- Only the second time that an undefeated Michigan and an undefeated Ohio State have faced off in the final game of the regular season led to one of the most highly anticipated college football game in years. No. 3 Michigan traveled to Columbus, Ohio to take on No. 2 Ohio State in ‘The Shoe’. The Buckeyes came out on fire, until a few long touchdowns from the Wolverines calmed the nerves. Marvin Harrison Jr. caught a TD just before halftime to give Ohio State the 20-17 edge going into the break. In the second half, everything changed. J.J. McCarthy looked outstanding. He finished the game with 263 pass yards and three touchdowns. Donovan Edwards stepped up huge, including the final two dagger touchdown runs to finish the game with 216 rush yards. No. 3 Michigan defeated No. 2 Ohio State in Columbus for the first time since 2000. The Wolverines will play in the Big Ten Championship game in back-to-back years next week.

I don't think enough is being said about the play Sainristil made in the endzone. That would have made it 31-27... I think the game plays out differently from there. What a play... knew he didn't have a play on the ball till it was in the dudes hands!!

Future is bright with him. But this was a complete TEAM win. All across the board. Michigan plays complimentary football as well as any team in the country .

Day had the look of someone choking....tight, stiff, angry.
He looked and made decisions of a coach playing not to lose...that decision not to go on 4 and 6 just before halftime, even when the offense was on a quick-hitting drive, and even when Stroud tried to wave off the punt team, I knew then that Ohio State had no heart to be aggressive and win. The second half proved that correct..
What's interesting is Harbaugh was having fun from 2015-2020, and his teams were terrible. What changed in 2021?
As an Ohio resident whom dislikes OSU with a passion seeing that stadium quiet and stunned was so awesome. Buckeye fans are the most egotistical fans glad that team from pure Michigan ran them off the field. Could see Michigan going on a run in the series too.

Dude doesn’t get enough credit. I seriously don’t understand the hatred that man has received when he first arrived at Michigan. It may have taken him a while to beat OSU, but he literally changed Michigan from being an average big 10 team into a dominant top 10 team.

I’m glad Michigan won. I’m not an alumni of either school. But I got so sick of hearing how great Ohio State was all year when they looked good but not great. They can’t say enough how accurate CJ Stroud is yet, I see him over, throwing receivers all the time.

I know one thing as a USC Trojan fan we better have a top 5 recruiting on defense to compete in the Big Ten. Harbaugh always has a physical offensive line and runs the ball til ya fold. As for the Buckeyes there receiving core is always top 3 in the nation.
