It doesn't take a rocket scientist either to see that this was sloppy police work they should have got her to the station as quickly as possible and had her listen to phone conversations from each suspect that appeared in my nuptial whatever and see if she could identify him by his voice on the phone instead of doing that 40 years later

writing books is usually meaningful, that would be like writing two sentences for a whole book. "and then he said GoOoOd bYeeee"

It’s important in some way that Zodiac made the call at all. She even knew about the shooting before the call, so it was not like there was any need for him to inform the police. The fact he seemed rehearsed means he probably intended to make the call as part of a larger plot, implying he did not do it spur of the moment and the victims were intentionally chosen, with this call planned. Just very fascinating to understand the “why” of this because everything he did must have had motives beyond simply enjoying murder.

The "Goooood Bye" sounds like something JOSEPH DE ANGELO would have done. He taunted all his victim's families with creepy phone calls. He got much delight out of doing this.

theory is the killer (whomever he was, a copycat most likely) did not want the dispatcher to know he intentionally let the man live. Whats the use of wearing a costume if both die. If both die Nobody will ever talk about or write about the outfit of the Zodiac.

A lot of people think the Zodiac was smart he was not he was lucky added to that sloppy police work and you don't take a extremely intelligent person to get away in those situations
