but about concerned since I’ve been swarmed with wet dreams during this month.
    But week 2, here we go. Thank you Bob! 🙌🏽❤️

      @Kedar Chande Hey man! Yeah, I posted my update a week ago or so as I relapsed after a two-week streak and I’m on anew streak now which is a bit over a week. I’ve lots things to say so it might be a long read. You have to realize one thing: when you’re u now and then, like keeping your energy for couple of days, them relapse, then couple of days then relapse again etc - it’s much easier to then start a great long term streak just because your reward system is kinda off. You get your pleasure often and so it’s not that demanding. But when you are a month off all the bad stuff and doing great - THEN, after just one relapse, you awaken the dragon again, so to speak cos now you feel the ‘hunger’ again. And next few days after your relapse gonna be hard cos you tasted the sweet dopamine after such absence and want more. This you should keep in mind, and to be mentally prepared to struggle first days.
      For me, personally, is always easier to start at the beginning or end of the month - not sure why, I guess that’s my thing and it’s sounds perfect, and when relapse happens during the mid month - I struggle. My kind trying to convince me to binge till it’s new month to start over, but this is the biggest mistake. Honestly, no matter how weak, imperfect, ugly or been unmotivated you feel about your Day 1 - we all want it to be perfect or good - remember this - every day is the best day to start or continue your journey. Period. So what I did is just ignored everything - I felt bad cos it was mid month and I felt great before - but I kept my focus away during the first days.
      Don’t negotiate with your mind, don’t listen to it, don’t go for your feelings or emotions - just go ugly and focus on anything: work, working our, cleaning your room/home, walks outside, reading, well, video games even, if they aren’t provocative for you, or a good movie (again, don’t watch anything trigger-ish for you. Any half naked girls in some stupid movie prolly won’t do you good. Watch something mindful, like Whiplash, Soul, some Marvel movies, The Matrix or my fav tv series - Mr Robot. Heavy stuff that will make you think.). I was in a strange mood yesterday and at th end of the day I called up my friend and we played some Diablo II together. May not be the best productive time, but hey, we had fun, and time passed and after we were done I was tired and went to sleep. Clean and nice.
      Another tip for first day or two - do something that will make you feel better, stack up your wins. No matter how small. I started my streak on September 1, it was day 1 and I literally woke up to a wet dream. Great start right? I took cold shower, mediated, read, did push ups and cleaned up my balcony. My friend called and asked me to go picked up some Legos (I collect them sometimes) and my first thought was to refuse cos I feel quite meh on Day 1, after relapse, you know, but I hesitated and then decided to go anyway. It was hard to face society and streets full of people during the evening but I did it and by the end of the day I didn’t even feel like it was day 1. I felt like I was just much further already. I was able to switch my mental focus and eventually it gave in. Do lil things, and especially uncomfortable ones, daily. Cold showers - even if it just 10 seconds. Still, your mind will think you’re worthy of your word and you will have some nice bonus to continue. Read for couple a minutes, meditate a bit. Do something. It’s important because it restes healthy dopamine levels. Watch Dr Andrew Huberman and Tom Bilyeu interview that came out yesterday - they talk about it.
      Another important point - know your triggers. For me, it’s loneliness, my ex girlfriend I still love and depression. It’s not the P I want to watch - it’s the side effect of felling so crappy that my mind starts to crawl back to easy and cheap dopamine. You prolly have something deeper that triggers you. Realize that, find it and use the knowledge. When I feel especially tempted I just Pauze and think about being pure hearted and all the good things you can enjoy while on retention - I already said that sometime ago but I started enjoying watching the sky and seeing beauty in it and when I would feel like give up and I would try to find something naturally beautiful. It won’t always work but I would think how literal couple of seconds questionable pleasure to random strangers who didn’t even like what they do would just make me feel SO much worst. I also learn to be vulnerable and open so I would imagine how hard it would be to share this with someone, with potential girlfriend that I still watch it. I mean it’s disgusting. Thoughts like that can win you time. But, if you relapsed, don’t, DONT go into self hate mode or extreme shame. It happened, so you just take pride in admitting it and you just own it. Yes you did it, it was a mistake but also an experience that will get you closer to better life. Sometimes what ruins a possibility to start a new streak immediately is being harsh with yourself. You hate yourself, feel sorry for yourself and then think that you may as well just ‘enjoy’ this ish for some more days or weeks. Boom. So, if relapsed, own it. The thing that you think about this not being right, for deciding to change, for bettering yourself and keeping your energy makes you already ahead of the game, and ahed of like 96-98% of people cos many don’t even think about it. Mistakes are beautiful, learn to love losing, embrace it, savor it, learn from it. I know it sounds counterintuitive, it without losing winning will never taste like wining. We need bad days, tragic days to enjoy the good and fantastic ones. So own your relapse and move on like a lion. And, it may sound very cheesy - but you also need to know your glorious purpose. Discover it, realize it, create it - but you have to have your string WHY to do any hard thing. It doesn’t matter what it is - it might be the silliest thing in the Universe for all, but if it will get you out of bed every morning just feeling grateful that you are alive and got another day - this is it. This is your glorious purpose!
      I know you can do it, man. If you’re here, seeking answers, you’re doing the right thing. It ain’t easy, and remember, that everything I said may not always work. Nit hung is guaranteed, but anything is possible. Literally. Everything is mental and your attitude is on you. Even urges are just signals in your brain. Nothing more. You got this. Stay strong and much love.

    day 17: more energy, confidence, motivation,stronger muscles and i feel just tiny bit happier. this is only day 17 so i dont expect every benefit to come at once, i am still addicted to phone though

    Usually it's the first week for me that's the worst. I get very angry and snap easily. The second week this usually calms down, but I get more cravings on the second week.

    Yeah first 2 weeks is toughest for me. Especially when something stressful happens. My electronic devices are locked and blocked fully without it would be very very hard for me to pull this off.

      Indeed, add a bit of stress to it and the relapse risk is overwhelmingly high during the first 2 weeks.

    My record is 55 w/ 3dging current streak is 3 days. Nofap is no joke. It will raise your libido like nothing other. One time I relapsed and then ran 11 miles right after. So I can’t say it gives me energy I was very confused, but I can say yoou will have God like libido, and increased focus for sure. AMAZING if you suffer from ADHD.

    I’m really struggling with nofap :(.... I started and the beginning of this month as before My addiction was pretty bad and I managed to go 3 days, 5 days , 1 week, (longest streaks) but since the 1 week streak I haven’t managed to go even just a DAY without it... I try everything I can possible do to stop but it’s not working at all... any tips?

    Hey Bob , I am on 3rd trying from last 6 months but I am getting in a release cycle but somehow I managed to go the day 3rd but the urges are very strong , I almost opened sites and started watching and after 15 minutes I somehow manage to get out the sites . Bob the question is why I am getting urges so hard can u tell me and the urges will become weaker ??

    Hi Bob, Thanks for the video, I think I’m in week 7 or 8, I honestly stopped counting after day 30. For the past couple of weeks I stopped taking cold showers, I don’t exercise as much, I have low energy and low motivation to do anything HOWEVER my urges are too weak and I find it easy to fight them, even when I’m presented with a triggered (a half naked girl in the street for example) i find it easy to look away, but sometimes I don’t feel the need to…. I don’t know what to feel about this , it’s good and bad at the same time
    What are your thoughts bob and everyone?

      Sounds like the flatline, or if not, just low dopamine. Try to get back to your normal amount of exercise, even if it sucks.

    bob, i was so pumped up last week! 6 days of near perfect rebooting, ended not very well. there's like this urge which pops up at 8-9 a.m. in the morning and peaks between 11-2. earlier this week i was able to surf it at 10a.m., going outside, etc. today, it peaked at 2 when everyone at my house takes a nap and i am confined to my relapse room only, damn. i relapsed. these urges go way above my surfing level if they peak. i ignore them if i am doing something really important and then they come back like this. it is impractical to get up every 5 minutes when the thought pops up! sure many if not all might have to deal with this, cause we all got work to do. Bob, what do you suggest?

      Alothou surfing away this thoughts is good possibility, i suggest you to try out changing them instead. When i let my fantasies root in my imagination, IT becomes a lot harder to stop a short Path to relapse. I do start thinking about future plans, or simply reminding myself about something sad from past that instantly breaks the mood. Stay strong!

      @@truelike thanks for the reply bro. I am to the point where I have tried all the good, common stuff(cold shower, meditation and all that). Now I think it completely comes down to trial and error, to see what works for me. On the bright side I am quite happy that looking back, I've gotten less and less obsessed with nofap and self development stuff and I am focusing more on my work, mindfulness and doIng things that make me happy.

      Try to make long streaks like 60 or 90 days but the rule is not to give up on your own!

    I keep on hearing from all nofap RUclipsrs that if your purpose of doing nofap is to attract women, it won't work. It only works if your purpose is different from attracting women. Is that true? So if I have everything except love, you mean it won't work for me?so, if I understand correctly, our semen has a brain of its own, it knows that my purpose is to want a wife, so it won't help me. Is that what I am understanding?
