Not going to lie. I've been side eyeing Diddy ever since he made the band walk to get that cheesecake. I'm not even saying this to be funny, that was some bad energy.
growing up in miami in the 2000s/early 2010s my family and ppl in my neighborhood always told me stories about diddy since he frequently partied in the clubs out there and did a lot of business there so i always seen him as a weirdo from the shit i was told 😂
I just want to make a quick comment while this video is fresh. FD, thanks for helping a clueless Midwestern white dude understand black culture and issues. I don't have much exposure to it, and you have helped to educate me. Even if you never read this, I wanted to thank you. So, thank you!
I'm an African who loves my American black brothers and sisters, and I've always wanted to learn more about their culture which is beloved worldwide. FD has been awesome with his educational vidz. Much luv from Kenya 🫶🏿🇰🇪
@@samm552 For real. I'm white and British but I love learning more about different people. We are all brothers and sisters. It's a shame some people never realize it.

Patriarchy has no gender and there was a woman handling Cassie and keeping her in those rooms just gave me chills in the worst way. It’s like something I KNEW but can’t even imagine if that makes sense.
Ghislaine Maxwell. when the fbi & interpol bust alot of sex trafficking rings some of the worst abusers in them tend to be women who 'recruit' or 'handle' the victims. Hell some of the biggest ones are even run by women.
There ya go! This is a much bigger problem in this society, it extends across government, business, entertainment, and sports. This is the conversation that needs to be had.
Diddy had 4 rappers on Bad Boy so shook by what they saw, they all turned to all 3 Abrahamic religions. Mase/Craig Mack to Christianity, Loon to Islam, and Shyne to Judaism. Biggie dead, Black Rob dead, Kim Porter dead. Diddler lore has been around in hip-hop forum spaces for 25yrs. But I'd also like for ppl do dig into Clive Davis and Arista and the music industry shennanigans as a whole.
I feel like we need to bring back something like behind the music for Gen z. I don't know if it's just like the death of celebrity culture or its social media but I feel like people have forgotten is that like the music industry he's like maybe one of the most exploitative industries especially for black people despite the massive amounts of wealth that you can achieve within it. Like we need artists to have a socially acceptable venue for them to talk about getting screwed over on these contracts.
Enjoyed it many times on Nebula already, just coming to give some love. Im hoping we as a people will start to address more of the underlying causes of these issues. Sadly, that requires us to address how capitalism actually works, through the exploitation of others.
You got everything but one key piece to Diddy’s story is his 1st run-in with the law after his Howard days where he hosted a basketball tournament at City College where sadly 9 people lost their lives after being trampled.
Me to my boyfriend: going to the movies is so much work, it’s hard to find time to watch something for two straight hours F.D. video releases: drop everything, must be Attentive
Im 28 so I remember my mama having Confessions of a Video Vixen book but ofc at age 10 she was like "don't read my books, you too young!x So i bought the book for my fiance and i to read last year and im so glad you brought up this book. I believe its a book that every black woman should read. Its vulnerable, raw, and tells you the good, bad, and ugly of such an industry and as someone who did do Adult work for awhile to make money to feed me and my minor brother, Elizabeth (Karrine) really opened my eyes and made me reflect on so much
I think a discussion about sexual abuse, pedophilia and 🍇 is necessary. The current events expose a widespread problem in this country. R Kelly,P Diddy and Bill Cosby is the tip of iceberg. I feel that this goes on in every community, race, socioeconomic level, profession, sexuality etc.
Whats the difference between. Hugh Hefner and Diddy??? Perception fuelled by the media will have people lauding a man who made money from sex exploitation for over 50 years will have society lauding him. Whiles Diddy rightfully I must add is now vilified and condemned. Cognitive Dissonance is a muthafucka
I don't think casual listeners really knew how bad it was. The other thing is that when you are enveloped in the world of poverty you are so accustomed to exploitation that most of it seems normal. I didn't know about Diddy's behavior before the lawsuit, but I believed her immediately. I'm not bragging and that isn't a flex. It scares me when I actually think about it because I have to actually deal with the fact that women are never going to be safe. All of those people were watching him abuse countless women and none of them cared until they got sued or their reputation was tarnished. Jay-Z literally didn't say a damn thing until now and we all know that at best he knew and didn't care. Women won't be free until people actually see us as people and that isn't going to happen any time soon.
I absolutely love your analysis. My one critique is not enough discussion of how his parties were considered the number one event of any year. I was a teenager and I knew about the all white Hampton‘s parties. He was such a part of the media zeitgeist in the 2000s. All of it was happening under our nose and in our face at the same time. To all of the kids who are too young to know about how big he was at that time, he was literally as popular as Paris Hilton, Britney Spears and all of the top stars of the 2000s.

I'm hoping to make my own content soon and fingers crossed it can be even half as good as what you make, man. Much appreciated that you put out such incredible videos. No ones doing quite like this

My cousin is a tour bus driver and knows a few people in the industry, including someone in Diddy’s crew (I think bodyguard). One day he was talking to the guy and Diddy FaceTimed him and my cousin got to say hey. After the call was done my cousin asked if his daughter, who’s a really good singer, could potentially meet Diddy so she could get her career started.
