People throw out the term "Bob Ross of ______" way too loosely. His whole point was being incredibly calm and relaxing to listen to while also being very helpful while making silly jokes. Sam is great but he doesn't really resemble Bob Ross at all in energy.
1 thing nobody thinks about but which is something ive done for over a decade is while driving and listening to music is tapping my left foot on that little plastic foot rest to the left of the break. All the bass beats I do with my left foot and it actually built alot of strength up for me.

I know some people say not to "overwhelm" potential learners, but personally, seeing the potential is inspiring and gives me motivation.

I've literally just seen a 1 minute clip of this on Facebook reels, and used it to practice and I can actually play double Bass kicks now. Incredible lesson, best I've ever had

even though im not a drummer and dont have a drum kit i sat there and played along with 66Samus with my feet on the floor and drumming my index fingers on the table and it was actually fun! Even though i had to make some pauses for switches, i did well enough

@@austerberrys101 The video does 85/95 bpm for the warmup/exercise. So speeding it up is roughly 106/118 at 1.25x, 127/142 at 1.5x. Also if you're just starting have a look at the different techniques for different speeds. The slower tempos like in the video you can use a lot of your leg, but as you get faster you use more ankle movement and less of your upper legs - just look it up and you'll see what I mean. Good luck bud!
When he says: "Maybe you're using an electronic drum set and you are using the high hat pedal as a bass drum..." that blew my mind! I didn't think of that! Now I need to mess with my cheap Simmons drums and see if I can map that pedal! That will be cool if it works!
