Not really it's just gonna be heavier but the power is gonna be like 3-5hp more just to be a A2 bike. There was already a version of the MT-03 with 660cc it was the first gen check it out it's pretty dope looking and slightly heavier with 48hp.
My advice For All beginner riders: 1) if you are truly new to riding please understand that riding requires a lot of skill, attention, patience, and respect for these machines. I've been riding for years and I still make mistakes, so keep that in mind, your not a pro and your not practicing for the TT Isle of Man on regular streets so don't act like it. Cycle Cruza always talks about defensive riding and that's something that takes practice over time. 2) Practice, Practice, Practice. No matter what bike you choose whether it's a 300, 600, or 1000 (definitely don't recommend for beginners). You need to practice on that bike. Every bike is different and just like a brand new car it takes a while to get used to all the controls everywhere. Find an isolated place and practice everything - cornering, shifting, braking, everything before you head out on these streets. 3) what you can afford? If you can afford a nice bike as a beginner rider go for it! but, know this, your going to drop that bike I promise you. You'll forget something because it's not natural to you yet, kickstand etc.. So buy yourself a bike to practice and learn on and not something to show off to your friends and family. Hey it's ok if they laugh at your 250 or 300 just get something to practice on the streets with that your going to drop because it will happen so no sense of buying an expensive bike. 4) Also, my advice don't buy a used bike. I bought plenty of used bikes and only ran into more trouble as a beginner rider because your not going to know what's broken with your bike when something is not right. Just like a car you need to feel it, it's 10 times more with a bike. 5) Lastly, just my option, but they say a bike is cheaper than a car, I'm here to tell you that's slightly true. Yes, it saves on gas and everything else but if your buying a bike to save money your not going too as a beginner rider. I recommend the best gear always when riding, but especially as a beginner, and gear is expensive but trust me you want the best gear money can buy and that shouldn't be an option for you when riding. Over the years your going to want to put new shiny toys on your bike and that will be expensive as well. Good luck, stay safe!
You give some good advice. As a new rider, I took MSF course, but I also learned a lot "the hard way". :( But I have to disagree on one point. For a new rider buying a new bike is not wise because, you'll be selling it in the near future for a bigger one and will lose more money on that sale. Plus, as you said, if/(when) you drop your first bike, the damage won't feel so bad.
Personally I went from a 30mph ebike to a 2021 MT03. I'm extremely new to riding and the 03 was perfect, Perfect throttle throw for a beginner, great seat height, Excellent wet weight makes it easy to toss around, the clutch is SUPER forgiving and the brakes aren't bad.. not great but abs helps... I did TRY a MT07 but it was a bit taller to me (5'4) and i felt super uncomfortable with the throttle response and torque on demand.
I’m leaning towards the 7 because I want something that sounds menacing. I know it’s on the very edge of what’s acceptable for beginners, but I am not a hooligan
I'm also a newbie, bought my first bike; its an MT but its 155cc... Redlines at 12,000 rpm but I never push it that hard... Top speed is around 85 miles/hr but max I do is 55...🙂
2020 MT--03 as my first bike 3 years ago. Still riding it and recently put on a clip-on setup on it. Not sure if I'll ever upgrade or get a bigger bike since I'm so satisfied with the MT-03. Super forgiving and doesn't intimidate with so much extra power. Just revving the little engine to max always brings a smile to my face haha!
I got a MT 03 last week and this is what I want to be like. Everyone is saying you'll want a bigger and better bike or youll outgrow the new bike you get and im over here wondering why would I if the MT 03 has the power I want and gives me everything I want from it? I plan to keep it for awhile!
Congrats man! I feel like everyone has a different goal in mind, to keep going big or to just enjoy the ride, etc. But in the end it's what matters to you. Enjoy the bike and ride safe, brother! 🤜🤛
@@eskimobo4 thanks! I have been a part of the car community and it's low key toxic but I got into motorcycles and the community is so helpful and welcoming the difference between the two is wildly different. I've rode like 50 miles total so I'm very very new to this but I love it! Thanks for your nice words, you ride safe as well :)
@@wolfattackz187I'm not new to bikes, I'm more into handling, abrupt lane changes, agility than power,, I've heard this bike is more nimble which is what I'm looking for. Having said you that have one what do you recommend mt07 or this one more affordable?? Would really appreciate your opinion! 🤙

Great advise CC. I love my MT03 but ready to move up after 2 yrs of riding. Getting a new MT07 this year. I remember my MSF course. 3 guys ate the concrete on Honda Rebel 250s. Starting out slow is the way to go. Plus the MT03s hold their value very well. As long as u dont trade it in at the dealer of course.
You are wise. All of the small bikes hold their value very well, especially the MT-03 and MT-07, also the Ninja 400 and 650 hold their value really well.
I was a beginner rider in 2019. I purchased a 2019 CB500F for my first bike and sold it within 10 months. I upgraded to a 2020 SV650. Hindsight, I wish I would’ve purchased the SV650 as my first bike. I would recommend the SV650. I own both a 2020 SV650 and a 2022 MT-07. My SV650 has a smooth throttle response unlike my MT-07. Also, the SV650 has a feature called throttle assist for stop to go and slow speed maneuvering. BTW, I also own a 2020 DRZ400SM. It’s another great bike I would recommend for a beginner.
Great vid, CC! I've been eyeballing a 22, Z650 at a local dealer. While I was there, I saw the MT-03. I really like the way it looks and the performance stats on the engine. I'm about to say goodbye to my 19, H-D 48. I'm 65 and it's time for a smaller, lighter bike which I KNOW will be a blast to ride. Really thinking hard about the MT-03. Your vid was bump in this direction. Thank you!! And bless you for being the "real deal."
MT03 forsure, i started on an R3 and it was some of the best times on a bike. Commuted, tracked, traveled, dropped, fixed, rode aimlessly, etc etc i did it all. Gave me a hint of the sportbike feel with a lot of forgiveness, inspired confidence, and it let me put her through hell when it was that time to hoon around. I miss that little thing and i am so glad i started “small”. I’m on that whole spice of life thing and have gone through various different bikes since but currently settled with an FZ10, FZ07, XT250, and TW200. The FZ10 is my forever bike, the CP4, the looks, the feel, all of it i just know that bike is meant for me. My lil dualsports are for all the fun i need for the dirt and some road. The FZ07… She’s great and gives me some R3 vibes due to its practicality and lightness, the punchy CP2 that makes my work commutes worth it every single time BUT! A big BUT! Its just not for me, all the the things about it that bother me can be fixed but i’d rather put my money elsewhere. I too am a Yamaha fanboy but Kawasaki knocked it out the park this year with the ZX4R and will be selling my FZ07 for it. I miss the petiteness of a lil crotch rocket and all day trackdays and fun i had on my R3 and ringing out the top end. In honor of the joy the R3 brought me i will buy the next closest thing to it by sacrificing my CP2 and getting a mini inline 4.
Great video I went to the dealership yesterday to sit in a few bikes. I had my mind set on a MT 07 or R7 to start as a first bike and to say that I felt very uncomfortable sitting on both bikes. A kawasaki ninja 400 felt the most comfortable after sitting on a couple of bikes.
Thanks for being a viewer and your comment. The Ninja 400 is a great first bike and I recommend that too! The Ninja 400 has plenty of power and looks great. For the street, the smaller bikes are more fun. Best of luck to you and make sure to wear all the gear and ride defensively to stay safe: ruclips.net/video/g18byMevjMA/видео.html
@CycleCruza definitely I have a good amount of money set aside for gear also. I do have a question is it possible to create a video with tips and your experience buying from cycle trader ? I been eyeing a few bikes on there. Thank you.
Went from a Navi (last year) to a mt03 this year. Im glad I started on a navi, I could focus on turning and balance without worrying about the clutch and shifting. So going to a mt03 feels a bit natural (Ive driven a manual car before). Im happy with the bike I started on but still have much to learn to upgrade. Thx for the video
On paper the MT-03 is great for beginners, but it is physically too small for many people. I'm 6' tall and about 260 and I am severely cramped on the MT-03. Did a demo ride on one a few years ago and barely made it the half an hour. The MT-07 seems manageable for a beginner but they have to watch the throttle hand. Better still if it came with adjustable power modes.
@@jesterapp I am not obese! I'm quite muscular, much the same size and build as Curt from The Injas channel. I'll rather assume you're quite slender from all the jumping to conclusions you do.
6' and 260 is simply too big for most beginner motorcycles, honestly. I'm 6'1-6'2 and hover between 195-205 with a muscular build-I genuinely can't imagine trying to fit comfortably on most 250cc-400cc with an extra 60 pounds
I completely agree with variety. I started on a ninja 300 and owned a Harley Electraglide and everything in between. I am currently riding a mt-07 and will keep it for a long time. Favorite bike so far!
Guys as a former rider myself I implore all first time riders to get the reasonably smaller CC motorcycle that you can sit comfortably on until you get used to riding shifting and braking. Ride the small bike for 9 months to a year before you step up to larger bikes.
I would also highly recommend the MT03 or the Honda Grom as a beginner bike. The MT07 is a badass bike It may not be the fastest but like you said it has a crap ton of torque and it could set you up for a real effed up day if you don't know how to control the beast.
My insurance cost is more for my mt07 than my sportster. My insurance agent told me it’s more because inexperienced riders buy the mt07 and end up looping it so it is more money to insure it.
I have a Roadking and MT03. I also ride my buddy’s Vulcan quite often. MT03 is the only one that makes me laugh with enjoyment when pulling up to stop lights because it’s just so nimble and fun to wring out. Like you said, faster doesn’t mean better and more fun
Started last year with a mt03 which i love and im upgrading to a mt07. Guys start with a mt03, you ll not regret it and obviously you ll ulgrade eventually butt its much better and safer to start on something you can learn the basics and find your form. I believe a year or 2 with the mt03 will set you up for a mhch better experience.
I would HIGHLY recommend the Yamaha MT03 or R3 for beginner riders (or Kawasaki Ninja 300/400, Honda CB300, Honda Rebel 300, etc...). Anything below 50 horsepower should be good. No beginner bike has dual disc front brakes, no beginner bike has a 180 section rear tire. I rode a Yamaha R3 for 3 years before upgrading to my current Yamaha MT07, that little R3 taught me so much and even after all that the MT07 STILL surprised me with it's torque and I had a couple of times where I would spin up the rear wheel by accident or accidentally wheelie when taking off. The MT07 is no joke, it might be tame compared to bigger 100+ horsepower bikes but it still produces torque like a 600cc but at low revs, it is a well respected bike in the stunting community because it is so easy to wheelie. No wheelie machine should be your first bike. You learn a LOT from riding a smaller bike.
@@Takezo_no_Miyamoto the torque on the MT03 is good enough for city riding and great for beginners. The 0 to 100kmph (0 to 60mph) is like just over 5 seconds if you skilled. The MT07 is about 4 seconds. The MT07 is quite torqey but not out of control, is actually an easy going bike of you smooth on the throttle. If you are a bit older or very mature, and taller than 6ft (180cm) then I think the MT07 COULD work for a beginner but I will always recommend a 300 or 400cc bike for beginners.
@@Takezo_no_Miyamoto I would say get the Yamaha MT03 or Kawasaki Z400. My MT07 will surprise me with a unintentional wheelie in 1st and 2nd gears, not really beginner friendly.
Many people have said I look too tall on my MT-07 and former MT-09, I don't care, I love this MT-07. Yeah I see people riding the little Groms on the street and love it and don't care how big they look on it.
I've wanted a bike since I was 15 (now 34) and I've really latched on to the idea of the MT03. I don't like sport bikes or cruisers with a few exceptions, but Yamaha makes a sexy looking naked bike. I'm also looking at the Honda 300 Rally because I'd love to have a bike that I can use on trails and roads. The price point on Yamaha is very tempting though
The best beginner bike….. GROM! Hands down! You can drag knees, wheelie, race at local go-kart tracks, modify it ad nauseum with millions of parts that are dirt cheap. I started my wife on a Grom, which we kept for 7 years!!!!! After about 6 months of riding, she got a CB500F which is a fantastic bike! Much better than any 300/400cc bikes with many premium features and extremely cheap to own due to Honda Quality and ridiculously low insurance. I’m going to say that the 500cc class is severely under represented and makes a much better beginner platform for real adults in the US.
Good advice. I've had bigger bikes, but have other responsibilities now so I won't be buying a $10.000 bike. There are several other reasons for my interest in the smaller MT-03. I was never a skilled rider and I'd like to be. Formal training on a smaller bike makes learning a lot easier. Secondly, burning less gas is important - not only the for cost of it but also with regard to the pollution from it. And finally, I think there's more fun pushing a slower bike harder than trying to rein in a monster. Smaller bikes are where motorcycling started over a hundred years ago. And smaller bikes defined cafe races and scrambling decades ago. I'm going to restart my riding on the 03 or something like it.
I had a z400 for my beginner bike, I feel like a mt-07 for someone brand new would be so easy to loop and crash on, with how many stories I always see on Reddit of people crashing their bikes 3 times the first day after their MSF is unreal
@buszero1 I’m 6’1 so it still had me a bit hunched over, I’m on a low rider S now for the ergos, I have scoliosis so even naked bikes hurt my back, but other than that it was a great bike
If the process of getting your motorcycle license is as extensive as here in The Netherlands (Europe) than absolutely the MT-07. But for 100% beginners then without a doubt the MT-03
Really, it is a good thing they are so strict in Europe about getting a motorcycle license, I bet it helps prevents fatalities. Here in the U.S. you can just go pass the written test at the BMV and go buy a Kawasaki Ninja H2. 😂 I bet the U.S. has a lot more motorcycle fatalities than in Europe.
@@CycleCruza same thing here, im from europe, Portugal to take my license i've drove first days a cb125 than a cb500f and after 16 hours of riding i had to do the exam that makes me do High way Emergency brake 8 in an incline And drive on busy the streets I've used scooters and dirt bikes before and im a car driver for the last 4 years, never used nothing like an mt 07 but im not 100% new so i decided to get the mt 07 as is one of my dream bikes
50+ year veteran rider here. My recommendations for a new rider is a 80-125cc dirtbike. Learn how to ride off road first. My first bike was a Honda trail 70 that I rode around a farm and rail road track side roads. Honda still makes the bike in a 125 dax.
I bought a brand new yamaha mt-03. I did 50 kilometers first day I purchased it. Voww it is a very impressive bike for its class. And I agree with you about being a Yamaha fanboy. My previous ride was Honda CB300R. And I loved it. But after riding Mt-03 I have no regret to switch to Yamaha.
I got private lessons from someone using a 2020 street triple rs and took my brc test on that bike(you have to supply your own bike in my area). Planing on getting an mt07
I just bought a MT-03 a week ago and have been riding for about 3 days now. I’ve dropped it a few times. I admit it was a bit scary at first stepping up from beat down 250s at my MSF course. It’s got the right amount of demand for respect without feeling like I’m gonna get sent into the stratosphere. I do have a question if you ever see this. Any recommendations on replacement gear shifter lever (left boot)? After dropping my bike a couple times it’s a bit bent and I’ve gotten it looked at/fixed at a mechanic shop but a bit worried for the possible day it’s out of commission and so far I’ve found iffy selections and been lost since. I don’t mind if someone also aside from Cyclecruza gives me some input!
The yamaha mt series just altogether look badass overall especially being naked bikes an the headlights in front at night, they look like eyes an like makes bike look mean, lol,I do love how they sound an the power
If you have never ridden on two wheels I would also suggest buying something used since the chance of dropping it is higher. A good dual sport will take the abuse more than most.
You think going from a Harley 1200cc Forty eight to an MT09 is too big of a jump and instead go to an MT07? I'm still looking for something that i can ride out on 500+ mile adventures which is what i do on my 48 and the stance on the MT's seems like they could probably handle a cross country trip just fine. Some say the 48 isn't nearly good enough for cross country and i think that's 1,000% incorrect because my furthest is 1,300+ miles and it was a dream on my 1200cc. I'm just looking for a change up and a friend recommended an MT09.
For my third bike,I chose mt 03,one is weight an price point,I love how it sounds,I have a starter bike, im moving up to a 150cc next before the Mt 03,I agree to start small an work your way up,I'm not trying to impress anyone, I wanna get to know each bike an the capability it has to offer an as I improve my skill,an second,I choose it for me an more power an just simply riding an commuting an knowing thst it'll handle highway speeds in my area for jobs an what not an slao able to keep up with my buddies on rides,I'm also currently training to get ready to initially one day go ride the tail of the dragon, trying to a lot more experience because it's a super dangerous road for new an inexperienced riders.
I bought a 22 GSX-R 750 I absolutely love it, but I recently sat on a mt-07 and I'm telling ya I fell in love. I'm not a street rossi so I'd much rather have the torque than top end speed, not to mention how dam comfy the ergos are on the mt-07. I almost traded my 750 in right then..lol but I'm gonna pay off the 750 and grab the mt-07 so I'll have both.
What do you think about the Triumph Speed 400 for a first bike? (We’re talking a 66 year old dude who’s never been on a motorcycle in his life) …I was thinking a dual sport Yamaha XT250 because 99% of my riding will be in town (bad traffic areas too DC metro area), but one reason is the cost of parts if (when) I drop it…I figure the Triumph is going to be way more expensive for parts, and the little dual sport Yamaha from what I hear is virtually bulletproof…of course if you get hit or hit something….no bike is bulletproof.
Sup, as a MT09 owner myself I’m looking for a bike for my 16 year old. He has no experience other than my MT09 a hand full of times in a big parking lot. So I’m thinking the MT03 for him when the spring hits here in Connecticut.
Searched for information between these, but where the 07 has limited power (A2 35Kw)..They both have the same amount of power on paper..Anyone who knows more about what the advantages are for buying the more expensive MT-07 instead?
I bought the MT07 as my first bike - the more I watch videos like this it makes me nervous to ride it. I am practicing on a TW200 now - but worried that moving from that to the MT07 may be a huge difference. Have you ridden a tw200 and what advice do you have between the two?
Hi, i've been riding a 125 cc scooter for the past year and a half on a daily basis. Would you reccomend that i step up to the likes of an Mt-03, or head straight to a bigger bike such as the MT 07?
My riding experience is entirely my 125cc dirt bike. I am super comfortable full speed on dirt and roads(although i cant really do tricks well like jumping and wheelies) if i get one, should it be the mt03 or mt07? Im kinda thinking mt07 would be better since i do have some experience, and it's bigger and more powerful to grow into. But then again ive never owned or ridden a motorcycle, just a dirt bike.
My first bike was a Honda Grom the new 2022. I’ve had it for two years now and was thinking about the MT 07 how do you think I would do with the jump in size
How do you feel the suspension would be for a big dude? I plan on getting a mt07 in the spring and was told the suspension is for lighter riders , should I be prepared to shell out the extra cash to upgrade the suspension? (I’m 250lb btw)
I need to try a KTM already, I nearly got a 690 dual sport and a SDR 1290 once but backed out of the deals because I got cold feet. lol I hear great things about the 790 but I trust Yamaha's reliability more.
I'm watching this after crashing an Mt-07 I rented. I've only been riding my z400 2 months. Knowing I had more to learn but still thought I'd be ok of if I took it easy. False!!! Less than 15 mins on the bike I turned a corner from a stop and somehow whiskey throttled my way head into a car at the traffic light. Flipped over the handlebars onto the hood and fell on the ground. Luckily I limped away with bumps and bruises. It made me remove my name from the list to buy one when it hit the dealer.
I went to a local dealership and I saw there a kawasaki klx 300SM supermoto. I'm not sure if I get it or choose mt 03 or kawasaki 400. Any advice. I'm new rider and 6' tall.
I am a second year writer coming off of Kawasaki Vulcan 500. Want to upgrade and I really like the MT07. I've heard some people saying that they're cheaply made or plastic feeling. Comments on that? Also I need a bike that I can do a little traveling. Will the MT07 be good for day trips here and there?
I have been on the mt125 for nearly 2 years and want to upgrade not sure if I will get a mt03 or 07 but I need to pass my full licence first sitting on a cbt os easy and cheap also the running cost of the mt125 is really cheap insurance is cheap tax petrol all cheap and it will push 80mph I ride all year and have rode in some situation that most wouldn't dream of from icy road and fog to freezing cold temps I have had my key freeze in ignition barrel and ice forming on my visor riding in -3 to -5 is not very nice anything over say 30mph and the fog partials freeze to ice near on instantly strong winds are another story the mt125 can be blown across the road is is very strange when you cleave to keep the steering turned into the wind just to ride in a straight line
CycleCruza you should do a video on the 2023 MT-07 and how yamaha ruined it with such a small detail.. if you look at the short on my channel or just try to find a video of it that Dash ruined the bike..
This is why Europe has A1 and A2 motorcyle licenses for new riders. The more people who survive will live to ride bikes while American's leave it to Darwin Awards to sort out the riders. Australia has the LAMS system which is less restrictive to A1 and A2 but almost the same thing.
the 2023 MT-07, i don’t like the new screen, or the new scroll wheel for the screen…. not really fussed about a Quick Shifter, so the feature to allow the R7 QS to be installed doesn’t matter for me
Yeah the new display seems a bit odd, I'm fine with the screen on my 2022. For street riding you don't need a quick shifter. Yamaha should have put on a fully adjustable front fork, I don't understand why they won't do that.
@@CycleCruza that’s what I’m saying, QS is for the Street Rossi, might as well go track. lowkey the 2022 Display looks better as well, I love my 22 MT-07. Also the forks, I agree, USD Adjustable wouldve been nice, but that’s the difference between the R7 and MT’s cost I guess
I always spend the first couple hours at the video's release responding to comments, after that I try to get back to conversations started but I don't always get a chance to.
@@CycleCruza that’s what I’m about though. We know you don’t actually spend 2 hours after every video chatting with us, why not just at least spend 2 hours actually interacting (on videos where you have conversations going) instead of just “in the 2 hours after a video”. Idk if that made sense It not but take it fwiw I guess. Thanks man
Personally I wanna get the mt07 but I have riden scooters and many quads. So I do have throttle experience and I’m not the crazy type too go fast so I think I’ll be good.
I have the MT07 before owning the 03 yes it’s bigger better faster ect but as I use it just for commuting the 03 was easier to handle for Everyday use wish I kept it
MT03 is an excellent price for the drivetrain and reliability. Priced like a Royal Enfield budget 350, but twice the motor and less weight. It is a bit squat and cramped for an adult man over 6' or a heavy guy over 5'8"....excellent for a slim or smaller frame. It can be better for a tall rider with the optional tall seat. The 07 is tuned for seasoned riders. It is more expensive, it is a more spacious frame but only 40 lbs heavier (impressive with twice the motor and a bigger frame). If your MSF classes still teach with Yamaha 250s, CB250s, old Rebel 250s then you're already in for some surprises with the NEW bike you buy. Those bikes have 18 to 20hp, slow cams, mechanical brakes with drum brakes in the mix. You buy even the MT03 and you get twice the power and 5 x the brakes to toss you off if you abuse it.
Well said, I agree with everything you say here especially the Royal Enfield comparison. I’m 73 years young and after riding countless larger bikes I have recently downsized to my MT 03. As a small rider, it’s just perfect. It’s 42 h.p. and 166Kg weight = great fun.
I'm over six feet tall isn't that part of the decision process? MT-03 vs MT-07. In Ducati it's just the Scramblers that are considered basic bikes, also price comes into question your not going to find new Ducati's below 8k new vs Yamaha it just goes up from there. So Yamaha will always be the value leader along with Kawasaki, and Suzuki, the Euro's are going to be premium, electronic laden, you know fancy, have you ever owned adventure bikes?
Would you think a mt 03 would be an okay bike to also ride a passenger? I’m around 170lbs passenger is around 110lbs. Would the bike have enough power for hills and what not? Appreciate your videos man rubber side down 👊

World needs an MT05
that's priced under 5k
It doesn’t make sense to have that
And an mt08
I think they should update the MT03 to the MT04
It's due an update anyway
@Art Joe Go It’s you’re or you are, not your.🙂👍🏿

YOURE THE BOSS 😂😅😊 ... now stop watching and start riding bro

Great advise CC. I love my MT03 but ready to move up after 2 yrs of riding. Getting a new MT07 this year. I remember my MSF course. 3 guys ate the concrete on Honda Rebel 250s. Starting out slow is the way to go. Plus the MT03s hold their value very well. As long as u dont trade it in at the dealer of course.
You are wise. All of the small bikes hold their value very well, especially the MT-03 and MT-07, also the Ninja 400 and 650 hold their value really well.
@@CycleCruzawhat about value of kawa z400, duke 390, honda 300cb and bmw 310R?
Get the ninja 400 and spend the remainder of the money you save on a few track days. Your skill will sky rocket.
@@ProdicalMan I appreciate the feedback thank you.
@CycleCruza definitely I have a good amount of money set aside for gear also. I do have a question is it possible to create a video with tips and your experience buying from cycle trader ? I been eyeing a few bikes on there. Thank you.
Been riding now for 7 years. My MT03 I’d my 3rd bike, and fav so far. I’m 53, and love how light and nimble it is for city riding
Idk if your obesity says much about the bike tbh.
It's the Best explantion I heard about a motorcycle. You really enjoy that bikes. I'm happy for you man
Guys as a former rider myself I implore all first time riders to get the reasonably smaller CC motorcycle that you can sit comfortably on until you get used to riding shifting and braking.
I’m so hype just listening to this guy! Can’t wait to get my bike!
I believe a year or 2 with the mt03 will set you up for a mhch better experience.

ruclips.net/video/yOh2w8_-qvY/видео.html
How is the torque on the 03? because I would like the 07 but I'm worried about too much torque. But if the mt03 torque is good is ok.
@@OtterMachine first bike bro, and im 22
@@Takezo_no_Miyamoto I would say get the Yamaha MT03 or Kawasaki Z400. My MT07 will surprise me with a unintentional wheelie in 1st and 2nd gears, not really beginner friendly.

Mt-03 is really affordable, just worried about smaller bikes looking tiny for tall riders.
Everyone on groms though now it can't be that bad.
Many people have said I look too tall on my MT-07 and former MT-09, I don't care, I love this MT-07. Yeah I see people riding the little Groms on the street and love it and don't care how big they look on it.
@@CycleCruza how tall are you?
@@thailandstreetscenes 6 foot 9
Leaning towards getting the MT03 as I'm fairly short (5'2")
Got the mt03 for my first bike last year & I luv it.
If you are taller than 6ft I wouldn't suggest the mt03

Really, it is a good thing they are so strict in Europe about getting a motorcycle license, I bet it helps prevents fatalities. Here in the U.S. you can just go pass the written test at the BMV and go buy a Kawasaki Ninja H2. 😂 I bet the U.S. has a lot more motorcycle fatalities than in Europe.
@@CycleCruza same thing here, im from europe, Portugal to take my license i've drove first days a cb125 than a cb500f and after 16 hours of riding i had to do the exam that makes me do
High way
Emergency brake
8 in an incline
And drive on busy the streets
I've used scooters and dirt bikes before and im a car driver for the last 4 years, never used nothing like an mt 07 but im not 100% new so i decided to get the mt 07 as is one of my dream bikes
@@CycleCruza same here in Philippines, you can ride any 2 wheeled vehicle (A- motorcycle) without engine size (cc) restriction.
I agree i got a mt-03 and it’s a solid bike for beginners fun as hell too 😂
I got private lessons from someone using a 2020 street triple rs and took my brc test on that bike(you have to supply your own bike in my area).
I don’t mind if someone also aside from Cyclecruza gives me some input!
how are you dropping your bike if you don't mind me asking
Heck i started in a 90cc mini moto, then driving dirt bikes 125 and 250, i still bought the mt03. Its not back for the price and its fun
If you’re tall, (I’m 6’1”) an MT-03 is going to be hard to fit on… the flares on the tank need to be higher up for me to fit on one.

First time rider. I got an Mt07 for my first bike. I love it
Howya doin on them ebikes/scooters?
Nuff said.
Love my bike.
Just to have one at all.
And as always
I was entertained
Sup, as a MT09 owner myself I’m looking for a bike for my 16 year old. He has no experience other than my MT09 a hand full of times in a big parking lot. So I’m thinking the MT03 for him when the spring hits here in Connecticut.
Noble bro. Imagine how cool he's going to feel pulling up to school on that. One of the greatest things you can do for your son
@@tigeurrilla ya man! For me in high school it was a 96 Magna.
@Robert Cabanillas I always wanted a dirkbike but my folks couldn't afford it. I Picked up at 21 MT09 at 22
Get the MT03 and spend the rest of the money on a few track days.
Thank me later. Your skill will improve 10x.
Do you think it's a good idea to take both hands off the handlebars when riding a motorcycle? What's that about?
Well, it's two gyroscopes and hes experienced. Its probably fine lol
Great video. New rider and got a MT-03. Can you recommend a good front/rear stand for doing basic service and cleaning at home? Thanks
If i have ridden a crf250f before do you think id be good with an mt 07 as a first street bike?
CYCLECRUZA that bike of yours does sound good.
yamaha davidson
this vid help bro, thanks!!
I'm 190 cm, won't the mt 03 be too small ? i don't know which one to buy, restricted mt 07 or mt 03
How do you feel the suspension would be for a big dude? I plan on getting a mt07 in the spring and was told the suspension is for lighter riders , should I be prepared to shell out the extra cash to upgrade the suspension? (I’m 250lb btw)
Cyclecruza whatre ur top 3 funnest bikes you owned?
Hello!
I would like to buy an MT07 Tracer as a beginner rider. If the engine power is reduced by computer, is it good for a beginner?
CycleCruza you should try KTM Duke 790
I need to try a KTM already, I nearly got a 690 dual sport and a SDR 1290 once but backed out of the deals because I got cold feet. lol I hear great things about the 790 but I trust Yamaha's reliability more.
@@CycleCruza you should test ride it sir
Hey did you upload the mt07 video explaining the process of the dynojet flash. Would help me out a lot 😅
What kind of exhaust muffler do you have on your MT07? I love the sound!
What do you think about the cf moto nk650??
To me this sounds way better than a Harley
I'm watching this after crashing an Mt-07 I rented. I've only been riding my z400 2 months. Knowing I had more to learn but still thought I'd be ok of if I took it easy. False!!! Less than 15 mins on the bike I turned a corner from a stop and somehow whiskey throttled my way head into a car at the traffic light. Flipped over the handlebars onto the hood and fell on the ground. Luckily I limped away with bumps and bruises.
It made me remove my name from the list to buy one when it hit the dealer.
MT-03 for sure, me on a MT-07 would be a real F'd up day 😂. I'll start small and work my way up
I have the MT-03 and love it
Awesome video CycleCruza, which is your favourite number 1 favourite motorcycle?
I went to a local dealership and I saw there a kawasaki klx 300SM supermoto. I'm not sure if I get it or choose mt 03 or kawasaki 400. Any advice. I'm new rider and 6' tall.
I am a second year writer coming off of Kawasaki Vulcan 500. Want to upgrade and I really like the MT07. I've heard some people saying that they're cheaply made or plastic feeling. Comments on that? Also I need a bike that I can do a little traveling. Will the MT07 be good for day trips here and there?
Yes and no. You'll have to sit on one (test ride if possible) and get a feel for it.
Can you do a video on how to wash and clean ur bike and chain
Shame they don't make a MT03 crossplane twin, then release a "proper" XSR300.
I’m a new rider thinking about getting the mt-03
the 2023 MT-07, i don’t like the new screen, or the new scroll wheel for the screen…. not really fussed about a Quick Shifter, so the feature to allow the R7 QS to be installed doesn’t matter for me
Yeah the new display seems a bit odd, I'm fine with the screen on my 2022.
Also the forks, I agree, USD Adjustable wouldve been nice, but that’s the difference between the R7 and MT’s cost I guess
which gloves are you wearing in this video?
Get a Mt09 can easily start in mode 4 , coming from a guy who’s owned a R3 Mt07 and now a 2021 mt09
You should expand your period of responding to comments…like…by double maybe? Just to continue conversations started right after
I always spend the first couple hours at the video's release responding to comments, after that I try to get back to conversations started but I don't always get a chance to.
Thanks man
*NEW VIDEO:* Proof Why Motorcycles Are BETTER Than ALL Cars
ruclips.net/video/I7vTQCx_3tM/видео.html
FYI, you said the MT-03 has 50 HP. It has 41 horse power.
Personally I wanna get the mt07 but I have riden scooters and many quads. So I do have throttle experience and I’m not the crazy type too go fast so I think I’ll be good.
I have the MT07 before owning the 03 yes it’s bigger better faster ect but as I use it just for commuting the 03 was easier to handle for Everyday use wish I kept it
I've never had a bike but thinking of getting one I've not heard anything bad about the mt07 everyone likes them
MT03 is an excellent price for the drivetrain and reliability.
My wife started on a from now she has an mt03 and kept her
Would you think a mt 03 would be an okay bike to also ride a passenger? I’m around 170lbs passenger is around 110lbs. Would the bike have enough power for hills and what not? Appreciate your videos man rubber side down 👊
MT 03 can handle uphills with a passenger. It's a good bike.

mt-03 would be a fun AF if you're in cities or small towns. then upgrade to 07 after you get some experience.
if you're out in the country, get the 07
