- This was a game of Big Team Slayer I played a while back. I'm uploading it as an example of H3 multiplay for anyone considering purchasing the game - there's some Warthog action, and a fair bit of toe-to-toe gunfighting. This was a particularly fun game, I remember, as everyone on my team was a friend. Pity I couldn't record the audio, it was the lulz. Need to work on how to do that. Man so many great games released in the 2000’s like half life 2, cod mw2, left for dead 2, halo 3, elder scrolls 4, dead space, kotor 1 and kotor 2 and so many more. But now it’s just that some companies like valve aren’t even fucking releasing games, game studios which use to make legendary games are either being shut down or making terrible games filled with loot boxes and other companies are continuing this trend of battle royale games the games which i hate the most the 2000’s were legendary

Really emotional watching this. This was the very first game i ever played online multiplayer and the first game I got for xbox when i was 12. Im 21 now and nothing compares to halo 3 on 360. Damn my friends for making me buy a ps4.

Me too. I wish Halo 3 was still alive for the 360, because it had one of the best user interface and matchmaking system ever designed. And the game engine itself was flawless, the physics are still excellent to this day.

Halo is genius. I love the idea of being able to drive a car while someone shoots, or vice-versa, on an enormous map.

Halo 3 was the first Halo game I ever played. The memories it gave me were great. It will forever be my favorite Halo game!
I'm sure my nostalgia is in part due to the fact that I was a sophomore in high school when H3 came out, so on any given night there was bound to be a handful of friends on Live, many more on weekends. Also didn't hurt that I spent hundreds of hours playing split-screen online with my best friend when he'd stay at my house for days at a time over the summer, or that my dad and I would play split screen at his place. I think there's something more, though. I can't put my finger on it, but while I know the games today are "better" in a technical sense and on paper, there was something magical about this era. I do love Apex, and I'm sure I wouldn't enjoy H3 like I enjoy a good modern FPS. I guess it is nostalgia and the fact that I'm old after all. Welp.
Wait for Halo 3: ODST to come out. It has a disc with the whole Halo 3 multiplayer experience.

Man i miss Halo 3 also it's December 26 2021 almost 2022 and Halo infinite came out and it's so cool not just the campain but also the multiplayer
In Halo: the masterchief collection on Xbox One we can play all 4 Halos and their multiplayers in 1080p 60fps. Plus Halo 2 is completely redone. We also get the Halo 5 beta for 3 weeks.

I miss the freedom of being able to join matchmaking for big team battles any time of day, on any variety of maps. The Master Chief collection is not the same experience, nothing will ever surmount to the original Halo 3 for 360 and everyone who was there knows it.
This was a good time for video games. Call of Duty 4 and Halo 3 were great games. i hope the new halo guys take a couple step. when you add customizations and stuff, it makes it too complicated of a game.

Hands down the best Halo ever made. Bungie really nailed it with this one. Too bad it's not still going today, because people would probably still play the original Halo 3 for 360 online if they had the chance.

Since Halo 4 is coming out, they are shutting down the Halo 3 server, so let us all play Halo 3 on September 25 of 2012, and make the servers alive again on the 25th.

Last time I played, roughly 1000 people were playing in the afternoon. Most individuals were playing social team slayer and finding a match in that playlist was relatively short. Bare in mind that some playlists are completely empty.

I wish they would've made Reach's graphics better. Halo 3 had such good contrast, and the shadow effects were awesome. I like the details in Reach but it needs the contrast.

how do you drain so fastly the shields with the battle rifle? I always have to use the assault rifle before giving a headshot with it because is painful to drain them in five bursts before killing the enemy.

I'll just wait until Halo 4 comes out, because depending on how good Halo 4 is or not affects how many people still want to play halo 3. They also might close down the Halo 3 servers when Halo 4 comes out, I'm not saying they will, but it is a possibility.
It takes absolutely NO SKILL to just sit behind the machine gun with unlimited ammo an drive around shooting everyone that is walking. Good job at playing like that. I bet everyone loved you for doing that.
