I went for Carbon front mudguard, belly pan, rear hugger and single seat (all courtesy of Akrapovic) along with the titanium system and carbon end can for my K1300R. Best thing is a custom rear spring, for your weight, ask Dave Moss the suspension guru for settings. Make Spicey boi your blank canvas.
Modding a bike is the best thing ever. Getting to make it unique and YOURS! I’ve had my bike for almost 5 years and haven’t done a mod in almost 2 years... now I’m sad 😢 🤣
Lali. You are incredible working on your own bike. My daughter has a MT 07 and we are also modifying it. You are pretty , funny and have guts to do it yourself. And thats just an honest compliment because you are like a daughter to me. Keep riding safe.
Totally agree, it's therapeutic, and there's nothing quite like having a bike that's been set up how you want it. Varies by bike and purpose, but I'd say suspension and brakes are primary, then exhaust and cosmetic touches, saddle if needed (that cover is gorgeous!), performance bits as desired beyond the exhaust. My Bonnie I wanted to keep looking pretty much stock as it's the Centenary Edition T100; some mods don't show (airbox removal kit, Nology coils, igniter that raises the rev limiter, Race-Tech fork internals and springs) but the Ohlins shocks and recently added Galfer wave rotors are pretty obvious. Daytona 955 has Race-Tech suspension front and rear, Corbin saddle, Heli Bars (replacing stock clip-ons), EBC V rotors, carbon fiber front fender and rear hugger, Zero Gravity double-bubble windscreen, full Arrow exhaust with cf canister. The antique (1973) Yamaha TX500 (eight-valve DOHC twin, I'm the original owner, has 124,000 miles on it) is extensively modded over the years with later-model parts and aftermarket bits (to fix factory flaws and improve performance) to where it's a total one-of-a-kind; it's going to get Race-Tech fork internals during its current restoration/rebuild (head gasket was leaking, had to tear it down again). Just needs fresh paint after that. No pics to link at present, but the Daytona can be seen on Broncoride's channel in his "Ride to WV Meetup" video from a while back, and the T100 was at the tail end of one of Stuart Fillingham's photo competition videos this past summer (don't recall which month though). Guess I'll have to get around to setting up an Instagram account and loading some pics one of these days.
I was watching this with my 3 month old baby boy, and the ENTIRE time he was smiling and laughing 😂. I think he has a crush on Lali. hehe. Nice video! I agree that it's therapeutic working on your own bike, even if things go south, the satisfaction you get when YOU do the fixing is just 😚👌 Chef's kiss!
Here is a link to my 2016 FZ-07 with Givei hard cases side and Top ..case with lauggage rack and tank Bag.. I now have a Triumph Tiger Sport 1200 Windsreen too
Make it your own. I went to the wrecking yard bought some parts. Asked the owner How much a Ceet gripper MX Seat cover that was on motorcross seat. Gave it to me there was enough material got driver passenger seats done on my 94 GSXR 750. Has 1200 bandit motor in it now.
Buy a bike with all the mods already on y'all. An aftermarket full exhaust is most important. Lali - you need to work on your garage set up. For starters obtain a workbench/table, rolling creeper seat and anti-fatigue mat. Maybe a vise too. Sitting on the floor is not going to cut it. Enjoy the vids
yea even tho its time consuming i enjoy working on my bike just installed tidy and and a black widow exhaust sounds mint. got the same mt07 colour scheme as you looks good
That seat turned out great. I'm redoing the seat on my 2003 Vmax as well as clear engine covers, Barnett clutch plate, belly pan, small fairing and ricor intiminators for my fork, 6 pot front brake calipers vs 4 pot pan, same size wave rotors front and rear. Probably upgrading the headlight as well
I like your new seat covers! I'm picking up my new MT07 on Friday!I want to put a slip on exhaust on the bike. Not too obnoxious sounding.Just enough so people in vehicles. Will hear me if they don't see me!
can comfirm, in electrical apprenticeship currently, 40 hours or more a week of work and 6 hours of classroom time on top of that. homework too :( my motorcycle is a nice few hour escape for the weekends.
Looks great Lali, thank you. I have the same bike and will be browsing the seat covers... never crossed my mind before. FYI, just another guy here watching your vlogs and memorized by your outro.
Spicey Boy looks good! I like those seat covers. I re-covered the seats on my 2 bikes a year or two ago (1988 BMW K75 and for track 1998 Honda VTR 1000). Just bought some leather-cloth material and used the old ones as a pattern. I did a great ride out with my friends on a borrowed MT07 in the mountains behind the coast (Costa Del Sol, Spain). Loved it. Similar performance to my BMW K75, but with a modern twist. If I ever buy a modern bike I reckon it will be an MT07. Seriosly capable bike. Plenty fast enough for road use (unless you have a death wish). Also a bit lighter to handle when parking etc.
Lali 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣 Girl..girl...GIRRRRRLLL!!! You are HILARIOUS!!! Thank you soooo much for the inspiration and the great tips that you have shared with many of us! I'm a 55 year-old female Kawasaki Ninja rider and...I wanna grow up to be just like you! 😎 What say you? (I know...AS IF, right? 😂) Again, Girl...girl...GIRRRLLL! 😆😂🤣 Stay safe and God bless! 💯
I bought a full rider seat from Sergeant and it came with just the pillion cover for the back. I had tried an electric stapler to put the pillion cover on, it didn’t work and had to use a pneumatic stapler.
Hi Lali, those seat covers are so beautiful and match Spicy boi, whose a lucky boi!, well done in sorting out the problem of too long staples, the finished job, like magic, what a restoration, you have considerable skills, that pneumatic stapler is awesome, you find it therapeutic and I'm sure you're not the only one, i loved it.
There is very little more therapeutic than working on your bike. Especially when your stuck working at home due to the Global Bastard. Also nice work with the pneumatic staple gun. I've seen that go so bad before.
Ah, excited to see another PA girl rider :) I love that you do your own mods too! If I tried a video of me attempting mods, it would be 3 hours of me trying to buy the right tool, one hour of me figuring out how to use the tool, and another three of me trial-and-erroring the mod. And yet I keep trying. I have two boxes of stuff I ordered over quarantine to start working on :) Cheers from the Harrisburg area
Me too. I take forever to accomplish things in the garage. Ari Henning is like "20 minute oil change" and I'm like, "it takes me 30 minutes just to gather the tools and materials, volumes and torque settings!"
also, the old saying is getting an aftermarket saddle for your bike fools you into thinking that every mod you will do to your bike will be that excellent/useful. It looks cool though.
If I had an indoor space to work in... this makes me wanna learn and work on my bike 😂😭 it's already snowed here although it didn't stick to the ground. It's too cold to ride, so I need to put her away for hibernation. I am gonna have to look for a new clutch lever tho bc mines like a curly fry..... it's been dropped on 😂😭
I find it to be so relaxing to work on my moto, a kind of zen like ............ aggggghhhhhh. What the, noooooooo ................... experience takes over and I am one with the universe.
I think that would look good on your seat to put spicy boy on there but nice bike it’s really nice you picked a good one can’t wait to see your ride it was a nice weather good video keep up the good work can’t wait to see your next one you’re doing very well on your videos and I enjoy it thank you 🤪
I’m considering switching to a smaller bike like this or the Rebel 500. My problem is I don’t care for the look of standards. And yeah yeah I know, hands down any bike like this sv650, the Kawasaki one, ducati etc beats the rebel in every way. But the rebel you can 😎 while doing everything in slow-mo. It’s basically real life auto slow-mo. The other problem is I really want chicken wings now but it’s 9am so damn.
The seat on my Ducati Streetfighter 848 is terribly hard and uncomfortable. Been thinking about upgrading the seat or at least get a seat cover but so expensive...
...... loadsa wind n rain here in North Wales, UK. Not done any mods yet on my '97 Valkyrie... only had her a few months and have no history so, as she is 23+ looking to change everything 'rubber' then do something paint wise and maybe Gauges?
I have a brand new 2021 mt-07 Storm Fluo. I'm a newbie to riding. What color paint did you use for the "Fangs"? And what color is your bike? I would love to do some accents that match the wheel, however I have no clue what the paint code/paint name is for the wheels. Anyway your bike looks Badddd Assss. That seat looks Great 👍😃. Ride Safe...
Looks good Lali. The seat looks great, I'd think about taking the pillion strap off if you don't use it, as I think that would look better but just a thought. Keep up the great videos :)
What mods do you like on bikes? Link me pictures to your favorites below so I can get some more inspiration! ❤️❤️❤️

@@AntiParallali hi you so beautiful.
Exhaust (Yoshi or Akra), Quadlock mount, shorty levers, seat are the typical mods for me.

Yep a freezing week in PA 😭

But it was the wrong kind of red 😟
