Oh thank you. I am retired and was not needing the leave and return part. Hopefully I just did it right. Did not know about holding the hold and up button at the same time.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for showing how to shut when you leave and return off. I have Honeywell’s User Guide and it never gave a clue how to turn it off .
Hello. I have a question. My thermostat green screen was blinking at one point and the numbers kinda looked gibberish. For example the “8” turned into a backward “C”. The date was on point but the time was off… unless a couple of sticks were missing and made it look like a different number 🤔 any advice? I changed the batteries but it still does the same
The up arrow is the only issue where can not raise the temperature. Down arrow works though. Is this more likely thermostat or furnace issue? Thank you
I have a problem.. I changed the battery and now when I turn on my heat the heat doesn't come on whether it's on auto or run.. what's the problem..? Need help
I have chose the override for my A/C to run 24/7 @ 74 degrees and placed the fan on auto but I notice the unit stays running and doesnt cut on and off automatically. Please advise.
Hi HVAC Service Technician Talk, I'm using Electric or Heat Pump I've done all the settings and programming to my needs on cool and heat, my only doubt now is which settings do I leave it on "cool - off - Heat" so i can have both according to my programming? if you leave it on cool or heat will you only get one option? which option should i use to get cool and heat? Thanks in advance...
My therm doesn't show the current set point on the right side for heat or cool, so I don't know what set point I can hold to. When I go into the scheduling mode, I do see that part of the screen showing scheduled set points. Couldn't figure out what was going on. Can you please help? Thanks!
@@HVACServiceTechnicianTalk Thanks for the reply. The strange part is that when I set schedules, I know those LEDs/Pixels on the screen are working fine.
@@HVACServiceTechnicianTalk Ha, I finally figured it out. The slider button for cool/off/heat has connection problems on the board. I wiggled the button again and again and eventually the set point number showed up on the right side of the screen and I was able to do hold. The reason it was not showing up was because the thermostat thought the mode was still off even though the slider was at a different position. Well, time for a new thermostat.
I prefer no setting, just put my temp on the right to 70, hold it, and I put on the heat manually, off to on, later, back to off....but when I press the button going up, it's staying at 68 degrees....not sure what to do...November 28, 2023 Tia
How do I control the fan function that circulates air through out the house. Right now even with the unit in the off position the fan will automatically run for 10min and shut off 20min all the time all day long. Can this be changed with the Honeywell 4000?
My thermostat does not show the “set to temp “ on the right side of my screen. I only see the inside temp and the time. And when I set the temp for the schedule it says “cool” not heat! I don’t know how to change it. If I click the up arrow to raise the temperature it does nothing, so frustrating!
when i set the temp and press hold at say 70 degrees the furnace comes on and then shuts off when it gets to 70. but then it comes back on while the temp in the house is still 70.it does this continuously on and off about every 5min. without the house temp actually changing. should the controller bethis sensitive . thanks
Hi, I need help with this exact thermostat. I’ll have it set at a temperature right.. but the temp will drop… and the furnace won’t kick on…. What is the problem??
A question for you. I have a thermostat almost like this one. Furnace comes on , starts to run for about a minute then shuts off. I turn the thermostat off for a minute then back on and sometimes it works all day and like today not. Is it the furnace? Help please before I call the furnace man.
I have the same termometer at home . The problem is the heat is not working but the fan is works . I hanged the battery but still the same problem . What should I do bro 🤔
Oh, thank you, thank you. Been watching videos trying to bypass the leave and return. You are the only one that showed it. Thumbs up
Glad I could help

Holding the hold and up button at the same time will that lock it in for the temp you want it set at and not continually run?? 1:50 pm

Thank you so much for taking the time, this was very informative and easy to understand. I truly appreciate it. God Bless you😊 have a wonderful day.
Glad it helped

Same question nobody helps

Sounds like you might have a defective Thermostat.
How do you turn off the “recovery” setting? Thanks
Should be able to hit the run button and it should go back to normal settings.
How can I release the program on it? By accident, I set up program, now I don't want it anymore. Thanks.
Great video! It help me! Thanks!
Glad it helped!
I have a problem.. I changed the battery and now when I turn on my heat the heat doesn't come on whether it's on auto or run.. what's the problem..? Need help
Might be an issue with your actual furnace. Make sure all the pins lined up correctly at the Thermostat when you put it back on.
I have chose the override for my A/C to run 24/7 @ 74 degrees and placed the fan on auto but I notice the unit stays running and doesnt cut on and off automatically. Please advise.
You rock thanks for this sir !
Thank you. Glad it helped

Basically, set on heat in the winter and cool in the summer.

Sounds like your display screen may have gone bad on your Thermostat.

Hi, recovery is showing on the screen and the temperature in the morning is going on about an hour before. Can you help?
It may be turning on an hour early so you reach your set point by the time you have it scheduled.
Thank you so much this video has been a BIG help!!
Glad it helped!

Make sure your cool setting is set higher. It might be locking it out from going higher. I have seen this a few times
For AC, the switch on the inside. Gas & oil or electricity & heat pump?
How do I control the fan function that circulates air through out the house. Right now even with the unit in the off position the fan will automatically run for 10min and shut off 20min all the time all day long. Can this be changed with the Honeywell 4000?
Possibly... You could have an an issue with your control board or your current thermostat
When you pop the ac off what the button on the bottom used for that has the option gas or electric
Its for if you have gas or electric furnace.
I change the Batteries in my Honeywell thermostat without out turning it off and now it’s not reaching heat. Did I just ruin my thermostat??
Possibly. More than likely something is going on with your furnace. What you did shouldnt have done any damage though.

You should be able to put it in heat mode to program the heat side of it.

Hard to I say without seeing it. Every 5 min does seem pretty excessive. Might be worth having an HVAC company come look at it.
Is it possible, on the Honeywell PRO TH411OD, to turn Adaptive Intelligent Recovery OFF?
How do you take the thermostat off sleep mode
Should be able to hit the hold button to bypass the programming
How do you take off the recovery ?
Should be able to hit the Run button.
Now that’s it hot ; I’m over it 🙏
I can't adjust the temp with the up or down buttons
Could be a bad Thermostat
Hi, I need help with this exact thermostat.
I’ll have it set at a temperature right.. but the temp will drop… and the furnace won’t kick on…. What is the problem??
Sounds like the furnace itself is failing on you and not the Thermostat
How to reset to factory settings, I mean , I don’t want any temperature settings
Yes same

Same!

Sounds like a furnace issue. I would call your local HVAC shop to troubleshoot the furnace.
How do I erase the schedule so that it doesn’t start?
Hitting the hold button will bypass the schedule
is there a reset button or a way to reset?
Same concern
How do I set it back to farinhiet from celcius
Now I have this model, but my ****ing dumb AC keeps running past the set holding temp. FYI I live in the skin cancer filled oven known as Arizona
Could be a bad Thermostat or contactor welded close on outdoor unit
I replaced the battery and nothing work
How to. Remove the temporary mode on a. 4000 thermostat
Try hitting the Run button
I have the temp. set at hold 74 but everytime it goes to 78, the ac won’t turn on, ac guy came and checked, it was a program issue, now its again bad
Might need to replace the thermostat if it keeps acting up.
How do I get it off celcius
How do I wipe out all auto programs and just use manual function
Thanks
Should be able to hit the hold button and it will bypass the program
How to turn the heat off it is now on
Why does mine turn on every 10 minutes for 10 minutes how do I stop that?
Might be something in your programing. You could try hitting the hold button to bypass any programing.
I think my cool on don't work it keeps blinking
If it keeps blinking something could definitely be going on with the system or the thermostat.
Electric when out how restart
I have the same termometer at home . The problem is the heat is not working but the fan is works . I hanged the battery but still the same problem . What should I do bro 🤔
