No the general 3 rule your talking about is fuel spark and Air what is needed to make a gas engine run. Obviously air is pretty self explanatory. Fuel and spark issues can branch out to more sub-issues so to say. Like no spark could be plugs wires or electrical issues. And fuel branches off too.
My Mazda Tribute, 2003, 4 cylinder, has a problem of cutting off and stop while driving. This happens almost at any speed but almost sure to happen when you slow down. We tried to change the fuel pump, spark plugs, engine oil, oil filter, air filter and some relays but the problem did not go away! What could be the problem? Please help! I live in a remote part of Zambia and have no easy access to good garages and mostly it's guess work we do in order to try and fix the problem! Any suggestions please!

So when you pulled out the fuse for fuel injector, I just realized that is the fuse that is missing in my friend’s car,that I explained in my first comment. Why the car runs with the injector fuse missing?

My problem was no spark no fuel injection no voltage to crank and cam sensors Fuses are ok. i did jumper wire with fuse ignition on to lambda 1 heating circuit where was also Not power it was coming tru ecu so probably ecu broken
Awesome work. I need some help with my 2011 Mazda (6) Atenza. While driving the car it was shut down with just the ignition lights remaining. I tried to restart the car but it only cranks. After several checks we found out there is no gas feeding into the engine and no sparks from the coil packs either. We changer 3 crank sensors as it was thought to be the problem, but after the 3rd change we decided to looking the issue deeper. We got the car system scanned but nothing was detected except for a code P0661 which was sometging about the manifold sensor. We checked all fuses inside the car and under the hood. All fuses were ok, but we never checked the relays. Can a bad relay make the brain not tell the system to inject the fuel and fire the sparks? There is no sparks from none of the coil packs and the test from the crank sensor connector showed that cables are ok. I even got the computer reprogrammed to see if it was change the status as there is a red flashing 'lock and car' icon in my dash, which someone said the car may have shut down because of this. Any help? No one seem to be able to rectify the problem
@@cedanecox5733 been having the same symptoms on my moms vehicle. i got it going after replacing the crank sensor now its doing the same. this is what i was thinking what the issue is. Wasnt a 100% sure it might be the wiring looks like im going to have to do some continuity test. thanks glad your issue was resolved. safe travels
@@alfredozertuche784 I hope you get this resolved. The insulator was firmly fitted in the connector with the wiring broken so don't be fooled; give it a little pull and if it's broken it will be released easily.
My Mazda 5, built in 2001, was driving normally and suddenly it stopped gasping. I had to stop and wanted to restart the car but the only noises came out like in the video. I read the error code P0341 with the OBD reader and it stands for camshaft position sensor. I swapped that out too but still nothing. does anyone have any ideas.
Hmm... I will try a new relay, however with my Mazda 6 I think I need a new throttle body When I force the "butterfly" open the car will start, but run weird because it can not auto adjust when it is stuck in one position...
Yeah, I’d say the motor in the throttle body actuator went bad. Can’t you get just the actuator? Or it’s the pcm not controlling it anymore.. bad circuit
I have 03 Protege 2.0 that cranks but no start I’m unable to communicate with the computer with my scan tool I’ve also tried a different computer and got the same thing hope you can give me an idea of what I can check? Thanks
Put it in neutral...it should Start The shifter cable lever at the transmission is probably rusted/not moving properly causing shifter position misalignment
I replaced my harmonic balancer without finding top dead center first. 😅😅😢 is it possible to get the timing on my motor back correct without having to open up the whole motor?
Jose Torres thanks I figured it out the teeeth on the crank shaft was bent so the sensor was not send getting a correct reading that’s why car was not starting

I would like a comment or an idea about what could possibly be wrong when the car (Mazda CX7) starts ie. fires on all four but then immediately cuts out. There was nothing wrong when last used and then this. I have checked the fuses but I don't have a spare relay to swap for one of the others so there it stops.
@@jpcyclistangpinoy2989 Yeah, it was a bad battery. I did the chris fix multimeter test and was dropping below 10V when cranking, suggesting that the battery was almost dead. Got a new battery and started it in -25 degrees this morning.
@@jpcyclistangpinoy2989 Sounds like you've got some indepth troubleshooting ahead of you. Spark plugs and starter are what I'd check next, but I'm definitely not a professional...

Love your channel but 3 things can cause a no start. No fuel, no spark, and also the 3rd is bad ignition timing.
And how do you fix that
Compression, including valve timing.

Sounds like the crankshaft position sensor is going out.

@@therealboss14gaming87 yes! It was the crank sensor. One of the wires was broken in the insulator at the neck of the crank sensor connector.

thats the knock sensor shutting down the engine do to knocking , its sounds like you need a engine
