Hair follicle miniaturization is the process hair goes through before it falls out.
In this video I’ll explain why the miniaturization process takes place and also how it leads to the thinning and recession of the your hair.
In simplest terms, hair miniaturization is shrinking of the hair strand - and, eventually, the hair follicle. This is commonly seen in those with a variety of hair loss types, and can have permanent effects if not handled quickly.
    Transcription:
How is Hair Miniaturization Linked to Genetic Alopecia?
To understand the role that miniaturization plays in hair loss, we first much look at the hair growth cycle.
Anagen (growth) Phase - This phase lasts anywhere from 3-5 years, and it’s the main growing phase within the hair growth cycle.
Catagen (transition) Phase - This is the shortest phase in the cycle - lasting only 1-2 weeks - and is the intermediate between growth and rest.
Telogen (rest) Phase - Finally, this phase takes place for 3-4 months. At this point, hair shedding increases, and old hairs fall out so new hairs can take their place. This then restarts the cycle of hair growth, leading back into anagen.
In those with hair miniaturization, the cycle is interrupted for one reason or another.
The two most common interruptions occur during the anagen phase of growth (typically experienced by those with Male-Pattern Baldness (MPB)) and the telogen phase of growth (known as telogen effluvium, and triggered by a number of causes).

Hairguard Hi, my question is, on a other video you said that hair dye is bad for the hair follicles. I HAVE to dye my hair. I can’t be going around with gray hair lol. What do you recommend that’s safe to use for the hair follicles? Was there any studies on that?

dkayrotach your hairs porosity might get high which means after shower/deep condition you must seal your hair cuticles I suggest jojoba since it’s light but when your hair is dry and you have frizz I suggest a little castor oil to go over the frizzy ends

I started regular massaging and lifting the scalp to increase blood flow - both about two months ago. I had tried literally EVERYTHING else without success. It’s like I have someone else’s hair now.
As crazy as it sounds, I’ve been massaging while inverted a couple of times per day. I use my stairs! I highly recommend using your fingers to lift the scalp, massaging regularly, and even massaging the face to relieve scalp tension. Thank you to Hairguard to finally connecting the dots. I’m grateful.

How long do you massage it every time?

    • @eric_martindale1711
      @eric_martindale1711 4 года назад +5

I'm doing about 2 min. I do first thing in the morning (during my coffee), during shower, and before bed - at a minimum. On long drives I do it a lot more, and I also do it more if I feel a lot of stress or tension; or if I get a sensation of hair thinning. (My scalp tends to itch if I'm going through a period of thinning.) Overall, this has been great. However, I still go through periods of a lot of stress, and during those times, I'm inverting, scalp-lifting, and massaging face and scalp a LOT.

@@liljohn13243546, about two months ago, I was really seeing my scalp in the front. I was actually thinking that I was months away from having to shave my head. I wish I could quantify more clearly, but I can't see my scalp anymore, and I have had several people (including my mom, my oldest daughter, and the lady that cuts my hair) ask my why my hair looked thicker. I'm no expert, but I think that rather than having any "more" hair, I'm seeing thicker, healthier follicles. FYI: You may want to try scalp lifting and inverstion - and even doing them together. Hairguard apparently sells a lifting band, but for now, I've been mirroring that by hand.

Eric_ Martindale thicker and healthier follicles sounds good to my. I’m still miniaturizing and have all my follicles intact. Rest of the hair all good. Now im taking a supplement with saw palmetto, among other vitamins and minerals, using ketaconzole 2 percent and taking care of my hair properly. I will start using minoxidil soon to give it a boost and see what I can re thicken and recover.
