Fallout 4 is a 2015 action role-playing game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It is the fourth main game in the Fallout series and was released worldwide on November 10, 2015, for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game is set within an open world post-apocalyptic environment that encompasses the city of Boston and the surrounding Massachusetts region known as "The Commonwealth". Joining the Brotherhood as an outsider seems highly unusual, yet Danse seemingly recruits you after you've done basically nothing beyond shooting and pushing buttons.

Well the BOS is different depending on the game. In fnv for example the brotherhood is secluded because of bad leadership and being outclassed by other factions. In the earlier fallouts fallout 2 for example the brotherhood is basically everywhere similar to the NCR. In fallout 4 they are at their most powerful and not as fragile therefore theyre more trusting of new recruits. Besides he is basically offering you the brotherhood equivalent of an internship
@@billycumcamp6104 There are different chapters of the Brotherhood Of Steel, yes. There are differences in terms of available manpower and resources, but generally, outsiders are not accepted unless the case is extraordinary.
@@namelessstranger1270 thats how it used to be yes, but fallout 4 plays a few years after the events of the other fallout games. In my eyes the brotherhood realized that taking in outsiders was the right thing to do (especially since thats something that a lot of members wanted for a while), not letting in new members nearly ended up being their downfall. It makes sense for them to be more open for entry now that theyre more powerful
@@namelessstranger1270 also its important to note that leadership changed. Maxson shaped the west coast into a military rather than a bunch of secluded outcasts. (also the brotherhood still DID accept new recruits prior but only if they were children since they were easy to train and werent gonna betray anybody)

That's pretty much how that went.
I always level up my pickpocket ability and just go ham, stealing every single piece of power armor that the NPCs always wear around. First I go for the fusion core, then hide behind the power armor frame and BAM! A whole fuckton of caps just waiting to be stolen.
@@highspy6851 That's a great tip! Making chems to sell also works pretty well as one builds up the pickpocket perks.
I stole mine in the Marshes after 2 vertibirds clashed with raiders and one got shot down crashing into a paladin.

It’s such wasted potential that Bethesda added your companions having commentary but then the people you’re talking to just ignore them. In this video alone, why does Danse just take that disregard of the Brotherhood and not give a crap? He could’ve easily said something like “Some “team” you’ve got there civilian” and it instantly makes you want to hear him out. Classic Bethesda fucking up a cool concept because they were too lazy to go the extra mile 🙄
I'd say budget IF ya hadn't come up with an extremely easy way to accomplish it - a simple line for positive / neutral / negative comments from companions. But you did, so... Yeah, that's something only Todd knows

My reaction to Fallout 4 Hypocrites of Steal?: Brutal death to feed my endless hunger, instead of one of the 42 people in MY Sanctuary, baring Danse I have him guarding the front door with a laser minigun, while Preston is in the Sniper's nest, Cait is guarding the back door (not just because my house is right next to it, certainly not), Piper is... usually on the scavenging station or Mutfruit fields... Codsworth is... I think Red Rocket guarding the second drug den I run.... Dogmeat is guarding the water supply, and the robots are helping me stay at around 200 Defense from Guard Posts, in addition to the 40 machine gun turrets, 10 (at each watch point) Laser turrets, 3 (at each watch point) Spotlights, and my 30 floors up Missile Turret base section with around 100 Missile turrets guarding the airspace... The obvious thing, the brotherhood of steal tries taking my drugs I get a free feast, and free supplies... If i can find the crashed Vertibird...

They made the power armor look so badass in FO4. It looks so cool when the headlamp is on too. I do miss being able to wear it 24/7 like in FO3 and not having to worry about fuel, but I have to admit the way it's done in FO4 makes more sense.

I just travel alone, sometimes I bring dogmeat, but most of the time I don't have to worry about a companion bitching about what they dislike. Because I don't like them

Cait joining the BoS is actually a pretty interesting character arc to me, especially after vault 95. Some ex-raider learning about responsibilities and purpose through the Brotherhood is cool, and she has a bunch of comments throughout the faction quest line too

Nate joining and then leaving the brotherhood was always my call. A veteran who lost everything trying to find meaning again in a rigid military order, only to find the order is forcing him to compromise his morals and makes him question himself. It’s a nice story.

It’s just funny because doing BOS quest with Cait builds infinity with her. She likes when you secure Fort Strong, and Do the missing food mission, when you assassinate Virgil and wipe out the Railroad

I still like how they decided to make Cait dislike joining any faction. Like she does NOT want to have to put up with these people. Garvey can save a settlement himself for once, thr BoS can get their head out of their own *ss, the Institute can find an actual goal to work towards, and the Railroad can get some quests

I remember when luitenant dance was just a private we called him private dancer.
When we was a recruit we called him Private Twerker.
funny enough, Cait is the one companion you can have as a BoS playthrough, as she likes it when you shoot Danse in "Blind Betrayal". I always use her on BoS Characters
MacCready and Strong also like it. And Gage outrights loves it! Doubt you'd want Strong as a companion for a BoS character tho lmao
One of the things that really struck me about Fo4 vs earlier Fallouts is that most of the factions make an earnest case for for why you should join them and how it will affect your life. In the earlier games it seems to just come out of nowhere.
I knew there was a mod to become a Ghoul but this is a new one.
