What’s the difference between AT&T TV and DIRECTV? AT&T TV is a streamable version of DIRECTV, the satellite TV provider (which is also owned by AT&T), but they have lots of similarities and differences, and pros and cons.

Please fix and correct ATT TV gives you 20 in home streams, and unlimited dvr options big difference and for me thats worth it hands down

What streaming devices are you using and how is the stream quality?
That would be my choice, but of course it isn't availble in my area, nor is AT&T Fiber.
With wifi i get 15 download and 1.5 upload. With a Cat 6 ethernet cable will i get higher speeds. If I do how much ?

I have the hopper whole home DVR. I Absolutely Love it!!!! Dish is the clear winner!! You’ll pay less over half you would with DIRECTV
My friend streams her dish network in her gets all the channels she gets at you just need WiFi. I have been a direct tv customer forever way before att bought them why can’t we stream to our tv in RV I tried to download direct in my fire stick but gives something from att and wanted me to buy a plan
With att tv, I heard it’s 20 streams now
I am happy with RUclips TV and especially the DVR function. I do wish it was not as pricey. I loved it when it was $35
If you never cancel they will learn to keep raising price
For me the biggest advantage of RUclips TV is that they have live local channels. That is really important to me. Love the unlimited DVR. Unfortunately it’s a little expensive but I guess worth it.
@@sandy99922 I just use locast $5/mo locals. Nothing live interests me enough that I need dvr now, use cheaper things like discovery+ or hulu basic to watch what isnt on local tv

The difference is I pay for my ATT cell bill thats supposed to include att TV and I can’t get it to work because they set up my email wrong and the couple of time I’ve tried having it fixed over the phone they say their doing some thing then I still can’t access shit
I have the bundle with house phone, internet,and DirecTV programs. I have Roku also and I sometimes need my provider name ( for certain apps to get free viewing) but they mess it up by ( at&t) redirecting me to the email I am not able to access at all... It's a mess. ..😠
For a communications company, they are almost impossible to communicate with.
I spent almost an hour today trying to learn if I could get AT&T Fiber in my area. After transfer and t5ransfer and transfer, I was finally given a _ticket number,_ which is what you get when you are filing a service order. They said they would call me back with an amswer. Still waiting for that call.
Face it, folks: AT&T is a MONOPOLY, looking to exapand their MONOPOLY. They really don't have any competiion, and the FCC doesn't give a damn, nor does the FTC.
You’re showing outdated info...att tv has had unlimited dvr and a 20 in home streams for a couple months now, other than that great video.....maybe as a suggestion you could also talk about which has better picture quality and reliability too...maybe mention dtv has 4K and att tv doesn’t
I suspect this "review" is strongly biased to DTV at the outset, even tho' they claim that AT&T was more likely to be the better choice. They then go about demoloishing that with ther outdated figures.
AT&T will sold both DirecTV & AT&T TV 30% to TPG Capital in the 2nd quarter of this year.

I've had AT&T TV for over 2 years and love it. I just got a email that said that they are switching me from AT&T TV to Direct TV Stream.

At&t Tv now let's you have 20 in-home streams.
AT&T TV lets you have unlimited streams in the house and 20 outside the house.

A bit of contrast in the service between DirectTV and At&T TV make a big difference in the overall streaming experience.
Can I stream ATT TV to other TVs in my home that are non-ATT TV and Direct TV ie can I stream my AT/DT DVR to other TVs in my home THAT ARE NOT HOOKED TO AT/DT(they are smart TVs which use my Xfinity internet like AT/DT?
I know DirecTV.. used to have some of the funniest commercials on air.. After AT&T bought them' there has been no good commercials not funny or entertaining"' AT&T commercials are very lame!!!!

When my DTV/AT&T two year contract expires latter this year;I’ll drop them; and switch to local channels using my tv antenna.

AT&T just divested most of their holding of DTV, but yes, they are still connected. We are watching an internal war here.

Direct TV is also a Satalite provider and portable because you can take it with you using a portable satelite dish. I take mine camping in my RV. AT&T TV is not portable as such.
I have 4 Att TV boxes if anyone wants to buy them
When I cancel I will have 2. They're so old they won't want them back. 😈

This is breaking news from att. AT&T TV is now being renamed Directv Stream. The name change will take over later this month. AT&T has said that the pricing and packages will stay the same what a disgrace. Their prices should be lower so people can afford the service.
A month later and they still haven;t fixed that in their many intercommected but impossible to navigate web pages.

cheapest options are iptv ,slingbox , sharing apps usersnames with friends family and searching online for free shows you like
Yep. I get more sports channel than anything else, and I don't watch sports at all. And I can get hundreds of foreign - language channels that I don't watch. But some channels I watch almost religiously on U-Verse are only available in DTV's top-tier, which is out of reach for me.
