Even if a hero of mine (like Siouxsie) was on, I'd know they wouldn't get a word in or be allowed to talk about anything serious or interesting. It's all just a vehicle for Norton's high-camp, bitchy humour, which is absolutely not to my taste. (Same with Jimmy Fallon in the US - he's a funny guy, but it's not a "talk" show. He has some great guests on but the "interviews" are just a lot of p*ss*ng about)

7 years before TV programme was recorded I'd named one of my cats "Siouxsie". And round about the time of the TV interview I saw Siouxsie her in concert in London Just as the concert ended I had strong urge to get out the crowd before the rush leaving. I took a wrong turn somewhere and then I bumped into her near an exit on the way out, we would had wedged in the doorway had we not both stopped in our tracks. Sorry Siouxsie, I honestly didn't recognize you at that moment until the moment you'd spoke and thanked us for coming.
Look at her body language in the TV program in places - it speaks volumes.

      Love your comment.
I was a Goth in Brisbane in the very early 80's when the scene was just starting here.
Its been a huge upset for me to see something I truly loved go to Emo.
We used to get the crap beaten out of us because of how we dressed and to see any of it go mainstream is just sickening.
Nose rings, tattoos, Doc Martins etc have all gone over and it makes me ill. Seeing yuppies wear full sleeves, I just want tyo punch them. My tats represented my class and the hard life I come from NOT JUST DECORATION.
I still have my piercings but never wear them now because they mean nothing.
For me we dressed that way because we wanted to be outcast from a society we did not agree with.
We were street kids back then so it was a hard life for us.
I have buried so many of my friends that died along the way through drugs and the hard life we led.
Im in my 50's now but it still means something to me. Love your comment.

They obviously know each other and anyone who's ever even heard of Graham Norton knows what his show is like and knows what they're in for when they go on. Totally agree. You should never knock someone who's actually putting themselves out there and making music that's real to them. The best I can hope is that he was somehow in on the joke or crazy enough to just not give a shit.
But that wasn't very nice at all. I think Siouxsie was very supportive in her reaction. If Graham let her speak a bit longer, I think she would have had a chance to be more encouraging.

Zappa said once that most pop music was made for 12-year olds. Those who know very little about 'rock' music think along very similar lines. In fact BBC luvvies like GN (nowadays) operate at the intellectual level of 12-year olds, usually in the guise of 'fun loving people'. Ditto jerks like Chris Evans, Jonathan Woss etc., no different from Brucey and the pantheon of light entertainment. Just think what GN could have asked Souxsie about. Like how they developed that very distinct music style, or how did they come to write a song called Metal Postcard? Each providing insight and information. But no, let's talk about fucking cats.

Absolutely F all about the guest, at least she looked absolutely amazing which is more than can be said for him, this was complete focus on bollox instead of the lady who was in at the beginning and is still there, still killin' it. Mr Norton let's hope your career doesn't last half as long as SS cos you got f all talent.

He's an absolute moron of the highest proportion. I don't understand why someone like Siouxsie herself would put up with this display of juvenile behaviour bordering on psychiatric from this basket - case delusional twat. !

What a time, what a show. Did not know the value of the late 80's and 90's, but even 20 years ago and still today Siouxsie is great.

What a disappointing "interview". Norton spent most of his time trying to be funny and mostly ignoring his guest.

IDK. How many times does Siouxsie get questioned about her career? She’s said so herself that she dreads talking about the past. She seemed to thoroughly enjoy her time with GN.
They were having a few laughs.

By this point she has clearly aged and wrinkles have started to show. And yet she remains breathtakingly beautiful with them. Great counterargument for the issue some of society has with the looks of older people

I agree with many other comments there's no interview going on here just Graham fooling around for ten solid minutes , hardly a question asked to the megaStar Siouxie. What a wasted opportunity .
