amazing work, explosions look impactful both visually and from sound perspective, however may i suggest to make some of the tank turret or defensive turret more unique design , maybe give them 3 barrels, or rail gun, and defensive turrets which look like the battleship turrets back in the day with 3 barrels, these are so cool as defensive turrets

Hi and thx for the feedback and comment. I am happy to help both gamers find games, and developers reach out to more gamers :) Hope you will wishlist this game!
Oh man this game looks incredible, so many quality of life systems and oh my god is that support cannon cool, even the recycling mechanic is cool and unique. I've been quite disapointed with RTS lately and i don't want my hopes to be too high but this looks like it might become something. The fact that they went with modern-ish war but FINALLY someone decided to drop some more futuristic stuff instead of going all futuristic or all industrial. The only thing i'm scared of is that, i'm a big singleplayer fan, but will it have enough content to be enjoyable to replay ? I hope units don't just end up being "medium tank-heavy tank-light tank", but have either tiers between them or have lots of different ones (Guns going from 20mm to 120mm for example), for progression through a game and not just "You have every units almost instantly, now fight (which is kind of the case in Silica for example, it goes way too fast with too few units.) I'd love to see screens of machine guns on units and then a heavy tank comes out of the fog and the only thing you can do is retreat because of it's armor for example. Though I don't know how the game functions really yet I will go straight away look at the other videos for this game haha.
Thank you for your comment and your interest. There will be pre-made missions that play out in a very linear fashion. The skirmish mode, however, is very dynamic. The course of a mission is completely unpredictable and can last several hours. My next video will show such a skirmish mission.
Hello and thank you kindly for sharing your thoughts on this game. There is indeed a lot of potential for gameplay like you have described there and I hope the developer will be able to oblige with more singleplayer content. The current units are only a part of the full rooster of units so more will be shown in future videos.
7:00 DAMN RIGHT let me dictate my game play. Its my game and if i want to "cheat" let me. On the games that do allow it i love the ability to tweak gameplay to my taste and that often means adjusting or "cheating" some mechanics. Not always but sometimes and allowing the player the option to do this is the best way. This is not a olympic sport. Its my Saturday afternoon.
This man is clearly is one of the most passionate game developer out there. And am glad to see that the game is getting better and better with evey day passes and also the autonomy the developer is providing for the players to enjoy.
Hi and thank you for those kinds words! I am sure the developer appreciates reading them. What are you playing these days? Also, make sure to wishlist this one on Steam!
It sure does! Thank you for sharing your impressions of it! BTW you can find more similar games like this one on my playlist here: ruclips.net/p/PLRYGjguAn0CFpLi_MlTb6PIgLkXQM632Y
I'm glad that developer decide to make options on "fuel and ammo", players can themselves decide what RTS want to play. That "support cannon" is a bit weird idae for me. Long time ago I play RTS called Earth 2150, in that game ammo for units was delivered by "helicopters". Here a similar idea could also be used, helicopters could directly deliver ammo/fuel or deliver a container with supplies to a designated location. And when it comes to repairing and recycling, an engineering vehicle would be perfect for this purpose. I will definitely have my eye on this game.
Thank you for your comment. I actually had support trucks in the first version, but this idea was not very popular and I myself was not really convinced by it. So I rebuilt everything to a new system... the support cannon. I personally like this variant of support and it is unique and works well. There is not that much difference between containers and PODs, in my opinion 😉
Hello and thank you very much for sharing your thoughts on this game and its features. I know some things look strange, but they will probably feel different especially once you actually play it :)
@@andreassteinhorst9426 Support trucks weren't popular? interesting. Well, the "support cannon" is definitely a unique idea. Good luck with making the game.
Thank you for the video. It looks better and better. I can't think of an RTS with units being crippled by damage but I feel like I've see that feature somewhere before, probably not as developped though. More like units limping or being slowed down by damage. Overall, the game seems to have a lot features and gimmicks which can be fun but it remains to be seen how the AI is going to use all that, how pathfinding is going to work, etc. The game has certainly a lot of features to be hyped about but when the devs team is pretty small, it's a lot to tackle and a lot could go wrong with AI. The game is really beautiful and atmospheric, a cinematic view is not something I use a lot because there are always things to manage so it's again very gimmicky but to take videos and other screenshots to hype other people, it's definitely another strong point. Nonetheless, I'm very happy to see more and more RTS on the scene, not sure the RTS golden era will ever come back but we get some very interesting titles. On another subject, Blizzard stealth dropped Warcraft 1 and 2 with an update to Warcraft 3 reforged but the result really feels like AI was used with little to no respect with original art, more features could have been added to improve the experience too. There's a big problem with Blizzard management.
Hello and thanks for sharing so much of your first impressions of the game. I am sure the developer will appreciate reading this as much as I have. I do agree some things look like gimmicks and will depend on the AI are they worth using. I saw the upgrades to Warcraft 1 and 2 but by the look of them, very limited to the visuals.
@@perafilozof Jumping for joy at the announcement of a new Battlechest for Warcraft 1,2 and 3, I fell for it and purchased it... I'm really disappointed so little work was done and AI was used to attract the nostalgia of players like me. I hope hyperwar will do great, it seems really interesting but I can picture the devs having a hard time with AI using formation, the canon resupply and planting mines... Temporary mines is not a good thing to do, they should modify this. They also should create a detailed and advanced tutorial with all their features like the buildings rally points and what is their idea of using it (Unless you can queue and create x unit to rally on 1 and x to rally 2, etc. which in that case could be useful like rallying on 1 to prepare an attack and once I launch the attack, I automatically produce units to rally on 2 to defend the base or prepare for the next attack) When you're a small team trying to introduce new mechanics which seems fun and useful, the AI often falls short (we've seen that quite a few time already ending in a bad review bombing)
Thank you for your detailed comment. The AI is always a problem somehow, at least that's how I feel 😉 You can only influence the pathfinding to a limited extent, especially if you use the built-in options. This is indeed a problem if the basis is a complex elevation model, including many objects. This could be the reason why some RTS titles simply use flat terrain. At the moment I am struggling with exactly these problems, that AI gets stuck in trees or stones... sometimes. Let's see if I can fix this problem at all. But if I had to choose between flat terrain with functioning pathfinding, and complex terrain, with AI units sometimes getting stuck, I would always choose the second option ;-)
@@andreassteinhorst9426 This is really bold choice ! Remember that nothing frustrates a player more than units getting stuck on terrain. Take your time to perfect the AI because if you don't do it well, many players will complain about it and won't recommend the game with a bad review. I'm 42 and since Dune, people have been complaining about AI. Worst thing you could do is what most devs did for other RTS, since they can't fix the AI, they give it cheats. Never goes well with players. I wish you the best of luck with the game and wish it a lot of success when it will be ready :)
I added this game on my Steam wish list on the 29/10. I think this is the day it became available on Steam to do so. I can't wait for this game. RTS is by far my favourite genre.
Oh wow this looks pretty incredible not got really invested in an rts since supreme commander, just downloaded the steam app on my phone to wishlist it 🤣
Hello and thank you for sharing that with us. I am super happy to read that players are so enthusiastic about this game. What are you playing these days?
The modern era strategy game that left the biggest impression on me and that I still play is Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hours, there are a lot of really cool Mods like ShockWave, Rise Of The Reds, Contra to name a few that I play. The only negative point is that the engine is aging and is no longer necessarily adapted for more customization and there are also limitations like the number of players or units that can seriously affect or crash the game. If there was a sandbox game that could recreate this game, that would be more than enough for me.
Thank you for your comment, which I can completely understand. Unfortunately, Hyperwar is not this sandbox game :( It follows its own approaches and ideas, which initially correspond to my personal preferences. Hyperwar is only very distantly related to C&C (Generals). It is its own game concept. That is a big risk for success, but nothing ventured, nothing gained 😉
да, эта игра отстает от графика, и ее продвижение вперед занимает целую вечность. Разработчик слишком много работает в одиночку и просто переносит дату релиза из года в год.
You know what this vaguely reminds me of for some reason? Elements of War. An old MMORTT that went to gamigo (and thus was destined for death) and had super units that could cause a variety of natural disasters as attacks. The only three I remember was creating a tornado, a super storm, and causing an earthquake. I think a volcanic eruption was planned, but nobody played the game.
Hi and thank you for mentioning that one. There are a few similar looks of units now that you mention it, at least according to my very faded out memory of that game. Do share your thoughts on the new gameplay features and elements and let me and the developer know what you think of it. If you haven't wishlist it yet, you know what to do!

@@andreassteinhorst9426 why is it that every time I write the most stupid comments ever, everyone responds to them.. hahaha. I love the base-building-walls and turrets look so cool. The projectile and missile effects are realistic and immersive too! The only thing that's a bit odd is the unit rotation. It’s not smooth; one moment they’re looking at 290 degrees, and the next second, they’re at 100 degrees.
Thank you very much. Mod support is not on my list at the moment. It's my very first game and it's already a challenge for me without this feature. I hope you understand.
Broken Arrow and Factorio just decided to have a baby. Also, ever planning to add air units, air defemse, naval battles, more logistics functions, etc? Looking forward to this game.
Haha, what a description! Thank you for the comment. Air units are in the game, you can see them in the other video you have commented on. Naval battles probably not. More logistics? We will see.
Would be wonderful if this game could include a "weapon range" and "weapon damage" config slider... you can imagine doing a 1v1 on the largest map, with those sliders cranked up, would give it a pseudo-realistic modern warfare feel!
Good idea there. Thank you for sharing it with us all in the comments! What are you playing right now? Also, hope you will wishlist this game on Steam.
Thank you for your comment. When you write "1v1" I think you mean a multiplayer match in this context? I'm sorry. There are currently no plans for a multiplayer mode. It may come later.
This looks cool and the developer did a great job with it now I wonder how it would look with air and navy vehicles and infantry it would make a great game better
That would make it complete but it would also require a massive increase in the work load for a lone developer. Make sure to wishlist Hyperwar on Steam!
@@perafilozof you probably right but if the developer somehow manages to do it then the developer is a one person studio and is a better developer than most triple a studio
I think so too. A custom experience for different players who have different likes is a major plus in my book. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this game. Make sure to wishlist it on Steam!
Thank you very much for your comment. Of course, implementing options for different playing styles always involves some effort. But perhaps this extra effort can be worth it.
I like that is sooooo complex only if you need it and also can be soooo simple by making everything customizable! Like i love c&c RTS style fast pace and I don't wanna deal with fuel and ammo in my tanks. Then this is now optional...but i like how this can turn the battle into a more realistic phase and would like to enjoy so i can do with the canon, but if i don't want to micro but still love the ammo fuel idea been there just "easier"... Boom he gives. Us the "auto" mode when we want it to do the micro job for us and again customize it! ❤ Just freaking fantastic 😍

THX 😊There will be extensive skirmish settings. Every battle will be different, even with the exact same settings. What settings for a skirmish game would be important to you?
@@andreassteinhorst9426 I think creating for example 50 skirmish missions from easy to hard and putting them on a map that player can see how much s/he progressed would be great
@@mazyar2581 Maybe you misunderstood the system a little. A skirmish game always starts with an empty map. So there are no pre-made missions with fixed positions for you and your opponents. Starting from the starting position that you choose at the beginning (10 randomly generated positions are available to choose from), the positions of the enemy bases are then generated (1-3). All metal spots on the map are regenerated and reassigned (metal value) every time you restart, etc. But maybe I misunderstood your comment 😉

Unfortunately, it is exactly as Perafilozof writes. Depending on the success, I can imagine implementing a multiplayer mode later, if my skills allow it :(
This is one of the most promising RTS games out there. Dunno if i like the system that you have to "refill" your defenses manually. Too much micro isn't a good thing most of the time. Atleast some of the complexity and micro is optional. There should be a shortcut for the support gun(s) on the HUD, to drop pods without going back to your base and select a support gun, depends how good the auto mode is. Still, I am so hyped for Hyperwar. This game reminds me of the Earth series (especially the UI) and Thandor.
@andreassteinhorst9426 I was just meaning if you have played gates of hell ostfront, each unit has abilities, such as digging foxholes, crouch prone etc, leaders have binoculars to look into fog of war, certain unit fire flares to call in artillery etc. Medics can build tents, etc etc I like that each unit has an inventory and most units have certain functions. The inventory is cool because if a soldier can't build foxhole he can just pick up a shovel from a dead soldier and now he can. I'm just saying, it adds to the immersion when they have their own identity, abilities and inventory for ammo grenades items etc.
This does look good Kind of like CnC meets elements of SupCom? Definitely looks to be the only RTS pushing teh Classic CnC formula forward all the other offerings on that specific sub-genre seems to be a reskin, this looks more like innovation
Hi and thank you for sharing your impressions of the game. That is what I think too, so far. haven't played it myself yet. What are you playing these days?
Thank you for your comment. You're right, I don't want to make a clone of any game. But of course that's a bit of a risk, because people automatically ask for these classic features like super weapons, infantry, tank rush and so on, but Hyperwar will be different.
Wow that more modern moving and range view control. But it be hard multitask. Range view should be custom by some basic preset. Like 180, 90 views. As well point direction but I guess it too much right? It need visual since it RTS situations may change.
Hello and thank you for sharing your impressions of this gameplay. I agree there is a lot to do, but it depends on everything else that is going on and the amount of automatization the developer implements.
Hehe, beta is long in coming my friend! But there are half a dozen RTS games having betas, playtests or demos right now. Keep an eye on my channel to learn more.
I hope they make a good story, most games I've played the story is always lacking more of a challenging aspect. I wouldn't mind the first three missions or two missions to be easy to understand the controls. And then after that they really crank up the difficulty. Then the last mission they make it so difficult it's more about strategy instead of overwhelming numbers. Either way it is game looks really amazing and I am happy on what this group is doing on the walls and turrets and units. I will definitely be putting this on my list of games to purchase. Can't wait for this to come out
Hello and thank you for sharing your impressions and thoughts about this game. I hope so too as a good story and interesting campaign missions are what makes players keep coming back to such a game. What are you playing right now?
Many thanks for your comment. This is going to be a real challenge for me. I can't give a clear statement at the moment, in terms of story etc. But hey, maybe there are people in the community who can help. Who knows. Apart from that, I can imagine that the tutorial itself is very extensive in order to explain all the mechanics in a coherent manner.
@@perafilozof command and conquer tiberium war, supreme Commander forged alliance, Rome Total war 2, diplomacy is not an option, rift breaker and many other games I just can't list them all.

If the dev wanted to go for a more realistic look, sure. But for gameplay, I think these are fine. Thank you for sharing your thoughts about this game!
Maybe you're right and I make the projectiles "a little" faster, but not 800% ;-) Hyperwar is not a simulation and not a realistic project. It is and remains a "simple" game with the best possible fun factor. But we all know that fun is an individual definition 😉
@@andreassteinhorst9426 I see what you mean. It was realistic enough that my eye for tanking got a little interested, but if more shells flying through the air is your goal I can get behind that too.
Hopefully optimization is really great for this game, as most Unreal games have that kind of problem. And i don't know if its already present but terrain deformation would be really great and might add gameplay function like in CoH does, bigger explosion makes bigger hole on the ground.
Thank you for your comment. There will be no terrain deformation, sorry. Maybe it's true that the Unreal Engine isn't optimal for RTS games. I can't judge that myself, as I don't have a direct comparison. The good thing is that RTS games don't necessarily need high frame rates like FPS games, for example. That's at least my impression. But as it is, there are definitely people who think that everything runs much better with 120 fps. You can do that with graphics from the 90s. But that's exactly what I don't want.
@andreassteinhorst9426 which I understand why there would be no deformation as sometimes that leads to more complications and or optimization but nevertheless the game is looking good, already wishlist it. Good luck!
Hehe, I can totally get that! Do share your thoughts on the new gameplay features and elements and let me and the developer know what you think of it. If you haven't wishlist it yet, you know what to do!
Will the ammo and fuel settings scale any in-game mission rewards or XP for difficulty level? Greater complexity is often used as a component of higher difficulty levels. Not a must-have, just curious if the game dev wants to make this a consequence-free player choice or wants to incentivize players to try harder difficulty settings.
Thank you for your comment 😊 I actually haven't thought about mission rewards or XP in the game yet. All skirmish settings currently only serve to adjust the general level of difficulty and to adapt to your own playing style. Deactivating ammo and fuel, for example, makes the beginning of the mission a little more difficult, but as it progresses it becomes easier because it is less complex. The game speed also increases somewhat.
This title is dependent on pace of play so have to assume the ai is slow comprehensive if a tank rusher how do u use all the details? I guess it all depends on the behavior of the oppo
Can we get full controller support please. More and more PC gamers just use controllers, especially that Steam Deck and *Handheld* gaming PCs growing in popularity.
Did you play bak in the day, Cold War Crisis mod for ZH ? It did look good and had no fantasy units. How you would be able to play with all that graphical invisibility due to those graphics that remind of UE5 I wonder, unless the game played from far away where you really only see unit dots. Usually so-called tactical games had good graphics, Im reminded of Soldiers of Anarchy, the engine turbine startup on helos was great. For some conventional reason, every RTS game had to have fantasy units. Toxin tractors, cyborgs or similar nonsense.
Graphics quality is a factor completely disconnected to overall game quality, as long as it doesn’t negatively impact the performance. it’s nevertheless a very neat feature which helps to increase fascination and long time motivation. So I don’t really see any misconception here. There are a lot of bad rts games and their problem isn’t at all their good or bad graphics…
Depends. But if you look at modders, what do they do? Most of them improve the graphics quality of the game and people enjoy those mods. So there is definitely a need for such upgrades.
@@Trader8694 When the time is right, I will first create an internal Discord server so that all participating Alpha/Beta testers can communicate there. Maybe you can become part of the test team. Unfortunately, I cannot say when that time will come. Thank you for your support.
The issue I see with all these adjustment details is that u cant play the game. The repair bay in CnC initially was cool but became useless later in game. Some of this is cool but also gives off paralysis by analysis. Like how do u play 32 mins in? Too many steps to do bro
This is indeed something I have been looking into myself and will be sending my ideas to the developer about how to keep these elements but make them more automated to help the player during end game.

The lack of multiplayer is a huge let down I was excited about the game till I heard that. There’s no modern military RTS out there and was looking forward to playing this game until that news
Hi and thanks for sharing your thoughts on this game. I know no MP is a problem but if the game is successful the dev can spend the time and money to work on it
Moving buildings feels like a cheat.. you could always move an attacked building and place it somewhere safe. It doesn't feel right. Moving should at least cost some time. And probably resources.
Thank you for your comment. You can only relocate buildings or guns if the building or gun has 100% health. This means that you first have to repair it (if damaged) in order to relocate it. After that, it is not immediately available at the new location, but has to be rebuilt there. If it is an energy building, for example, the produced energy will be lost for that time. I could also possibly take the dismantling phase into account. That is not the case at the moment ;-)
I know what you mean by this. It is something I feel like is a unique challenge when working with the Unreal Engine because it simulates the real world a bit too realistically.
Personally, I don't like games that are completely over-colored or use cartoon-like colors. But that's just my opinion ;-) In Hyperwar you can set the colors for the UI, adjust the colors of the camo, but also the color intensity overall. Maybe that helps a little.
Constant camera moovement when stationary ? Or is that supposed to be cinematic ? I didnt see airfields. That EU flag lol. Fantasy. Looks very much like Supcom, meaning not all bad, I wonder if the author played Soldiers of Anarchy, it seems something like that in depth, that gfx looks, I hope not UE5, because that runs bad. Smoke from inside the block when hit was rather underwhelming. Such massive concentrated base is a no go IRL.Tank ranges can be up to, above 10 km when provided with outside guidance. When you have so much simulation, why are unit ranges, presumably map sizes so small ? Every other game looks the same plays the same. Play for 5 days max, throw away. I dont see this as something different. How about you throw away gfx and think about making the game interesting and fun to play ? Mind you I liked SoA I also liked the theme, the units. Not effin fantasy. I did like 2142 even if it was , because it was much a reskin of bf 2. How to not make your game not a waste of time. I guess Im tired of most games because one is reskin of another, so there is no variety. BAR is in many ways still inferior to SupCom FA in UI and tactical missile defense. WHere ar eplanes, proper airfields, where are games that makes helicopters refill, refuel without unlimited stuff - your game does that somewhat, but if planes are like CnC3 no airfield, just VTOL, yea lol. That was lazy, when CCG/ZH had it. Supcom also all VTOL, so lazy too. So, overall, not all bad, I mean, some things are different from usual, but try to think outside the usual box.
Hi and thank you kindly for sharing all these thoughts and ideas with us all in the comments. You can see the helicopters in action in my previous videos of this game : ruclips.net/video/Sb63TFbxmqY/видео.html As for your other comments, I think BAR's UI and many, many command and control options surpass SupCom by a large margin. I am not sure why would you bring up real life ranges in a game which naturally can't follow all real life rules?
@@perafilozof Because ranges of engagement look like it was early 1939 or even up to say 1945. There are thermals, radars from space as well. And there are antisatellite means as well. SupCom FA has build queue from which you can remove queued stuff, in BAR, nothing such is clickable btw. With unit ranges that are strictly within visual range, direct fire range from say T-34/85 was 800 meters. That rose in say T-90A (2004)to some 3300m, but indirect fire as arty it can reach further. What that means, main guns increased in range, but HMG, like DShK/50 cal of WW2 effective range was say 600 m. It didnt get more potent in the meantime. When main guns of tanks at into melee like its Kursk because their guns arent effective enough to deal damage at range, or their real DPS being enough that it could not prevent other side from closing in. So, what Im writing, is that the gameplay, engagement ranges in RTS games depict at best WW2, with fancy graphics. Very short engagement ranges means fast blobs will be promoted.Something like say SC2, because AoE units are too weak, and most units do only single-target damage. Amassing units surely makes sense, but youll be spotted and even some big missile might be worth taking a look at your group. So, unit ranges are important not for the sake of some weirdo realism, but actual gameplay, so 100 tanks blob is not something that should win if the other side manages to use AoE effectively, is their advantage of overwhelming numbers.Longer ranges make flank shots vs advancing units easier.
Thank you for your comment. My opinion is that it is almost impossible to please all players when developing a game. That is why I initially developed the game exclusively for myself, exactly as I had imagined it. In theory, anyone can do exactly that, sit down and create the game of your dreams. Of course, I know that my preferences are not to everyone's liking, and that is why you can, for example, reduce or turn off the camera shaking. For this reason, you can also, for example, adjust the use of ammo and fuel to your own needs. If you have ever developed a complex game, then you will know that such features are not implemented in one day. Hyperwar is not a simulation and is basically very unrealistic. In the end, it should just be fun and everything has to fit together well. And if a tank can only go 3 kilometers with a full tank, then that's the way it is. Why do you think UE5 is bad? Are you a professional developer, or have you just heard about it? I personally find it very unprofessional to simply say that. Please don't take it personally. Thank you again for your comment :)
I don't see a problem with that. We gamers can be happy that there are great game engines out there. Unfortunately, you just can't please people, which is a real shame. That's just my personal opinion. Thanks for your comment.
@@andreassteinhorst9426 the problem is that every game is going to be the same rofl....wuth very small differences. Besides, if every game uses the same engine, it would be really boring
@@UFCMania155 I see it a little differently ;-) The engine is just the basic framework for development. What the developers make of it is usually completely different, even if they serve the same genre. But all developers cook with the same water, that's of course true. Which engine would you choose and why?
@andreassteinhorst9426 yes but a) using the same engine for EVERY game would get extremely boring and b) every engine has its limitations. So for example in 1 engine you can't swim but in another you can't destroy walls. I wouldn't choose any single 1 because games need to be made with a variety of different ones
video pixelization in general looks like sh1t. Whoever, wherever came up with that idea, to distort images in the first place, it feels like a hit to the eyes and is offensive. Signal loss looks different. Pixelization shaking, plus movement during stationary camera, that is how you make sure people get motion sickness. And it looks bad. It looks disgusting to me tbh. Distortion, shaking, pixelization makes me want to throw up. It is painful to look at. Again, camera going up down left right while stationary ...looks like a feature. Rockets with supply going all powered downward suddenly built ? Instead of crash. I would guess slowing down the landing would make sense.
Hi, I think you should watch my original video on this game to understand how pixelization is done on purpose because the view for the commander in this game is dependent on the radar building and the power sent into it to unlock the map for play. It is part of roleplaying not graphics.

No need for controllers in rts.
amazing work, explosions look impactful both visually and from sound perspective, however may i suggest to make some of the tank turret or defensive turret more unique design , maybe give them 3 barrels, or rail gun, and defensive turrets which look like the battleship turrets back in the day with 3 barrels, these are so cool as defensive turrets

I hope units don't just end up being "medium tank-heavy tank-light tank", but have either tiers between them or have lots of different ones (Guns going from 20mm to 120mm for example), for progression through a game and not just "You have every units almost instantly, now fight (which is kind of the case in Silica for example, it goes way too fast with too few units.)
I'd love to see screens of machine guns on units and then a heavy tank comes out of the fog and the only thing you can do is retreat because of it's armor for example. Though I don't know how the game functions really yet
I will go straight away look at the other videos for this game haha.
Good luck with making the game.
this looks tight
That it does! Thank you for sharing your impression of it. I hope you will wishlist it on Steam and post your feedback about it for the developer.
They also should create a detailed and advanced tutorial with all their features like the buildings rally points and what is their idea of using it (Unless you can queue and create x unit to rally on 1 and x to rally 2, etc. which in that case could be useful like rallying on 1 to prepare an attack and once I launch the attack, I automatically produce units to rally on 2 to defend the base or prepare for the next attack)
When you're a small team trying to introduce new mechanics which seems fun and useful, the AI often falls short (we've seen that quite a few time already ending in a bad review bombing)
Great point there my friend. Especially for a single player game.

Hehe, you might even say that, yes :) Thank you for the comment! What are you playing these days?
?
The modern era strategy game that left the biggest impression on me and that I still play is Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hours, there are a lot of really cool Mods like ShockWave, Rise Of The Reds, Contra to name a few that I play. The only negative point is that the engine is aging and is no longer necessarily adapted for more customization and there are also limitations like the number of players or units that can seriously affect or crash the game. If there was a sandbox game that could recreate this game, that would be more than enough for me.
Hello and thank you for sharing that with us. I am glad to see old school C&C fans on my channel. But what do you think of this game so far?
Thank you for your comment, which I can completely understand. Unfortunately, Hyperwar is not this sandbox game :(
It follows its own approaches and ideas, which initially correspond to my personal preferences. Hyperwar is only very distantly related to C&C (Generals). It is its own game concept. That is a big risk for success, but nothing ventured, nothing gained 😉

An old MMORTT that went to gamigo (and thus was destined for death) and had super units that could cause a variety of natural disasters as attacks. Hallo und Danke :) Ja, eine Demo ist geplant.

@andreassteinhorst9426 I was just meaning if you have played gates of hell ostfront, each unit has abilities, such as digging foxholes, crouch prone etc, leaders have binoculars to look into fog of war, certain unit fire flares to call in artillery etc. Medics can build tents, etc etc
I like that each unit has an inventory and most units have certain functions. The inventory is cool because if a soldier can't build foxhole he can just pick up a shovel from a dead soldier and now he can.
I'm just saying, it adds to the immersion when they have their own identity, abilities and inventory for ammo grenades items etc.
Will there coming a german language Support or just english?

Good luck!

Total Conflict Resistance is what u shld do next i would be interested in your thoughts vs this title
Hi and thank you for the recommendation! I will put it on my to do list!

Thank you for your great interest :)
What about Modding, will it be possible to import/create own Vehicles/Buildings?
Unfortunately, this will not be possible ... sorry
Hi, no info that I received about this. But I think the developer will answer that for you first hand.
take me back to C&C
True, but only close not exactly there. Thank you for sharing your impressions of it. What are you playing these days?
Will the ammo and fuel settings scale any in-game mission rewards or XP for difficulty level? Greater complexity is often used as a component of higher difficulty levels. Not a must-have, just curious if the game dev wants to make this a consequence-free player choice or wants to incentivize players to try harder difficulty settings.
Hi, I don't think so, it is basically a choice of how you like to play.
That is a good point indeed. For now the gameplay gives you enough time to edit your units and it is not hectic to begin with.
The game pace in this game is not very fast. A tank rush is not possible at the beginning. It has to be planned well in advance.
Will there be story campaign with voice acting etc and script writing
There will be scripted mission. But not sure how much will be done on the story and voiceovers.
Can we get full controller support please.
More and more PC gamers just use controllers, especially that Steam Deck and *Handheld* gaming PCs growing in popularity.
You can ask the developer here in the comments about that. Thank you for the comment and I hope you wishlisted the game on Steam.
Unfortunately, this type of support will not be available. Thank you for your interest anyway.
I think the biggest misconception for RTS is that it is good to make them 3d and high detail awesome graphics
Personally, I think it's long overdue for RTS games to look good.
Ah man! To see someone actually mentioned Soldiers of Anarchy! Epic comment! Thank you kindly for adding your thoughts on this topic!
Will there be naval combat or airborne deployed units
Naval Units are firmly planned, but will be added later, as they involve a lot of work... in terms of gameplay, maps, etc. Thanks for your comment.

Generals Zero hour in UE5
Not quite, but not far away. Thank you for sharing your impressions of it. What do you play these days?
The issue I see with all these adjustment details is that u cant play the game. The repair bay in CnC initially was cool but became useless later in game. Some of this is cool but also gives off paralysis by analysis. Like how do u play 32 mins in? Too many steps to do bro
This is indeed something I have been looking into myself and will be sending my ideas to the developer about how to keep these elements but make them more automated to help the player during end game.
What about infantry ? Don't tell me there will be no infantry units
I have to disappoint you on that...sorry. What are you playing now?

We all have our wishes. Some are fulfilled, some are not. Nevertheless, thank you for your comment.
game title?
Hyperwar. It is in the title and description and in the first minutes of the video my friend. What do you think of it?
Moving buildings feels like a cheat.. you could always move an attacked building and place it somewhere safe. It doesn't feel right. Moving should at least cost some time. And probably resources.
I do agree there will have to be a system to prevent abuse. But again, in a Singleplayer, there isn't that much need to police the players.
I'm dissapointed that neither Finland nor Korea are playable in this game :(

Oh no, this is as far from Starcraft as you can go. Make sure to wishlist it on Steam

Another RTS where you can barely tell background from foreground...
I know what you mean by this. It is something I feel like is a unique challenge when working with the Unreal Engine because it simulates the real world a bit too realistically.
Personally, I don't like games that are completely over-colored or use cartoon-like colors. But that's just my opinion ;-)
In Hyperwar you can set the colors for the UI, adjust the colors of the camo, but also the color intensity overall.
You can see the helicopters in action in my previous videos of this game : ruclips.net/video/Sb63TFbxmqY/видео.html
As for your other comments, I think BAR's UI and many, many command and control options surpass SupCom by a large margin.
Omfg there are too many games using the unreal engine
I don't see a problem with that. We gamers can be happy that there are great game engines out there. Unfortunately, you just can't please people, which is a real shame. That's just my personal opinion. Thanks for your comment.
Hi, what does too many mean? And why is that bad?
