The bottom line is, there's no actual sound evidence that points to any person being the Zodiac
There is evidence but CA DOJ last tested the evidence 8 yrs ago or so. They need to send the items most likely to contain DNA to an advanced lab like Parabon NanoLabs. That is the last best chance. There are stamps and envelopes. Every thing is probably contaminated.

One problem I think is that Graysmith set a bad precedent in pretending Arthur Leigh Allen was Zodiac. That was stupid and dishonest -- but it led people to think they could accuse people of being the Zodiac -- with no supporting reasoning.
@norbertk9595 Literally, hundreds of people have had their name dragged through the mud, with absolutely no evidence at all to support any of the claims. We'll more than likely never know his true identity

Finally somebody with common sense..The victim that survived said the girl who was shot said his name was Richard ..that’s a important key piece of evidence that many who go over this case skip over or act like it means nothing when it’s everything I think ..Richard gaikowski ..or someone else named Richard is the GUY

No. Read the initial police report -- in which Mageau said *nothing* about a "Richard."
It was after decades of substance abuse and homelessness in which a barely-coherent Mageau added the "Richard" part.
@@norbertk9595 bro I got a uncle who’s had years of severe substance abuse ..and he remember ever detail minor or major tragic thing of his life before and while high..He’s been said it years ago..He said he wasn’t sure at first if it was the same person who chased them which is who Darlene Ferrin Said was Richard and if he knew she told him about ihim being the zodiac killer he would kill her…He was scared duhh

Excellent presentation BT:TC, you got the main points across. I never did understand why LE never took Gaik's palm print or fingerprints. DNA would be available if he was buried, if cremated one would have to research geneology to attempt a profile. But it was him, he named himself many times in his cyphers and codes, but you must understand how to decode them. It was his 'game' and he made the rules, you just get to play along...
Law enforcement never took Gaikowski's palm print or fingerprints because there was no credible reason to do so. There is no reason to think he was the Zodiac.

I've always thought it was Richard Gaikowski. He was a newspaper guy, looked like the composite and for me the clincher is the newspaper registration mark is literally just a Zodiac symbol.

Gaikowski's name is in one of the ciphers. I forget which one but it's there. I think it's the 3rd cipher sent but whichever it is it has the letters G Y K E in it. G Y K E is solved to be C A U S. G Y K E = CAUS. What do you need to solve any cipher? The KEY..... GYKE CAUS KEY. Zodiac was known to misspell words.
No, it's not. The letters "Gyke" appear in a cipher -- and Gaikowski never referred to himself in this way.
The Zodiac stated he would *not* divulge his name -- and there's no intelligent reason for doubting this.
@@norbertk9595It's there, I'm not saying he was the Zodiac but it's something to consider since he is one of the best suspects out there. The name is a puzzle inside of a puzzle, Zodiac said a lot of things that may not have been true ( his victim count could be one of them). To assume Gaikowski name isn't in the cipher because he never spelled his name that was is a bit closed minded on the subject. the Zodiac and whoever was the Zodiac could have been two completely different people. Look at the BTK killer, family man, church goer, at one time a code enforcement officer. Two different personas. Zodiac could easily have two different personas too. One a seemingly normal man and the other a murderer. Gaikowski's name is in the cipher for some reason.
@@TheBigfoot425 No, this was dealt with many years ago on the "San Francisco Slaughter" TV show. Gaikowski's friends debunked the nonsense in various ways, e.g., pointing out that Gaikowski abbreviated his name with "Gaik."
One also got a sense from that show of twitchy and strange "Goldcatcher," the original promoter of the delusion that Gaik was the Zodiac, is.

Has anyone seen the episode of Forensic Files I believe it was that was about the Zodiac. I thought it was strange because they had caught the Zodiac on that episode. Although every other single source says he was never caught.

I always felt that the zodiac took Paul stines glasses after the murder and wore them. Hence the drawing with those type of glasses and why they were missing.

This is the zodiac, is how the letters went....notably not this is the zodiac killer or murderer. When Arthur Leigh Allen rebutted the accusation saying I am not the (goddamn) Zodiac I thought that was a huge similarity and quite a weird way of saying it.

I believe the police know who it was all along or who they were all along and if it got out, it would ruin their reputation. I don’t doubt one minute that they got DNA and they’re just sitting on it and they will continue to sit on it.

It was no doubt an esoteric matter to whatever person(s) committed the crimes.
Why dress up as an executioner? Clearly what that meant, especially given character's name in the Mikado.
Why write letters in code? Admittedly, its a good way to narrow the chance of being convicted of specific crimes. It created a huge obstacle...
There is definitely an esoteric aspect to the case. I think there should be more weight attributed to the things mentioned in the letters, etc. The Mikado connection. (There are a few suspects connected to mikado in sf...) which is strange when you look at Ross Sullivan. Very far fetched, but at least two suspects in this case were obsessed with Mikado and lived/worked very close together. The locations of stines residence and the cab pickup. Could be personal.
The name gaik appearing in the ciphers, the mention of the name by Darlene... Though mageau did point out allen...
The mugshot is certainly a revealing look at an individual. What was he arrested for in 1965(it appears) ?
Really wouldn't be surprised if the Zodiac really did commit a lot more murders as they claimed.
Someone needs to figure out who was in Riverside at the time. No doubt really with "the confession" and subsequent zodiac letter using the exact phrasing and identical misspelling "twich" and the "z" symbol on letters to bates' family.

Like Jack The Ripper, there will always be possible suspects, but there will never be a an answer to who really was The Zodiac or Jack. The only persons who know who they were/are. Will have died as victims or the Perpetrators themselves.
There is physical evidence, I believe it's blood, that links to one of the suspects for Jack the Ripper, on a old piece of clothing from one of the victims. It was a Polish immigrant, his name was Aaron but I don't remember his last name. He used to be a doctor, and he was insane and committed to as asylum, which is why the murders stopped. Don't know how more people aren't aware of this

She was loved by the entire community, and her murder shocked the entire Capital District of New York for many years.

The only DNA was recovered from behind a stamp on a zodiac letter many moons later. None of the finger prints recovered at the crimes scenes matched each other or any suspect.

The story I head was that Gaikowski was gay. And the theory went gay men kill other gay men and not heterosexual couples. I’ve had never heard that Mike Mageau said Darlene Ferrin identified her killer as “Richard.” I’ve seen multiple interviews with Mageau and due to his injuries his recounting of events that night is highly unreliable and has changed multiple times over the years. His testimony would never hold up in court. Also, the operator who took the call the night of blue rock springs homicide said that the recording of Gaikowski could be Zodiac. Not that he was Zodiac. Tom Voight has put a lot of time and effort on this. And I generally agree with his conclusions. And Gaikowski is a more viable suspect than most. But I’m still not convinced.
I think there was more than one killer you may or not have been connected Reno Magoo and the cops that stopped the killer of Ruby Stein picked different suspects.
No one has ever given a reason for supposing that Gaikowski was murderous.

There's actually NO reason to think Gaikowski is the Zodiac, other than he looks like the composite (as do a lot of people). The ONLY reason anyone is even talking about Gaikowski is a mentally ill man, Blaine Blaine aka Goldcatcher, became convinced Gaikowski, a friend of his, was doing all kinds of weird things to him and threatening him to not reveal that Gaikowski was the Zodiac. Like, you know, the Zodiac totally would let someone who knew his secret live. Seriously, you need to look at a scan of the Goldcatcher manifesto (or whatever he was calling it). It looks like a crayon drawing of things we would make for D&D campaigns in junior high.

@Cole____ You are wrong. For starters, there is no official website on the Zodiac. And I guarantee you I've read far more on the case than you. Actually read up on the case, and read the actual accusation that Goldcatcher makes against Gaikowski. Only genuinely stupid people would believe such tripe.
