The Time Drew Brees Shocked #13 Ohio State
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 9 июл 2021
- Ohio state faced Purdue on the road in the 2000 season. In a crazy game Purdue QB Drew Brees would fight until the last few minutes. Brees threw a 64 yard touchdown pass to Seth Morales late in the fourth quarter to take the lead. On the following possession the Buckeyes would fumble and Purdue recovered it. This would seal the deal and Purdue won the game 31-27. Brees finished 39-65 for 455 yards and three touchdowns.

"They'll be replaying this one for years"
22 years later...chills
I was at this game but missed the winning touchdown pass to Morales because I still had my head in my hands from the interception he threw the series before. Quite possibly the single greatest victory in Ross ade history.
This Drew Brees guy looks like he will be a very good player in the NFL. He’s got great potential.
Doubt it, if he ever makes it to the league he’d play TE. Doesn’t have the arm strength to be a QB at the next level.
@@RSHighlights Backup QB at most!
Third string*
He's too short.
He might go to one Superbowl
Watching the football come out of Brees' hands is one of the few simple pleasures of life. Going to miss seeing it every Sunday.
I still haven't found anyone else to fill the void yet 😢
Since Purdue had black, gold, and white colors it’s only fitting Drew Brees ends his career with the Saints.
Yeah cuz that matters lol

This is becoming one of my favorite channels
Thanks

On god I watch every video I see pop up
Appreciate it
Damn. Even in college drew loved to throw picks and come from behind to win .
he has to beat himself. he throws picks to put the other team ahead and then he throws touchdowns
Otherwise it wouldn’t be interesting for him :P
Brees thank you for all the hard times you gave me as a panther fan since 2017 but congrats on being one of the nfl greats
Much love as a Panther fan
That Lineman blocked THREE people on that fumble. What a HERO
That hit by Brees on his 4th INT to save the TD....😤
Loved watching Drew Brees play.
Drew could move back in the day gah damn
I was at this game. 10 rows up and to the right of the goal posts behind Drew when he threw that TD to Morales. One of the prettiest deep balls I have ever seen.
Someone was wearing a Drew Brees throwback Purdue jersey when I went to Carl's Jr. in Salina, Utah a few years ago. It was a warm day and she was having a picnic lunch with her kids.
My savior Drew Brees thank you from all the Nola fans😍
These were two forgettable years for Ohio State. 6-6 in 99, and 7-5 that year. I was 12 and remember this game like it was yesterday. Brees just couldn't be stopped on 3rd down. Tiller always had Purdue competitive.
Devastating fact for EbbTide fans is neither ClumsyOn nor EbbTide can ever beat Ohio State now without lots of help from refs, injuries, flu, intentional targeting injuries, plandemics, etc...
@@BuzzLOLOL you on cracm
I'm really enjoying these old game highlights with cool subjects like this one with Drew Brees. Been watching your channel for a while.. keep on trucking dude!
Yes!! Requested many times!! Thank you!
How do you throw 4 interceptions and still win!
Coach Joe Tiller was a very good coach. Sean Payton got the best out of Brees when he went to Tillers offensive schemes for his Saints offense.
Joe Tiller was the reason Drew went to Purdue. Only 2 schools were interested in him; Kentucky and Wyoming but when Tiller left Wyoming for Purdue, Drew went that route.
@@boogitybear2283 And I believe he wanted to go to Texas, but Mack didn’t even give him a look.
That's my quarterback...😥🐐
This was a huge game for his development as a QB, on many levels. Damn he just picked up 3rd Down after 3rd Down after 3rd Down in the 2nd half, Boom, Boom, 💥 Brees was right when he said pregame he had a good plan of attack.
Drew Brees career summed up in one game.
Purdue always beating a ranked Ohio state team💀
always?
@@SocialAssasin Ohio State has a losing B1G record on the road at one stadium since 2000.
Ross-Ade stadium
@@TheMan750 and how many b10 titles and national championships? How many does Purdue have?
@@SocialAssasin Purdue has I believe 2 conference titles, and no national titles, what’s your point
@@TheMan750 I think it's pretty obvious. OSU has 41 B10 titles and 8 National Championships. That's my point.
Odd thing I know, but I miss those old facemasks.
What a fantastic game, both sides... would have loved to been there
Thank you so much for this one
That Ken-Yon Rambo was a beast for OSU...
Drew breeze was such a fucking unit. Arm talent for days
I subscribed to your channel bc of this! Thank You

Matt mitrione is a heavyweight fighter for bellator now. Also beat kimbo slice back in the day. Crazy he went to Purdue with drew brees lol
He damn near sold 😂😂😂
Loved Drew Brees and Purdue as a kid.......
#GO BUCKEYES
Those white receivers are crazy!
Kinda like those black running backs.
i saw okc and the grizzlies on the bottom and was lost for a few minutes
I went to that Rose bowl. During the game I noticed that Vinny Sutherland had a tell where he would pull on his face mask right before the snap whenever he was supposed to get the ball. Like he was adjusting it or something so I told my brother and he didn't believe me and so we start watching him and on one of the next plays he does it and then gets a long completion or touchdown. We watched him the rest of the game and he legit did it on every single play where he was first in the progression.
I had no idea Matt Mitrione (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matt_Mitrione) played college football at Purdue. Glad I decided to check if it was him after hearing the announcers at 0:00:50.
I almost didn't catch it cause they didn't say his name right. On ultimate fighter Heavyweights him Marcus Jones and one other guy from that season played football. I think Marcus made TB squad or Practice squad.
Brees always was better off in Black and Gold
These are my favorite kinds of college football videos
Thanks, any suggestions?

He was so accurate even back then. Its apparently something that cant be taught at an older age.
Jon Cooper was the Jim Harbaugh of Ohio State. Highly ranked and talented teams that always found a way to lose.
Doss blew the coverage
Former Purdue quarterback Gary Danielson Jr. on the call.
Called him a munchkin lol
@12:58 mark Steve Bellasari with the 62 awareness smh
Jim Chaney was the offensive coordinator by the way.
I love how Brees went from black and gold in college to black and gold in the NFL
They look like the PS2 Madden character models lol.
Have a great day God love y’all ,
The real GOAT. INTS or not. And as far as I know, never had to deflate a ball to win.
I believe Eric Crouch won the Heisman that year correct? Should've been Brees. Buckeye fan
Edit: It was Chris Weinke
Even though I wasn't born yet, I would have liked Josh Huepel to win it just because he is from my hometown.
Ken-Yon Rambo who went on to play for the Calgary Stampeders of the CFL.
CrAzy how many 3rd and longs they made. Just proves some games a team is ment to win.
Saints fans should watch this.
#whodatnation
He was a HOF In College playing at a HIGH LEVEL Schooling everyone
I’ll watch Ohio State losing ever single time. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving school.
Shout out Matt Mitreone 🥊
I was like " AYE MEATHEAD" LOL
Happiness is crushed Buckeye nuts....
Am I the only one who thinks of Permian or Dillon Panthers when I see the Purdue P? 😅
What year was this?
2000
Brees has his first highlight in the second quarter?! Next throw is a pick?! You can tell he’ll never make it in the pros
Ha
The 9 dislikes are from sockeye fans.
Comment section coming through with a good request.
Now my poor mom cries knowing how Purdue has fallen off the face of the earth at football.
Matt mitrione the Purdue player is that the mma fighter?
Bellisari was so bad lol
Drew Brees revolutionized Purdue Football. They were never good until he came to town. I’m still sick he didn’t choose Kentucky because that’s my team. He was meant to go to Purdue.
Purdue was a dominant program many years ago before drew. Saying they were never good is totally false
I am shocked they won after 4 int's. D came up big
Let’s not act like he didn’t throw more picks than touchdowns lol
Did 14 for purdue not make it to the NFL, dude went crazy
Do Central Michigan Beating Oklahoma State
Matt Mitrione like the UFC fighter?
Do Ole miss vs alabama 2015
Even in college, his pump fake guaranteed a big play

Sorry I’ll go back and refilm it
And thus Ohio St had start to lose at the future Big 10 West (in 2000).
Look at Meathead out there making plays on defense. LOL anyone get that reference or catch that?
Or Virginia Tech Nebraska
Mistitled … The time Ohio State held Drew Brees to only 10 points through three quarters
Didn’t he beat Michigan as well in 2000?
Purdue is not playing OSU of 2000, you are playing the OSU Beavers of 2021 without Drew Brees. Beavs by 5
BTFU!! (If you are one, you already know)
Couple thoughts, criminal Jacob Blake on his helmet and bending the knee to apologise for standing up for the Flag. Sometimes a couple of oh F**ks wipe away alot of atta boys.
fabulous football game. back when they played actual football. None of this 45-39 B.S. Good defense is good football. If you're not entertained by a classic 20-17 B1G football game than go watch the NBA. This is a high scoring game back in the day. Love it.
Toolshed face mask
Drew did not win this game. Offensive line, receivers and defense won it.
Agreed, he’s useless
All blury.
Alright I’ll go back and refilm it
