2009 and 2011 Drew Brees was an unstoppable force of nature.
Honestly he was unstoppable from 09 to 16 in my opinion but he's also one of my goats
@@noahcollins5468 I was gonna mention the fact that he willed those Saints teams to 7 wins with those horrific defenses is incredible.
@@noahcollins5468 he's 3rd in my opinion. Brady manning brees. And I live in Nola. Maybe bias but his records and numbers will back it up.
Also 2008, 2015, 2016, and 2018
Not really choked in the playoffs after the Super Bowl he choked many playoff games away to many to name
5 5000 yard passing yards is goat status to me
His goat status should be unquestionable, IMO
I just wish the refs didn’t steal a superbowl from him against the rams.
3 of them were back to back to back
Drew never winning an MVP will forever baffle me.
That used to really get on my nerves.
He should have won it over Peyton in 09.
It's a popularity contest. Brees was always going to lose with Manning, Brady and Rodgers around, no matter how good he was.
Drew brees definitely one off the 🐐
Drew Brees is the most accomplished quarterback we’ve ever seen. He was credited for his longevity for playing in the NFL for 20 seasons with the Chargers and Saints. His best years have to be when he was a member of the New Orleans Saints. He finished his career with 80,358 yards and 571 touchdowns with 752 rushing yards and 25 touchdowns. He is known for his passing ability, so he wasn’t no mobile quarterback. He stood 6 foot, 209 pounds as a pocket passer.
I don’t ever listen to anybody that tries saying a QB is too short to succeed because of how Drew Brees did it. Now we’re seeing more and more teams going for these shorter QBs because of the success Brees had in his career. Russell Wilson is well accomplished and while the verdict is still out on Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray, they still have potential to be great as well.
@@lakerskid2013 we don’t listen to naysayers at all. He went out and put in the work and it ain’t about the height or how much you weight. It’s about the skills and dedication that takes to get to the league. Go to the combine and show them that they’re worth being there.
@@blakebrown84 Very true, and some guys may not have the best combines in the world but then they prove themselves worthy otherwise.
Amazing WHODATT ⚜️⚜️⚜️
Absolutely the best free agent signing of all time .
Drew Brees is my all-time favorite QB. There was nothing better than watching Drew and the Saints on Monday Night Football in the Superdome! Drew always put on a show!
Me too
Drew should’ve won mvp in 2009 and possibly 2011, and 2012 if Payton didn’t get suspended
Drew Brees forever will be my favorite player. He was the first player I admired and till this day he is my personal goat.
Same on all counts. He's the primary reason why I became a Saints fan
His injury did technically end his career it just took a really long time. But he says he can't even throw a football anymore with his right arm
He gave all of it ⚜️⚜️⚜️WHODATT
That super bowl run people fail to realize that drew knocked off 3 hall of famers man.

I'm glad to have witnessed Drew Brees play for my Saints! "You just had to be there". That Sean Payton-Drew Brees offense was exciting football! 2018 still makes me sick to this day with the no-call and Drew deserved to at least have another crack at a Super Bowl!
Drew brees is one of my favorite quarterbacks to watch. His ball placement is second to none. He is a gentleman and family man. Great player but even better person.
I may be biased and I know there are some other great stories, t but his and the Saints story is SUCH a good one.. the injury, the hurricane.. FIRST Super Bowl. Awesome
Yea he had a great underdog story career
He needed the Saints as much as they needed him. Before Drew Brees the only notable QBs the Saints ever had that stayed there for any long period of time alongside being anything somewhat respectable were Archie Manning, Bobby Hebert, and Aaron Brooks.
Under appreciated man… he is top 5
Dr. Andrews never told him that he would never be able to throw again. There are plenty of videos floating around of Brees and Andrews talking about the injury and the surgery.
So thankful I got to watch this legend play. Still can’t believe he never won an mvp.
These videos make coming home from school better 🔥
He’s awesome,honestly think he’s underrated sometimes
He was one best qb in NFL
Glad to u back bro! 💯🔥
Thanks 💯
If not for Tom Brady, Drew Brees would hold nearly all the number 1 stats for a QB. Unfortunately, he was apart of teams that were just never Superbowl material and history showed that, bar that one season with Saints. One or the unluckiest QBs of all time.
He was not one of the unluckiest. Do you know how many elite QBs never won one super bowl?
@@BANANASAUCEYUMHe was unlucky, he was just THAT good. This man beat Kurt Warner, Brett Favre, and Peyton Manning to win a SB.
How did this guy not win an mvp is beyond me
12 Seasons in a row with 4200+ yards...Led the league 7x in yards
9 Seasons in a row with 32+ TDs...14 seasons with 25+ TDs
5 Seasons with 70%+ completion...4 of those seasons he led the league
3 seasons in a row with 5k+ yards...less than 200 yards away from having SIX 5k yard seasons in a row
If he didn't succumb to injuries in his final years he would have played just as long as Brady and kept every single one of his records.
Yep, I think you might be right there!
The GOAT
Hes the GOAT
lol
As a falcons fan i have to admit he was a beast, made our 2 meetings every year something worth watching, I hate drew brees as a qb but no one can deny hes one of the best to do it, only reason i hate him is cuz im a falcons fan
And it wouldn’t have been the same without Matti Ice WHODATT
The saints would be on the same level of playoff losers as the cowboys without him
I can agree to a extent only because we had a way better coach then the cowboys did through my lifetime yall still will never be them boys we may be the aints but we can be them boys
@@korylevergne8832 not a cowboys fan thank god but I can see your point
Just crazy he never won a single regular season MVP.
Drew brees then Tom Brady best qb of all time
He's one of the unluckiest quarterbacks of all time-TubFrog has a great video on that. Not only were his chances of ever winning anything (both championships and MVPs) severely diminished right off the bat by playing at the same time as Tom Brady, Ben Roethlisberger, Peyton Manning, and Aaron Rodgers, but he often had to carry his team due to the lack of talent around him, and even when he would make the playoffs, he and the Saints frequently got jobbed (perhaps as punishment for the scandal surrounding the only Lombardi he _did_ win). He put up insane stats anyway, including having the passing yards record for two years before it was broken by a single yard and completing an astonishing 96.7% of his passes in a game. Easily my favorite player as a kid and a large part of why I became a fan of the Saints.
GOAT
My idol!
I'm convinced the refs kept them out of the super bowl in 2018 because the league was still punishing them for Bountygate
The Saints was the scapegoat. Every team in the NFL has participated in bounties.
2011 Drew led in every QB stat except QBR who coincidently Rodgers led in, and Rodgers ended up winning MVP that season. Fast forward to 2018, Mahomes leads in every QB stat except QBR, which Drew led in that season and Mahomes ends up winning MVP.
MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!!!! You cannot tell me these NFL award voters did not have it out for him.
Fun fact, did you know Drew Brees was the last QB to beat Nick Saban twice? And that was way back in 98-99 in college
That is an interesting fun fact I’m assuming it’s from his time at Michigan state
@@JustFootball Yes when he was coaching there in the late 90s, he played against Perdus every year and he also had to deal with Brady since Brady was at Michigan at the same time
🐐
Throws 4000 every year.
Hes a hall of famer
You should do the rise and fall of the New England patriots. Like an hour long special 😉
The next video is exactly that but it won’t be an hour long stay tuned
Tubfrog has a 2 hour slapper on the pats
He'll always be in my top 5. Maybe even top 3. Crazy how much he's disrespected.
In my opinion he's top 10. I wouldn't put him in top 5

Goat
He's Dan Marino with a ring
Drew Brees is the GREATEST FA of all time. He's the greatest man in New Orleans Saints history. Sean Payton was a goat as well. Drew was meant in Nola. As a Saints fan myself. WHO DAT BABY!!!!!! Just to note my birthday is around the Super Bowl almost every year and that loss to the Rams was the worst call in NFL HISTORY. I literally didn't watch the super bowl because it was so boring that year😒😒. Rams vs Patriots 🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮 i didn't wanted to see football for that whole month.
4 mvps maybe 5 robbed sooooo sad ngl cause ppl like matt ryan got one
Better qb than Tom Brady
Drew Brees > Eli Manning
Is... Is this something people actually question?
@@silentandcliche yes. People think Eli because of his rings 🤦♀️
I wanna point out to the conspiracy theorists that we won the super bowl 4 almost 5 years after katrina so please dont be the idiot who says it was a sympathy super bowl.
People viewed him as average until he wore black and gold college and pros alike! 😂
Saint's or not the worst
Good presentation, but.
Brees was 9 - 9 in playoff appearances for how many years,?
Brady was 35 - 12.
There is a HUUGE difference between someone who can just pass a ball in distance extremely well, but then blow it in completions in 3rd & 4th downs.
ESPECIALY in the playoffs
Brady was able to make those completions in the red zone, 3rd & 4th downs.
Thats why he was 35 - 12 in playoff appearances, vs drew's 9 - 9.
Rest unsaid. Its a good presentation, but drew was NOT a playoff contender or superbowl appearance repeat. In a way, you have see the longevity of what makes a player good in that respect, brady had that. Brees didnt.
The difference is Brady almost never had a defense that was worst than top 10
@@JustFootball have to agree. So why could they not defend brees in the good years thru the playoffs..
9 wins - 9 losses, that's a lot of years to only make it to the Superbowl one time.
Agree on defense, but drew blew alot of playoff appearance with the interceptions that he's thrown, the last game he played which was wild card in the dome vs brady, defense was even on both sides, but drew again threw too many interceptions which cost the game, & that was the last one he ever played professionaly.
Well, to the future. The youth need to see change happen, my opinion just recruit locally, one day another bobby aber will appear and that will be the best thing ever.
How i feel about brees is another thing entirely. Don't care for him like everyone else. 🥲😂
The saints will have a winner one day, and that will be a sight to see thankfully, 👍
@@thomasisinspacethomasisins8471Even the rare times Drew Brees had really solid defenses he still blew it, same with Aaron Rodgers although I would put Brees over Rodgers on the all-time ranks. Tom Brady still was more than good enough to carry a team if his defense was struggling so even if he had more years without a defense even ranked in the top of the league, I bet he still would’ve found a way to get it done because of how good he was and how capable he was with taking over games. I’m not saying Brees couldn’t do the same but I definitely agree with you that he would’ve found a way to screw it up more times than not.
Let's just remember that the Saints had to cheat in 2009 to get as far as they did. They would never have even made it to the Super Bowl without that bounty program.
You are so right…
Lets just ignore the fact we were the highest scoring offense, had the most all purpose yards, and had one of the best rosters at that time. Ignore that and you are right, the defense was why we won. Especially in the NFCC. Thats why it was back and forth the entire game. And Im sure the 4 fumbles the Vikings had changed nothing.
Matt ryan still better
Huh?
How?
Im a die hard falcons fan but i gotta say its neck and neck 😂 drew was that guy but matt is the most insanely underrated player ever 💯💪🏾 he top 10 all time qbs in nfl history
@@WillWilbern fax
@@ALPHABET_S0UP Look at matt Ryan stats especially that MVP year. yes drew brees was a beast but 2 NFC championships and like 5 playoff appearance altogether for matt Ryan and if we don't choke so much he would have a ring even 2
Great but not Brady, Rodgers or Manning
I think he is insanely overrated
I understand your opinion but how is 5 5000 passing yards overrated?
@@acdcking1234 3 of the 5 5k seasons, they missed the playoffs.
I give you 2011 He has great that year, that's the only year i would say he was great in.
Plus he underperformed tremendously in the playoffs.
Wasn't good vs the seahawks in 2013, game was closer because garbage time td with 10 seconds left
Didn't play well in Minneapolis miracle game
The missed call vs The Rams gets all of the blame, but that didn't lose them the game. The saints got the ball first in OT and Brees threw an interception.
Wasn't good & outplayed by Kirk in 2019
Horrible and the reason they lost vs the buccs.
Imo he was a bit of a stat padder & people over look his flaws and his performances by looking at the box score and his regular season stats. I don't think any team was ever scared of facing Drew Brees in the way they were scared to face Peyton (which is ironic because peyton also didn't have much playoff success for being an all time great) or Brady.
How is it stat padding? He HAD to throw that much because of how bad his defenses were.
@@agentorange1156 you’re crazy, drew was extremely precise and intelligent multiple db’s have stated how he would pick apart coverages. Just say you’re a hater. Not to mention he beat Brady and Peyton head to head so there’s no debate
@@DonnnationTV head to head literally doesn't matter. Tom and peyton don't play defense. If that's the case Rex Grossman beat Drew head to head
