    On newer Ford vehicles, the amber light on the start button should turn green, when you press the brake or clutch pedal.

    You should be able to see brake switch activation in live data. Great suggestion tho for those without a scan tool or who are stuck on the side of the road needing to get to a workshop. 👍😊

    Thank you for the info, would this problem with the break switch show up on a scan?

      Thank you, It didn't show up on any scan, but you could use live data on your scan tool to see if brake pedal activation on/off is getting signal

      I would suspect on newer CX-5's it would since this this happen to me a few days ago. Our 2019 CX-5 with 59k miles began to show random dashboard errors like SBS Failure, Front SBS Failure, TCS/DCS light came on, Front camera sensor failure or the Keyfob losing juice, but shutting the car down, those errors went away. However, when these errors showed up again, we took our Mazda to a local auto parts store, not letting them shut down our Mazda they scanned the CX-5 and the main culprit for the random errors went to Break switch, on the scan it says 'C0040-64 Brake Pedal Switch A - Signal Plausibility Failure'.

    So i'm having this exact issue with my 2014 Mazda CX-5 but after a lot of fighting the car will eventually turn on and hit me with a SCBS Message and the Tire Pressure Message. my tires are all just fine, Would fixing the brake light switch resolve this issue with the SCBS or is that another problem that just happens to be going on at the same time kind of at my wits end trying to figure it out before i fork over money i don't have to some expensive mechanic when its hard to move the car to begin with, appreciate any help!

    My parents bought me a mazda when i hit a deer with my first car and i will absolutely never ever buy another one. Words cannot describe my hate for this brand or the unreliability of my car or fobs. What i wouldnt give for a physical key and a car that i know will start every time

    • @Tag23456
      @Tag23456 Месяц назад +1

      Most come with a physical key inside of the key fob. Newer models you have to take the back off. Older models you pull a trigger on the back and it comes out.

      🤣
      Test don't guess. Patience is a trait that is getting lost more and more. From a Technicians point of view this is terrible advise. If all we need is a bit more time to confirm a fault, it is by far the best way.
      There are many other possibilities for no start faults, so assuming every Mazda will be the same could be very foolish for some.
      Thanks for watching and I am happy the video was able to help you out 👌🙏💪

      I struggled to get hold of that switch, my car is manual, so they put a metal sheet that make access to the switch to very difficult
