Agreed. I've had mine since June. The bike changes dramatically after breaking it in. It's a smooth ride under 5k rpm.. but very snappy and responsive at 5k and up.
I love my Trident, it's a bit harder to handle on low speed manuevers than mt07 - possibly due to firmer suspension on Triumph. Nonetheless it rips through corners lovely. The whine over 6k is just amazing, quickshifter adds to the experience, I love ripping it through the twisties. My only complaint is the same as Spite's - the cutout in the tank is just in the wrong place. I'm 6'0 and about 32 inch insem (european here so not sure if I did my math correctly). I could use higher pegs or simply different shape of the cutout. However once you ride it this doesn't bother you at all. The bike is amazing for beginners. Pulls from 2k RPM in the city like nothing, and the power curve is amazing. I would choose jt over the mt07 anytime. Michelin tires are awesome aswell. The mt07 is to snatchy on the throttle and Has wonky suspension. Still a lovely bike but I simply think the Trident wins in the category.
Yeah, it's a bit stiff on low speed maneuvers and with my short ass legs it makes it even harder. It's really my only complaint with the bike and I'm just short so I deal with it.

Love my Trident. I heavily considered the MT-07 in my shopping. I had to go with the Trident though, Brand new model, good looking retro styling, and the triple engine. I wanted to stand out from the crowd, I got the crystal white. I think it does everything pretty well. I don't think you can go wrong with either the MT-07, Trident, or SV650. I would still pick the trident though, such class...
I was in the same boat, I narrowed it down to a trident or an MT07. I went the other way though and got the MT. I'll admit I was biased though, because I did my motorcycle training on MT07s, and I just loved them the moment I got on them. Tried a kawasaki of the same engine size and hated it immediately... It was just something about the light weight, instant torque that I got on with I think.
Both are great, but the Trident styling has me leaning that way. Not to mention options like a quick shifter and Bluetooth connectivity (navigation) which I'd love to have on my bike. Can't go wrong either way though.
Don't listen to these two idiots. These are NOT beginner bikes. 75 and 80 hp respectfully. Get a USED 250 to 500cc bike. I own a brand new Trident. It is stupid fast. It's probably my 30th bike. I also currently have a tiger 1200 XCA for the long trips. The pros of the trident, ABS, traction control, throttle by wire, the looks. The sound, TFT screen, 2 ride modes. it shifts perfectly, crisp..Bluetooth connectivity, $8200. the cons, the seat sucks, the engine produces a ton of heat. The mirrors suck, handlebars are tight. They need to be wider. They need bar risers too. No other complaints. It's so much fun on the very twisty roads of northeast Pennsylvania.
I have a 2020 mt07 and i FUCKING LOVE MY BIKE! Its so frickin fun to ride, good choice for the money. Get an r6 throttle tube with a grip on it, shorter throw, makes such a big difference along with taking away just a little throttle freeplay, totally changes the feel especially on downshift blips. Got an rsc clutch and the clutch pull is so light and smooth.

Theres no way you will regret the mt07, very solid and well put together bike
I bought my MT07 3 days ago and just love it. I've had a 675 Street Triple and loved it for over 6 years. I was really torn between these bikes but I didn't want with another euro bike. Parts for the MT07 are so readily available and less expensive.
Mt07 is def going to be my first choice for a bike however one thing to keep in mind. You guys knock the z650 and other bikes for being "boring" but like the mt07 because of reason that some starter riders to not go with (bad suspension and too snappy throttle). Maybe a bike like the z or triumph and other "boring" bikes may be better for starters because they are smoother to learn on. Gotta keep in mind guys. You guys have years and many bikes worth of experience while other creators may recommend a more boring starter bike because of learning and can then grow into an mt07 or a sport bike. Just food for thought
My wife and I literally own both these bikes. Mines the triumph 660 and hers is the MT07 but we switch often. I agree the Triumph is the superior of the two in styling and is a much more refined motorcycle. I like both these bikes but I disagree with Yam and Spites statement that the Triumph isn't as "playful" as the Yamaha. We bought the MT07 because we got a super great deal but the Triumph was the better bang for the buck out of the two in my opinion because of all the standard equipment and electronics. The 660 is every bit as "fun" and "playful" as the MT07 and Yam and Spite are wrong on this one in my humble opinion.
@@ChrisWolf75 that you experienced similar if not the same amount of fun on the triumph and they didn’t. was the one you rode serviced? maybe the ride by wire throttle opened up after it was broken in?
@@kamprikorn I think yami guys don't think refinement is fun. The MT-07 is less refined, more raw. To them its more fun. I own the Trident by the way, I love the refinement. Its such an complete package, well thought out for the majority of riders. Unfortunately Yami just wants to be a hoonigan.
Got the trident back in April after riding Harley’s all my life. Right at 6’ and I feel very comfortable. Yoshimura pipe and over 15,000 miles, some from IA to CA an back to IA. Amazing bike. Highly recommend. Very versatile.
Yam daddy is gonna worship the aprilia for no good reason and declare it the winner because they probably pay him to say it’s the best motorcycle ever made. The R7 may get “It’s a decent bike, lacking on power. Ergos are decent. Price is ok. Back to the Aprilia.”
@@michaelgriffin1601 yesyesyes, thats exactly it, the effortless ease it can whip baby wheelies in second gear, the sound with a nice akrapovic on, its just pure emotion and fun.
Alot of the complaints on the Trident are true.....DURING THE BREAK IN PERIOD.... I noticed the one you are using is still in that mode. I have one and once I hit that 1k km mark, the bike just opened up. No more weird "strain" on the RPMs like its holding itself back. At 1k km the RPM stopped flashing on the speedo and it felt like a completely different bike. It was like someone took the choke collar off. The whine was now there and lept through the RPMS making using the quickshifter a joy..... so please Yams...give it another shot AFTER the ( i think) 600 mile mark when the gauge stops flashing. Something unlocks in that machine and its a blast to ride now.
it has a special map for the running in period specifically so that the engine can actually run itself in instead of getting it's full performance taken immediately. same as a C8 corvette.
@@anonym3017 yes its really odd and quite frankly off-putting while I was in that time so I have complete sympathy for those that tried it or have it during that mode...cause ...ugh... It was like it was struggling all the time and did not want to go past 5k RPM ( the bike..not me) I was not expecting such a change when I hit the 1k mark but man was that a game changer and a solidifying reassurance I got the right bike :)
@@trextexting yeah it doesn't want to go past 5k because you aren't supposed to take it to super high revs during break in. and you also aren't supposed to demand full power from it at any rpm. so triumph puts in a second map that is active until the running in period is complete which puts a soft limit on RPMs and limits torque to 70 os so percent at all RPMs. with the upside being that youir engine gets properly run in and will live quite a bit longer than if itr weren't properly run in. again. It's the same stuff as on a C8 corvette for exactly the same purpose. it even says that in the manual.
@@yammienoob Truth. It’s mechanical noise due to straight cut gears which the Trident doesn’t have. It’s not just going to appear after break in. If that was the case the other triples would react the same way which they don’t.
I have a 2020 MT07 and it’s cheap and fun I paid $8k out the door for mine last year and was money well spent. Never got to do exhaust yet but the R6 throttle tube was the best mode yet. No extra power but a lot less twist to get the power.
When in doubt, get an SV 650. There’s a reason they are building those since 1999. And it even saves you some bucks, which you can then spend on pizza and ice cream.
Do you think it is worth buying a 2021 MT07 at this point, or do you think Yamaha will update the suspension for the 2022 lineup to better compete with the Trident 660?
Might as well get an older one and look into the suspension. Replacing the fork oil for a thicker one will help quite a bit alone. Just search Dave Moss mt07.
I don’t know man, everyone says the MT-07 is awesome, but I had a 2009 Street Triple 675 R (round lights) matte grey with no electronics and you can find a preowned one for cheap and that’s light years better than both the Trident and the Yamaha even if older (fully adjustable suspension, radial brakes)… but watch out: the restyled “drop” lights is softened and dull due to a different gear spacing.
I rode both of these bikes on the Angeles Crest Highway and then up to Monterey. The suspension on the Trident was much much better. In the twisties I didn’t get that nose dive and always seemed to be in the right gear. I agree with the video, the Yamaha is much more herky jerky. Both were very good lane splitting, actually fun.
Yamaha on every corner. Triumph a premium, exclusive bike. Nothing like a triple, torque of V2 and horsepower similar in line four. A taste of both. Yamaha is a great product but European pulls on my heart strings. Like comparing a corvette to a Lambo. They both do the same thing but one is more of an adventure.
As someone whose about 5'6" on a good day I would appreciate you guys having someone a tad shorter on these bikes during comparisons! Not the end of the world, but man the mental gymanstics of trying to figure out how someone 6" taller than me fits compared to me is hard sometimes lolol
I’m 6’6’’ and there is one really easy solution to this problem. Just jump on the bike you are interested in… Your dealer will be mooooore than happy to let you try.
Yammie would it be possible to do a Trident before and after ecu flash comparision. It would be interesting to see how much effect it has especially in the lower gears.
I still have my 15', FZ-07. Yamaha hit a sweet spot with the engine, it has the perfect combination of torque and power down in most of the range, it's all about the engine with this bike and you can't stop having fun with it. It's true, other bikes might have better this or that but it's the engine that makes a bike fun. Just stop wondering and get an MT-07 ... turn that frown upside down.

flaws can also get you killed, we are talking about motorcycling after all. I tried both 2021 mt 07 and trident, and tbh i really preferred trident over mt, such a joy to ride through the city.
Not a fan of the MT07 myself, if I had to choose 1 word I would say it’s immature. Not a fan of the pogo stick suspension, the braking isn’t as good as others in its class. Big fan of the CB650R personally, such a polished, refined bike for the price, with a very linear inline 4.
Great way to send out a mixed message about a beginner motorcycles. Better forks, suspension , smoother throttle. Isn't that what you look for in a beginner motorcycle ?

I am a mature rider who purchased a Trident for some fun. It is a blast with the Quickshifter but certainly could use some additional low end torque. As an entry level bike you could do worse. Anyone above that skill level will want more. I plan on selling it and I shall purchase a XSR900. Just waiting to see what this XSR GP is going to be all about. BTW…XSR900 comes with a QS and cruise control which is a tad odd, but OK.
I just picked up my first bike a few weeks ago the xsr700 and I was debating between that and the trident. I love the Yamaha and it looks like I made the right decision
OC! Which do I like more the MT07 or the Trident? Put it this way I totaled my 2017 FZ07 and took the insurance money and purchased a 2009 Ducati Monster 1200. I'm currently in the processes of selling or trading with a cash kicker the Ducati so I can ride a FZ/MT07 again. The bike is just too much fun to not ride one.
My 2020 mt07 is sooooo fun to ride, so much low end torque thats useable without ringing the rpms out. Engine is so smooth and sounds amazing. I ride it around twisty colorado mountain twisties all the time and i think it handles just fine unless youre some sort of track purest. It wheelies so easy. Perfect ergonomics in between comfort and aggressive, can still get aggressive with the big tank cutouts. Such a good everyday bike that is just fun af to ride. Would highly recommend, unless youre tracking it the suspension seems just fine to me. Power curve is so linear, very easy bike to ride at any skill level. Idk how the 2021 has a jurky throttle? My 2020 is so smooth on and off, wierd to hear that.
@@michaelgriffin1601 thanks for that answer. People on yt scare me a bit coz of a suspension....they say it is soft or that it has strange feeling. I think it is the best option. What do you think is it worth buying new motorcycle like r7 for year or two. I dont want to loose to much money on it
I am just mystified as to why Triumph castrated the Street Triple engine. The last generation 675 engine routinely dynos mid 90's HP. Is Euro 5 just sooooo restrictive as to gut the lovely triple of 20 HP? Perhaps an interesting comparison would be the last gen Street Triple 675R and the MT07 and RS660.
Why don't motorcycles have centre stands any more? In most cases, parking the bike on a center stand is more stable, if you have a rear puncture, if you need to oil the chain. I have the 2000 CBR600 F4 around 200kg wet 100HP AND it has a center stand. Sure, you could make the argument for a track bike, but what is the excuse for these learner mobiles?
So in comparison of BEGINNER bikes the mt07 is better because you have to wrestle it and it pops wheelies? Sounds like you guys are comparing which small bike is more fun for experienced riders... which is probably not the ideal market as compared to new riders.
I love how Spite just can't bring himself to even hint that he might like anything about the Trident in any video he's on it. *EDIT* I guess that's not a completely fair statement, but as someone who bought a Trident, he seems against it more so than other bikes.
Given he finds the bike cramped that isn't terribly surprising. He isn't into it even when it's off. As a 5ft 3in dude I find the Trident extremely comfortable, albeit a little too tall.
@@stevenpuckitt212 I was halfway tempted to consider thinking about buying the Trident, but when Spite sat on it and he said it was very cramped an uncomfortable for him that was a deal breaker for me. I’m 6’4 with quite long legs, so it wouldn’t work for me. Funny story, I went to a dealership and sat on a Honda 50cc dirtbike and my legs were so long I had to spread them out because they were above the handle bars, and I wasn’t coming anywhere close to being able to shift or use the rear brake. I was so so sad about that for the longest time because I wanted one so bad.
The worst part was when he complained about his feet getting caught up on the pegs. I got size 14 boots and have no problem whatsoever so it looks like the guy is just looking for shit to complain about.
Fun review, thanks. Three questions. If you bought an MT07 would you get a new cartridge for the front forks? Seems to be the main let down? Secondly, did you get to really push either bike around tight corners? Finally, where I live the Suzuki GSX S750 is the same prices as the base Trident. Any chance of reviewing this as an option? Thanks
I'm debating between these two or a step up to the GSX S750. Currently on an ER6N and wondering if these two will feel like an upgrade or more of a lateral move
Having ridden the ER6N, Z650, CB650R, MT07 during lessons & owning a SV650. I feel like if you've owned an ER6N for a prolonged amount of time, you probably feel like it might be lacking a little on the highway as well. It runs fairly high in the RPM's in sixth gear going 70mph. I think an upgrade to a gsxs750 would be a great idea, I've heard it's ergonomic & Steers very light. An upgrade to a 900cc would be good as well. Like a z900. The ER6N and Z650 feel identical. In comparison with the MT07, the ER6N feels underwhelming, a bit underpowered, suspension is better in corners though. Clutch pull is amazing on the ER6N, however I feel like the left foot gear pedal feels a bit weird, like it's a tad too far away. I can't give my two cents on the triumph trident. However I can tell from the engine difference between CB650R & ER6N that an inline 4 will perform a lot better on stretches of highway, especially the vibrations.
@@Kitchenappliance996 wow that's actually really helpful, thanks. I've considered going 900 but not sure if I need thaat much power and it's another insurance class up so I'm hoping 750 will be perfect. Definitely have to ride one but leaning heavily toward the GSX S750, thanks man!
@@matt7984 anytime! In that case, if I were you. I'd totally go for the gsx s750. I'd imagine 115HP inline 4 sounds about perfect to perform everything well. A jump from 650 to another 650 won't be a huge difference. I'm considering a secondhand gsxs750 as well :) enjoy!

Ok so MT 07 is an awesome bike along with the Trident 660. Cool there's only one problem. THEY'RE NONE LEFT IN THE UNITED STATES. They're all sold out. I've talk to 2 of my Yamaha dealers and my Triumph dealership and neither of them are getting any new or used ones till next year. So those 2 are off my list.
Heres a request for a future video: Put a $200 tune on the Trident then remake this video. Everyone knows the Trident has been nurtured from birth out of the factory, just don’t know how much. we want to know what it’s capable of out of the box if you simply rework the mapping. I’ve had a Trident for about 4 months and I was already thinking about my next bike. Until i put a $200 DNK tune on it. never, I repeat never, has a tune changed the character of a bike like it does with the trident. Utterly different machine and it’s a blast to ride. I think even you will be surprised with how much torque limiting and ‘smoothing’ they’ve done at the factory. Need you to make it happen. Game on!
Hey, that’s good to know! Would the tune void the warranty? I’m a newer rider and I bought a Trident. I’d be willing to to tune once I’d like some more pazzaz from her.
Hi Yammy and Spite, is the Trident you are reviewing in this video still in Run In Mode? If so, that accounts for the feeling of being held back you noted of the engine. After the run in period the bike opens up. Cheers
Have you try Triumph trident with TC off. Because sometime that TC make the engine smoother. But may be ,"MAY BE" , if you turn off the TC from trident i could also rev more.
A corvette and Ferrari do the same thing. One is more of an adventure vs just a commute. I enjoy looking at a Lambo or Ferrari almost as much as driving one. I would probably buy the Triumph over the Yamaha because of that fact. Yamahas are on every corner. Triumph is a premium brand and pulls on my heart strings. It is beautiful to look at. Triple engines are very unique as almost a V4 but a little rougher character.
I think the yammie is a one trick pony. Ie:the engine it's a little growler, next to the smoother trident. Has therefore been dismissed by you guys. But it seems to me triumph wanted a more user friendly bike for less experienced riders. It's built better and has superior handling and to me looks way better. And sometimes, you don't always want to just ring the neck out of your bike. I, m gonna wait a year for the mildly revised trident which is inevitable, with any kinks(ie:wooly throttle) ironed out and buy this baby.

@@leeinwis Husqvarna Svartpilen/Vitpilen 125cc offers two modes: street and rain. I don't know why. Maybe because they exist in 401 version (and 125 is alsmost a copy of 401 with smaller displacement engine).
I got the diablo. It's such a good looking design. So clean.
I learn to drive on yamaha, but im getting trident, love this bike!
Guys what about Honda CB 650? Why did you guys not choose it?
Both are great, but the Trident styling has me leaning that way. Not to mention options like a quick shifter and Bluetooth connectivity (navigation) which I'd love to have on my bike. Can't go wrong either way though.
The front end of the Yamaha reminds me of a giant bug. I don't like bugs...so I'd take the Triumph.
I'm okay with this desgin but the MT10 design is the stuff of nightmares, sooooooooooo ugly
I like the classical music Yams uses because it's different from the generic rock or generic neo-hip hop everyone else uses.
Thank you
Perfect timing! Was making my decision between the two this week and this was the final push I needed to go with the MT07!
@@michaelgriffin1601 im getting a new bike soon. And I’m leaning towards the mto7. I know it’s not all about speed but I want something pretty fast that I can get the hang of without feeling unimpressed or that I’ll die on the back of it
@@robsantiago8251 go with it, i got mine a year ago, its such a fun bike to ride it stamps a smile on your face every time, the sound of it can be enjoyable after 4k rpm even with the stock massive exhaust, if you get a full akrapovic the sound is simply the best out of the 650cc naked bikes.
My 2018 MT-07 just rolled over 17,000 miles and I’m still loving it! Just wish it had cruise control.
Triumph's styling is clear
@@ChrisWolf75 thats weird
kameron holloway what's weird about it?
Wahoo! The review we’ve been waiting for! Next please do RS 660 vs R7🤞🏻🤞🏻
Yam daddy is gonna worship the aprilia for no good reason and declare it the winner because they probably pay him to say it’s the best motorcycle ever made. The R7 may get “It’s a decent bike, lacking on power. Ergos are decent. Price is ok. Back to the Aprilia.”
Very nice video one again you should also do a comparison between cb650 r and trident 660 I love bong and don’t know which to pick
Great review. Been riding for over twenty years and reckon MT is the best bike I’ve ever had. Guaranteed grin every ride!
Spent the past 2.5 years in South America, nice to see u running through Austin. Coming back this March- and get my MT 07- Thanks, *A.
I have a 2020 MT 07, and was waiting for you to use the word I use to best describe it, and you did at the end: Raucous.
Best bike ive ever owned, dont think ill ever get rid of mine. Makes you want to be a hooligan lol
@@michaelgriffin1601 yesyesyes, thats exactly it, the effortless ease it can whip baby wheelies in second gear, the sound with a nice akrapovic on, its just pure emotion and fun.
I ride my cb125r for a year, done 6000miles. Now I got the trident and I love it. Everything is controlable... Only a few little things to pick on.
Doubt - the engine doesn't have the straight cut gears so it won't whine and whistle like a 675. Our points still stand
@@yammienoob Truth. It’s mechanical noise due to straight cut gears which the Trident doesn’t have. It’s not just going to appear after break in. If that was the case the other triples would react the same way which they don’t.
Love being the exact same size as yammie, perfect for trying to figure out whether I’ll fit on a bike nice or not
Ty for this, yous had me considering the trident, but the MT is Def what I want.
Most thorough reviews on RUclips. Thanks!
Sorry guys, the Trident is far more refined, better finish, better electronics, better everything. It's like comparing a Jaguar to a Subaru
I have a 2020 MT07 and it’s cheap and fun I paid $8k out the door for mine last year and was money well spent. Never got to do exhaust yet but the R6 throttle tube was the best mode yet. No extra power but a lot less twist to get the power.
I’ve been waiting for this video!!!!
When in doubt, get an SV 650. There’s a reason they are building those since 1999.
And it even saves you some bucks, which you can then spend on pizza and ice cream.
Love my 2018 SV. Did a couple mods, but for my purpose, it checks all the boxes. Don’t care about a TFT display on my toy.
As much as I don't like Suzuki I kinda have to agree on this one. It's just a perfect balance between fun and usability in a really solid chassis.
@Richard Hart Nah you're over pushing gsxr suck.
Exactly, tried both these two and still ended up buying a SV, just a fantastic bike with bags of character, 3 year warranty and a big cash saving.
I was gonna get an MT07 but my brother said he'll give me his trident when he upgrades to an MT-09. Im hyped the trident is such a sick bike too.
Suspension and brakes should always be tuned according to rider's weight and preferences.
Great review!
Do you think it is worth buying a 2021 MT07 at this point, or do you think Yamaha will update the suspension for the 2022 lineup to better compete with the Trident 660?
This is the reason i am holding back on a new MT7. Dont want to mess about with suspension on a new bike, no matter how good the motor is
Might as well get an older one and look into the suspension. Replacing the fork oil for a thicker one will help quite a bit alone. Just search Dave Moss mt07.
Was an MT07 headlight hater at first but they've grown so much on me! Love them now 🙌
I don’t know man, everyone says the MT-07 is awesome, but I had a 2009 Street Triple 675 R (round lights) matte grey with no electronics and you can find a preowned one for cheap and that’s light years better than both the Trident and the Yamaha even if older (fully adjustable suspension, radial brakes)… but watch out: the restyled “drop” lights is softened and dull due to a different gear spacing.
My boy spite with the foot down turn at 18:09.
Sheeeesh
Just jump on the bike you are interested in…

The Triumph is just classier. Performance difference is immaterial.
(PS) Spike looks better on the Triumph.
Apparently dudes name is Spite..... who knew?
BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
So I decided to make my bike faster so, I bought a gym membership.
2 years later I'm reading this road test and I just don't "get" their outcome....It makes no sense if judging by a bike finer points against another bikes finer points....I thought that was what it was all about.
Great video! My heart goes to TT660!
So the MT 07 is better because it is flawed relative to the Trident? Interesting twisted logic.
I'll take the the well behaved Trident.
CHARACTER
Quirks and character is what gives it the soul that evokes emotions thus making it more attractive
@@dukeviper8385 "Character" does NOT equal poor & flawed riding characteristics! I find this position plain stupid. It is the exact reverse. Fine handling is "character".....the character to enable the rider to do exactly what he wants up to his full limits of skill.
And that is NOT the MT 07.
flaws can also get you killed, we are talking about motorcycling after all.
Rewatch the beginning and listen to what we were doing in the video
Did catch which one is more fun or raw fun to ride. Reading the Title of video it just might confuse newbie to riding. But another great video. You guy's and ladies keep the great work up.
hey, ive got my mt07 last year, and it was my first 2 wheeled vehile with an engine in it EVER, and i absolutely love it, its the sort of bike that you can start on, and decide ultimately that you wanna keep for years to come because its so freaking fun that it stamps a massive smile on your face every time you bring it out of the garage and do the first 2nd gear pull.
The bike is just too much fun to not ride one.
finally this comparison. was looking at mt 07 for quite a while, actually want a sports bike but 600 cc are to powerful and aprilia to expensive....
Why not the ninja?
There's the Yamaha R7, Honda CBR650R, and the Kawasaki Ninja 650.
I dont like ninja. I am thinking about r 7 but depends on the price
Damn nice review. now i know what bike to get.❤️
I can’t believe yamaha haven’t fixed the pogo stick front end :(
There were 2 things to fix. The suspension and the seat. They fixed neither. :(
So its like a Gentleman vs Hooligan huh? I just want to cruise and take it easy so trident for me then.
So which bike would take the "so perfect it's boring" crown - the Trident or CB650R?
So in comparison of BEGINNER bikes the mt07 is better because you have to wrestle it and it pops wheelies? Sounds like you guys are comparing which small bike is more fun for experienced riders... which is probably not the ideal market as compared to new riders.
I love how Spite just can't bring himself to even hint that he might like anything about the Trident in any video he's on it.
*EDIT* I guess that's not a completely fair statement, but as someone who bought a Trident, he seems against it more so than other bikes.
That’s because he doesn’t own one. He has no interest and is honest when compared to the wide range of bikes he gets to ride
I got ride of my MT07 recently because I was certain I needed more power and better suspension.

Shopping both, but trident is so much sexier. I can just look at it. Love what you say about Throttle on mt07.
The best thing about the MT07 is that you can get it as a XSR700, which does not look like hot garbage
Unless you're 5'5 like myself...that +32" seat breaks my heart.
Thanks
This is very well done !

They only ship motorcycles in the US
Papa Yam mentioning how many fucking Daytonas he's owned never fails to make me laugh.
FIVE time Daytona owner by the way LOL.

What are you getting instead?
Yeah, so true. Luckily there was one in stock at my local Triumph dealer. Got it yesterday and I couldn't be happier.
I don’t understand anything 3 or 4 cylinder under 900cc. Unless if it’s made for track use which most bikes don’t.thanks for comparison.
Would you ship giveaway bikes to the UK and does YN MOTO ship worldwide?
unfortunately no, they only give bikes to people who live in America
Hi Yammy and Spite, is the Trident you are reviewing in this video still in Run In Mode? If so, that accounts for the feeling of being held back you noted of the engine. After the run in period the bike opens up. Cheers
Have you try Triumph trident with TC off. Because sometime that TC make the engine smoother. But may be ,"MAY BE" , if you turn off the TC from trident i could also rev more.
What about shaking? does the mt07 shake a lot in higher rpms?
No, it's a very smooth engine.
I don't agree with the "on/off" switch throttle feel being fun. I drove an mt03 for a year and it makes it feel cheap and unrefined.
Great comparison Vid!! What audio set up are you using to hear both of you so clearly? Thanks
Exactly! This is the same dude trying to get people in 250’s as beginners. I think the trident should be commended for its user friendliness (beginner bike characteristics)
