Ive been losing my hair since 14 years old. but it's been somewhat slow. but its getting worse over the years if i hear it back the light shines right through front my hair line is super chippy. i disguise it well. N thought id be just like my dad im trying to figure this out. im 28 now and have a "head of hair" but again its looking quite thin. but my dad started typical male pattern baldness at 16. and had the sides go up until his island of hair was one. But thats not whats happening to me. like the norwood scale dosent look like what im going through it looks like diffuse thinning. Does that i mean i have something different than my father. My moms dad has a thick full head of hair til he died. my dads dad had head of hair too. some receding on the sides but still quite full. so im trying to figure this out

I always had thin hair, and it never shedded(I never saw any hait on my pillow, comb etc.) And about 4 months after a stressfull period, I experienced a massive thinning of hair on my temporal region. I started using minoxidile 5% right away, and my hair was back to normal after about 3 months. I am still using minoxidile( not as much as before) but I'm afraid if i stop using that my hair will begin thinning again, as I am still not sure if its short term or long term cause.

About a month into my use of an accident I started noticing shedding already, now it’s been 2 1/2 months after I’ve stopped and I’m still noticing more shedding. Great video. I've been losing my hair for years now due to androgenetic alopecia...probably since my early twenties. I always had suspicions about it but it was confirmed a couple of years ago. I'm 35 now and my hair has never looked this bad. My family and friends say they don't believe me. They say I am imagining it and that I don't have hair loss. My mom says we don't have hair loss in our family. It doesn't matter if it doesn't "run in your family." Some people are just destined to be BALD!!!! lol

I have had chronic telogen effluvium for 4 years. This shit will not stop. I had VERY thick hair, and there is no baldness anywhere in my family. I started a new, very exhausting job, and I lost weight very quickly. My hair started absolutely falling out. Huge amounts every type I shampooed. Then it seemed to slow down. But it has never stopped... it has gotten quite thin all over my head, but mostly on top. But, my hairline hasn't moved at all... not one bit.

      I experienced something very similar.
I rapidly lost weight after I started to eat less. with that my hair started shedding rapidly, every time I run my finger through my hair a whole bunch of hair strands came out
      I think it lasted 6 - 8 months.
but the issue is I don't see much of a recovery though it has been like 4 months since it has stopped.

I am concerned that because I am still losing weight that It wont recover for a while yet. I'm in a predicament.
I just recently underwent surgery for my kidney, but the issues may have started about 2 years ago.
    I started to sweat more.
My hair changed, I would normally wash it every other day, now I have to wash it every day because it gets oily over a 24hr period.
As the kidney issues progressed over what I can recall being 2 years, my appetite went along with it. I'm 31, 5'10" and as of writing, 117lbs where before I sat around 130lbs.
My hair thinning has been mainly the front/bangs area, but has begun to progress onto the top of my scalp. My crown however is still retaining its density.
Every shower I take, I have a good amount of hair fall, definitely not 100 strands, but over the last bit, the hair remaining at the front and top has diffused enough where I can see my scalp.
Would kidney problems such as a fibroid growth, blocking the ureter tube to my bladder cause physical stress and increase my cortisol levels to where my hair is thinning/falling out?
I don't want to jump the gun with medications, especially if it's TE and the kidney problems were the underlying cause.
I'm about to see the doctor soon, looking to get a full blood panel work up, along with checking my deficiencies and hormonal levels.
But if you could theorize, would a physical ailment I just recently resolved through surgery, be the cause of possible Telogen Effluvium?
    Thanks.

Women produce far less dht than men normally and if they don't there is usually a reason why (thyroid issues, menopause etc). You could on the other hand be extremely sensitive to dht so even though what you produce is minimal it still has an effect on your hair. On another note I don't think finasteride is approved for female use mainly because of its potential effects on the male fetus, obviously don't get pregnant on finasteride and if you were looking to at some point I would imagine you would need a considerable period of time off the medication before hand, be wary of the half life of finasteride if doing this because some studies show it can linger in your system longer than the half life suggests, I would again suggest having bloodwork done a while after discontinuation to confirm that the medication is out of your system for any women looking to conceive 👍.

Did the dermatologist tell you that it's not permanent ? I'm asking because I recently completed my JEE journey After 2 years and I'm currently having diffuse thinning . My entire scalp shines and people are pointing it out. What should I do

Hi. I am now in my month 7 of Telagon Effluvium. I started to see some re growth and I think that I do not lose that much hair as 7 months ago. Is that the end of loosing hair? Last year, on spring I didn’t have my period for almost 4 months and I lost 15 kg in 3 months. Is that why my TE started? Thank you for your answer.

@@prashnachand8167 I can say that it is better but still not the best. I have days when I am shedding like crazy and than there are days when it is absolutely okey. I can see some regrown, some baby hair. They are growing back but it is very long process. The number one think that helped me was that I stopped worrying about that. I am trying to eat healthy and without restriction, going on walks and just relaxing. Also, I started to using natural shampoo without alcohol, vegan and without ingredients that I don’t know. I can see that my hair are more healthy and sheds less. Also I think that u know this but don’t brush your hair when they are wet. Just remember to be positive and don’t be stressed. It is just hair

@Barbora Cabalova get your mental health under control. If you have anxiety and stress that's the cause. You won't stop shedding if you can't get it under control. Ssris may help this

@@thpcv1061 same i guess but i started hitting the gym and eat alot of protien and stopped fapping and yeah! After 8 days i guess of no fapping my oily scalp decreased alot and after 3 weeks of non washing my hair i tried today and like 130 hairs fell! So thats great considering we shed like 100 hairs a day so 130 after that time is great i guess so no fapping did a great job and i am taking finasteride of course and taking multi vitamins and i will consider oral minoxdil after sometime i guess!
