Hey, thought I should mention an important correction about the SV650 brakes. You keep saying in videos that the SV650 front brakes are "the same 2 piston Tokico calipers from 1999". They actually revised the 2019 model year SV650 to upgrade the calipers to the dual 4-piston Tokicos (same ones as the Gladius, I believe). Just thought you should know since its a pretty big difference in stopping power now.

Not sure why you think the Triumph has superior suspension to the MT-07. The Triumph uses Showa's bottom-of-the-barrel SFF forks which use damper rods from the Pleistocene era. They're upside down. Big deal. It's still junk suspension. If you want better quality than complete crap, the boingers have to be cartridge and those will have damping adjustment front and rear.

Im getting the 22 model but the big difference is the seating feels like two completely different bikes because the old one your knees hit the frame rail that pissed me off without even riding it. The new one the bike fits like a glove and doesn’t have a metal pole to the kneecap. The handle bars are closer and wider so feel much better and the bike to me feels more aggressive and ready to turn a lot quicker im picking mine up in two weeks😁

You’ll understand why that’s better than bhp unless your on W.O.T. Point is, MT07 has 5 years proven reliability with no issues. Triumph have not, as it’s now made in Thailand, we’ll see how that quality works out in 5 years. Glad they BOTH exist because choice is a great thing. But the Triumph is no game changer like the mt07 was, neither is it made in Britain despite the Union Jack, which should give you an idea of Triumphs marketing bull. Nice looking though.

I know your not asking me but here is my 2 cents. Mt-07 is a great beginner bike. Plenty of power but still very forgiving for newer riders. Yes it’s punchy and torquey but just be easy with that right wrist and it can be very smooth and approachable. And you can grow into it and still have a blast. . I’ve owned a few 1000cc sport bikes and when I rode the mt-07 I still had so much fun and am considering buying one. Unless you’ve legitimately never ridden a motorcycle before and are just starting out I’d say get the 07 if so start with the 03 to get comfortable with riding:)

Hi all, european here. I'm a bikless squid, and will be for a couple more years (waiting to be 24 to be able to jump directly to the unrestricted biking licence). But when I do get it, I'd not mount a Busa straight away. I'm planning on getting something around the 650cc power band (max. about 70kw/93-95bhb) to be able to restrict it to an A2 level to avoid having to buy two bikes in a relatively short time span. What my quiestion would be is whether it is a viable option or not (regardless of any specific bikes, looking mostly at ADV/classic style/scrambler/naked/cafe bikes)? What does one have to know about this "restriction"option? I've seen that there are bikes that can come as factory restricted (if bought new), or a restrictir kit can be installed (this would be more probable for me, not wanting to trash a new bike). Or should I just play it safe/tradtional and go for a lower cc bike first? Thanks in advance. Peace!
