I think this is a setting we can play in for a very long time. So many stories to tell!
Currently got 3 builds (not full characters yet) at lvl 3 centered around getting most out of the bite attack. Dhampir Battlemaster, Dhampir Hunter ranger (I'm really surprised how many ranger things stack with bite attack) and a lvl 2 paladin/lvl1 hexblade for that divine bite! And for anyone who thinks Dhampirs can't be paladins: Listen to Powerwolf's "We drink your blood."
So many great options for the dhampir.
I literally made a Dhampir Paladin because I was listening to Powerwolf.
I’m working on a dhampir build. Starting as variant human for that extra feat and proficiency, taking Fey Touched feat, fighter Eldritch Knight with a 3 lvl dip in Ranger Swarmkeeper. The swarm is obviously bats. I’m not sure when to take the Ranger levels. Possibly after 5th level fighter. Being 3 levels late to get extra attack would suck. Shadow Touched feat at fighter level 4. Great weapon master feat at fighter level 6. All other ASI would increase strength and constitution. If I have another ASI and Str and Con are both 20 I’ll take the Tough feat.
Sounds awesome! Spider climb is so very useful as well.
If I can get into a Curse of Strahd or Ravenloft campaign I'm going to do a female Tabaxi Dhampire Vampire Hunter who is a Monster Slayer Ranger, or Gunslinger if the DM allows Homebrew content. Yes my inspiration is Rayne from the Bloodrayne series.

Charlatan gives skills in Arcana and History? I think you can rearrange things the way you want, so that must be what you meant.

I love playing alchemy supplies with characters.
My build would be a dhampir kensei monk. Grab Piercer at 4th level and maybe Fey Touched at 8th level to pick Hunter's Mark. Buy an Eldritch Claw Tattoo whenever you can and use it until level 11.
I have put together a potent Damphir build of Undead Patron Warlock and Conquest Paladin. Plays heavy in to the fear synergies between the classes
Great subclasses and great race option I bet they combo very well.
Starting 1/10/22, I play my first Chaotic Evil character. A Human Dhampir, Paladin, aligned with Tharizdun
Nice! Spider climb on a Paladin should be interesting. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that at the table.
I'm currently playing a Dhampir Psi Warrior in Rime of the Frost Maiden.
My DM gave us a bonus feat at level 1 and we rolled a tic-tac-toe board for stats I took Telekinetic so my starting stats were 13, 18, 18, 18, 16, 12. I plan on splitting my ASIs between Maxing Dex, Con, and Int and Aberrant Dragonmark with Shield and Mage Hand and UA Gift of the Gem Dragons. I'm hoping it's gonna be as fun as it looks.
I love the telekinetic feat! Great potential for some hijinks!
@@RollingWithAdvantage I've been using it to open doors and pull levers that were suppose to be challenges to the party.

Would a Dhampir Moon Druid benefit from their bite while Wild Shaped?
That is an excellent question. It's probably up to the DM. I would rule that you could use it because a vampiric bear just sounds amazing to me.
I went Dhampir Path of the Beast Barbarian. Next will be a Half-Orc Dhampir Champion with the Piercer feat at lv 4. Nothing special until I roll a 19 or 20. Add a rapier to the mix. 3d8 x2 on a critical hit. Not including Stat bonus. Or 3d4x2 with the bite on a crit. Anybody have nightmares yet?
Thoughts on soul knife for this race ?
