Im 59, started losing hair 25 yrs ago, taking minoxidil since 40, but still lost hair to the point of needing a hat.
I had a spine issue at 55 and started using an inversion table and immediately started seeing hair regrowth. At the same I figured Id get serious about my health and scaled into a hardcore longevity regimen, diet, exercise and supplements.
I have had enough regrowth that i no longer need a hat. I no longer shed hair, I still want more regrowth and will incorporate whatever natural methods I can.
BTW I do 15 minutes per day on the inversion table. Massage scalp in shower, but now i will add in more massage time out of shower.
I put peppermint oil with carrier on scalp at nite when sleeping. I stopped taking Minoxidil all together.
Thanks for the informative video on massaging scalp.
Upside down for how long?
@@MycoolNZ 15 minutes
Is there other benefits other then hair growth you noticed using inversion table
@Holahooa766 Yes definitely, you can Google it. Gravity reaks havoc on our bodies especially spine compression. Inversion helps with circulation, digestion, draining of lymphatic system, mood, etc.
@@invertage thanks for the reply
I been going ham for like 6 months now. My hair definitely looks fuller. My haircuts look way better. My routine is when I wash my hair, I'm using a scalp brush to get the dandruff off as much as possible. I do hand massages for about 3-5 minutes to really get the blood flowing. I make sure my scalp is moving significantly. Then I use my Breo scalp massager until it turns off automatically. The scalp massager really moves my scalp in a shiatsu type of motion. I use it about 10 minutes. I just do it while I'm watching a video like this one. I think 3 x a week is enough to see results in half a year. Of course in this case more is actually better. I try to do it daily. In the beginning I was doing it twice a day.
That fibrosis is definitely a culprit. A lot of my friends ended up with shiny heads in their late 20's and early 30's were experiencing MPB.
Its lymphatic stagnation that causes fibrosis. The massage is allowing the blood to flow through to the hair follicles. Its better to stop cooked foods and eat a raw fruit diet along with your massage routine.
I got a big ass forehead n was wondering if this would help lol. Me edges are pushed back at fucking 23 but the rest of my hair is good however my scalp is being such a pain. Did this help with the edges of your hairline at all? I don't want to do minox or finnasteride until absolutely 100% necessary
I watched your 2019 video about a year ago as I laid in my bed worried about my baldness setting in. At that time I was only left with brown thin hairs on my front scalp. I honestly didn't think it would work but I decided to try it that night and I remember having a very uncomfortably itchy scalp. Long story short. My hair is growing back and all I do is derma roll once in two weeks but I do head massages daily. Thanks man!
It is suitable if it is genetic baldness, please reply quickly

I don't think 50+ hair is balding bro, I lost 150--250 if not massaging my scalp, but around 100 if doing scalp massage (I've been doing this routinely (almost every day) since January, not routinely since 2023)

I started massages 3 months ago and seeing good results.
Hey, that's good to hear.
Yes, and also, that's good 4 hair lol
Three months is way too short to judge the efficacy of any hair loss treatment. Even six months is not enough, due to the cyclical nature of hair growth and seasonal variations. I would say say at least a year, but probably more like two years, to have any real confidence that it works.

Your channel is underrated, your vedios are based on logic and scientific explanation. Your presentation is absolutely amazing. A lots of respect from India.
Thank you very much!
Massages work, just takes time and effort. That's why everyone wants to focus on the easy solution (fin). Which is fair enough, I understand, but it doesn't mean giving up on massages and the Growband.
Nailed it
Some actual real innovation in the hair loss space is good to see.
Thank you.
The Growband is a knockoff and near-replica of a device called the Takeda Medex Scalp Tension Relaxer - a product sold in Japan in the early 1990s .
Do scalp massage 4-5 min specially in the shower under moderated hot water ! You will see gain in very short time . Never use any kind shampoos. But beneficial planted soaps. But only apply 1 time. Do not wash 2 times. The logic is that scalp need to be moisturized. After shower you need to apply your favourite non greasy lotion or anything . I could find a great mixture includes moringa, clove and hibiscus. You can find it here on RUclips. Thank me later . We will all succeed 🙌🏻
Sure, the key is to be consistent.

Before I did scalp massages, my scalp was tight and almost the same color as the skin on the rest of my body. 5 months into massaging my scalp 5-10mins daily. I noticed my scalp felt "thicker" and white. I guess it's a step forward. 🙂
Have you seen any advancement in growth? And how do you massage
@@turnoff7572 other than the improvement of my scalp, I noticed that the existing hair shafts are now thicker and have way less hair fall. I also noticed lots of new "baby hair" in the crown area.
I massage my scalp 4mins in the morning and before bed. I do the pinching method and "scalp over skull" method shown here 👉 ruclips.net/user/shortsVv_nFo6OBTU?si=crEkeU_X-2a-LJhB

Same. I didnt realize how stiff/tight my scalp was until about two weeks into regular massage when I realized it was more malleable.
@@funkathrusta how do you do the massage?
This makes sense. There is no other way to explain the "pattern" aside from some relation to inflammation, tension, blood circulation.
I had sides from finasteride, so now Im just doing growband, topical and dermaroller and it works great.

This intuitively makes sense to me, thanks for breaking down the science.

I do believe that blood flow matters to the growth of the hair.
Yes, microvascular circulation and growth space surrounding the dermal papilla are crucial (in the case of androgenetic male hair loss)
Honestly, this video explains a lot.
I do beleive that scalp tension, blood flow and fibrosis play the biggest role in MPB.
Yes absolutely. DHT plays a role in fibrosis and thats why people end up thinking DHT is the only thing that matters when it's just 1 part of the equation.
This was good …. I def have a belief that massaging the scalp helps… if you think about it simply letting the scalp sit there letting DHT do what it wants than for sure it will … blood flow from what I have looked into seems to be big part of male pattern baldness specially when all scalps that go completely bald have that same tight smooth look…
I can't find fault with of the science you guys mentioned. I'd like to see any rebuttals here in the comments.
Still waiting for a specific fault with the thesis.

i was a former expat in Singapore. There is a hair clinic that does hairloss treatment. The treatment would last about an hour, 2x a week. At the beginning and end of every treatment, there is a scalp massage that would last about 15 mins.
Hair transplants eventually fall out without finasteride btw.
Thanks for valuable information. Like from india.

Thanks for the video with the blast of scientific information ❤.

Hi mam will you marry me 💘
Thanks for this information! My hair is thinning and I thought nothing of it. I guess buying a wooden scalp massager would be a good routine for me before sleeping. Thank you!
Yes, massaging with a brush certainly helps, remember to try block DHT too.
I've been doing this scalp massage with a brush for a while, I can say it does create good blood circulation, hair after a while looks slightly thick, but I'm losing hair on my crown and it does not grow back. Existing hair yeah, it helps to keep it alive.
Have you started on dht blockers? That is the only way to actually preserve your hair once you see signs of mpb.
@@garfield3764 no, dht blockers are not the way. Coffee is a natural dht blocker and wont mess with your hormones like minoxidil or finestiride

Are massages safe post hair transplant? I'm starting massages 4 months post op and wondering if massages will hurt the transplanted grafts.
I would certainly be cautious about this. Perhaps light massage but not on the recipient area. Focus on the perimeter muscles.
@@Hairguard Will do. Thanks! Hope I haven't done much damage by massaging recipient area for this past week

Hi there, does it mean that we shouldn’t take collagen supplement because of potential build up and creating fibrosis?
Good question, i hope he answers, but he probably doesn't know
Collagen is a good supplement to take. Bone broth is great. it won't contribute to increased fibrosis.
I've been using the growband pro for 7 months and the thinning on my crown has almost entirely reversed now.
Where u buy
Good to heat that, keep it up.
Is it the only thing you do or are you taking minox and other stuff as well?
I can't find fault with any of the theory but yet to try scalp massages myself.
Fair enough, give them a try.
Hi, i want to share my story about scalp massage, i noticed that my hairline was receiding when i was around 20/21 yo. On the head they were dense but my temples where going back, so i freaked out and started to search on the internet.
I ended up learning almost everything about aga and the tecniques to fight it, and since
I've allways been afraid of finasteride i decided to try scalp massages.
I used to scalp massage every day for months, then i went on and off different times but what i noticed is that my receiding stopped or at least really slowed down. Now i'm 28 and i stopped scalp massage years ago but my head is still pretty full of hair, maybe my hairline is a bit worse but in 7 years i didn't lose a lot.
I'm gonna restart to scalp massage and derma rolling to keep my scalp healthy, imo everyone should at least try to scalp massage for at least 6/8 months and judge the resoults, it's free and natural with no sides at all. It can be tiring to massage every day but i'm ok if i can keep my hair
Thanks for sharing.
Wonder if taking a flushing dose of Niacin B3 before messaging would be if assistance?
I wonder the same thing..
@@cu8350 I came to the conclusion it most definitely is. All your capillaries are open after the flush. You can go wiring with messaging at that point..✌️
I thought that flexing the occipitalis and forehead muscles (thus moving the whole scalp back and forth) is a good way to do a scalp massage, but this is a strengthening exercise which probably increases tension. And muscle tension in those areas is not a good thing, right?
That's a great question and honestly I don't know the answer. I certainly would do just muscles flexing. Pair it with some manual massages for sure.
How do you massage using your hands? Slow? Fast? Circular..? Vertical? Hard, gentle…? Was hoping to at least get that answer in this nearly 30 min video.
Slow and gentle, you dont wanna damage the follicles.
Excellent knowledge!
Thanks for watching!
Holy moly, nobody is talking about how early hair transplants used 6-12mm drills to remove the follicles? That sounds like absolute torture! I can't image that healing without any long term pain. Jeez Louise.
Please answer this. If collagen buildup causes hair loss, and microneedling causes more collagen to form, how is it that many have had success with microneedlimg their scalp?
Please do answer!
Micro wounds and red swelling = more blood and repairing cells. Also more nutrients
It's not necessarily collagen buildup. It's more specifically fibrosis which is a form of highly irregular collagen buildup which occupies the perofollicular space thus reducing growth space for the dermal papilla.
Interesting.
How about using natural oils + hair massage routine?
All of my friends who are bald and lost most of the hairs on top of their head, have a commonality. Obsession with women, sex, have intrusive thoughs which they focus on and have lived with their parents for a longer time than others. Washed their hair way too often.

Im almost 18 and I started losing hair at 15-16 and at my age its really hard because it affects my self-esteem and confidence. I used Minoxidil and dermaroller for 6 months and I could see improvement in my hairline that is not that bad but the top of my head is really losing hair, I stopped the treatment because I couldnt afford it. Microneedling causes damages, which are repaired with collagen. Isn‘t this a fbrosis? If it is, microneedling is contra productive.
This is silly; blood flow is the main reason we have hair, nails, basically our intire being
We have to consider the rest of the body ..the places we see hair grow those areas are in constant movement ...
except for the scalp ...so yea it maybe genetic that some ppl need alil more effort to get the blood to flow more on the scalp so yea scalp massages do grow your hair back
The Growband is actually wayyy better now you guys added the Growbox and made the whole thing automatic and battery powered.
Agreed, much easier.
Bow down like muslims when they pray, touch the ground with the top of your head (preferably on a carpet) and make circular motions with your head using your neck. It won't make you tired and the blood can flow trough your scalp more easily. Periodically change the portion of your scalp that touches the ground to be able to work every area of it.
Interesting idea.

Wouldn’t microneedling cause build up of scar tissue/collagen?
depends on healing and your frequency
