It's not just Mads who found world-wide fame, the others were no chopped liver either - all of them well-respected top Danish actors. Sofie Grabol was the lead in the series 'The Killing' which was a huge international hit and Nikolaj Lie Kass was also in third series of same. He played Carl Morck in the 'Department Q' series which was very successful as well plus many very critically acclaimed movies. In addition to that he is a highly successful entertainer/comedian and headlined the annual Zulu Comedy Gala.
Minor correction: When Arne says "It was a squirrel" it's sorta wrongly translated. What he actually says is "There was a squirrel". This is a pretty telling character moment for him in one simple sentence. Him saying "There was a squirrel" implies to Torkild that the only thing to do when you see something living is to kill it. Almost as if it is obvious. "There was a squirrel, of course I had to shoot, duh". It's brilliantly capturing how mentally disturbed Arne is and within the context it is hilarious just how divorced from common decency and customs he is.
all of them are mentally disturbed individuals, seriously damaged from the traumas of their shitty childhood that ran away from malfunctioning families to create their own family of misfits. Arne is no more damaged than the rest of the group. All of them have their troubles and coping mechanisms.
With all the remakes Hollywood is making, I´m surprised they haven`t made one of this, cause It`s a fucking great movie. Put in Tom Hardy as Thorkild, Sam Rockwell as Arne, Matt Damon as Peter, and Brad Pitt as Stefan............and let Quentin Tarantino direct it...........it´s a sure hit.

Det er vel altid en vurdering hvad der er det bedste, personligt synes jeg også at der er så mange scener der er for fede og jeg elsker Fritz Helmuth han er gammel i gårde og han spiller fandme godt (og selvfølgelig også de andre).
